The Perfect Mrs. ClausThe Perfect Mrs. Claus by Barbara Matteson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read from this author and she has a new fan. I love Christmas books during this time of the year. This story had me hooked right from the beginning. I could not put this book down until the end. The story line is amazing and you can’t help but to fall in love with the characters. If this book doesn’t get you into the Christmas spirit I don’t know what will. I read this book in only a few hours. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

Savannah Bradley is a fifty three year widow and it gets harder every day. She feels like there is nothing left in her life. Zenni is a florist that wants to save her family history in a slave run plantation in her hometown of Everwood and Colton is the millionaire hell bent on tearing it down to build townhomes. Zenni wants the he plantation preserved to keep the history of Everwood County and her ancestors and Colton wants to develop the small town and erase that what Everwood plantation represents with its slave history. The story was a easy read but in my opinion didn’t give much character development and moved very quickly. If you are looking for a quick, fun and easy read the is good for that. If you want something with character and story line depth, this would not be it.

This was a great slow burn type of story to me. I was very entertained reading it. I found myself feeling all warm inside on some parts and others I was wide eyed. I loved the way the characters were normal and ordinary. They were well written and relatable. I highly recommend it.

So Close (Love Grows Series Book 4) by Renee Regent – Review by Beverly Finnie

So Close (Love Grows #4)So Close by Renee Regent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So I kind of read So Close by Renee Regent and the rest of the Love Grows Series in an unorthodox way. Not in order and all over the place! I encourage you to read all of them, however you don’t have to read them in order!
This story in particular is about Dahlia(who we meet in book #1), a woman who has worked hard to be where she is today, but also has been broken by her ex-husband Trey and her ex-bestfriend Levi. She cut Levi out of her life that is until she became general manager of Riverbank Lodge. Dahlia and Levi were tasked to spear-head a project, to reinvent the patio/clubhouse area in 6 weeks time to celebrate Riverbank Lodges 5 year anniversary. With betrayal come animosity that Dahlia has to learn to put behind her to see this project to success. Along the way Levi starts to break her exterior of hatred she’s had towards him the last 7 years.
Are you someone who likes a story of overcoming obstacles in life for true love? If so, then this book is ABSOLUTELY for you!
A gripping novel loaded with cheating, passion, and betrayal will keep you turning pages to find out what happens for Dahlia? What Happens with Levi? Where does the ex-husband Trey fall into all of this? Does Dahlia drop her walls for a chance at forever love?
Renee Regent doesn’t disappoint with another story that keeps you wanting more! To have those questions above answered as well as others you may have, you need to dig in and read it till the end. Possibly in one sitting!

Check Out (The Bobbins Sisters Series Book 1) by Debra Parmley – Review by Heather Bass

Check OutCheck Out by Debra Parmley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew my mind. I love a good military book but this story exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of the Bobbin sisters series. I was hooked on the first page and I could not stop until the end. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.

Betsy Bobbins absolutely loves her job. She has always wanted to be a librarian. Betsy is drawn to a handsome man that keeps coming in and getting books from her. She is a little nervous because he wears an eye patch over one eye. Betsy is about to go home in a very bad snow storm but just her luck her car has a flat. She is shocked that the handsome guy helps her and she finds out that his name is Nash. He was a marine that got hurt in the line of duty. Betsy is falling for this guy but she discovers he has PTSD. She knows he would never hurt her but is she strong enough to help him through it? Also Betsy’s little sister has a stalker and she has to turn to Nash for help. Will they be able to find out who it is before it’s too late?

Second Chamce ex-Mas by N.D. Jackson – Review by Amanda Kimble

Second Chance eX-masSecond Chance eX-mas by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5/5 Stars

Second Chance eX-mas by N.D. Jackson

This is the first book I’ve read by Jackson, but it won’t be my last. This book gives every second chance lover what they’re looking for. Christmas and exes coming together.

Ally is a single mom to a six year old she loves with everything in her. Lately her daughter is wanting to meet her dad and Ally isn’t sure if that’ll happen. When she learns that her ex is coming back to town things change. The quote I chose for Ally is: “Me too. My biggest worry all these years was that I didn’t have enough family to give Glory all the love and attention she deserves, but today, watching the way she lit up so easily with Finn and Stephen, I felt like crying.”

Archer walked away from the love of his life and never looked back. When he comes home he finds that things have changed. He’s got a kid He doesn’t know. The quote I chose for Archer is: “Yes, that’s how ice skating works. I’ll be right there with her. Holding her hand and cushioning her fall. This is something I can teach her, Ally.”

Highly recommended for contemporary romance lovers.

A Merry Texan Christmas (Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge #3) by Nicole Flockton

Trey, the eldest and baseball player, finally comes home to settle down. Thing is though, he never thought about finding love. He comes to find that he’s not the only one who loves Christmas. The quote I chose for Trey is: “I’m not going to deny I was a little taken aback, but it’s not something I’m going to keep bringing up. I’m also sorry you had to find out about this contract the way you did. I’m going to discover how it happened. I don’t like that it’s out like this. The Stars now believe that I’m going to play with them and I haven’t even given serious thought to what I’m going to do.”

Maggie, school librarian and towns’ window dresser, finds herself in some competition. What happens when her crush from school moves back? The quote I chose for Maggie is: “You’re right. I need to go. I love him. I don’t want to go through what I’ve gone through the last few days without him nearby. I’ve got to suck it up and find out what he has to say.”

Highly recommended for contemporary romance lovers.
