Dark Moon Secrets (The Witch Moon Series Book 1) by Lilliana Rose – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

Dark Moon Secrets (Witch Moon #1)Dark Moon Secrets by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have been enjoying reading all of Lilliana Rose’s books and series. Her ways of bringing the character’s perspectives to view have me loving fantasy romance more than before.

Tanjie works at a bookshop and she does not know that she is a witch yet. She had trouble accepting the truth at first but then she met Alaric, I believe he is the Omega in the pack of wolf shifters. Who started attacking the witches because they had control over the wolves.

The reason 4 stars is that I am still a newbie in this genre and growing into loving wolf shifters and witches with vampires.

This was one of my favorite books because it was Cody, Jake’s dog joining in this crime thrilller saving the world from a cartel deal gone wrong. Cody has been trained to sniff out crime and help Jake find bad people before more harm comes their way.

Vigilante Assassin (Jake Wolfe, #2)Vigilante Assassin by Mark Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mark Nolan the author of Jake Wolfe Series is catchy to read. Book 2 of this thriller series, I was hooked! I love all the twists and turns in these mystery books. So far, I am enjoying all the books that I read on Mark Nolan. I have read this month all 7 series and I can’t believe how Mark put all the stories together knowing that you can read them individually.

In this story, we have a wife Lauren Stephens with her family, who thought she had it all but in all rich families there must be a deep secret. She needed help from Jake Wolfe to find out where her husband went missing and why. Can Jake Wolfe and his dog Cody continue to help others in need, or will this be the end? I have to say nope because there is more to these series.

If you love a mixed roller coast this book is for you. There are a lot of falls and high that will leave you in your seats. Wait until you read the next book after book 2.

Cruel Love (Hidden Valley Elite Book 6) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

Cruel Love: A College Sports Romance (Hidden Valley Elite #6)Cruel Love: A College Sports Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Isla Vaughn keeps me tied to her stories of Aspen and Phoneix. Those two in the story suffer so much but how much will love and secrets can be handled? In this part of the story, Aspen loses the memory of Phoneix and their baby. But Phoneix loves the man that Aspen has become but when the memories come back to the top how much love does Aspen have to forgive the past and move forward? I can’t believe how much I love those two together but really who is in steak them or the baby? You just have to find out. I fall in love with her books and I know people will too.
Before reading this book I recommend you start from the beginning of the Hidden Valley Elite series.

The stories are so amazing that I have all of her collection in my wishlist as the physical books. I am hoping to have them all.

Heart’s Rescue (Fallen Hearts) by Meredith Hart – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

Heart's Rescue (Fallen Hearts)Heart’s Rescue by Meredith Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The author did an amazing job building a world with fantasy and characters where you can connect with them. When I got this book I thought about the Thorne of Glass with so much action and compassion. This book has so much vividness in it.

The main character Arryn is wow… Love how she makes the decisions and how Rowan is brave and knows what he is doing. Most heroes stumble and don’t know what to do.
Since there is a little spicy scene but there is a whole lot of action in this story that makes it amazing.
The connection between Arryn and Rowan was amazing and how their magic works in different ways.

Love this book…

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Marina Hanna did an amazing job with Ethan and Olivia. These two main characters were so much to handle with their loops of lies and secrets. On top of that their connection of love they had.

Hanna made sure I was stuck to my seat and wanted to know if both characters would give in to their love and if they could move forward with all they had in the past.

Cruel Start (Hidden Valley Elite) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

Cruel Start (Hidden Valley Elite #4.5)Cruel Start by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So, after reading both books in this series Cruel, I learned how it is hard to be a teenager in high school and all you want to do is be free. But Isla Vaughn made The High School into a spicy novella that I love so much how each character goes through a lot to be part of something but then falls in love with their enemies.
In these two books, Cruel Start and Hate these two main characters make a huge change in their lives just to have others off their backs. Starting with a girl Phoenix who puts her past behind her and carries on with her pregnancy to find out that she sees her past in front of her. While Aspen a football player has to make a hard choice in life just for his teams to lay off of him. Crazy moments for both of them.

Ever since I read the first book from Isla Vaughn, I fell in love with her series.
Each series has a different story and each character has a life struggle that leads to love or enemies. In this story, they have to fake their relationship just because both sides have people who keep on insisting that they be together.
But in the end was a crazy moment for both of them. They end up liking each other and things don’t become any better for them.
The Hidden Valley Series is a must to read. I have a series of books on my wishlist. I love all the books.

Dead Sound (Things Unseen, #1)Dead Sound by Anise Eden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book had me guessing all the way around. Love the characters that Anise Eden builds in her stories. Her form of writing leaves you speechless and on your toes. When she brings in Neve as the victim in her own job as a therapist she needs to overcome that fear with the help of Doctor O’Brien.

Anise Eden brings the viewpoint of how the world can be and how people see the world as dark and evil lurking around. When she puts a Doctor and therapist in this world the viewpoint of history that lies beneath each patient especially when one of their patients went into a coma in a bizarre way they have to see what lies in his history back home.

Conversations with the Tarot by Maria DeBlassie – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

Conversations with the Tarot: Bewitching Meditations on Reading the CardsConversations with the Tarot: Bewitching Meditations on Reading the Cards by Maria DeBlassie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The author Maria DeBlassie has an amazing perspective with her Tarot cards that lead to her connection with a magical energy that most are not aware of.
Her words spoke to me but I could not connect to her emotions when she wrote about her passion and ways in her poems. For the fact that I am open-minded about a lot of things but for me, this is out of my reach due to I stay away from things that don’t belong to God.
The author has a lot of emotions in her love to have a relationship with her Tarot cards with all respect. Those who like to have a connection with Tarot cards especially my daughter will love this book because she is learning and interested to speak to her cards.

