A cute story that shows that just because a kid is acting out and being mean does not mean that they are just a mean kid. Sometimes it is because they are missing out on something important at home, such as parents involved in their life.

An enjoyable bedtime read. It tells the tale of Donut trying to make a new friend after their best friend moved away. Each day Donut tries a new way to befriend Peanut the squirrel. Each day Peanut runs away making Donut sad. Later a bird named Bobo speaks with Donut to share how Peanut is actually scared of them and why. In the end Donut finally makes friends with not only Peanut but Bobo too!

This book breaks down how sometimes our best intentions can be viewed differently from another person. We might not always see this and sometimes looking at it differently can help us.

A super cute story about a witch named Gadrella. Everything has always been the same year after year. Desiring change Gadrella gets to work. With changes made she meets back with the other witches. Some are scared at her arrival with everything different but with some time the others are excited to join in her changes.

The story is absolutely adorable. The pictures throughout the book are stunning and match with the story. The cutest bedtime read!

Seeing the bond between siblings while solving mysteries makes a wonderful story. It is great for young readers to read about. Family enjoyed this book for bedtime story time. Cannot wait to see what mystery the crew gets to solve next!

An absolutely sweet tale about a foster kid with a dream and a caring heart. Cam learns about children being hurt by adults from a new program. This makes him sad and determined to create a hero robot to protect those in need. It does not go his way when he tries to build his hero bot, but with a dream and determination he writes a book about his hero bot that he brings to the hospital to share with the children there. This story shares what empathy a person can feel for others and how this turns into a drive to help. It shares that when putting your mind to it that you can do great things.

This is an adorable book about a group of children trying to catch a pig. At the pig wrestling contest all the children are trying to get their hands on a greased up pig to catch it. The main character and a school bully are seen chasing after the animal. It shows how determination can go a long way in a tough situation. It also shows that just because one person is a bully that does not mean you have to be the same. The illustrations are just as adorable as the story itself.

This book is educational about taking cats to the vet. It is written at a level that is simple to understand. It compares common human doctor visits to that of a visit to the vet. This comparing makes it even more understanding for young readers. The information provided is good to know for owning a pet cat. It does make me on equal footing knowing my own cats are troublesome to get into their create to go to the vet. I highly recommend this as a read for young kiddos with pets needing to go to the vet.

The synopsis of the book piqued my interest even though I typically do not read books with politics as a major part of the story. I was happily surprised to find that I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to pick up the next in the series. 

This book follows our main character Lea living her second, fake life. Her original life she was Michaela Manning. As a young child that survived the assassination of her grandfather she was put into a new life to protect her. Living the quiet life away from the public is ruined when her father runs for office. Lea must now learn who she can trust as she goes on the run.

The characters in the story are fleshed out with depth that makes them relatable and real feeling. The author takes you on a twisty ride of surprise, suspense, and action with a dash of romance sprinkled in.

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It is full of twists and turns that keep you glued to the pages. One of those reads that is hard to put down. It follows main characters Anne and Declan in their love story. After abandoning her at the alter the two don’t see each other again for awhile. But then Declan is back and demanding another chance. Pick up the book to find out how their second chance at love goes!

The children need to teach their pups to reamin calm when around new places, new people, and all sorts of new noises. As they go about getting their puppies ready it provides educational information for owning a puppy. It also comes with a check list and real-life adventure ideas to try out.

This is a cute read for young readers. We follow Soara who can fly! At recess she cannot be seen but her friends know where she is at. One day she flies farther than usual to follow the butterflies. We get to join her on her adventure and see if she can make ut back before recess ends. An adorable story that shows with imagination you can do anything. It is complete with beautiful illustrations. An absolutely fun read!

A delightful mystery with a unique cast of characters. A murder at Fairytale Forest theme park has Cat at the top of the list of suspects. The victim is not well liked by Cat or anyone else for that matter. Knowing she is not the murderer she teams up with Zoe and the rest of the felines to solve the murder. The setting of this story is truly unique and one of my favorite parts of the book. I would definitely visit here if it was real.The characters are well written. I enjoyed reading along with them as the story unfolds. I could not put the book down having to know who the real murderer is. Will Cat and Zoe be able to solve this murder? Will Cat clear herself from the suspect list? Pick up this cozy mystery to find out!

I found that the information it gave on neutralizing perfectionism while maintaining accountability and success to be very helpful at work. I have a new set of tools to work with both at work and at home. This book gives solutions that help with avoiding not finishing and constantly restarting writing projects. As an aspiring writer these solutions are handy to have to work past possible obstacles and keep going.

An emotional read that draws you in from the beginning. The main characters Scoob and RC are easy to connect with how well they are written. We meet them in a time of their lives where they are trying to survive. Scoob wants to become the next famous jazz player and finds herself being dragged along with RC on an unwanted roadtrip. The end of this trip leaves them in a small town far from where they started. Stuck here the new dam in town breaks causing chaos in the wake of this. I could not put the book down needing to know what was happening to the siblings next.

I picked up this book as C.A. King has become an auto read author for me after reading several of their other works. The cover was also eye-catching and as an individual allergic to the majority of Sushi a way to interact with it without dying. That said I did not die from reading Evil Sushi but did enjoy this book. There was a lack of character connection and depth. The premise of the story was different from other books I have read. 

Two fishermen in a world running low on resources find the catch of a lifetime! If only they knew the truth to these fish from down below. What waits in the dark depths of the ocean? Pick up the book for a most unique reading experience and find out!

