The Changed Man Audio Book (The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 4) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Robin Rankin

The Changed Man
The Olympic Peninsula Series Book 4

I have listened to all of the books so far and I had a hard time liking Jake due to the history and I unfortunately hold a grudge so Jake is still not a favorite of mine but that did not make me not enjoy the book. It was a great way to escape after a challenging day.

Jake’s perspective seems to change thanks to his friend Rory and that brings him back home amongst his Mom and siblings and their families. Chiara was a bonus when he got home.

My favorite things were Rory and the house Jake ended up in. It was the perfect place for Jake to end up.

We finally get the meet the missing O’Connell siblings Edward, not going to lie I’m looking forward to getting his story.

Ms. Treadgold does a good job narrating, her connection to the characters definitely adds a little something to it.

5 Stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Changed Man is Book 4 of the Olympic Peninsula Series and I have enjoyed every book so far in this series but this is my favorite (so far 😊). I highly recommend listening to this series in order as you get to know the characters and I loved this story getting to know Jake in this book. This author gives me all the feels of romance, family drama, angst and definite roller coaster of emotions in this story.

Jake O’Connell is back in town…attending his brother’s upcoming wedding. When Jake resigns from his company…and being in town…things can seem tense. With a new career on the horizon as a writer… Jake also fights with the emotions of losing a friend and also charming the likes of Chlara….

Definitely give this a listen to find out what happens … and I love that the author narrates her own book.

The Changed Man Audio Book (The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 4) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Amanda Glaspie

As we continue to follow the stories of each member of this talented family we meet Jake O’Connell. Jake, who has quite the successful career in business has decided to leave that life behind and showed back up to Port Townsend. There he instantly rocks the boat, especially when he meets Chiara. Chiara is married to a man who clearly doesn’t love her and she is quickly swept away by Jake. This is a sweet romance with many ups and downs and ultimately ending in a surprise ending. This book continues to bring new and surprising things to the surface with members of the family having special talents. It could get a bit confusing at times as there are so many characters and it doesn’t focus solely on Jake and Chiara but overall, a good listen.

The Changed Man  Audio Book is the fourth book in The Olympic Peninsula Series.  This series just keeps getting better and better with each new book. I’ve truly enjoyed listening to this series and this one may be my favorite yet.  The narrator does an amazing job bringing the characters to life with different tones of their voice.  I literally listened to this every break and on my way home I had to know what was going to happen next.  I just want to say if you haven’t already started this series I highly recommend starting with the first book. It’s a great series and you get back story on what’s been going on and get to know the characters better.  Im not going to give anything away. I highly recommend giving this a listen to find out how things turn out for Jake. I’m looking forward to reading/listening to more from this Author.

The Changed Man Audio Book (The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 4) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Shelly Kittell

4/5 stars

I am such a fan of this series. The author does such a fantastic job of portraying family dynamics and family relationships. Though this is book 4 and it’s focus is on Jake and his slow burn relationship with Chiara,we see the relationships still developing with the other couples. We also get to see him work on rebuilding his relationship with Joe and his other family members. This book, heck the whole series, hits me in the feelers. I always come away feeling every emotion. These guys feel like they could be part of your family or close friends. They are easy to relate to. Such a strong writing style that pulls you in and you are engaged until the end. Hearing it in audio provides a new level to it in the way of feeling those emotions when it comes to the relationships. Every time Chiara would real to Lorenzo about Miss Bigfoot, I swear I woul loose it and spit what I was drinking out. This might be my favorite among the series. I loved the narration. It was fantastic all around.

The Changed Man Audio Book (The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 4) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Toni Sellers

The Changed Man Book 4 in The Olympic Peninsula series.
Well, I was so excited to see that there was a book four and hope for more. I have loved each and every book in this series and yes, I do think you could read this as a standalone, but why? You will love them all. I have enjoyed the details that the author has put into this book as for the fact that I LIVE in Port Townsend and have for my whole life, so these seem to have a special connection for me. Very well written contemporary romance and all the characters are in some way intertwined, another reason you should read them all. The characters are interesting and fun to get to know them all. The family dynamics can be very relatable. Lots of emotion, drama, love, family, angst, and friends all fast paced enough to keep you engaged and wanting more.
I can’t recommend this book and the others in this series enough.

