Beautiful Dangerous by Becky Flade is the first book in the Philly Heat Series. In this book, we follow Hannah Patel and Detective Doyle Murphy. After taking some time from his position as a police detective, Doyle Murphy becomes a bodyguard for Hannah Patel. Hannah is being stalked. As Hannah and Doyle get closer, it pushes her stalker close to the edge. I really enjoyed reading this story. There is a perfectly balanced romance and mystery. There are so many twists and turns that the story keeps you hooked. I found it hard to put this book down. The characters are very relatable and the plot is wonderfully written. I really enjoyed this story.

Another enjoyable and engaging romantic suspense story in this exciting series which I’ve enjoyed reading. This was a real page turner of a story, as Detective Doyle Murphy has to protect Public Defender Hannah Patel from an obsessed and terrifying stalker. Hannah’s brother was tragically murdered and for the following year she withdrew to the comfort of her family and career. However, as time passed she realised that the man who is obsessed with her is now a real threat. Meanwhile, Doyle was doubting his future in law enforcement following a fatal error, but being put in charge of protecting Hannah could be his redemption. However, they didn’t expect to find each other attractive and then their forced closeness results in their genuine feelings to develop. Their relationship seems to annoy the stalker though, making him even more dangerous and putting both their lives at risk. I was hooked from start to finish and the descriptive narrative brought both the characters and setting to life, making me feel immersed in the storyline. The plot twists kept me guessing as to the outcome of the story, and I felt invested in the likeable and relatable Hannah and Doyle’s relationship.

This was phenomenal! Absolutely nerve wracking but brilliant!
Hannah Patel , public defender, tragically lost her brother and she is so focused on her career and family but she also has an admirer aka a stalker and he’s getting bolder , she’s in danger and because she’s seen as the enemy her support is next to nothing but there are still some good guys out there and they come to her aid ….
Hannah enjoys rowing and it’s her release and I’ll be honest she makes it look rather tempting 😉I love her gentle heart and that volunteers at a shelter ❣️🐾and that’s how Oscar joins her family and bless his little canine heart he comes through when she needs it most ! Love you buddy 🥰🐾
Doyle is on a sabbatical after a rather harrowing case but when a friend calls in a favour he sees the real danger lurking ..,.
Things really get hairy at a stage and I’m so grateful Doyle is around and that he knows people that can help and just as it looks like everything is safe you get this eerie feeling and spot on some more hair raising action comes our way ! But all is well that ends well😉and there were some really “ oh my gosh “ moments for me where I thought this is it , she’s a goner and she’s braver than I would’ve been !

5 Star’s Beautiful Dangerous (Philly Heat Series Book 4) by Becky Flade
Beautiful Dangerous is the fourth book in the Philly Heat Series and is a wonderfully written Romance Suspense that will keep you turning pages until the end. It’s a very intriguing yet intense at the same time. I’ve read other books by this author but this one is definitely my favorite yet. There are twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. The characters are developed, there’s definitely chemistry and they bring the story to life. They’re raw yet relatable. These two have serious chemistry between but they both have pasts that seem to lurk. Hannah just wants her lurking stalker to be caught so she can go back to having a semi normal life. Doyle will do anything to protect her but that’s not a guarantee with the crazy stalker. This story will keep you hooked till the end. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

