Will Everson has terminal cancer. He’s made peace with that. He’s had a number of rounds of chemo all which were unsuccessful. His last decision, a DNR. It gives him the power to choose what happens to him. Tori is a psychologist who works with terminally ill patients. She visits Will on an effort to Matt patients that have no visitors. After meeting Will, she really digs in to understand his decision for the DNR. She thinks Will should have hope that things will get better. Feelings develop between Will and Tori but there is a tough road ahead. What will happen in book two?
While I appreciate that Tori’s feelings for Will are why she encourages him to choose the feeding tube and other measures, I didn’t like that she kind of pushed him to change his mind. Love means you support their decisions. I did enjoy the characters though and the story is heart wrenching. It really pulls you in and makes you hope even when it seems like you shouldn’t. I can’t wait to see what book two has in store.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and wow she had me at the first chapter. I love a good romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of the embrace tomorrow duet. I could not put this book down until the end and it only took me a little over a day to devour this incredible story.
Tori loves her job as a psychologist. She helps terminally ill patients and their families to find peace. Tori learns about a young man who wants to die all alone and she wants to see it for herself. She meets Will, who is a very cute guy with the most beautiful green eyes she has ever seen. Tori starts to build a relationship with Will but she knows one day he will die. She wants him to fight so they can be together longer. Will Tori be enough for Will to fight for or will he give up on both of them?

“Come Back Tomorrow” written by Amy Argent, is Book 1 in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet. It is a tragic, heartbreaking story about psychologist, Tori, who befriends Will, a young terminal cancer patient who has been admitted to the hospital she works in. There is so much mystery surrounding Will. He does not have any family or friends that visit him, and seems to have given up on hoping for remission. Tori begins to visit him every day and he starts to open up to her. Their bond is absolutely beautiful, raw, and honest. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud with some of their witty and clever dialog! This is an amazing story of finding peace, hope, and love, even when you least expect it.

Will Everson is a 29 year old patient with terminal cancer. He refuses all visitors including his family and friends to make it easier on them. He knows he can’t fight the disease but has decided to pass on his own terms. DNR gives him the power to choose.
Tori is a clinical psychologist who works with terminally ill patients and doesn’t want them to give up hope. She wants to change Will’s mind about dying believing he should not give up hope. This starts their relationship.
As someone who has watched a few family members pass from cancer, this took me some time to get through. I can understand Tori resolved to try to bring hope but I can also understand how important DNR was to Will because I remember my Aunt chose the same and was kinda upset and surprised when she told me. But it was her choice and I had to respect it. Throughout the story, it just felt like Tori didn’t respect Will’s choice like she should have.
I feel this would have probably worked better if this was a friendship instead of a romance. With his timing coming to end, at least he would know he was loved and loved someone else. So I could see this story as working with either one.
Such a heartbreaking story with some sweet moments.

My heart! This story had my heart in its grip from the beginning! You will need your tissues and popcorn! It is such a good story. Having family in the hospital with cancer and seeing the others that are fighting the same battle with no one! It’s rough. This story of a psychologist that spends time with one of the patients and it changed both their lives! You never know what you truly mean to someone. I sure hope you keep reading! It’s such a good story! I have recommended this story to friends already.

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent. Wow y’all, this book tore me up! If you have read “The Fault in our Stars” and loved it this is right up your alley. Its the story of Will who is dying from a terminal cancer and he’s pretty much given up on life. Tori is a psychologist at the hospital so when her friend Jenny the nurse asks her to meet a patient who doesn’t get many visitor’s she automatically thinks of Will. Will is not really receptive and Tori is stumped because she’s never had a patient totally turn down a visitor. Will is just ready to die because this is not his first round with cancer and this time its super aggressive. Will is just tired and doesn’t want to fight anymore. The more Tori tries to break down his walls it finally works and they fall in love. This book will have you all in your feels and you will fall in love with Will and you will be rooting for him! In the short amount of time it took me to read Come Back Tomorrow, my mind and heart went through a whirlwind of emotions that few books have done in the past. From the first chapter of the book I knew this would be one that I would thoroughly enjoy, and I certainly wasn’t proven wrong!
Tori is a psychologist at the hospital where Will Everson is admitted to for treatment and over a few months she grows a strong connection with him, making each and every passing day harder for her to admit the truth about his situation. The reader will feel heartbreak, hope, and even shed a few tears as they read this amazing story that any fan of ‘Me Before You’ or ‘The Fault in our Stars’ will instantly be enamored with.
The end of the book was heartwrenching in all the right ways and ends on a cliffhanger that makes the reader eager to read the next book. I’m happy to report having found an incredible author in Amy Argent, and am excited to read the next book along with other ones she has written!

