The Music that Ties Us is a wonderful story. The author quickly brings us a slight romantic triangle. With characters that were well written and delivered throughout.
Cadence has a fiance and great memories of their time together. But things are different now. Lost is the man she once knew, laid back and fun. Now he’s suppressing who she is as well. Until one night things changed. Craving independence, what does Cadence get herself into in this story?
Damien doesn’t want to be held down. But he can’t keep his eye off of Cadence.
Does he give into temptation?
What will happen with the fiance? I had so many questions through it all. With the plot included.
Again I will reinterpret how this book, it’s the beginning of the end? How will Cadence get through her current predicament?
I look forward to finding more books by this author

Have you ever just chosen to read a book just by its cover? Well for me this is one of those times. It didn’t pan out as I hoped but that’s okay. In the Midst of Omens has a cover the lures a reader in. It’s just a matter if this is your type of story or not. In my case it wasn’t but that doesn’t mean it was bad. The author put together a well written story of a man drunk on power. A goddess wanting to bring him down. And another man who is waiting in the wings for his calling. Brought together in a bit of a triangle but what’s the saying two’s company 3’s a crowd.
Gilgamesh is drunk on power & ambition. Human to a fault though he possesses immortal powers that he inherited from his goddess mother. He needs an heir but 2 things stand in his way. They need immortal blood, that’s the law. As well as if he shows any of his children favoritism he may have sentenced them to death. Because the goddess Inanna would love nothing more than to destroy him. Why not through his children. She has plans for him.
So when wolf raised Enkidu has been called upon to help rein Gilgamesh in it brings on a whole nother wrath from Inanna, but it’s just what he needs.
What will be the end result?
How will Gilgamesh and Enkidu navigate the path they landed on together?
Premise for a wonderful story. If you like battle, revenge, god and goddess lore then this book is for you. I, on the other hand, am going to look into other books by this author because they tell stories rather well.

Salt Love is a cute story. Of two characters who fight to admit who they are and what they want. I really like the growth of the two main characters as they navigated their new life. I say that in a figurative sense. This author sucks the reader in with the fall of Kenna’s life.
Kenna has been placed on sabbatical after losing it when she didn’t get the promotion. A promotion that went to a woman who was also currently sleeping with her husband. On top of finding out her aunt passed away. A small trip to Florida to settle her aunt’s affairs finds herself in a situation she’s not sure how to handle. With a man she’s extremely attracted too and doesn’t want to be.
Dec leads a quiet life in the keys. Hiding away from a life he left behind. Befriending Maeve was easy. Having to handle the responsibilities after her death not so much. He was attracted to Kenna and he doesn’t like it. He’s not someone to be tied down.
He likes her but is scared to admit to himself..
She’s dealing with a divorce and sworn off men.
What will they do?
They have no choice to run the business together for a year, or she has to give up her inheritance.
The dynamic between them is sometimes swoon worthy. Who doesn’t wish for that kind of banter. Playful and fun.
That’s what made me love it!
Can’t wait to check out more books by this author in the future.

I love this series! And yes like the little author blurb at the beginning you can read Stout of My League as a standalone. It’s so much better in succession with the books before it! The author brings the reader the story of the youngest and only female Brooks sibling. A character that is determined and has a plan for her life. A character who is driven crazy by her older brothers’ caveman ways. A character who stumbled upon something she wasn’t looking for. A character the reader will learn to love now that she’s the star of the show.
Lynn has a plan set. She wants to become a sports medicine physical therapist. And getting a job at the Arrows stadium could lead to a potential foot in the door of her dream job. However nothing is ever easy and there are always bumps in the road. In this case in part 1 that bump is Joey. The gorgeous shortstop of the Arrows. Of course she doesn’t know it. She may want to get into a career dealing with professional athletes, yet she is not a fan of sports. So she doesn’t know of him and though she’s drawn to him his caveman ways sends him packing.
Joey spent the last year thinking about Lynn “his one that got away.” Completely forgetting he put a bird in an ear to give her a chance at her dream. Till he heard her. He hasn’t forgotten a thing and he wants a second chance. But how to go about it? That plus she’d kill him if she knew he pulled some strings on her behalf. Deciding to bide his time and wait for her to come to him. Never easy and always having obstacles he’s convinced he will wear her down. Just one problem: she’s worried about it impacting her dream.
Will she go back to Joey?
Will Lynn find out about Joey’s hand in her internship?
How will her brothers feel about this relationship?
So many questions and tons of answers. The Brooks family is on to love. They are tight knit, yet no nonsense people. I want there to be more but there’s only one sibling left and he’s been with the neighbor’s daughter for a long time. But you never know, maybe we could get that story too! So jump on in, unless this is a first then I direct you to the beginning. Happy Reading!!

