Dark Bastard (Dark Sparrow Novel Book 5) by India Kells – Review by Brooke Blackwell

Dark Bastard (Dark Sparrow, #5)Dark Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

India Kells really hit home with this series. Sam Sarkhan is a man haunted by his demons. That pain shows in Kells’ writing. This series is very griping and interesting. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I’d definitely recommend it to a friend.

Azrael by Matthew Huntley – Review by Brooke Blackwell

AzraelAzrael by Matthew Huntley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Azrael by Matthew Huntley was a page turner from the start. I was immediately hooked. This book is a wonderful thriller and I praise Huntley for it. Definitely one of the best thrillers I’ve read in a while. The characters are very raw and real. Levi Andrews lost everything with the Azrael case a decade ago and the possibility of a copycat or Azrael returning brings back deep emotions, and I felt his pain. I’d highly recommend this book for anyone interested in reading thrillers, rather they’re new to them or a long time fan of them.

I am a huge fan of supernatural books, and am so glad I found this series. I absolutely loved the first three books and was very excited to read the fourth. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and series. A.J. Renee does a great job at storytelling and really captivates her audience. The characters are also very relatable. I loved Renee’s writing style and her word choices. Cursed Touch was a very easy read and a wonderful story. Renee most definitely deserves 5 stars on this book and series!