What a beautiful book! Will is in the hospital with terminal cancer and no visitors. Tori befriends him as she has done before with patients like him. Neither of them were prepared for what happened next. The journey they go on is so sadly beautiful and poignant. Everyone deserves to have someone there, especially when you are dying.

Where do I begin? This book is sooo good. I knew from the synopsis somewhere in this book I would cry and I did indeed cry with Tori in so many parts of this book. This book is a slow burn romance but it’s not too intense once the burn gets going. The cliffhanger at the end made my mouth drop. I am definitely reading book two.

It was was easy to become enthralled with Will and Tori. You are drawn into their story and the connection that they forge with such ease. I became so invested in them. This is the kind of book that leaves you thinking about it long after you have finished reading it. More than once I have found my mind wandering back to these characters, wondering how things are going to play out on book two. This is an amazing story and I cannot wait to read the next one.

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent. Sometimes you need a book that tears your heart open in all the right ways and that’s definitely what I got with this book. This incredible story captured a huge piece of my heart and I don’t think I’ll ever get it back. From the very beginning I knew I was in for an emotional read and I loved my time with the characters. Not all stories are sunshine and rainbows, sometimes an author comes in and shows an all to realistic side of life. This author did it beautifully and while I’m one who like the sunshine and rainbows sometimes you need the rain storms in a book also. I couldn’t put this book down and I can’t wait to read book two. Have some tissues near by and trust me this book is worth every tissue you may use. Four big stars and highly recommended.

There is no doubt when you read this book the emotional roller coaster it takes you on is bumpy, heartbreaking and sometimes hard to bear. But this story really gives you the feels that you want to cry so much to an uncontrollable sob to anger because we all know, Cancer Sucks. Tori is a psychologist at a local hospital and this is where she meets Will. When Tori’s nurse friend, Jenny, asks just to meet someone on her floor that this patient does not get any visitors of friends nor family. This man just needs a friend to visit and talk. This is the moment that Tori meets Will. Tori is taken back as she has befriended other patients before, but they were more older as Will is a young man of only 29. At first, Will just wants to die on his own terms, this is not his first battle with cancer and this time it is more aggressive. Tori would make a daily visit to Will just to talk and befriend him with no strings attached. As the days past and the more time that is spent together, Tori and Will fall in love but not without the true ups and downs when cancer is trying to win the battle. You also get to know Will before cancer and how he was growing up and demons he had to defeat. Believe me when I say this story is not easy at times, but it truly is a great story. Come Back Tomorrow was a truly memorable read! Right from the get go I was captivated and that didn’t let up until the very end. I knew going into this one that it would be emotional but I don’t think I was quite ready for just how emotional it was. I was quickly able to connect with the characters and I could easily picture everything playing out in my mind because this author wrote with so much detail, and in a book like this it’s certainly creates an impact!
This was an absolutely beautiful love story, one that I won’t soon forget!
If you’re looking for a good crying read look no further, this is the book for you!

Wow what can I say about this book. It is a beautiful story that is so powerful that you can’t put it down. The characters are so amazing written that you feel your a fly on the wall watching it unfold. This story isn’t a typical romance. It’s full of tears, and laughter, it shows the strength of two people to fight for love even when all the odds are stacked against them. It deals with the subject of terminal illness and the grief that causes for the people who care for that person really well. It’s a book I read with tears in my eyes, a smile on my face and hope in my heart.
Will is dying. Suffering from terminal cancer he has given up on fighting and just wants to die alone to save the people he cares about watching him suffer. With a DNR in place all he has to do is sit there and wait. That is until Tori comes through his door. Tori works at the hospital and has supported several patients towards the end of their lives but none like Will. At first Will doesn’t want to know, he keeps his guard up and works hard at pushing Tori away but as she proves she is there because she wants to be and because she cares their relationship grows. The sad part is this new found love has an expiration date and with Will’s DNR in place and his refusal of treatment their time could be short.
Can this chance of love give Will the hope he needs to keep fighting? Or will Tori have to leave to let go of the man she loves.

Come back tomorrow is a hook line and sinker type of book. It reels you in and doesn’t let go. It’s as if you can see every moment and day through Tori and Will’s eyes. The details of this book are beautiful. It is definitely a must have, must read and share with others type story.
Side Note-I thought this needed to be added for I seen it in another review. Personally dealing with my dad having cancer this book hits home. Note- I offer a content warning for those who may have lost loved ones to a terminal illness or who may be squeamish around medical details. The author presents a realistic, well-researched picture of day to day life with cancer.