The Changed Man Audio Book (The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 4) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Cindy Mayberry

Well Welcome Jake, brother to the groom. Jake had been outside the family for a long time. Will his brothers accept him back into the family? If you have been following this series, you know this will be a challenge for all involved. But Jake is not about to give up nor will his family let him go. Then when romance fills the air this story takes on a whole new journey. I recommend you step back and get to know these amazing characters. By starting with book 1. This author has once again brought forth an amazing add on to this series. This is a great story to listen to. It is a fast paced and emotional story and I loved every minute! I am looking forward to seeing where this author takes us next.

The Changed Man Audio Book (The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 4) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Laura Jones

The Changed Man is book 4 of the Olympic Peninsula series written (and narrated) by Cat Treadgold. In this book, we meet Jake who has taken on a new career that his family was unaware of after he resigned as CEO of the family business. Jake now writes thrillers! He shows up in Port Townsend for David and Maddie’s wedding, and to his family’s surprised, Jake is quite different than the man he used to be. He decides to stay in Port Townsend for a while and ends up renting an old Victorian. He is visited by his recently deceased friend, Rory, who haunts him (talks to him in his mind). Jake ends up meeting Chiara, the aunt and caregiver of David’s son Lorenzo. He is immediately taken by her, but unfortunately, she’s already married. Fortunately for Jake, she is in a loveless marriage and the two end up falling in love. This was only my second book I’ve read in this series, but after reading the previous one, it was easier for me to follow along with all the couples that the book covers. It was a very entertaining read, and I’d like to go back and read the previous two that I’ve not yet read to get a full picture of the family and their stories. I highly recommend not only this book, but the series as a whole. I also really enjoyed the author’s note at the end where she opens up and gives some personal touches to the readers.

The Changed Man Audio Book (The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 4) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is not my first audiobook by this author but it is one of my favorites.  I found this audio easy to listen to.  An audiobook that is engaging with characters that come to life by the narrator’s different tones of voice.  They had me wanting to listen to more.  This is a story about what happens when Jake goes to attend his brother’s wedding and things get turned upside down.  I enjoyed the characters and what they brought to the story.  I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook.  I highly recommend this audio.

Jake O’Connell causes quite a stir by showing up in Port Townsend for his brother David’s wedding. The twin of country heartthrob Joe Bob Blade has upended his enviable life by resigning as CEO of the family business. In North Bend, he dressed to the nines, dazzled associates, and resided in an architect’s showplace. But he bore a grudge against the brothers who left him to hold down the fort while they gallivanted off to follow their bliss.
Now Jake is content to rattle around in a rented Victorian mansion. He appears easygoing, though distracted. His recently dead friend haunts his thoughts, making him fear for his sanity.
Jake has a new career, one frowned upon in his social circle. He writes thrillers. The muse he finds in Port Townsend is just as inappropriate: the married, beguiling Chiara.

Rock Bottom (Satan’s Devils MC Book #7) Audiobook by Manda Mellett – Review by Kay Stritesky

You cannot go wrong with these books! Whether reading or listening the author and narrator is so good at keeping the readers attention and telling the story so that the reader is left wanting more. I love that while I have snagged this series every chance I get, these books can be read by themselves or in order. I also love the series that break off from each of these books. 10/10 readers will not be disappointed with any book this author gives us!

Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Kay Stritesky

I cannot say enough good things about not only this book but this series! It is impossible to lose interest over time and bonus, they can all be read stand alone! In this one the narration fits the story and keeps readers attention. Its like Sons of Anarchy without all the violence and easier on the stomach! I cannot wait for more of not only this series but this author as well!

