If you are into paranormal this is a great book for you. There is a lot that goes on throughout the book. It hops around a bit in different time frames to give a full idea of what all has happened since the time of the prophecy to current. A good read if you are looking for a new series to start. If you love reading about witches, vampires, werewolves and prophecy’s this is your go to book. A great read especially during this Halloween season.

I did enjoy this story once I was able to get into it. It has all the elements I love, Romance, Suspense and paranormal romance. The author does do an amazing job with creating the characters, giving them past story’s and connecting them all in a way that makes this story interesting. However the way the author introduces the characters and we get bits if the story from each one and the story moves forward and back in time did make this story confusing at first but once I got the hang of the characters it was enjoyable.
Amber’s life gets turned upside down when she comes to realise she is part of a prophecy and part of a war that has been going on for years. She is about to get her eyes open to a world she wasn’t aware existed and her part in that uniting all these paranormal species will be an interesting story to read as Amber try to figure out what and who she is meant to be. I am looking forward to reading on and learning more about the prophecy.

Queen’s Destiny is the first installment in the Blood Prophecy series. It follows Amber, who is taking a new job at a Seattle Museum. Chloe, her ner coworker/witch. As well as vampires and wolves. This Paranormal Romance has it all; wolves, vampires, magic, prophecy, fights, etc. It can be easy to get a little lost with the consistent time jumps going back to add information to each character’s background and while I wasn’t the biggest fan of that, I still found this fun to read.

This is an interesting story that offers a well written story line and a myriad of great characters. The book jumps between times which adds a level of detail that wouldn’t be present otherwise. For me this made the story even better and made it much easier to get caught up in. I loved the mix of characters. Although there were a lot of them, they each added something to the story and were distinct on their own. I thought the combination of personalities and character development worked perfectly for this story. This was a great book and I am pleased to have discovered a new author.

Amber and Chloe become instant friends when the two end up working together at the same museum. When Chloe discovers that Amber is having a series of very strange dreams, she convinces her to let her help. Amber’s dreams become increasingly more vivid as time goes on and in many, she has visions of being told that she has a prophecy to fulfill. Unbeknownst to Amber, a vampire has waited hundreds of years for his beloved Queen to be reborn and the prophecy to finally be fulfilled.
This book was well written and sucks the reader in from the first few pages. The characters were well written, and each scene is so descriptive that the reader feels as though they are right there with each character in that time and place. I loved the multiple storylines that gave background information on each character and what events transpired up until present day. I highly recommend!

Amber Stone is starting a new job in Seattle, Wa. Amber finds a kinship with Chloe who she meets when she arrives for her job as curator of the Natural History Museum. What Amber doesn’t realize is that she is part of an ancient prophecy life as she knows it is about to implode and it will have strings to Chloe and several others.
There is a lot that goes on in this book. I thought it was very well written, hops around a bit in different time frames to give a full idea of what all has happened since the time of the prophecy to current. I thought this was quite different then what I ordinarily read and I enjoyed it. There is so much to this story that I did not delve into as it keeps you guessing.

Ummm… Can I say *mind blown*? Like where has this book been all of my life?! I absolutely love it! The characters are original as hell and just so quirky. I love the twists and turns of the story, and how the focus switches between the different characters. I love watching all of the dots connect too!! I need more haha..

Queen’s Destiny is an original paranormal romance story and an intriguing read. It is fast-paced with a lot going on and a lot to keep up with so it was slow going to read and keep up with it all. There are characters that you will like and those that will make you shiver just thinking about them.
It is the first book in the Blood Prophecy series and it has all the elements to make this a good story with prophecies, witches and vampires, werewolves and more. I will go on to read the next book as I want to see where the story may go.
Amber’s life is about to be turned upside down.
Overall, I did like the story however with so many characters I was feeling a bit at a loss. I felt that I was missing out and the story could have been a little more fleshed out in some instances and in others less so.
Just because I found it difficult to fully immerse myself in the story and at times hard to connect to the characters doesn’t mean you should not give it a go. I think this is one story that people will either like or want something more.

I enjoyed reading this book. This is a slightly different fantasy story for me but I enjoyed it from beginning to end. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed their attention to details that gave life to the story. A well written story that has connectable, strong characters that pull you into their story. I enjoyed watching their growth as well as the growth of the plot throughout the story. This is a fast paced story that kept me engaged. A great story that you don’t want to miss. I am glad I picked it up and so will you. I highly recommend this book.

Queen’s Destiny is the first book in the Blood Prophecy series by Barb Jones. This is my first foray into any of Ms. Jones work, so I really had no idea of what to expect going into the book. But the title, and blurb caught my attention- so I decided to take a chance and dive in. What I discovered is an original paranormal romance with vampires, werewolves, witches, prophecy, adventure, the supernatural, suspense, mystery, intrigue, action, conflict, agendas, tension, and drama- all wrapped around a battle for survival, and the powerful bloodline that brought about the whole prophecy in the first place. Amber Stone is about to have her world turned upside down- in a supernatural way. Little does she know that she has a part to play in an ancient prophecy and a battle for survival that has spanned the centuries. I really wanted to love this story far more than I did. I had a lot of trouble connecting with the characters- and therefore was left disappointed that I couldn’t invest in them and the outcome of their story the way I had hoped. There is a lot going on in the story, and it does get quite wordy at times, with a lot of information being laid out (info dumps), as well as there being a lot of characters to keep track of. I think all this caused the story to drag and lag in parts, and gave the whole thing a bit of a choppy, chewy, story… It is such an original concept that had the potential to be quite a stellar read as it holds a lot of promise, and I feel bad that it just didn’t quite work for me- but maybe it will for you. Happy Reading…

I found this to be a quite fascinating story. Chloe and Amanda meet through their positions at the Museum in Seattle. They are both part of a 3,000 year old prophecy. Through the story, we flash back and forth through time to see how this story develops and goes. It can be a little hard to follow at times but I am a big paranormal fan and loved all the creatures in it: vampires, werewolves… It’s an entertaining story that I enjoyed. I found the characters quite intriguing. The story did engage me from the start. It’s the beginning of the series and I do hope to see more. I want to see where this goes. I recommend it for paranormal lovers out there.

I was more than pulled in with this book, I could not get enough. The characters and the story, were mesmerizing all in their own way,. The more I read, the more I wanted to know more!
I loved this story. The author did a wonderful job of visualizing the story that the story resides in. I liked that this book really built the foundation for the next books to come. You got a good background, as well as the task eat hand, involving the Queen. The info was great, and very mystifying. I found the pace of reading was good, even if it wasn’t action upon suspense, the book drew you in and kept you interested.
Wonderful book. I very much enjoyed the author’s writing style. I could not get enough. I look forward to more in the series. I highly recommend this must read book. series. as well as the author!

Amber Stone, once a child prodigy, has just become curator of a special collection of Macedonian artifacts for the Seattle Museum of Natural History. Chloe, a prodigy of a different sort, holds a position at the museum focusing on tribal art. The two become fast friends, united by Amber’s unsettling dreams and Chloe’s unorthodox ways of dealing with them. Two strangers arrive in town, bringing with them a prophecy recorded more than three-thousand years ago, a prophecy that places Amber directly in the midst of a battle that has spanned a millennia.