That’s exactly what happens though after a massive explosion unearths some old bones. Trudy Beasley is the Assistant Chief Medical Examiner in Philadelphia, and she intends to figure out this mystery. Her counterpart, Forensic anthropologist Benjamin Roberts, disagrees that there is a legal reason to try to figure out the truth. Being on the same side they of course work together closely during the investigation and their professional relationship turns into a romantic one. The secrets they have unearthed brings danger to their lives and could potentially spell the end of their newfound romance. Someone intended to have their secrets remain hidden with those bones even long after they were gone. Now though, they must stop the investigation at all costs. Will Benjamin and Trudy be able to stop the killer before they find another victim, or worse become a victim themselves? I am absolutely enjoying this author and her writing style. The characters all go so well together as well. Sure, they are in close proximity with their professions, but the relationships have all grown organically. Beautiful Dangerous is the fourth book in the Philly Heat series by Becky Flade. It is another tense and intriguing romantic suspense- with an unhinged stalker on the loose, danger, mystery, drama, intense developments, emotion, chemistry, sizzle, action, forced proximity, a quest for redemption, and more. As I have said before, this author certainly knows how to tell a gripping story and has once again crafted a tight, well-woven, and intriguing plot. I have devoured this series, excitedly pouncing on each new instalment as they release, and have loved them all- but have to say that I think this is my most favourite of the series, so far. The characters have been skilfully crafted into fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. They are not only relatable, but entirely realistic and believable- which made this story all the more convincing and engrossing. Philly Heat is a series of standalone books, where each instalment focuses on a different ‘couple’- but there are some interconnected characters/details which tie the whole series together. I recommend reading the previous books, too- because they are fantastic reads in their own rights. This is Hannah and Doyle’s turn, and I was pulled into their story right from the beginning, becoming fully invested in them and the outcome of their story. They are both damaged and bruised souls in their own way, and have been through so much already- but fate isn’t finished with them quite yet as they are thrust together while danger circles- sparks ignite and their simmering chemistry starts to boil over. But with an unhinged stalker in the mix, things take a complicated turn when Hannah and Doyle’s connection drives the stalker to dangerous new heights. What happens makes for a gripping read.. Looking forward to more in this series! Happy reading!

I could not put this one down!! Right off the bat, this one had me hooked. I love the characters and how they all come together to find the creep that has been stalking Hannah. So many elements go into this story and solving not only one crime, but several all at once.
There is a great balance of romance and mystery with this one. Not a dull moment throughout the entire book. I can’t wait to read more by this author as she weaves some engaging tales that will stay with you.

This book was so so good. The right amount of intimacy for the “scary” parts. the twist at the end, I sort of saw it coming but not happening the way that it did. I love the build-up of this story and the suspense. This wasn’t my typical genre but I am very glad that I chose it. The red hair and the olive skin. The family dynamic and the realism in the storyline. I found it predictable but not. Hanna is a bomb lawyer and has a fire to her that Doyle is attracted to but he is taking a leave for personal reasons from work but something brings them together. I loved this book and highly recommend it.

This is another brilliant addition to this intriguing series and I think it has to be my favourite in the series so far. The story is full of twists and turns and it utterly captivating. I felt like it was never a given as to which way it would all turn out, and that kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters have undeniable chemistry which draws you in all the more. Hannah and Doyle really made the book for me, adding that icing on the proverbial cake. They each seemed to have so much going on and yet came together convincingly. This is a well written and suspenseful book that is truly enjoyable.

I loved the intensity and suspense of this story. Right from the beginning, I was pulled in. I have never read a romantic suspense that started with such an intense scene as a direct punch to the face. The female protagonists are both strong women just trying to do the right thing. The male protagonist is just trying to help. I found the writing to be perfect for a romantic suspense. I love how the author has just the right words to give you the feel of a thriller/suspense. You just feel the edge to the story as you try to figure out the creep and root for the romance. I enjoyed the story and really recommend the story/series to romantic suspense lovers out there.

4.5 stars Beautiful Dangerous is another book in the intriguing series Philly Heat. There are twists and turns that you just do not see coming in this forced proximity tale. Becky has cleverly woven yet another engaging mystery full of thrills into a tale that is compelling and engrossing. With secrets, lies, threats, danger and a stalker, just to name a few, it’s so easy to get lost in and the pages keep on turning. Add in romance, drama, fear and suspense what more do you need. Becky’s narrative is told through different POV’s which I really enjoy in a story because we learn so much more about the characters this way. The characters are fully realised, complex and you can’t help but become invested in them and feel that you are in on the journey with them. Doyle is determined that nothing will happen to her but with her unstable stalker on the lose nothing is guaranteed. Hannah just wants her life back but with someone out there lurking in the shadows her life will never be the same again. The chemistry between Hannah and Doyle is undeniable and I really, really liked them. How far would you go to save the one you love?
Beautiful Dangerous is an entertaining romantic suspense novel, that I recommend you read if you love this genre.

In the year following her brother’s tragic murder, Public Defender Hannah Patel withdrew into the comfort of family and career. As time passed, the man obsessed with her became a terrifying threat.
A fatal error caused Detective Doyle Murphy to doubt his future in law enforcement, but protecting Hannah presents an opportunity for redemption. Neither expect their forced closeness to create genuine feelings.
As their burgeoning romance grows, it pushes her stalker over the edge.
A city girl, born and bred, Becky writes romantic thrillers set in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or at least has a character or two from the area. She wrote her first book in kindergarten and even then, her style leaned toward suspense. In addition to being a mother and grandmother, she works as a legal professional when she’s not writing, reading, baking, or dancing. And Becky’s proud to tell people she’s making her own dreams come true…one happily ever after at a time.