As Though You Were Mine by J. Marie Rundquist – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

As Though You Were MineAs Though You Were Mine by J. Marie Rundquist
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, never thought that I would like this book but the theme and the story captured my heart. The author did an amazing job with the character Julie.

At first, I was sobbing in tears when her brother and sister-in-law were in the accident and now she was being responsible for her niece and nephews. Who knew that she had to be responsible for her own blood and be a full parent to her brother’s kids?
What got me upset was Grant the brother and uncle of the twins. At first, I was like what does he want but then I realized that he was also the donor for his brother. Like, keep it in the family. Julie kept on doing what she had to do for her family and making sure that Grant did not get in the way.
I was sobbing when there were sad parts of Julie’s life because she was clueless about how to take care of her brothers’ kids. Love it…

Shawdow Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 1) by Lilliana Rose – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

Shadow Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 1)Shadow Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lilliana Rose amazing author who brought naive girl Tamaska into doing her own thing in life and getting into trouble with both vampires and wolves.
I love the fact that Kodiak knows what is going on with the vampires but does not know why they want a human Tamaska but his bond to Tamaska is deep that he was willing to disobey his pack for a love for a human.
See Tamaska, I did not like it so much because at first, I wanted to slap her crazy. She is the type of human that wants to do everything on her own by seeking the supernatural, she knew what was going on but was denied help from Kodiak but the bond is stronger than hers.
I love the characters and the world that Lilliana Rose made for it. An amazing book can’t wait for the Second book.

Marked Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 2) by Lilliana Rose – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

Marked Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 2)Marked Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In the 1st book, Tamaska was naive about the situation that she was in with the vampires and Kodiak was risking the pack for Tamaska. Their lives are at risk because the Blood Opal is still stolen and they are letting feelings get in the way to go after who took the Blood Opal.
Now the second Tamaska is avoiding Kodiak because she felt cheated on or lied to, but Kodiak had to. Still here in this second book, she tries to do everything on her own and go after the vampires who stole the Blood Opal but thinks that her life can go back to not knowing about Vampires and Wolves.
Kodiak breaks my heart in this part because of my heart. He chose her over his pack now he is alone and that is killing him. But the protection is important to him but he does not want to break the pack of honor.

Fortune’s Favorite (Soulbound Journeys Book 2) by C. L. Schneider – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

Fortune's Favorite (Soulbound Journeys #2)Fortune’s Favorite by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book of C.L Schneider that I love her stories. She takes you to places that keep you attached to the scene and the character. Every part of the book talks about the place and how that character feels. Well in my point of view. And the covers are amazing as well so many details that leave you speechless.

Now in this book, we are at the place of Maldarehm which might seem beautiful but there is many traps or secrets that I was not aware of them at first. Since the first book Ian escaped the Wandering Isles, he wanted to go ashore.
See what I did not know is that there is another character Kane who ran into Ian and both got surprised at this Maldarehm. Where there were magic and rituals that caused to be risks in their lives.

This book is amazing because in each chapter there were different plots and scenes that kept me going.

Cruel KingCruel King by K.M. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am new to this whole enemies-to-lover genre but this one became a good one because Ava and Matthies want to hate each but destiny will always find a way. One thing that I did not like about this book is that Matthies took long enough to realize that he wants Ava but he can’t come to his sense. Ava on the other hand hides it and tries to at least move forward. But overall the author did an amazing job with Ava and Matthies, showing who they are.

Keira amazing girl who wants life to be easy and peaceful had no idea that she was being stalked all this time but with all the creepy messages and how she felt off edge she got to call out for help.

Leaving No Traces (A Commissario Scala Mystery in Rome) by P.J. Mann – Review by Charlene Gonzalez

I wish I could have read the 1st book to really get into the mystery but reading this I want to go back to the 1st book and read the other books of P.J Mann. This was amazing loving how each page was something to think about.
Detective Maurizio took me to every part of the crime to see who really was it, I was living on the edge and wondering how but why. This story was amazing… The part that was crazy was that either he finds out who did it or the mafia finds him. It was a page-turner for me. Love it!!!

Honestly, I love this book because how Vic’s life was a roller coaster of chaos and so much abuse but she continues to keep on going. This would be my first time having hard trouble coping with this story because it is horrible that a person goes through so much to find happiness but love will have it last and sometimes you have to go through a lot to see who you are. Logan will do anything for Vic even face the hate from the stepfather and face a lot to get to her.
The author did an amazing job with this story and the characters are incredible.

4 out of 5 stars for the reason I gave it a four it was not because I did not like the book but it has some true life decisions when it comes to having a child. This book is an amazing true-life story when it comes to a teen girl and a child. Clarie had to decide to keep the baby or let it go so she can go back to normal but what is normal to Clarie? Life is not the same for Claire. The book got me to tears and I couldn’t let go of it. Well done to the author for bringing life into a story.

I was amazed at how many things Maria did and what she was thinking. I get that she wanted her mom to approve her but OMG a guy that she one time meet ends up in bed with her. Talk about music into her ears. Not only that she offered to pay for his band. Oh, she wants everything from him.
The author Tami Lund did an amazing job with Maria and Oz. I have to maybe go back to a book and read the other two as well to get a full story. But this story was like wow…