Everyone fears something, right? What about one of the fears listed:
Autophobia-fear of abandonment
Katsaridaphobia-fear of cockroaches
Lepidopterophobia-fear or butterflies & flying insects
Paraskevidekatriaphobia – fear of Friday the 13th
Taphephobia – fear of being buried alive
Thanatophobia-fear of death
Ophidiophobia-fear of snakes
Trypanophobia-fear of needles
These are the fears The Book of Fears covers in its short stories. Could even be classified as a book of scary stories if you fall into one of these fears. Some of the phobias the author covers are common; we’ve all come into contact with someone who deals with it on a daily basis. Others not so much. There’s a lot of triggers potentially in this book, not just the fears themselves. And each story is specific to each fear. Some of the stories were better than others but overall the book wasn’t bad. The stories were just too short to break down each one without telling the whole thing. The phobias are written in order as they are introduced through the book. If I had to pick a favorite and a least favorite. My favorite was probably Taphephobia. Followed closely by Thanatophobia. My least favorite was definitely Trypanophobia. They lost me with the aliens in that one. Not really my thing. But again overall the author provided an interesting story with quite a bit of insight into phobias. Maybe there will be another one digging into more fears. It’s something that would interest me.

Double Delight is two shorter steamy romances rolled into one. The author brings us to a small town of what seems to be second chances at happiness. The four main characters for their own reasons are/aren’t looking for sex let alone romance but it finds them. The way the author navigates both stories keeps the reader wanting more.
Story 1: April is determined to lose her v-card. Everyone she knows seems to be getting married and in relationships. Her on the other hand is in a failed 3 year engagement. Her aunt’s medical emergency gave her an easy out. Out on the prowl April decides Will is her target. Who is a very willing target indeed. Will wants her more than just one night. Especially once he finds out her secret. He knows it should be special. However can he put himself in a place where he’s available for more?
Both have meddling exes. Will they make it as a couple?
Story 2: Monica is on the hunt. The hunt for a husband. Creating lists of potential suitors and weighing the pros and cons of those decisions is her strategy. After one failed marriage she wants to get it right this time. That is until Matt blows the whole thing out of the water. He’s not the marrying type. But she can’t keep her mind and thoughts off of him. As for Matt he’s never felt this way and is determined to prove her wrong. Tasked with planning a joint pre wedding shower/bachelor party that could be exactly what’s needed to keep them together. Will Matt prove Monica wrong?
There’s love, romance, and tons of passionate steam throughout this book. Both stories have the reader rooting for the characters to take the right path. Now will you?

A story about man’s rise out of rock bottom. Whiskey Throttle has a lot going on. The author gives you a story of a man’s struggle and how he loses everything. It’s the growth through the story though that makes it. Nothing short of a good book. I’ve read quite a few books by this author and she’s one of my favorites. An author that no matter what the story is, I will always dive in just from seeing the name.
I was skeptical at first when I read the prologue. About what I was actually getting myself into, but I push forward anyway. Heavy topics of abuse are the minor storyline behind Parker’s alcohol abuse. He thought he was doing what he needed to be a good partner and father, but when Megan left him it all fell apart. Her and Lindsey were the light in his life. And now that they are gone he is consumed by darkness. When he ends up with a DUI it’s the final straw that wakes him up. That rock bottom makes him realize he needs to change not only for himself, but if he has any hope of getting his family back.
What steps will Parker take to change?
Does he succeed and get Megan to come back to him?
I can relate to Parker in so many ways. As I’ve hit my own rock bottom, but under different circumstances. But the results are all the same as long as you make an effort to better yourself for you. This book can be one big trigger warning. So be mindful going into it. It’s definitely worth it, just don’t take the story lightly. As it’s one a lot of people can relate with but could also trigger their own ptsd as well.

