Brody by A.S. Roberts is Book one in the Default Distraction series. Brody and Amy each have their own issues to over come from their pasts. Brody wants the one thing he has never had someone who sees him for him. Being a member of Default Distraction have given him fame, women, everything he thought he wanted until a chance meeting with Amy. Then everything changes. Amy is more standoffish when it comes to trusting people, she’s been let down one to many times. Brody and Amy have an interesting relationship (if you would call it that) at the beginning. Can Brody convince Amy to give him, give them, a chance or will her past not allow her to see their possible future.

I have read a couple of books from this talented author but she continues to blow my mind. This is the first book to Default Distraction series and wow what a great start. I absolutely love rock star romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. I was hooked to this story right from the beginning. It only took me a day to devour this incredible book.
Brody Daniels had a very hard childhood but now he is the lead singer of a huge rock band. He has it all money, women, and fast cars but he feels like something is missing. Brody wants something real. He knows that all his fame can be taken away. Brody is out for a walk to clear his head and he comes across this cute shop. He can’t help but to go inside. Brody meets the beautiful Amy Harper. He is shocked at how he feels for her. Brody can’t get enough of Amy. They get to know each other and they quickly realize they might have found the one. Will Amy be able to be in the spotlight like Brody or will it be too much for this small town girl? Will Brody convince Amy to take a chance with him or will his past try to destroy it all?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, doubts, forgiveness, and love. You can’t help but to fall in love with these characters. Brody is a hot rockstar but deep down he wants the simple life. He loves what he does and he doesn’t take it for granted. The way he treats Amy will make your heart melt. Amy is a sweetheart. She loves her shop that she shares with her grandma but she wants something more. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. Brody was an amazing steamy romance. Amy and Brody both came from broken families and a messed up past. They each have their own methods in protecting themselves from heartache. When they meet though, the chemistry is unbelievable. I loved reading about each of their characters and history as the storyline progressed. Speaking of the storyline, I found it easy to follow and difficult to put down. It really seemed to flow from one scene to the next. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Brody by A.S. Roberts is the first book in the Default Distraction series. If you like all things music and rock and roll then this is definitely a book for you. Surely if you have everything anyone could dream of then you must be happy, right? Wrong. At least it is for Brody Daniels, lead singer of the chart topping US rock band Default Distraction. He is bored of the lifestyle, of the cars, the money, the women. But more than anything he is bored of the pretence. Of convincing everyone that he is happy all the time. He wants something more from his life. Something more than he can get from the music and the fame. Amy Harper on the other hand definitely has something more. She has more debt than he will ever have. She has more struggles with her business than he will ever have. And she has definitely had more than enough of it all. So what happens when the two of them meet? What happens when their worlds collide? Can they go back to their realities? Or can they push for something more, together? This book has everything you could possible want. Hot rock star? Check. Strong woman? Check. Of the charts chemistry? Double check! I absolutely loved Brody and Amy together. I felt their connection and their chemistry from the instant they met. I found myself being swept away by their attraction. And this book wasn’t all about the connection. The story was such a good one because it was so relatable – we have all at one point or another wanted something more than we had. Even if we should have been happy with what we had. The writing keeps pace with this story beautifully and really holds your attention. Anyone who wants to be swept away needs to buy this book immediately.

Who doesn’t love a good Rocker Book, and let me tell you, Default Distraction series. Brody is book one by A.S. Roberts and she does NOT disappoint AT ALL!
Default Distraction is the leading band in the US and they all can have anything and everything money can buy them. Brody who is the lead singer in the band loves his band and loves his lie but he is craving something so much more than just fame. He and his bandmates decide to remodel a hotel in a quaint village and one day while running, she sees a beautiful women and right away he feels drawn to her. Amy lives with her Nan and works in her shop. Brody comes into her shop one day and she notices that his accent is English, and when she finally she’s knows she has never seen someone as handsome as him or someone whose voice awakens something inside her. Amy has been hurt in the past and Brody has never wanted someone to see him for him as he does with Amy. Follow these two on a path that will not disappoint.
I highly recommend this book, there is never a dull moment and the sparks with Amy and Brody will leave you speechless. Roberts has given us a rocker romance like no other have read. Her words simply drag you into the story and don’t let you go. The other character introduced show me we are in store for even more amazing reads!!!! This is a five star read that everyone can just dive into!!