Trudy Beasley is a forensic medical examiner, her organized personality within her personal and professional life has made her an excellent result reporter for those families who seek the peace of knowing what happened to their loved ones. Brilliant at her work she is analytic during the examination of bodies, but once the physical work concludes her mind wanders about the pain and hardship the patient had endured before dying.
A terrible exposition in the city has Trudy and her team full of work, burned carcasses and bags of bones are delivered for her to examine but she doesn’t know how to identify bones so she calls the university asking for a consult with an expert in the matter.
Ben Roberts is a professor in forensic anthropology and a city case has his attention when bags of bones to identify are turned in from the scene of the accident. He is a scientist with an academic mind that seeks to understand the evidence and whatever it may tell him would be enough to draw up conclusions, and therefore information.
Clashing due to their differences Trudy and Ben are about to engage themselves in a mystery road that may guide them to understand each other better, but also in danger of being in the middle of something very unexpected and dangerous.

The third book in a row I have read straight through.
We are introduced properly to Gertrude ‘Trudy’ Beasley, the Assistant Chief Medical Examiner, who we have met briefly in the first two books as a friend to the leading ladies in their stories. Trudy is a force of nature herself, having been brought into the fold researching the child killer previously, she seems to be hooked and overly invested in the case brought to her when a gas explosion levels houses and not only does she need to do her best for the recently deceased but bones from multiple bodies (including that of a baby) are uncovered.
She brings in Forensic Anthropologist Ben Roberts to deal with the bones as this is outside her remit, although she suspects foul play. Another intriguing read! The author continues this series with another page-turning, romantic suspense. Though part of series, this could easily be read as a standalone.
I enjoyed the characters and both their individual development, as well as development of their relationship. This story was also unique in that the main characters are a medical examiner and an anthropologist, which made the story a bit quirky and different from other crime/suspense reads. The author has proven herself as a master of character development; her characters easily come through the pages of the story and feel relatable and real! Trudy and Ben make an intriguing team with palpable tension and attraction, though they often have differing views and opinions.
This story really had it all, but I just loved the characters (if you couldn’t tell). The mystery keeps you the reader engaged, as well as suspense and danger ever-present. Definitely recommend picking this one up (as well as the rest of the series).

This book is a great addition to the series and, for me, is all about the characters. I thought the connection between them was really strong and I could believe the relationship as it developed. The fight between them combined with the growing attraction was fascinating to see. This author is still relatively new to me but with each new book of hers I read the more I find I like her. The wroting is strong and the books are always interesting. This was a great story and I look forward to discovering more.

I want to start by saying my expectations were set very high for this book. I loved the first book in the Philly Heat series. I definitely was excited to continue the series. Lexi is a cop with survivor’s guilt. I would say that her introduction was very relatable. I think anyone who has survivor’s guilt is on a self-destructive path. The department is concerned about whether she is fit to continue her job position. They place a new partner with her, who is secretly examining if she can continue the job. Their first case as “partners” is to hunt down a child killer. As they work on this case, their chemistry is undeniable and as a reader this jumps of the page. One thing I’ve learned to expect from Becky Flade is well written characters who have a chemistry that just oozes off the page. This does not disappoint! I loved this story so very much.

Becky Flade is one of my favorite authors and the Philly Heat series is one that I absolutely love. This third installment in the series is just as wonderful as the first two. Once again, Becky delivers with wonderfully written characters and chemistry that jumps off of the pages. This time she includes several twists that I did not see coming. Trudy is a Medical Examiner who gives all into her work. However the other side of her is incredibly caring and feeling. After a major explosion, the clean up crews found way more than they bargained for. They find decades old bones which means that there is the potential that this can solve a cold case. Trudy is determined to find out who the bones belong to. She reaches out to an anthropologist named Ben. Ben and Trudy are such opposites, that it only makes sense that there would be chemistry between them. Becky makes this chemistry absolutely palpable to the reader. I loved this story! I definitely recommend reading this. Its a great easy to read book with amazing characters.