Come Back Tomorrow is book one in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet by Amy Argent. I went in with an open mind when reading this new to me author. I can honestly say this book destroyed me. It gripped me so tragically that I was feeling all that the characters were going through. Come Back Tomorrow is a deeply emotional and devastating tale of compassion, connection, understanding, acceptance, determination, hopelessness, optimism, helplessness. It also depicted courage, incredible strength, endurance, love, passion, sadness, frustration and fierceness. It touches on the harrowing journey that is the battle of Will’s life. I have never read a more descriptive, and desolating story that just utterly broke me. I marvelled at the way the author set this up. The execution was meant for maximum impact an boy she did not miss the mark. I felt as if I was wrung out and put through a grinder. I was stripped raw emotionally and never has two characters left me totally spellbound and enamoured by their tragic circumstances. But in all that heartbreaking sadness, the frightening thoughts that any day could be the last, Will and his angel somehow managed to push through the adversity and the insurmountable odds stacked against them. The incredible inner strength that this woman had was impressive and totally selfless. The good times were so few and the bad times seem to go on endlessly. And I, the reader, was along for the ride. It literally hit high levels and then plummeted so fast that there was little hope that there would be a happy ending. In all honesty, this book is not for the fainthearted. It was one of the most difficult stories I have ever read. It left me totally depleted and unable to comprehend what just happened. It was one of the most harrowing stories imaginable, but one of the best written stories I have ever been honoured to read. As hard as it was, this story has left me with some of the most beautiful memories I have ever had from a story. I can say that it was a wildly touching story and one that I will never forget. These types of stories leave a lasting impression and not a lot of authors have the talent to pull it off. Amy Argent unveiled an unforgettable and courageous tale of a war unlike any other, and the lengths people go to survive, the lengths their loved ones will go to lessen the burden and provide unwavering love and support, and the relentless desire to conquer this devastating disease that robs the world of way too many. A compellingly moving story that will be hard to move on from. And the stunning conclusion awaits. What is in store for Will and his angel? I cannot wait to find out. 5 stars.

Where to start? It has been so long since I’ve been so captivated by a book. This is the story of Will and Tori, two unlikely people who find themselves drawn to each other in uncertain times. You find yourself captivated by this story and find yourself longing for it to continue long after you have finished. There is so much story left to tell and am so very excited to know that there is a book two. I’m haunted by this story, but haunted in a good way. There is so much I want to say about this book! This story of hope and love is a must read! Thank you, Amy Argent for bringing this story to all your readers.

One of the best fiction books I’ve read for 2021!!!! Powerful! Emotional! This book will take your breath away. The author has written a phenomenal book that sucks your breath away as you begin the story of Will and Tori. Will is a terminal cancer patient and Tori is a clinical Psychologist that befriends him yet it turns into love. No more from me because you MUST read this book. The story is written strong and powerful. It is so emotional. You get hit in the gut by the feelings they each have and are going through. The characters are feeling real feelings. I just went through cancer with my mother and these are real feelings. It is realistic down to the doctor being late. I was so into the story that I couldn’t put it down until this morning and I found myself crying over the ending. I can’t wait to read the sequel.

Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent is the first book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet and a great way to start off. OMG this one has all the feels. Grab some tissues, some wine, anything that is brings you comfort. From anger to happiness, to sadness and back again. Amy certainly put us through our paces right along with the characters. This is hauntingly beautiful and moving tale is a gut wrenching and will pull on your heart strings and you hope against hope. BUT Amy gives us a cliff hanger and now I have to wait, I am not sure if my emotions can take it.
It is a story of two courageous people who find love even in the tragic of circumstances. It’s about finding love when you least expect it and treasuring the littlest things. It is about finding hope even on your darkest days when all feels lost. It is about the joy of just being even if tomorrow never comes.

A true love story of a couple who fight all odds to be together. Tori is brave to try and help Will through one of the worst parts of his life. She could have taken him on as a patient but decided to just befriend him instead. Although I waited for the story to take a turn for the worse, what happens is unexpected. Never fully knowing what is happening on Will’s side of the story, he steals your heart just the same. Love is always something worth fighting for.

Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent is now in my Top 15. Honestly, if you love Grey’s Anatomy, The Fault In Our Stars, and Irreplaceable You (with a mix of Six Feet Apart), this is the book for you. Come Back Tomorrow follows the story of a hospital psychologist who makes it her mission to help terminal patients through the last parts of their life. With encouragement from her friend, Tori meets a terminally ill man, Will. At the end of every visit, she asks- “Can I come back tomorrow?” until one day it becomes: “Will you come back tomorrow?”
Come Back Tomorrow is a heart wrenching story, of love, of the honesty of terminal illness, and healing. Honestly, I cried my way through this- but with a twist ending, I’m absolutely DYING to read the next book and see where Will and Tori’s story goes.