Make Me Want to Love You is a sweet romance about a woman’s second chance at love. The author presents the reader with a wonderful story about a single mom who persevered through the disaster of her first marriage and is holding her head high. Be mindful that disaster though a minor subplot could very well be a trigger for someone. The two main characters are characters to love. With the female character experiencing growth throughout the story.
Shayna has been through the ringer. Now a divorced mother of two she unfortunately still has to deal with her ex-husband’s family while he’s in jail. Which doesn’t make her life easy. She just wants to stand on her own two feet and do what’s best for her kids. Never realizing Burke was right in front of her. Her best friend’s business partner, he finds a way to slowly make himself a positive presence in her life. As much as she enjoys it she’s scared. Scared to open up. Scared of being hurt again. But what’s life without a little risk? What will she decide to do?
Meanwhile Burke is a patient man. Especially when it’s something he really wants. He knows if he pushes too hard he could lose her. So he’s along for the ride. Knowing full well he could end up brokenhearted in the end.
But when her ex-family threatens her livelihood, how does she handle it? Does Shayna let Burke help?
So many questions and tons of answers. So many ideas that pop into one’s mind that keep you turning the page, just to see if you were on the right track.
Like I stated previously you will love these two. Their dynamic between each other and their supporting cast of characters. If you’re looking for sweet with some passion mixed in. This book is perfect!

I want to start by saying I love the author’s creativity for the book title. Toasted legit starts when a girl’s toaster burst into flames while making her morning toast. It actually makes me kind of laugh out loud. I didn’t pick it up at first but once I did I laughed. So anyway this is a sweet romance novel. But as we know, the story never just has an easy meet, fall in love, finally happily ever after. But I digress. The author wrote two brilliantly stubborn characters that I relate too. Each having their own personal issues but are drawn to one another. Yet as much as the chemistry tells them to be together they are apart. This story is about the growth between them. Learning there’s positives in taking risks vs playing it safe. But does it all work out in the end?
Meeting over a toaster fire in her kitchen, Libby instantly clicks with Zach. Which worries her. So she grasps onto him laughing at her reaction to the appliance catching fire and the ways it could happen to anyone. By doing so she’s hoping this pull she feels will diminish because this is negative behavior to her. She swore off relationships, and doesn’t have them. There’s no way this gorgeous firefighter will change that for her now. Or will he?
Zach is determined. Libby is beautiful with a wonderful personality. He wants her to be his, but doesn’t realize that will be no easy task. When he takes intimacy off the table unless she’s willing to try a relationship, they both are in for an extreme test of their restraint. A test of wits to make the other break is now the challenge between them. They are both so stubborn that they don’t want to let go of the paths they laid. Unfortunately Zach is faced with a difficult decision and having Libby in his corner may be just what he needs to get through it. Only one problem, is she willing?
I love this book and it’s the beginning of a new series I’m looking forward to reading more of!

Story of friendship. Yet a story of depression and sorrow. Five Tries to Get it Right seems to have it all. It pulls at the heartstrings, while reminding the reader tomorrow is never promised. The author writes about an eternal friendship between two women headed in different directions in their lives. One on a path of self discovery and one who feels she has nothing left to give. Ending up on a modified redo of all the places they traveled to together in their 20s. With hopes of recapturing a little bit of what they had back then.
Lydia was devastated when she found out Kate tried to end it all. After the loss of her husband and her daughter pushing her away Kate is all she has left. And she wants to help her. However Kate doesn’t want any help. She doesn’t want to move forward. She feels she accomplished everything she set out to do and it’s time to move on before a disease takes her anyway as it did her mother and grandmother before her.
Lydia comes up with an idea of an adventure. One with hopes of finding herself and who she truly wants to be. Two to show Kate that she has more purpose in the world. At Kate’s insistence that money isn’t an issue they decide to revisit the 5 places they went to in their 20s. Lydia hopes it’s the beginning of starting over, not realizing Kate’s only doing it for her.
What happens on their adventures?
Does Lydia discover who she is and what she wants?
What about Kate, does she discover there’s more to life?
These women are selfish & stubborn but one thing they do have in common is they love each other fiercely and only want what’s best for the other. It’s a story that reminds the reader of their close friends. For me, my best friend, we’ve gone on trips together and our lives are in different places which is sometimes difficult to understand. But we will always have each other. Like I said before this book reminds us that tomorrow is never promised. So don’t settle. Live your life to the fullest. And never forget to tell your loved ones, that you love them!

One Quarter Villain is different. It takes everything we know about fairy tales and makes them part of reality. I’ve read this author before so I figured I’d give this book a chance. Honestly I feel like I have a love/hate relationship with this novel. The idea of the story is great. It’s the characters that have me being pulled in different directions. The main female lead goes through life feeling like everything is black and white. Not accepting that things can be a little bit of both. If it weren’t for her best friend, I’m not sure I would’ve been able to push through.
Maddy lives a life where she can do no wrong. Has no sense of adventure and just falls in line with all the rules set forth around her. Which makes it hard to believe that Leo is her best friend. I relate to Leo in so many ways. But he at least lives life where it’s not as serious as it seems, and has a sense of adventure. He also has a sense of protectiveness over Maddy.
If it wasn’t for a birthday gift from her grams, Maddy would still be living the same life. However, all that has changed. She’s part villain, and those tasked with rounding up villains want her to prove otherwise. Unfortunately, Leo thinks the whole thing is crazy and a joke. It also gets him erased from life. Now despite being told otherwise Maddy intends on rebelling so she can get Leo back from the Villainous world of Skurk.
Is she capable of blurring the lines?
Will she save Leo?
What will her family think of her total 180?
She grows through the story and becomes more likable. However don’t let that deter you from checking this book out. I will give it a solid 4 stars because as previously stated the idea/concept is different and great. I hope you enjoy!

