I wasn’t sure what to make of Sinful Vow at first. It was much more “spicy” than I anticipated straight off the bat but it simultaneously had my undivided attention.
I liked how the narrative switched between both main characters and as the first book in a series, I felt like we were given a good background on all characters and each one really had a lot of depth.
I knew going into this that there was a romance element to the genre and originally found myself wishing there was more action, that wish was granted pretty quickly. This book truly exceeded all expectations and I look forward to more from this author.

This was a book I could not put down. This is the first time I have read a book by this author and I was not disappointed in any way. The author was able to grab my attention and keep it throughout the entire book. The mafia world is a scary down right competitive backdrop to this book. I loved the protective instincts of our main characters even though they come from different mafia families at war. You will find the story line very intriguing and well as keeping you on your toes with all the beautifully written plot twists. I will certainly be reading book two.

Not my first read by this author and she just has a way to pull you right in from the start and feel for each character pretty fast.

I loved these 2 and their back and forth. I really was turning pages to see what would happen next. Must read

Aly and Luca probably couldn’t be more opposite if they tried, but they mesh well together. Aly wants nothing more than to get away from everything and everyone connected to her name while Luca is doing everything to gain the respect and take the place of his adopted father one day. When Luca finds out that Aly is to be married he kidnaps her from her father’s home. By doing so he has started a war that has been building up for years. His intention has always been to get revenge on Mr. Mancini for killing his two friends when he was a child, but when it comes to Aly he has a bit of a soft spot. Will Luca finally get his revenge or will these two families finally be able to make peace?

I can’t express enough how this book was to read. I don’t recall a Mafia romance where I was sucked in from the very first page. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

This is the first book in the dark mafia sins series and OMG this is a great book and I fell in love could not put this book down I ended up finishing it in one day. This is a dark romance with a twist.
Luca Rossi is cocky and ruthless, when she look into his eyes, all she see his is hatred for what she represent. He is the heir to her family’s greatest rival within the Italian mafia but he also has a keen sense of when I need him the most.
Aly is the illegitimate child of Mancini family; she’s not welcomed 100% into the family but she’s left in the outskirts with protection and her dad’s loyal eye. The night before her arranged wedding Luca comes in like a thief he is and steals her setting off a war that had been brewing for years.
Now he expects her to marry him is he crazy? What about her fiancé? What about her Family? Can they overcome being enemies to lovers? Will they have a happily ever after?

Sinful Vow was an interesting read. It’s a story about a young man adopted by a mafia Don that ends up meeting and falling for the daughter of the Don of the rival family. While I liked the character of Aly it was hard to root for her to be with Luca. He reads like a sociopath and she is his possession. It was very difficult to believe that he loved her and therefore very difficult to root for them. I was screaming for her to run in the other direction. I liked reading about Aly’s relationship with her mom. I wish we could have had more of that. Aly was a smart girl that just doesn’t realize that the man she loves is just like her father, with who she has a lot of issues. I’m not sure if this was intended but character-wise, it’s understandable. There’s lots of good action and it is a quick read. All in all, I liked it.

Sinful Vow (Dark Mafia Sins, book 1) by Emily Bowie. I love Mafia book and I love some romance so this was my dream book. It was amazing. Its the story of Luca Rossi who has never had a easy time in life. Luca ends up meeting Mafia Boss Nicoli Rossi and he adopted Luca. This is what opened many doors for Luca. When Luca meets Aly Mancini who is the daughter of the Rossi’s family rival he is smitten. Aly was taken with Luca as well and felt safe with him even though she knew he was dangerous. When Aly’s father arranges for her to marry someone Luca is not happy. He is willing to do whatever he needs to in order to stop it. Even though their romance is forbidden because of feuding families they know deep down they should be together. Will they be able to put off Aly’s dad and his arranged marriage or will she have to spend the rest of her life as a pawn in her families deadly game?

Wow what a story! I absolutely loved this book it really was an amazing read! Aly and Luca’s story was just sizzling! There was definitely some chemistry between them two of them even thought they were from rival mafia families. This may have been a short story but it definitely didn’t feel that way, it was well developed and had a great flow to it. I loved the dual POV in the book it meant that I really understood how the two characters were feeling about each other.
I am so excited to read more from this series I cannot wait!!

