Plague of Death (Anchoress Series Book 2) by D.L. Armillei – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

Plague of Death (Anchoress, #2)Plague of Death by D.L. Armillei
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fearing that emotions could lead her down the dark path of her cursed ancestors, Van hardens her heart and focuses on her destiny.
When I tell you this series gets better and better.
I was ready to skip to the end cause I was so excited to read the result.
This has me sitting on the edge of my bed all night reading and I can’t wait for the next book.
So much for a girl to carry on her shoulders but man is she strong enough to hold it?!
This is so well written that I had to read some pages again, it entangles you into the drama and adventure.
I feel as if I’m watching Van grow up, I love that the author takes me on this journey.
Amazing. Can’t wait for more.

Helm of Awe (Anchoress Series #3)Helm of Awe by D.L. Armillei
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If she fails, only the Creator knows if Van and her team will get out of this mess alive.
Go Van, go Van!
I think this was her biggest adventure and I was worried for her.
I really feel like this author wants a piece of my soul with every chapter.
If you haven’t read this trilogy please do!
During the darkest times we find growth in our MC.
This was really a journey I will miss these characters.
This author took me on a roller coaster…. This is gold and I’m giving it five stars.
I need more from this author she gives me everything I need, fantasy genre check, amazing character development check, more then 200 pages check, series check!
Such an amazing read.

Shock of Fate (Anchoress Series Book 1) by D.L. Armillei – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

Shock of Fate (Anchoress #1)Shock of Fate by D.L. Armillei
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This author knew what she was doing.
You have a long story that is surprise after surprise and we have suspense, mystery and a female MC you CANNOT go wrong.
Plucked from her ordinary life to journey to an alternate world to retrieve a priceless relic, The MC breaks the rules to sneak her best friend along to help with a quest of her own.
I loved this and it’s only book one.
What would you do if the person you love disappeared?!
I need a best friend like van.
A book with a moral of growth and development.
This is the definition of teen fiction/young adult and it is great.
It checks all the boxes and I like that I found humor in the villain.
I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Keeping Secrets (Grimm Wolves MC Book 4) by D.M. Earl – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

Keeping Secrets- Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC #4)Keeping Secrets- Prospect by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yesssssss.
This was the best book so far omg I cried and screamed and stopped for a break.
When Iron starts prospecting with the Grimm Wolves MÇ, he feels like he has found a safe haven with his club brothers and their families.
As they open their hearts to not only him but to his daughter, Everly, and his baby momma, Joy, he feels a sense of security for the first time since all the lies began.
This is a beautiful, adventurous, action packed quick read that touch’s the soul.
This author is a master of creativity.
I fell in love with this story,it gave me Dear John vibes.
This is a must read perfect for book club.
As the fourth book in the series I am convinced they you can read them separately and still understand the vibe.
I truly appreciate a good book, and this is five stars easy.

Santa...Nope the Grimm Wolves (Grimm Wolves MC #3)Santa…Nope the Grimm Wolves by D.M. Earl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What happens when your past pounds on your door and you lose the little control you have over your own life?
This was a little rough for me to read.
This story was very quick and jam packed.
Surprise after surprise.
We continue the intensity of this motorcycle club.
This author has a way of making readers connect with each and every character.
I love that each book gives you new characters and keeps the love of others.
Each story goes in depth of the family that this club created.
Who is your favorite character? I do not have an answer.
This is a cute spin on the holidays.
Oh boy, this gets better with every page.
I wish they were longer, I want more of each story.

