This is a really sweet story. My kids loved the almost repeated verses/words. The illustrations are beautiful and my kids enjoyed looking to see what they could find on each page. We have enjoyed all of the books we’ve written by this Author. My 3, 6 and 8 year olds enjoyed the story a lot.

Gadrella by Tricia Gardella – Review by Brittany Adams

GadrellaGadrella by Tricia Gardella
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story! I’m very stingy when giving books a 5 Star rating but I definitely feel like this children’s book deserves it! I first read this book on my own and immediately loved it. However, then I had to give it the true test. I had to read it to my 3, 6 and 8 year old children. Guess what! THEY ALSO LOVED IT! Gadrella is a world changer. She didn’t like it so she took charge of her own decisions and changed the narrative. We love a strong willed female role model in this house.

I highly recommend this book that helps teach children to be themselves.

Betrayal (Choosing Family Series) by Jennifer Raines – Review by Brittany Adams

Betrayal (Choosing Family Book 3)Betrayal by Jennifer Raines
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book kept me wanting more. I could have a little more spice but spice isn’t for everyone. Parts of the book were hard for me to follow but it turned around and I enjoyed it. Anna and Hunter both want to protect their hearts- what they don’t realize is they want the same thing! It was definitely a SLOW burn of a romance but once we got there is was good! This book really shows that secrets in any romantic relationship can do no good. Overall a good read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This title says it all! It indeed IS Cool to be kind.

I read this book to my 3, 6 & 8 year olds and it held their attention. My 8 & 6 year olds loved the illustrations and the story. We continued our discussion after reading the book about other ways we could be kind in our neighborhood. A great feel good book for kids.

Love and Fate (A Braebeach Rockstar Romance) by Loriana Cappello – Review by Brittany Adams

Love and Fate (Braebeach Rockstar #2)Love and Fate by Loriana Cappello
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Where do I even start with reviewing this book? A little bit of good girl, a little bit of rock and roll and a whole lot of twists! The main characters, Tommy and Angie are so likeable. I wasn’t sure there at the beginning how this story was going to turn out but I was pleasantly surprised. A tale of heartbreak, a slow burn, friends to lovers romance. I could not put this book down and read it in record time (for me!). If Rock and roll romance is your jam give this book a read!

Thank you Loriana Cappello for creating such a fun book to read! I loved it!

The Secret Aftermath (The Discoveries of Julia Xero Series) by Gloria Oliver – Review by Brittany Adams

The Secret Aftermath: An Urban Fantasy Thriller (The Discoveries of Julia Xero Book 2)The Secret Aftermath: An Urban Fantasy Thriller by Gloria Oliver
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I’m not so much a “Urban Fantasy Thriller” reader and found myself unable to put this book down. This is the second book of this series and I would call it a must read! I definitely need more of this story. Especially with how this book left me hanging off the edge of my seat. If you like reading about underground streets, Human vs Non-human, portals, appearance changes, “life energies” this book is for you!