Unrequited Love is a cute supernatural romance. The author gives the reader a brief overview of the characters, though the development is a little rushed. Overall I thought it was a good story despite the minor forced scenarios.
Jordan, a “Cafe owner” gets annoyed that her ex-fiancé is bugging her every day and blaming her for it. Jordan isn’t quite human which leads to her sensitive things not always being cut and dry. When Cane approaches her with a proposition. He needs her to help with a ceremony, unfortunately for Jordan, it’s the woman that’s currently with her ex. Jordan has some reservations but ultimately accepts his request. Now can they keep it professional.
Jordan is beginning to realize that Cane is a good looking man. One she’s been silently pining for.
Will they be successful?
Will they acknowledge the elephant in the room?
Again this is a short story that leaves the reader wanting more for these characters as well as more throughout. I enjoyed the dynamic but I wanted more. I look forward to more by this author in the future.

I love that this is a spinoff of one of my favorite series. If you’re looking for a good suspenseful thriller, Under Jackson Bridge is great. It’s a great beginning to a new series. Any book I’ve read by this author series or not reads extremely well as a standalone novel. Trust me when I say if you haven’t read this author before, once you do you’ll want more.
Irena and Jack share a daughter and a group of friends despite being divorced. Though their marriage didn’t work they still remained good friends. A group of friends that were going to celebrate a mutual friend’s promotion on his boat. It was meant to be a great celebration and turned into a tragedy.
Jack was acting strangely yet was still there for his friends. He was in trouble and decided to do something about it. Yet he didn’t let anyone into what was going on. Though right before the accident happened he let his Irena know he owes someone a lot of money, a bad investment. Next thing they knew they were tossed overboard and Jack was gone. But is he really?
While Irena and her daughter enlist plenty of people to try and find Jack. They begin to unravel a dangerous second life Jack was living. Putting them in danger.
Will they find Jack alive?
Will Irena and Kelly be able to stay safe?
This author keeps you on the edge of your seat. Keeps the reader turning the page. And I personally can’t wait for more!

Finding Love was tragically beautiful. It’s the beauty of romance/healing born out of a tragedy. The author wrote a story that pulls at the heartstrings. About two characters who have lost people close to them they love. They just happen to be at different stages of the healing process. Yet through that process came love.
Loch hasn’t been the same since his sister died. Needing to get his life back on track his band manager contacts Hailey, a B&B owner, to give him some time away. Some time to find himself. Not only did he start to find himself again, but so much more.
Hailey didn’t know what to expect. What she knew was her high profile guest rented out her entire B&B for 4 weeks. An opportunity she couldn’t pass up. However, being around Loch she saw a lot of herself. The part of herself that suffered when she lost her parents and her best friend helped her pick up the pieces. So she vows to do the same thing for him.
What neither one of them expected was this connection pulling them together. With so many uncertainties because of their separate lives, how they could weather the storm. Was this forever? Or savor the moment while it lasts?
He doesn’t want to let go but is it plausible?
She knows he’s leaving yet giving him her heart, knowing it’s going to be shattered.
What will happen?
Do they survive the differences in their lives?
So many questions and all of which do get answered. However to find those answers you need to jump in head first. Take the ride the author takes the reader on. Enjoy it for all that it’s worth.
The happiness, sadness, love, laughter, all of it is worth it. I look forward to digging more into this series, I think you could too!

The Ghostly Diva is a fun paranormal romance. Bring us back to a world where a character communicates with those who have passed on. The key is having something belonging to that person who has passed on.
We are back into the vintage clothing scene with Justine leading the way. She’s been tasked to go out to the house of a client to see what they can donate to the local museum to showcase. The client is the grumpy son of a woman who left town for hollywood. She was never a big time actress but to a small town Liza’s small screen credits could be just what it needs.
Jackson never expected to meet a woman who was stirring something inside of him. He was meant to have her come out and get out of there. He has no plans of keeping her around. He wants to be around her but he also knows that it’s not in his best interest.
Will Jackson and Justine give into fate?
Will Liza have a strong influence on Justine leading her son in the right direction?
What happens when they uncover Liza’s secret?
Those questions and so many more come up as one navigates their story. The author wrote two brilliantly conflicting stubborn characters. That keeps the reader from putting the book down. I don’t know about you, but I can say I look forward to more stories from this author.

