Blood Mug: Red Farlow Mysteries: #4 by W.F. Ranew

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Ranew. The author knows how to keep you entertained from the beginning. Red Farlow Mysteries is an amazing series.

Red is up against another crime doer. This time it’s the chairman that’s dead. He injures himself once again. This time by falling off a building. Although he thinks he saw a young woman standing there. The quote I chose for Red is: “I remember that.
Two tanks eventually went up. You could see the smoke from Macon.”

Highly recommended for Crime lovers.

Blood Mug: Red Farlow Mysteries: #4 by W.F. Ranew. I like a book that pulls me in effortlessly and keeps me hooked from start to finish. And this book definitely delivered on that. The characters bring the words to life and the storyline had me on the edge of my seat more than once. It kept me guessing and I sometimes find that hard to find in books but this author did it and did it well. It’s a well written book and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking.
Four stars and highly recommended.

Blood Mug by W.F. Ranew is the fourth book in the Red Farlow Mysteries series. This can be read as a standalone but I think it would be best enjoyed in order. I started with this book in the series and am going back to the previous books to catch up. This book focused on a murder at an art center with a medieval knife as the weapon. Will PI Red Farlow solve the murder before the killer strikes again? I really enjoyed the character Red Farlow. He is a solid, hard-boiled detective who helps to drive the story. I like the pacing and storyline filled with twists and turns. I look forward to checking out more in this series and from this author in the future.

Another fab mystery in the series. A little meaty whodunnit to sink your teeth into. Honestly, these books are brilliant, I go into them not expecting all that much, just a by the numbers inspector stuff, and I always get my socks knocked off.
In this someone has got it in for potters, as Farlow finds one of them dead, a nice big medieval dagger sticking out their back. As always, expect lots of intrigue and twist and turns that will keep you guessing, and wondering if Farlow really will get to the bottom of all the messiness. A solid mystery that I thoroughly enjoyed, but then I have kind of come to expect that of Ranew, he always delivers.

Blood Mug
Red Farlow Mysteries
Book 4

☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Here you go! This is a full length Mystery. Be prepared to be intrigued, as you will not easily put this one down. This could be a standalone. I feel you should read the others in this series. Get familiar with how Red Farlow works. No spoilers in this review.

Red Farlow a private investigator, has brought himself into another Murder Mystery. As he goes to meet with the board member at Wickham Art in Atlanta. What he finds is not what he had thought would be waiting for his arrival. Now Red Farlow has to get some answers and find the murderer before another life is taken.

W. F. Ranew has quite the experience when it comes to this book of mystery. It is well written and will keep you turning the pages. His description of his characters and where they are. Makes you feel like you are right beside Red Farlow. I found myself looking around and jumping at every little noise. That is how I love a great mystery to go. The rollercoaster of the unknown, the twists and turns are gut wrenching, but so good. Well Done W. F. Ranew! Well Done!

I give Blood Mug: Red Farlow Mysteries: #4 by W.F. Ranew, 5 stars.

I have always enjoyed this series and was looking forward to Red’s next adventure. This book didn’t fail to disappoint. Adventure happens right away in the story and then for a little while gets slower. There is a good reason for this though — we are getting background and information on the players in this adventure. While it may seem like a lot, it fits in perfectly when you remember that Red is a private detective and used to be on the force. This is exactly how he goes about things.

Then there is the story itself. It is different from any I have read before and there are quite a few possible reasons for the murder and a whole slew of suspects. You are kept guessing until the end while Red travels back and forth trying get to the bottom of things.

As a modern private eye mystery, I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to those who enjoy this genre. In my opinion, you do not need to read the previous books first, but I do recommend it because they are all wonderful stories.

One of my favorite genres is crime/mystery, and this book delivers. This is the fourth book in the series. I highly recommend the first three books as well. W. F. Ranew is a mastermind whose plotline is engaging and the characters really have brought this book to life. There were several twists and turns that kept me turning the pages. His characters are fully developed and complex in nature. Pt. Farlow is back and has found more than he had bargained. He went to a meeting and the chairman was there but he had a knife stuck in his bag. He knew he needed to act fast to find out what happened. That is when it led to more than he had realized. Will Pt. Farlow solve these murders? What else did he find out what was happening? I highly recommend reading this book to see how Pt. Farlow investigation finishes.