I had a hard time putting this down. My heart broke the whole time watching their story unfold. It really emphasizes that hope and love are truly necessary when facing unfathomable obstacles. Their connection was palpable and it made me so sad the pain they endured. Will is a very lovable character and it saddens me that he is suffering so much at such a young age. This book reminds me of Lurlene McDaniels books I used to read as a kid. I cannot wait to read the second book and others by this author.

Come Back Tomorrow is a love story so full of angst that you will definitely need a box of tissues when you read it. Tori and Will are such phenomenal characters, they seem so realistic and relatable that it really makes your heart go out to them. Will wants to go through his issues alone, but will he let Tori be the friend he needs? Will Tori be able to handle all the complications and heartache that comes with Will’s disease? Even with a emotional as this book is, I found that I couldn’t put this page turner down.

What a rollercoaster of emotions, this book had me sobbing. Tori is a volunteer for terminally ill patients and when she meets Will who has terminal cancer, he is given up on life and has told the hospital not to resuscitate him if it comes to that. When Tori finds this out she really wants to change his mind, but is it too late? The more time they spend together talking the more they realise they have something special, can love overcome Wills illness. If you loved me before you then this is definitely the book for you.

enjoyed this romance story. This is the first book in this series which I enjoyed and look forward to seeing what is next in this series. This is a well written story about friendship and a willingness to fight for life. This is a fast paced story that kept me engaged to the end. The characters are connectable and bring out different emotions throughout the story. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning as well as how the characters brought the story to life. This is a story that is written with a lot of heart and will pull at your heartstrings. It is a journey from illness to a day when choices have to be made. I really enjoyed this story and the growth of the plot throughout. I highly recommend this book.

Ok so when I first read the blurb for this book, I knew I wanted to dive straight in because ‘Me Before You’ is one of my favourite books especially when I need a good cry so I thought I would give Come Back Tomorrow as its sounded similar in theme and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. I think the first thing I’ll say is I was glad it wasn’t the same as the book mentioned and it stands on his own as an amazing and emotional read. Tori and Will’s story was beautifully heart-breaking to read. I was right there with all of the emotions that each other characters was feeling and the author did a wonderful job of binging these emotions through so well. It was sad but not sad, I loved the bod that Tori and Will built and how she was able to help him work through his feelings but also, I loved how he was able to help her also. The author gave her writing such a realistic feel that it did feel like I was watching a film at times as I was reading – I was able to visualise everything so well. The descriptions of Will’s artwork especially came through. I can’t wait for the next instalment – I am prepared for it to be very emotional but I need more of Tori and Will (also Jenny too!!)

Emotional, impactful, poignant, impassioned! Author Amy Argent has managed to write a novel so full of feeling, spirit and intensity that it was literally impossible to put down. You will laugh, cry and scream and you will close the final page and sit in stunned disbelief that the end has come. The first thought I was able to think after reading this book was where is book two? Will and Tori’s relationship is full of pain, some anger, some anticipation, a lot of hope, a little faith and a great big healing dose of healing love. When Tori falls apart (being a professional in the medical field I have been in her shoes although admittedly not having deeper feelings for a patient) I literally fell apart too. I cried with her and felt a crack form in my heart for her. Sometimes even as a professional we can get so emotionally tied that’s patient’s plight sometimes feels like our own. In Tori’s case it affects her far deeper than that of a patient because she developed feelings for Will. Will’s struggle brought me back to my own struggles and his desire to give in and let himself stop fighting is so reminiscent of so many people I have worked with. A DNR is a hard thing for any person to accept, but for those of us who are doing our best to save lives it is that much harder to accept. The characters are so relatable, the words so full of elaborate details that you feel each sentence of this book!! I cannot wait for the next book and to find out if Will and Tori will get an HEA!

Come Back Tomorrow is the first book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet and debut novel by Amy Argent. This is a very angsty, heart-wrenching and emotional read, so I highly suggest having some tissues on hand while reading -as you are definitely going to need them. Be prepared to have your emotions toyed with while reading this story- Ms. Argent doesn’t hold back and gave my heart quite a workout. While this story is quite sad and emotionally taxing- it is also sweet, with an underlaying message of hope and about finding a reason to live- making for a memorable read. If highly angsty stories about facing death, mortality, medical issues, and terminal cancer cause you distress- then maybe this book isn’t for you. But, like I said, there is definitely more to this story, and Ms. Argent does a fantastic job of choreographing all the elements into a great read. This story is set to continue in the second book, and I can’t wait to find out how things turn out in the end!