Welcome back to the world of commissario Scala’s world. Yes, The Boss of Centocelle is part of a series. However it can also be read as a standalone novel as well.
The author brings the reader to a dark world of drugs, assault, and murder. Sucking the reader in and having them fall in love with the main character. Getting the reader so invested, making you feel you’re solving the case with him.
Scala has a case falling into his lap. Being the head of his unit he needs to be careful on how he handles it. Unfortunately he has a tendency to get so invested it leads to him burning out. So he promises himself not this time.
What started out as a murder investigation of two cousins becomes so much more. As he continues to dig and talk to witnesses, he ends up falling into a dark world. Just as another murder lands in his lap, he never for once considers they aren’t connected. Late nights and working to the bone to try and solve the case leads to some interesting scenarios. Which usually happens when he has an investigation of this sort, however it makes him walk a dangerous line. A line he promised himself he wouldn’t cross.
Will Commissario Scala figure the case out before he burns out?
Is the answer closer than he thinks?
Just a few questions that came to mind while reading this story. I enjoy these books and this series. This one may not be my favorite of them all but still enjoyable. I look forward to potentially more in the future.

I love love love this series. I really thought it was going to end with book 5, The Strategist. So I can’t tell you how happy I am to find out there will be more! I’ve been hooked since book 1. These are books you could read as a standalone novel, but they work and flow so much better in succession. The Strategist is Arrow’s story. And being there were originally 5 friends creating the WaterFyre rising video there’s been more characters introduced to take the story further.
Arrow and Vivivan dance around one another. He wants her. She wants him but not enough to give him a chance. She’s been through some trauma’s in her life, which is why she keeps her heart closed off. However she’s on a mission to find her friend’s daughter who went missing 9 months ago. What she doesn’t realize is her mission is going to intersect Arrow and his friends’ journey to take down The Trogyn organization. Forcing them to work together. Working together works best when trust is involved. However with their rough childhoods one might not believe it’s possible.
Can they both let down their walls to trust one another?
Will Vivivan finally give into the feelings she has for Arrow?
Can two broken souls mend each other?
Just like all the other books in this series. There’s romance with a little action and adventure thrown in. Stubborn characters who care mightily for those in their circle. A group of friends do thick; they are hesitant about letting new members in. Yet they embrace everyone’s family as if it were their own.
I can’t wait for book 6. Till then I’m contemplating about starting the series over. It’s all worth it! If you haven’t started it, go back to book 1. And if you have what are you waiting for book 5 is out!!!

I love this series. It makes me so happy to have a kind of prequel to read. Healing Hearts is a wonderful book in the Echo Series. A series I never wanted to end. So I’m beyond thrilled to have more. I love what the author presents to the reader. Making the characters relatable. Yes it’s a book so events happen faster than typically in life, but that doesn’t take away from the characters.
When Gene witnessed an accident happen he didn’t hesitate to help and assess the situation. What he didn’t expect was to find a woman that was going to turn his life upside down. Trying to find himself and deciding if he wants to place roots or still flow in the wind. He kept reminding himself Amanda was a patient he can’t cross that line. Yet there was something about her that kept pulling him in.
Everyone around her thinks she’s crazy. Amanda is convinced she swerved out of the way of a teenager girl the night of her accident. However, nobody believes her. Even Gene aka Dr. Rowland doubted her. Which really bothered her. She was drawn to him. thought he was on her side. Her high school crush has now become her companion in trying to locate the girl that caused her accident. What they ended up stumbling upon was so unexpected.
Will they find the girl?
What will they do about the lust between them?
A book you will start reading and not want to put down. The beginning of a series that’s well worth the read. Yet a book that can be read alone. Healing Hearts reminds the reader that we are all human and sometimes listening to your gut is the best thing to do.