Yesterday’s Over (Philly Heat Series Book 3) by Becky Flade. This has been one of my favorite series I’ve read this year and this book was no different. I loved it. Its the story of Trudy is a hard working, strong lady who is the Medical Examiner for the City of Philadelphia. She always is diligent and caring about her victims and does the very best for the families. When the city is rocked with a huge explosion Trudy is called out to search for the bones and she ends up calling in back up. She finds Ben who is an anthropologist and he sets out to help Trudy identify these bones. While working together they don’t hit it off automatically but as time goes by they become closer. While they are searching for clues as to who set off this bomb they are getting threats from someone that doesn’t want them to find out who committed this crime. This causes Trudy and Ben to end up in a very dangerous situation. Will they be able to solve this case and survive as well? Will they end up with a realtionship out of this tragedy. Read this great book to find out!

Yesterday’s Over: Philly Heat Series by Becky Flade 4 out of 5 Stars Yesterday’s Over is the third book in the Philly Heat Series. This book follows Trudy Beasley, the Assistant Chief Medical Examiner for Philadelphia. Philly was hit with a massive explosion and bones were found under the rubble of row houses. Trudy Beasley, along with Forensic anthropologist Ben Roberts work together to try to find out what happened to their city and to the body. They clash, both professionally and romantically. They have to figure out how to work together to find out who is destroying both the city and people. This book is beautifully written. The push and pull between Ben and Trudy gives the reader something to hold onto yet allows for yearning. Lovers of mystery, romance and suspense will adore this book. 4 out of 5 stars.
This is the third book in the Philly Heat series. I really enjoyed this story. It is so much more than a romance which is what I loved about it. There is romance in it but it is also full or mystery, danger and intrigue as Ben and Trudy try to get to the bottom of the mysterious old bones that have turned up. Were they buried there by accident or is there a killer still on the loose.
I love the characters of Ben and Trudy. Trudy is a very strong character, she is determined to find the truth about the mysterious bones no matter the risk or what she has to do. Ben on the other hand is happy just examining the bones and isn’t too bothered about the origins of them. They work together on this case and their feelings begin to blossom but will Ben been reluctant to support Trudy in her quest for the truth and the fact that killer could still be out there Ben is also reluctant to allow Trudy to put herself in a position to get harmed. Will Trudy see this for the caring protective way it is meant or will she see it as Ben being non supportive and standing in her way. Can their new found romance survive this challenging and dangerous time.
I loved this story and the romance. The author does an amazing job of captivating the reader

Trudy and Ben are amazing. Through all they have to deal with since first discovering the skeletal remains, they forge this incredible bond, and truly get to know each other’s entire being. The trauma, the mystery, the heartache and the love you get to experience along with the characters is so pure, and it just feels so REAL.
This book had me on the edge of my seat, during the entire thing. I read it in one sitting and felt like I was IN the story with them. I loved every minute of it, and Trudy and Ben are forever one of my favourite scientist couples.

I couldn’t wait to read Trudy’s story she played such a big role in Lexi and Xavier’s story ❣️📕
Again , don’t let the cover fool you , yes you get romance but you also get soooooooo much more and I love this about her books !
Philadelphia is rocked by a massive explosion and when bones are discovered in the rubble the expertise of a medical examiner is needed and out girl Trudy is on the job …
Ben , a forensic anthropologist is also called to the scene and he and Trudy team up to find out the who , what and why if these bones . These two are chalk and cheese and they’re o very different but this is exactly what makes them brilliant both in and off the field ❣️😉
All my itches were scratched yet again 😂 there was romance , suspense, mystery , secrets , thrills and chills !

OMG! What a twist! What an ending. You will think you have this figured out before the end but you could be wrong. I know I was-ish.
Trudy is a hard working, caring ME for the county of Philadelphia. When a row house blows up due to a gas leak, old bones are discovered. Tudy wants to help bring closure to the families of the bones. Her journey leads her to anthropologist Ben. Ben is the opposite of Trudy in almost every way. Ben gets involved with Trudy to help her uncover who the bones are.
Someone out there doesn’t want the identity of the bones discovered. And they are willing to kill to keep their secret. When the danger for Trudy and Ben increases, so does the tension in their possible new relationship. Will they survive the case? Will their relationship?
You will stay glued to the pages as they go flying by to find out not only who the killer is but if Trudy and Ben survive. Love this series. Another great addition.