Peg’s Stand: Satan’s Devils MC #6 by Manda Mellett
Narrated by Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister
Five Stars

This by far is my favorite Satan’s Devils book, but I tend to say that with every new book Ms Mellett writes. I have been waiting for Peg’s story. It was definitely worth the wait. Darcy is the perfect woman for Peg. She is a strong woman who encounters and surmounts obstacles along the way.
This book is narrated by Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister as have been the prior books in this series. They work well with each other to bring the characters to life. The voices are easy on the ears. I look forward to listening to more books narrated by them in the future.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The main character, Ian, has lived in fear of his magic and was afraid to use it. But when he discovers a new threat, he is forced into using his magic once more and rediscovering his abilities.

I really enjoyed the character developments and watching and reading Ian’s ability to adjust and grow with his magic. I also love how the author was able to weave in intrigue and a fantasy world, along with the danger that now approaches Ian and his world. Definitely a great fantasy read!

Noémie’s Journey AUDIO BOOK by Victoria Saccenti- Review by Lauren West

This story will truly pull at your heartstrings and play to your every emotion. This story truly shows that love discriminates against no one and when its meant to be its meant to be. Richard and Noemie fight through many parallels to be together, and the strength from their love and each other is what moves them forward in the extreme racist south of the 1960s.
Noemi is a beautiful girl who is sweet and full spirited. Living with a drunken/abusive father she struggles to protect her younger brother and strives to provide them with a better life. Upon meeting Richard its instant chemistry that is physical, but deeply emotional as well. As we experience their journey to a HEA it becomes a tale that truly sticks with you. The narration of this story was completely amazing and at times it gave me goosebumps.

Kingdom of War: Kingdom Journals, Book 4 by Tricia Copeland
4 out of 5 stars
Tricia Copeland is one of my favorite authors. I have read many books of hers and thus I was delighted to pick up this little gem. This is the fourth installment in the Kingdom Journals series and a fabulous addition to the set. We meet up with Hunter who is the leader of a long-awaited trinity. Those who are going to restore the order. As his story progresses, I am reminded of Hercules and the requirement of the 12 labors, I find that these are similar to Hunter and the trials that he must complete. Hunter is a complex and often frustrating character as he is constantly at battle with himself and his growing power. He is struggling to control what he thinks is not his and not turn into the father whom he hates. The other two of the trinity are fantastic characters to Hunter and compliment him very well. The conversation, banter, and story progression make this a completely easy read or listen to. Lovers of Paranormal/Romance/Young Adult/Fantasy will love this book. 4 out of 5 stars.

Miss Understanding (The Miss Series Book 1) Audio Book by Aubrey Bondurant – Review by Charlisa Wahtomy-Alba

Liam Davenport is a workaholic who has his dream of making partner in his sights. He doesn’t want or need any distractions which is exactly what his assistant will be.

Kendall Tate is the lucky lady that gets to be the assistant to Liam. He may be easy on the eyes, but he is a jerk. It seems that no matter what she does it is never good enough.

This was a a good story. There were a few times where I felt kind of fed up with Liam being a jerk, but once we got a glimpse into his background it completely changed my way of thinking. By the end of the book I felt that these two had balanced each other out very well.

Heart of Stone (The Stone Series Volume 1) AUDIO BOOK by Dakota Willink – Review by May Leadstone

A whirlwind romance with a dark side is how I would classify Alex and Krystina’s story! I found this story to be a very enjoyable and delicious read! Though this story is very reflective of others in this genre, I find Krystina’s story more inviting and relatable than previous reads of mine in this category. Her reactions and thoughts throughout the story are the way I might have reacted if it was me in this situation. In most other books I have read, the woman always seems to be “weaker” or “damsel in distress” and this was nice to have someone who is trying to do better than that! Who DOESN’T WANT THAT! Thank you Ms. Willink! The only real issue I had was the way the narrators performed the story! I wanted them to be more expressive than monotoned as well as their emphasis/inflection at places it didn’t sound right to have it. Sometimes they would find the right place other times not..it was hard to get past. I gave it 3 stars as it was something I got used to it and I wanted to satisfy my curiosity about what happened at the end of the novel!! I am looking forward to the next volume!