Mood Swings & Hockey Flings is a sports romance with some animosity and passion. A slight second chance. The author gives you two characters that had a wonderful “meet cute” yet quickly had a misunderstanding that changed things for them.
Banks has always been slightly troubled in his hockey career. Yet a chance meeting with a beautiful woman at the airport he was willing to change things about himself. What he didn’t expect was that woman to show up at his practice and she wasn’t who she seemed. Now that he’s older and has been dumped by another agent, this woman is his only hope of not only continuing his career but with his current team.
Yet can he trust her?
What about the attraction he has for her?
Kaitlin is out to prove herself. Prove that she doesn’t only know football by moving into the hockey world. A sports agent with a passion that’s being held back by her boss. Unfortunately she runs into one of the hockey players on a flight down to her new client. He seemed great but later proved himself otherwise. Now there’s everlasting animosity between them. Yet they travel in the same circles so are constantly crossing paths. Now he needs her more than he realizes. Not only that but gives them both a chance to stick it to her previous boss.
However, what happens when she truly gets to know them?
Can they keep things strictly professional or will feelings become an issue?
I already stated it’s a romance but nothing is ever cut and dry. These two characters have so much to give to anyone. However they both get in their own way. They are stubborn. Yet they both care deeply for those that mean something to them.
If that’s the type of book you’re looking for, it’s up to you to jump right in. I can guarantee it won’t be disappointing. Just trust me!

The Better Man was a wonderfully challenging story. The author lost me a few times early on but as I got further into it, it emerged and flowed well. It became a story that encouraged the reader to root for the two main characters. Both of which have had their own personal struggles yet persevered.
Laramee is a passionate force who is coming home after running away for reasons we all understand. The loss of someone close, a relationship born out of that which felt more obligation vs true love. Now she’s fighting to keep her family ranch. And between the animosity with her father and Jamie coming to give her father options she feels a sense of betrayal.
Jamie was tasked to get the spects on this ranch. One going into it will be a good thing for his family. He found out quickly that won’t be the case. He wants to help this family out, but despite her aggression he’s pulled to Laramee and her happiness more.
What will happen between them?
What about her past relationship?
Again you will be rooting for these two characters. They’ve been through so much you want them to be happy. As if they were your own family or friends.
It’s worth the read but started off slow to me. Trust me when I say push through because you will enjoy it.

Touched is an action, adventure, and forbidden romance all rolled into one story. Oh yeah, don’t forget the supernatural element. The author brings the reader into a world that’s complicated and mysterious. There’s the human world of New Orleans but the fantasy world of Laric. Introducing the reader to a slew of characters and different supernatural species to boot.
Aeris has a sense for adventure and exploring. She’s a fae who is constantly crossing the wards into the human world. An aspect about herself she does plan to change until she “zings” with her kindred. What she never expected was she would find her kindred in the human world. Now she will do anything and everything to make sure he’s safe, including leaving her family. Will it be enough?
Callum was going about his day as he normally would, till this beautiful woman ran into him he just can’t seem to let go. However he doesn’t realize talking to her makes him a crazy person to everyone outside of his conversation. Why? Because he’s the only one who can see her. And seeing her is exactly what happens. A deep connection he can’t explain. That is until he gets some sort of explanation. He finds out she’s a fae, finds out he’s not completely human but a Sylph, finds out there are Rougarou aka werewolves in the human world and they are out to drink his blood and kill him. Besides trying to run his everyday life as a detective that may very well be left to take the fall on a potentially botched operation. Not that his superiors know what really happened.
Will they escape the Rougarou?
Can he trust anyone he works with to tell them the truth about the Trahans?
Will the elders ever accept a Fae/Sylph bonding?
So many questions. So much going on. It can be confusing at first but if you can break down the different themes it gets interesting. It says book 1 so I look forward to future stories in this world.

Another Master is about to fall in Master Oradea. Lucas is now an enemy in this current underworld war. The vampires lead by Overmaster Descallia are now in Master Oradea’s territory looking for Lucas. The author brings us into a world I love so much. A world that shouldn’t be read as a standalone novel. These books should be read in succession. They all pick up where the previous book left off. The author has you falling in love with characters, feeling frustrated about them, happy, sad ect. This book is no different!
Master Oradea is now the lead in looking for the rogues and trying to put an end to the war amongst supernatural beings. When the sister of Benzini brothers not only catches his eye but because she was threatened he’s the only one who can keep her safe.
Can he resist her?
Will he be able to keep her safe?
Don’t underestimate Natalia, she’s definitely paying attention. Between her brothers deals within the syndicate. To a gorgeous master who graces the bar with his presence. That same master’s presence is the reason she was threatened. Why is he now the only one who can keep her safe from the rogues. Why that could end up being dangerous for her. He’s a vampire and she wants him.
Will she stick with the team?
Will she be able to help with what she was taught by her grandmother as a child?
These books are fast paced and connected. A fantastic story being told that I absolutely love! I’m sure you will too!