Luca Rossi has been following Aly Mancini since she was sixteen. As the only witness to the murder, Aly decides not to inform her father. When her brother, Jonny, dies, Pierre Mancini tells Aly she is required to marry Coy. Despite her protests, Mancini kept her captive in his home. The evening before her wedding, Luca appears. After a brief struggle, Luca drugged Aly. When she awakens, Aly finds herself a prisoner and Luca’s bride to be. The Rossi family directly opposes the Mancini family. Luca’s marriage to Aly would be a powerful move to end the Mancini family. There is a problem with the plan. Luca and Aly both have powerful feelings for one another. The loyalty to each family is the only issue preventing them from confessing their feelings to one another. What will it take to tip the balance?

An engaging Mafia romance, I thoroughly enjoyed the amount of relatable characterizations made throughout the story. Luca’s coldness was his defensive armor, and I fully understand why he did his best not to show any weakness to anyone. Growing up, she never found favor by the Mancini family. The result from one of Pierre’s affairs. She didn’t have the same loyalty to her father and went to incredible lengths to make sure she was not dependent on him for her own business success. Mancini’s attempt to manipulate Aly disgusted me. The suspense of this story is epic, and I would recommend this book to any adult reader who loves a slow burn romance with inconceivable twists.

This is the first book that I have read from this author. I really enjoyed it. It was well written with a story that kept me interested. I love dark mafia novels. They are full of danger, intrigue and sexual tension. Luca is the heir to the Rossi family and Aly is the illegitimate child of the Mancini family. They should be sworn enemies but one fateful day they crossed paths and their lives have been intertwined ever since. The chemistry between the two is off the charts. This enemies to lovers story is captivating and kept me on edge. There were parts that were definitely intense. I will be looking out for more books written by this author.

I enjoyed this book but it took a few chapters for me to actually like it. I’m glad I did stick with reading it because I came to love the relationship between Aly and Luca. Aly is the illegitimate daughter of the Mancini family crime boss and Luca is the son and heir of the Rossi family. Luca has been watching out for and protecting Aly since she was a teen and his attraction to her is undeniable. When he discovers she is supposed to wed another in an arranged marriage, Luca sweeps in and takes her as his own. During this time, Aly discovers that Luca’s family is not like her own. They actually care for each other and Aly begins to care about them as well, especially Luca. Once I got into this story, I could not put it down. I appreciate all the action and the rivalry between the two families is well written. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Intense and captivating!
What a great start to a new mafia series! Aly is the bastard child who isn’t accepted in the mafia world and Luca is lucky enough to join a prominent mafia family when nothing else in his life is going right. Sinful Vow is everything you’d expect from a mafia story… dark, twisted, and fast-paced! Luca and Aly fit together seamlessly despite being from rival families. Their story is raw and emotional with just enough steam to keep you hooked.

This was the first book I have read in the Dark Mafia series and I will be looking for the others right away. This was a completely different read from the ones I usually chose but I can say for sure that I was pleasantly surprised! The fast pace and drama was just what I needed.

Luca and Aly are on opposite sides of the fence when it comes to their rival mafia families. When Aly is thrust into her fathers notice after her half brother dies, she is expected to do what is right for the family and enter into an arranged marriage. Luca has other ideas in mind and gets tired of waiting and takes what is his.

I’m excited to see where this story goes.

Sinful Vow captivated me from the very first chapter of when 10 year old Luca was out with Scott and Jay doing their thing. They were the best of friends. Rossi and Mancini were having a meeting at a park when these kids crossed paths with 2 of the most powerful men.
Rossi is a father of 4 daughters until that day. Rossi decides to take in Luca and treat him as if he was born into the mafia like his other 4 children.

Luca crosses paths with Aly as a teenager and vow’s to always keep her safe. If Mancini knew Luca was getting that close to Aly, there would’ve been consequences!!! This book in mafia fashion has so much going on. So much more suspense then I could’ve ever though. The book was perfectly written. I’m not typically a fan of mafia books but this one was so good. Cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.