Dirty Tactics (Special Weapons & Tactics Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Peyton Banks – Review by Charlisa Wahtomy-Alba

Marcus MacArthur is a SWAT member, former Navy SEAL, and all around tough guy. He is constantly putting his life in danger so he doesn’t do relationships. What woman in their right mind would want to constantly worry about whether or not he would be coming home that night? It isn’t until his feisty neighbor, Serena Rucker, moves in and catches his attention that he is contemplating having a serious relationship. One night with her should have been enough, but now that he’s had her he can’t seem to think of anything else. With his profession there are bound to be people that want to see him either badly hurt or dead. When he learns that she has a target on her back due to their connection he would do everything in his power to keep her safe.

Serena Rucker is an emergency room nurse that has had her eye on Marcus for a while. She knows what she’s getting into by starting any kind of relationship with him, but she worries anyway. Will she be able to make Marcus see things her way? Being associated with a man like Marcus isn’t going to be easy especially when they are willing to hurt those he cares for. When trouble comes knocking Serena is caught in the middle and used as leverage against Marcus. Will Marcus be able to save her from a horrible situation or will he be too late?

This is the first book I have read or even listened to by this author. It’s definitely not something to listen to in a room full of people, haha. The two leads are both headstrong and aren’t afraid to go for what they want.

I loved this story. While short and sweet, it was absolutely well pieced together and the story moved smoothly. It did not feel rushed and each chapter rolled into the other without feeling lost in the story as if having missing important information.
The chemistry between Stone and Adeline is quick and fantastic. It burns hot and quick and I love the banter and quick wit that Adeline has.
This book is for lovers of YA, and Romance. This is a solid 5 out of 5 stars.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Luke by Kimberly Lewis, narrarated by Tiffany Williams is book 3 in The McKades of Texas series. The characters were fun and light hearted and I really enjoyed the relationship build up. The story line was fun and sweet and just enough suspense of what was going to happen next kept me on the edge of my seat. I’m very particular about audible narrarators, but I really liked her. I will definitely read other books by this author. This is a newer author for me, and I’m really enjoying this series. I give this book a solid 5 stars.

Luke by Kimberly Lewis is book three of The McKades of Texas series. It’s narrated by Tiffany Williams.

I really enjoyed this book when I read it that I decided I wanted to listen to the audiobook as well. This audiobook was great! This is the first book I’ve listened to that the female narrator narrated both male and female viewpoints. The narrator did such a great job it didn’t take away from the story at all.

I highly recommend this book!!

Luke (The McKades of Texas, #3)Luke by Kimberly Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have only listened to about 4-5 audiobooks before I downloaded Luke. I love childhood crushes turned to adult romances so I decided to give it a go. At first I thought that I would be annoyed by the southern twang but I LOVED it and felt very connected to the woman’s voice who read the book. I felt like I was right there in the story and found myself wanting more quiet time to listen to this book.
In this book you have Karlie and Luke. Karlie has ALWAYS loved Luke but she was much younger than Luke. Fast forward years later Karlie has graduated from college and ends up doing an internship at Luke’s family’s horse farm. Luke and Karlie start a secret relationship because they don’t want to upset their families that are really close. I really enjoyed this book and now want to go back and read about the rest of the family!

Luke: The McKades of Texas by Kimberly Lewis
4 out of 5 Stars
This book is sassy. I love friends to lovers books, but I love it even more when one is so deeply invested in the outcome of their forever.
Karlie Kyle loves Luke McKade, has for years. But all Luke sees is his mother’s best friend’s daughter. Determined to change how he sees her, Karlie returns to her hometown, to Luke family ranch to be specific, to do an internship after college. Luke is gob smacked at how just not so little Karlie is any more.
Convincing Luke to be her summer fling isn’t as hard as Karlie thought, but convincing him to be her forever….well that is going to take nothing less than a miracle.
This is a dual POV book. The flipping viewpoints allows us to see both perspectives of the story from both dynamics. Karlie is fierce and independent and knows exactly what she wants and what she will do to get it. Luke is a typical alpha, southern male who is struggling with changing his commitment phobia ways to obtain his happily ever after.
This is easily a 4 out of 5 stars!