Finding Cheer was cute. The story itself was good. A tad slow at the beginning for me, but I still kept at it which made it worth it. The author brings the reader back to Emerald Hollow, to see another character get a whirlwind story.
Sofia was out fulfilling a New Years Eve tradition when she stumbled across an unconscious man. A man that would change her life. But not before her suspicions are raised. See the man knows his name but doesn’t remember anything else & he’s not injured. So what happened?
At first she feels the need to keep an eye on him.
And eventually feelings developed making for an interesting story.
Isaiah literally stumbles into the laps of those in Emerald Hollow. He knows his name but doesn’t know who he is. Hoping and trying to see if someone is looking for him. He adapts to life as he currently knows it. Helping out at Emerald House is the least he could do for Ash’s trouble. Sofia thought perks his interest and as much as he wants to know he better he knows she is skeptical of him.
Will she let him in?
This story is told from the point of view of Ash, Holly, Isaiah and mainly Sofia. But despite that it’s Isaiah and Sofia’s story. Holly and Ash as supporting characters this time around. Though I can’t say that Holly might have some influence on the story. But you will just have to read to confirm or deny it. Hope you enjoy!!

Texas Winds is a sweet romance. One I thoroughly enjoyed. The author presents are dark world emotionally for these characters that develops into something wonderful throughout the story. Of course no story is left without a little drama, which the author placed beautifully.
Two broken souls aimlessly going through the motions of life. Jake’s wife was leaving him but she never got the chance. However leaving a child behind that he questioned paternity is what he received. Jake being the standup guy realized the child doesn’t deserve what his late wife did to him so he’s raising her as if everything was fine between them. However he’s distant from his daughter, not that he realizes it. It takes Lexie blowing into his life to realize it.
Lexie was embarrassed and left at the altar by her fiancée. And in turn what she did, she threw herself into work. Doing a job that didn’t necessarily make her happy but fear that she would disappoint her dad if she went a different direction. Deciding to take a vacation isn’t something she does. So when it starts out a disaster why would she ever want to take one again.
Jake, Lexie, and Katie grow together throughout this story. But nothing is all sunshine and roses and the past threatens the growing bond between them.
Again it’s a sweet second chance at happiness and love story. Have I read stories like this before? Yeah, however this one hits differently. You feel empathy for the characters and what they’ve been through. Which isn’t that exactly what we are all looking for in a good book? I know I am.
So I encourage you to take a chance, you won’t be disappointed.

Hmm… I’ve read books by this author before but Perfect threw me for a loop. It wasn’t my favorite. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it. It had some really good scenarios split up into parts. However it was a little rushed and all over the place at times. Each part overlapped to an extent so there were times you were rereading something you already read.
I think it’s something I would have to go back and reread. I feel like I missed some of the concepts the author was trying to present. The general gist of the story was good, that I can’t deny. I was personally just confused at times.
Chloe is navigating her way through life and relationships. She’s had some sweet and genuine guys along the way, but it seems some toxic ones as well. She’s driven and very empathetic, which makes her very relatable. Her character being well written and strong is what I enjoyed about this book. She has the same fears and insecurities we all have in relationships. Some of the awkwardness we may have about meeting new people. A character you could easily imagine yourself in her shoes while reading the story. That creation of a character is what draws me to this author.
Though this book wasn’t my cup of tea there’s plenty of positive qualities about it. The biggest being what I previously mentioned. The main character was created and developed nicely. I look forward at trying to read this book again as well as other books by this author in the future.

I loved this book! I’ve read books from this author prior to this book and I’m going to say this one is my favorite. Why you might ask? Because the way the author wrote Before You Say I Do gave me the feels. And when books can give me the feels and make me feel like I’m part of the story it says a lot.
Now the characters aren’t easy to love because they are stubborn, independent, nonbelievers in love. Yet at the same time jealous, attentive, possessive and protective. Which leaves the reader in a conundrum. But trust me when I say it all works. I feel like I was friends with the lead female character.
Emma and Liam are people who don’t want relationships or commitments. However they crave each other physically. This story revolves around the ups and downs that their “friends with benefits” status takes them.
Liam wants his trust fund, but he can’t access it until he’s 35 or married whichever comes first. Being he’s started this friendship with Emma he feels she’s the perfect candidate to help him in his task. Two big problems: 1 will his family believe them? 2 They are both falling for the other and are too stubborn to admit it. Sacrificing their potential happiness together by sticking to the script.
Of course we know nothing is cut in dry and these stories and the exes don’t make it easy either.
Will they stick to the script?
How will the exes interference impact what they have?
Again it’s a story I loved, that had a lot to offer for fans of this genre. It’s worth it! Happy Reading!

