Blood Laws (Immortal Curse #1)Blood Laws by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stas is a young women who had to watch the brutal, vile and gruesome murder of her parents when she was little. Stas has a secret that she has never told anyone about, she keeps it close to her chest, she just doesn’t know what it is. She is now living in New York City where she is about to graduate from college. Stas is content with her life, she lives with her best friend in the whole world Lizzie and is not one to do relationships. Stas turns up one morning to meet her friend but what she finds tears her up inside and turns her world upside down in more ways than one.

Issac is one of New York City’s most eligible bachelors. He is also one extremely very fine and very handsome man who just happens to be the CEO of a pharmaceutical company. But beyond that he is not human, he is immortal. After a fateful meeting, he is left mesmerised by one sassy and beautiful blonde. His favourite type of woman. A beautiful creature that has no idea what she is or what she is capable of. Issac offers Stas a proposition one she can’t say no to. With Issac by her side Stas is introduced to a world of supernatural beings, passion and a choice of a different life.

But who can she trust? When foes become friends and friends become foes Stats has to learn to trust one side but which side is that? Will Stas finally find the answer to all her questions? Will Stas find out just what she is? Will Issac find the one thing he didn’t know he was looking for? Will evil triumph over good? Can Issac love someone he is supposed to hate?

With lots of twists and turns this is a unique and complicated paranormal world that is fascinating and keeps you thoroughly engaged from start to finish. I enjoyed Isaac and Stas’ story and can not wait for the next book in the series. This is definitely a must read.