Blood Mug by W.F. Ranew is the fourth book in the Red Farlow Mysteries Series. This boom can be read as a stand-alone although personally I think reading them in order is best to get a full understanding of the main character.
This a great addition to the series. The book is full of intrigue right from the start. It started off with a bang and the author kept the twists and turns coming. I was instantly curious about what was going on and who was responsible. It was great to get back into reading about Red. He is an interesting character and one I fine easy to fall back into with each new book I read.
As with the other books in the series this one was well written and developed just right from start to finish. The author has created a strong series that is always a pleasure to read more if. This is a book well worth reading and I am excited to see what else might come in the future.

Blood Mug: Red Farlow Mysteries: by W.F. Ranew is the fourth book in the series and Red is back to unravel the next mystery. I was intrigued to see how it would all play out in this installment of the murder mystery. WF keeps all the secrets close to his chest and slowly reveals them like peeling back an onion, one tantalising layer at a time but not until the very end. I suggest starting with the first book, so you get a feel for the MC and who he is.

3 ½ Stars

Blood Mug is the fourth book in the Red Farlow Mysteries series by W.F Ranew. This follows our MC, PI Red Farlow, as he unravels another intriguing mystery. All the books in this series centre around Red Farlow as he investigates various ‘cases’, each instalment can be read as a standalone- but having said that, I think knowing Red, and what has happened previously, would definitely enhance your reading experience of this book and series as a whole.
Again, this is an intriguing murder mystery, with a crime and investigation theme, a seasoned PI, drama, danger, intrigue, a little suspense, and more.
Red Farlow has n appointment with the head of the local Art Centre, but when he arrives Red discovers that he has been murdered. As he investigates, more murders occur- so Red will need to get to the bottom of it all before the body count gets any higher. What is the significance of the murder weapon/s- a medieval battle dagger? All will be revealed.
Again, this is a cleverly woven story full of intriguing and descriptive details. I wonder what Red will get up to in the next instalment.

Thank you, W.F Ranew!

Red Farlow is back with this fourth installment of the Red Farlow Mysteries, BLOOD MUG. This one was just as fast paced and action filled as the previous three. I particularly liked the mystery of this one and the way it unfolded so I’d have to say this one takes the first place of favorites so far for me. I do love this series so that is a hard one for me to say. WF Ranew once again has written the book in a way that I feel as if I am right there solving the crime scenes and puzzles with PI Farlow. I love when an author can transport me so that is always a positive for me when I pick up one of his books. I can’t wait to see what adventure and mystery we will find ourselves on next time!

Blood Mug by W.F. Ranew is the 4th book in the Red Farlow Mysteries series. These mysteries are wonderful to read because you really get to know P.I. Red Farlow through all the books. In this installment, Red is headed to Atlanta to meet with a chairman. When Red gets there, he finds that the chairman has been murdered – there is a dagger sticking out of his back. Through the investigation, Red finds more murder victims and starts working on figuring out the motive. It was really interesting to read about how Red shares about each victim and we get to know them.
This is a great series! It does help to read them from the beginning to learn about Red Farlow and the way he thinks. I sure hope there are more books coming!

I enjoyed this mystery. This is the fourth book in this series by this author which I enjoyed just as much as the previous books. This is a well developed story that brings action and mystery. I enjoyed how the characters brought the story to life on each page. Their twists and turns left me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next. I was pulled into the story by them and they kept the story engaging. PI Red Farlow is back in another mystery. What happens when he goes to a meeting only to find the chairman with a knife in the back? His investigation reveals more murders and a real estate scheme. Will he solve this mystery before it is too late? I enjoy PI Red’s character. He just adds to the enjoyment of the story. He made me feel as if I was right there in the story with him. I highly recommend this book.