Brody is the first book in the Default Distraction series by A.S. Roberts. If this first book is anything to go by, then this series is going to be right up there with my favourites. This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I’m so glad I took the chance with this book. Heroine of the book is Amy Harper. Abandoned by her mother at the age of 10, Amy has been brought up by her Nan Vera. Now 33 and running her Nan’s failing shop, Amy just doesn’t let guys in. She has a huge wall built around her heart as she thinks everyone will eventually leave her. Brody Daniels is the singer of top rock band Default Distraction. Like Amy, his mother walked out when he was a child. The HOT rock star, with a body like sin has women falling at his feet and he most certainly does not do the relationship thing. Woman are for one thing only. So why does everything he’s ever stood for totally change just by one glance of Amy? Circumstances bring Amy and Brody together many times and the chemistry is sparking. Amy has no idea who he is (she thinks his name is Daniel) and Brody is ecstatic that Amy likes him as him, and not as Brody Daniels, singer of DD). Amy with her issues, keeps trying to run but Brody just won’t take no for an answer. As Amy finally gives into her feelings she finds out that Brody is not the guy she thought he was. Will Amy be able to forgive Brody for not being honest with her? I absolutely adored this book. Brody and Amy are both so flawed but so prefect for each other. This story was beautiful and entertaining, backed up with fantastic support characters, who I’m sure will be the subject of the remaining books in this series. Books that I can’t wait to read.

I love love love rockstar romances. Brody and Amy’s story was one to add to my list. I did not know what to expect when I went into this book. It was so much more that what I thought it would be. When I was reading I honesty wanted more. I felt very greedy.
Brody is now on my book boyfriend list! I also found Amy quite relatable and loveable. I mean I’m sure we have all been there with an endless amount of debt!
I honestly could not get enough of this book. Highly recommend to anyone. I am so glad this book exists!

Brody (Default Distraction Book 1) by A.S. Roberts is a beautiful romance story and one that will keep you thinking about the book long after you have put it down. This is the first story in the series and if the others are like this then sign me up but do it quickly as I hate waiting. A.S. has written a winner with her amazing characters and vibrant details that make the story pop off the page. It’s the little things that count and A.S. does it so well. The main characters just ooze that sex appeal, I mean who doesn’t love a Rockstar, one who you become their whole life. And let me tell you the romp between the sheets and anywhere else is sooooo sexy and steamy and boy, I will just step out for a ciggy to cool down. Trust me ladies you do not want to miss this one.

Brody by A. S. Roberts is a five star novel. This is the first installment of the Default Distraction series. Default Distraction is also the name of the band where Brody is the lead singer. He has it all, at least that’s how it seems on the outside. But all the money in the world can’t buy you happiness and contentment with your life. How is he supposed to keep on keeping on and pretending that life is great when he is miserable? He knows what will make him happy and he is out to secure that. When he meets Amy, randomly, he knows now that she is the one for him. Her life is upside down and she feels like nothing is going right. She knows this boy that she meets is not a good fit for her but something draws her to him anyway. Watching the two of them fight and work through hardships makes me believe anything is possible!

