A Safe Place (Philly Heat Series) by Becky Flade – Review by Christina Sanders

A Safe Place (Philly Heat series, #6)A Safe Place by Becky Flade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an interesting story from the get-go! It’s a story about a teen, her brother and dog, and a social worker. The teen witnesses a crime while living out on the street (while the brother was deployed when he became her legal guardian without notice). The social worker has to take on the teen to help and the story tells the story of how all three of them (and the dog) have to work together for their common goal(s). Such an emotional story with so many twists and turns and I didn’t see any of them coming but that kept this story so interesting! I really loved all three of the main characters and enjoyed reading this so much!

Masquerade (Choosing Family Series) by Jennifer Raines – Review by Christina Sanders

Masquerade (Choosing Family Book 1)Masquerade by Jennifer Raines
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book shows the layers to people, like prejudging others before you get to know them.

This story is about 2 sets of twins and them swapping being one another for a reason (you’ll have to read to learn more). It’s very detailed and realistic to how these people perceive one another and then they learn more about why that person comes off that way and how they actually are.

Love the 2 main characters and their whole journey throughout. Researcher/writer and a lawyer working together and learning about one another along the way. Both main characters had been betrayed by past lovers and this story shows their struggle to learn to trust and let someone in. And loved that it included a sneak peek into the second book which the main character will be one of the characters from this book (I always love that in a series). Great read and loved how the story all played out.

Betrayal (Choosing Family Series) by Jennifer Raines – Review by Christina Sanders

Betrayal (Choosing Family Book 3)Betrayal by Jennifer Raines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love seeing series that tell the stories of characters from the first book of the series that weren’t the main character then but are now. This book has one of the girls from the sets of twins (2 guy and 2 girls) from the first book telling her story of having something she wants to accomplish and finding out a way to make that happen. I love that it shares details of what’s current with the characters of the first book of the series as well. I absolutely loved the whole story and how it all played out from learning how each character had been betrayed by people they knew and how they learned to confront and move past it, and did they learn to trust and love another at the end? You’ll have to read this book to find out and get all the details of the whole story. I really liked Book 1 Masquerade but i absolutely loved Book 3 Betrayal (now I’ll just have to read Book 2 as well).

What a cool and original story. I really liked how fast paced this read was while also being super interesting. It’s a story about a vampire getting a second chance to live after being unjustly killed but while also have a time limit and rules to follow. You get all the details you need to understand the story and I wasn’t sure what was going to happen but read through it quickly to find out! Such a great paranormal romance quick read. Definitely enjoyed reading this!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is the first one that I’ve ever read that made me cry. Loved the whole story and the characters! Such an emotional and beautiful story and it’s now one of the top favorites of books I’ve ever read! Definitely going to check out more from this author. The story is about a rockstar & his bandmates & friends & family, some twists and turns throughout that you don’t see coming, and fate bringing people to where they were meant to be all along. Beautifully written and I enjoyed reading this! An emotional, inspiring, interesting read for me! 5/5 stars for me!

Miss Georgiana Darcy’s Quest For Love ~ A Pride And Prejudice Variation Novelette (Love Through The Ages Series) by TL Clark – Review by Christina Sanders

Miss Georgiana Darcy’s Quest For Love: A Pride And Prejudice Variation Novelette (Love Through The Ages; stand-alone historical books by TL Clark)Miss Georgiana Darcy’s Quest For Love: A Pride And Prejudice Variation Novelette by T.L. Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very good and quick read. The story is of Georgiana and meeting possible suitors and it is a look into thoughts one could have if ever in a similar situation of that era.

So interesting to read about the adventures these characters have as they get to all know one another and try to find a love match in the process.

The wording of the story and how people respond to one another are telling of the era and I found this to be a very lovely story. I enjoyed the Optional Epilogue at the end as well… very steamy and well written.

Driving into the Night by Amanda Kay – Review by Christina Sanders

Driving into the NightDriving into the Night by Amanda Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Really intriguing story. I loved how the story was told from the perspectives of both characters of their thoughts, feelings, and actions. It was a lot more the thoughts and feelings they had within their own minds, and it was a unique look into what they were thinking and then what they do after those thoughts and feelings emerged.
It was so exciting to me that I was able to read it within 2 days because I just wanted to know what was going to happen next!
The story is about a demon angel and a hunter with a ring telling him what it wanted. It follows the journey of both characters and the ring and their intertwined fates.
So intriguing and had me guessing what would happen the entire book and I very much enjoyed reading this.