The Winemakers Series is one boxset to get behind. The author brings you into a world of love, happiness, drama, loss, conflict, and so much more! 3 books that will keep you reading for hours that you won’t want to put down.
Pedro is my favorite character across the series. Being heavily featured in book 1 & 2. He’s a man who is misunderstood but will eventually get what he deserves in life. I would go into detail but I don’t want to give any spoilers going from book 1 to 2. Let’s just say, don’t judge a book by its cover when it comes to him.
These books come with a lot of lust and passion amongst the characters. Maybe not as steamy as some, however that’s not the only way to feature lust and passion. Every character has a story, it’s just a matter of which book it’s featured in. They all also come in and out in supporting roles when it’s not their story.
Can they be read as standalones, sure but is that any fun? Reading them straight through would be my suggestion. Just make sure you have time because as I stated before you won’t want to pit them down.

I’ve read every book in this series so far and I was beginning to wonder if the author was ever going to give Jake a redemption story. The Changed Man is finally that story. I felt for Jake in book 1 even though he was essentially one of the villains of the story. The author has introduced the reader into a wonderful world with many different characters. These books are a series best read in consecutive order. However they can be read as standalone novels too.
Dealing with the death of a friend(who now lives in his head) in front of his eyes Jake upends his life. Resigning from his job. Reuniting with his family, especially his twin Joe. Jake is trying to find himself, and he feels his writing is the best route to go. Having written a book featured on the NY Times bestseller list that’s also in talks to become a movie he feels this is the right way to go. Though he knows mom would never approve, hence his pen name.
Along the way he meets Chiara who happens to be the guardian of his brother’s son, and she’s married. Though he can’t keep his eyes off of her. He wants her despite the obstacles and things between them do get close and dicey.
He also has to deal with a habitual flirt when the actor who he wants to be the star in his movie shows up out of the blue.
Will Jake prove he’s a changed man?
What will happen between him and Chiara?
Will the impact of losing his friend be his downfall?
So many questions come up throughout this story. But again I will say I’m glad he finally got his story. And it’s probably my favorite book thus far.

Sugar & Spice was different. It was good but different from most romance novels I’ve read. The author gives you a fresh take on a story we’ve read before, well at least the romance part.
Forced to go undercover, Cy/Marcus starts his new job in the bakery of his family’s amusement park Sweetopia. There’s rumblings of employees gathering together to strike and boycott the park and his family wants to know who so they can be silenced. All Cy wants to do is travel and wants no parts of the family business. Unfortunately for him what he didn’t expect was 1 Jolie. And 2 what this undercover boss task does for him in the long run.
Jolie is a single mom with a terminally ill son who feels the Sweet family treats their employees unfairly and the benefits suck. She intends to do something about it. However when she meets Marcus he’s the curveball she didn’t expect. She had no intentions of having a man in her life. Her focus was her sons and getting fair compensation for her and her coworkers.
Will Jolie find out who Marcus really is?
Will the park employees follow through with their plans?
Does Cy stay loyal to his parents?
Lots of questions with many interesting answers and conclusions. It’s a promising start to a potential new series.

I loved this book! I’ve read other books in the North Fork Series but I feel Make Me Burn is my favorite. The author does what she always does and sucks you into a story and a book one can’t put down. This was really the beginning of a whole new cast of characters that I’m not sure will pop up again if the author continues the series. However, only time will tell.
Jinx is floating through life. She wants that great love but every time she thinks she’s found it something is missing. Yet she could never figure out why till now, when the reason has made eye contact with her. The one that got away yet the one she can’t have. Her brother’s ex-best friend Logan. He’s the one she always wanted and was devastated when he left. She knew there was a falling out but she knew Logan and something was missing in the story.
Logan never thought he’d see Jinx ever again. And now she’s more beautiful than ever. She spent Holidays and summers with her family during his college years, and he secretly couldn’t take his eyes off of her, she was just off limits. She was also the only one to ever understand who he truly was. Unfortunately she’s off limits. Warned off by Victor when he told him to “never come near his family and especially his sister again.”
Does she still want him the way he wants her?
Is he willing to risk everything including his heart for one night?
That and so much more happens in this story. Are they able to overcome the obstacles they face? Well Jinx is determined to make that so.
So jump on in, take a ride on the rollercoaster that is Logan and Jinx’s connection/relationship. You’ll want more. You’ll get upset with characters for decisions they made but will be happy with the outcome.