A.S. Roberts’ Brody is the first in the Default Distraction series. This contemporary romance was an excellent read and kick-off to the series. I loved Brody’s character and how he fits within different dynamics. He’s a box waiting to be opened and discovering all the wonderful treasures inside. Pair him with Amy, the options instantly turned limitless. There was humor, disappointment, compassion and many more emotionally aspects built into the pages of this story that made it perfectly heartwarming and a pleasure to read. Along the way, the author gives us glimpses of supporting characters and potential pairings for upcoming books within the series. This is absolutely one of those that I will be anxiously awaiting to read what’s next.
Brody by A.S. Roberts a five-star read that will distract you. This is the first book in the Default Distraction series and the rest of the band and books can’t come soon enough. The old adage money can’t buy you happiness has never been in a position where you only have 3 items bought in your shop all day and bills that need paying, but on the other hand even when you have more than you will ever need like a Rockstar who rules the world doesn’t mean you will be happy either. But when you have chemistry that blows your socks off, money is the last thing on your mind. I love of the little details in this story, the description of a blue pair of gloves, the rolling of pastry the simple things that make the story have a depth that will suck you in and a heat that will melt even the coldest of hearts. A.S. Roberts I didn’t think you could better the Fated series, but you surprised me, you even made me a happy lady with a great wedding that brought a tear to my eye.

Brody by A.S. Roberts was my first book by this author. This love at first sight rocker romance was a great read and boy did it have some steamy sex scenes; who loves a good dirty talking lead singer – THIS GIRL!
Brody first laid eyes on Amy at her Nan’s shop then after a few little accidents; he couldn’t stay away from her. Brody loved the fact that Amy didn’t know that he was a famous rock-star and wanted her to get to know the real Brody. And we all know that this decision is going to backfire on him at some point.
I hate to say this but I took me some time to get into this book at first, but by the end, I was so glued to my kindle. I am so looking forward to reading more from this series, I see some very interesting things about to happen.

This is a superb Rockstar romance that had me captivated right from the very first page. It’s full of passion, some suspense, drama, secrets, emotion, romance, chemistry, humour, and all the elements necessary to make this a riveting read. Amy Harper has had her fair share of heartache, it has left her wary of getting close to anyone, because then she couldn’t be hurt when she was cast aside in the end. She has her beloved grandmother, a few close friends, and the little shop she holds so dear. The business is struggling to keep afloat, but Amy really hopes to somehow find a way to turn things around. In her small community in rural England, everyone knows everyone, so she is surprised when a sexy stranger finds his way into her shop. She’s intrigued by him and can’t seem to get him off her mind, long after he’s gone. With Christmas just around the corner, and her shop closing for the holidays, her cousin persuades her to help out at the opening of the newly renovated Manor, an historic old estate that has been converted into a luxury hotel. So, in the hope of earning some much-needed funds, Amy agrees. Fate seems to keep placing her in situations where she runs into her mystery man, more often than not it’s being rescued by him. Things heat up between them, and they soon find themselves unable to resist the intense chemistry that surges between them. Amy proves to be a little skittish, but he won’t let her push him away, he’s determined to prove to her that he’s worth taking a chance on. But will his secret be the thing that drives them apart? There is sooo much to love about this book, I really feel that I am not doing it the justice that it truly deserves. You really should read it for yourself and discover all the deliciously sexy details for yourself. Ms. Roberts writes so beautifully- she has a real talent for getting her story and characters to really connect with the reader, pulling them in and captivating them with her words. The energy and tension she is able to create in her stories, and between the characters, is truly masterful. I can’t imagine anyone reading her stories and not enjoying every word. The characters are really well written, full developed and wonderfully endearing. I loved everything about them. I also felt for them, my heart ached hearing their back stories and I wanted to give them both a massive hug. I loved meeting all the secondary characters as well, and watching some of the groundwork being laid out here for their own stories in the future. I can’t wait to read every intriguing detail!! This book has a great pace, there isn’t a dull moment to be found anywhere- it flows smoothly and is a joy to read. But be prepared for a book binge, as you won’t want to put it down! I read it in one session, staying up long past my bedtime just so I didn’t have to put it down before knowing what would happen. Bring on book two!