This might have been the author’s first foray into the mafia genre, but Damn! What a first shot!! I was invested, hooked, thrilled from the first page of Chapter One. The story was fun. The characters are real and believable. The banter between Aly and Luca is witty and funny.

Luca Rossi has never had an easy life. Luca had the fortune of meeting Mafia Boss Nicoli Rossi on one of the worst days of Luca’s short life. The only good to come out of it was that Nicoli adopted Luca. That day and the change of fortune would ripples in Luca’s life forever. When Luca was trying to make his bones and protect his family, he stumbled across her. She was young, strong, beautiful and addictive.

She is Aly Mancini, illegitimate daughter of the Rossi’s family rival. The day she met Luca, Aly didn’t know who he was but she knew he was dangerous and deadly. Luca kept turning up whenever Aly needed him for the next 6 years. Aly claimed that she hated his intrusion into her life but, secretly, she felt safe and protected knowing that he would be there for her.

When Aly’s father decides that she has to marry to keep the family strong, Aly doesn’t want to do it. Luca agrees. Luca takes Aly. Is Aly just another pawn in the ongoing feud between the families or does Luca really love her?

The story has so many twists and turns. My heartbroke right along with Luca’s when he thought he was betrayed. My pulse raced when Aly was in danger. The pages flew when plans were being made. My screen got all foggy during the steam! Please tell me Book 2 is coming soon!

Hooked! What a great book and story! The author has an effortless writing style that is engaging and reels you into the story. I really enjoyed Paisley and Caspian’s unique story and the unfolding of their personal stories as the book progressed. From the same roots and with a history that time has changed, Paisley and Caspian literally collide. Each facing their own very different challenges, Caspian helps Paisley realize they can can help each other. Though they entered into a marriage of convenience their steamy attraction can’t be denied…could it ever be anything more? I’ve recently gotten into mafia books, and this was a great addition to the collection. The book starts out with Luca as a young orphan who runs the streets with his friends, pickpocketing unsuspecting victims. After getting caught in the act by a couple of mafia bosses, one of them takes him in as a son.

As an adult, Luca encounters the teenage daughter of an enemy boss as he’s leaving the scene of a crime, and Aly’s pass on ratting him out to her father forges an unlikely alliance between the two, which grows over time with random encounters.

As Aly grows on the fringe of the mafia, not quite fully under her father’s protection since her mother was his mistress, and never taking money from him to avoid his rule, she’s able to build a successful business. But, when her mother falls ill, she turns to her father to help with her medical care and finds herself sucked into her father’s business.

Things take a turn for the worse when her brother, the heir of the business, is killed, and her father decides it’s time for Aly to step up and marry into another mafia family to forge a stronger alliance. Held captive by her father until the wedding, Luca shows up to rescue her, but neither are sure how much to trust the other.

Luca declares he’ll marry Aly, and she finds herself still trapped, but in a different setting. Things heat up between the two and their bond is tested when Aly’s father gives her poison to kill Luca. Faced with deciding between allegiance to her family or the man who’s somehow always shown up to protect her when there was no one else, Aly must decide her own fate.

A great slow-burn romance with lots of twists and turns!

I loved it and couldn’t put it down. This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites to read.
I was drawn in right from the beginning. Love this series.

We get dual POV, I really loved these two. We get a little back story and start when they are younger and go through the years. At one point Aly meets Luca, her silence earns his protection even though he is the enemy. Then when Aly is 21 things take a pretty big twist and she finds herself in a position she never thought she would be in. Luca has a plan and that includes Aly, will he be successful?

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn’t get through the book fast enough to see what was coming next. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great mafia series, I highly suggest this one. 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Aly meets Luca when she is 16 years old, and he is already a killer in the Italian Mafia. Romeo and Juliet are referenced and it’s accurate in saying that their two families hate each other, and blood will be spilt. We get to see Aly grow up and make choices that no woman should ever have to make. Family or Love? She’s not the only one that has to make that choice by the time the book is finished. A few twists of fate, bad decisions and some unpredictable moments had me turning pages eagerly to see what comes next.