First the cover of this book caught my attention then the idea of a duck shifter had my curiosity peaked. The story behind this eye catching cover was absolutely amazing and a fresh take on an animal shifter book. 

An odd shifter out as a duckling compared to all the larger animal shifters. Our main character is made to feel out of place and like she just doesn’t belong. Following along her journey to finding herself was and possibly snagging the Prince she has been crushing on?

Cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

The Borosa Legacy book 1 was a great read. My children and I read the book together enjoying the adventure and self discovery that Amese went through. Young and old readers can thoroughly enjoy this book. It got many different life lesson conversations going during our reading. A book that fosters interest and conversation is always a plus as a parent.

At only 13 Amese is being trained to be the next to rule. She encounters lessons in turning into animals and more throughout her journey. Will she succeed or fail?

An adorable tale of a girl that is a knight and not a princess. Kris is spending time with grandmother at her farm while her father is off for a work assignment. It is here she discovers a world that seems right out of one of her books within the woods. In trying to find her way out she befriends Gregory, a little terrified elf. He shares grave news with her about the missing Prince and mayor of his kingdom. Good thing Kris is a knight and can use her knight training to save these missing people and find her way home. 

This book made for a great read with my children before bed. Friendship, imagination, and characters that are relatable can all be found in this adventure. It even reminded my daughter that just because she isn’t a boy doesn’t mean she cannot be a ninja turtle!

An exciting children’s mystery read that is a fast paced and fun read. The characters are well written and easily relatable. Reading along with them it feels like the reader is part of the gang solving the mystery. A good story for young readers to get lost in or for reading aloud for bedtime. 

It follows three young children named Arthur, Beth, and Timmy along with a dog named Cody as they try to solve a mystery. A 200 year old time capsule is gone from where it should be. If they find it in time they could win $1,000. Working together will the dynamic team find what is missing and earn the money?

Absolutely adorable kids mystery book! It makes for a great bedtime read for children. Both my kiddos enjoyed reading it with me to their niece and nephew. It was a hit with all four kiddos so I call that a major win! Reading it and listening to the kids try to solve the mystery alongside the trio in the book really showcased how great the story was.

Dylan is back with his sister Emily and their dog Theodore. It is time to play ball except something important is missing from the field. The home plate and bases! Never fear, our trio of detectives is there to solve the mystery!

A delightful read! A boy with his pet rat that he is training to become a spy. We enjoyed partaking on the adventure with Timmy, his grandmother, and Hildegarde. It was a quirky good time that me and my children enjoyed reading together. There were lots of laughs throughout the story. It is good to be able to continue enjoying the imagination of Lois Wickstrom in chapter book format. She is a favorite author of my family.

This was my first read by Maria Jane and I cannot wait to dive into another of her books. This story is of the trope of coworkers enemies to lovers. One of my favorite romance tropes and she did a good job with it. This one being more on the slow burn side. The characters were well written and sucked you into the story. Even the side characters are likable. You know it is a good read when you want to reach into the pages and shake the characters at times.

First the cover caught my eye then the synopsis piqued my interest. By the end of the first chapter I was fully hooked. I could not put the book down. It started as just one more chapter before bed and ended with finishing the book a few hours past when I should have been asleep. There is adventure, rivals, academy setting, and a unique cast of characters. Bonus, enemies to rivals trope. 

I am definitely a fan of this series and cannot wait to get lost in the next book in the series.

Another cute story following Nessie, Craig, and Linda. The siblings are at a concert, but this event is causing problems for Nessie in her grotto. It was an enjoyable adventure story perfect for bedtime with my tiny humans. Having read the first book previously for a bedtime story the kids were excited to continue with these characters. 

I highly recommend this as a bedtime story for younger children. My family looks forward to reading more books by this author.

A cute little story about a boy wanting to find the legendary Loch Ness and his little sister getting in the way. That is until a blue stone that glows leads them directly to Nessie’s secret place. It is here that Craig has to make a tough choice. Could he risk his life to save the Loch Ness monster?

This story made for a good bedtime read for my tiny humans. We all enjoyed it! We cannot wait for the next story as another bedtime read. I would recommend this book.

An absolutely wonderful historical fantasy for young readers that can be enjoyed by older readers just as much. The writing captured my interest from page one and kept me hooked to the end. Elbert was relatable and easy to connect with. It was like you were along for the ride right next to him while he discovered a magic spark within him. His family connection during this time was heartwarming. This story had family, growth, loss, discovery, and many emotions. 

I highly recommend this book and author!

Another amazing continuation of the series with book 4! The old and new characters in the story bring to life the Academy. The writing sucks you into the story as if you were there watching and not reading it. I can’t wait to read the next book to continue this bookish adventure!

Back for another year with our main Grave Digger Makayla. This year, there is a new headmistress running the show. The education path for all students has changed from previous years and in a major way. The Crones are watching her closely. And once more, Makayla doesn’t know who she can trust. This year is shaping out to be another difficult road.

A captivating stand alone! I wasn’t sure what I was getting with this book. The cover caught my eye and the description piqued my interest. Definitely glad I picked it up! Easily devoured in a single setting. I could not put the book down. It had a mix of dark magic with terrifying beasts set in a dark fantasy world. Would Oden end the war or die first? A what cost will a father go to save his child? How far into the darkness to triumph for a brighter future? I look forward to reading more works by this author.