Bottom of the Chains (Grimm Wolves MC Book 2) by D.M. Earl – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

Bottom of the Chains (Grimm Wolves MC #2)Bottom of the Chains by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When I tell you I connect so well with this character! This series is going to ruin me.
I thought the first book was good and I lied this was amazing it’s pulling at my heart strings.
Feeling the weight of life, how can Our MC prove to the only family he has ever had that He is worth the trouble? Or maybe the truth is he’s not! It all depends on how much The Grimm Wolves MC are willing to put up with by one of their newest prospects.
I understand the yearn for acceptance and this series isn’t just amazingly written each one highlights a moral and life lesson.
Foster care is dramatic & traumatizing (from experience) and it can shape you or break you.
This book shows the evolution of an empath and the irony of feeling all others emotions while you struggle with yours.
Ugh it’s beautiful.
I will give this every star if I could!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As with everything in Francis’ life there is good and bad.
Will Francis, Grace and Damien be able to overcome their problems for a happily ever after or will fate once again cause chaos for them?
This was excitingly good.
The gripping hold that it has from the very beginning with a conclusion that has you ready for book 2.
An empath living a double like ….sexy firefighter and tough nomad.
This will have you screaming with joy and full of wonder.
Only time will tell us what destiny has in store for these amazing characters.
This was a different read then I’m use to but worth every page.

Class Clown (Ghost Girl Series) by Allan Evans – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

Class ClownClass Clown by Allan Evans
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was definitely a psychological thriller.
This gave me serious ghost whisperer vibes.
Dead clowns are at the new high school, and friends have gone missing.
The main character has unique abilities that could help, but they also could be the reason for the clown apocalypse.
Cause highschool isn’t hard enough.
I recommend this to all my horror fans.
As a person petrified of clowns, this will not get you over yikes fear.
It’s a bit disturbing but interesting and it keeps you engaged.
Do I recommend? Yes it is good overall once I got half way through, so entertaining.

Well okay! I read this book on 2 hours it was that good.
I must say that it was so fast paced that I was like wait no that can’t be it..yup mystery solved.
It’s murder mystery meets friendship 101.
The friends you make in high school are usually the ones you never forget.
This author is so detailed in her words and the descriptions of the characters and the plot that you feel like part of the story.
I loved it!
I would recommend this to everyone as a high school graduation gift, light but mysterious and overall engaging. Added to my collection.
This was an easy five stars.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was AMAZING!
Now I love historical crime novels but this was a masterpiece.
The author kept me encased word for word, it is addicting the more you read.
This has everything you want …a twist of time travel …love …and murder.
This was truly an adventure and this should be on everyone’s to read list this year.
Perfect for book club or just a good read.
Finding out this is a series has me so excited for more.
If I could have any super power, now I want premonition.
This was so well crafted with the words and vision jumping of the page. This author knows what they are doing and I need more.
Five stars isn’t enough for this.
One of the best books I ever read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was not what I expected.
The content was different and I didn’t know how to feel starting it.
I found this empowering.
One of the most original stories I have read in a long time.
A slave owner that already owns it all?
A woman that has nothing willing to take a huge risk?
I don’t know if it was just me but this book touched me.
Four stars, I am interested in reading more from this author.
A great take on history and romance and interracial couple.

The Clockwork Solution (The Clockwork Chronicles Book 2) by Michelle D. Sonnier – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

The Clockwork Solution (The Clockwork Chronicles Book 2)The Clockwork Solution by Michelle D. Sonnier
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was better then book one.
I really enjoyed the characters in this story.
As in the first book our female main character still needs to prove herself to her family.
Is she a witch or an abomination.
This read is all about a young witch coming into her power and risking her life to save the world from powers that cannot be controlled. Disease.
There are guardians of the witches and they were my favorite.
We get to see more of this power that isn’t known to the family.
I am still not a huge fan of this story as a whole but I enjoyed the characters and I feel there is character development in the main character.
I am looking forward to the next installment of this series.
I see where the author is coming from,This is good for introduction to young adult readers.
This definitely earned four stars this was very enjoyable.

The Clockwork WitchThe Clockwork Witch by Michelle D. Sonnier
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved the plot of this book.
The idea that the author had for this was amazing HOWEVER,I don’t think it came together in a good way.
I felt very disconnected with the characters but I loved the power.
I have always been addicted to witchcraft and this was very original.
The plot of a young witch coming into her power after being destined to stay mortal.
Luckily the female main character is the first of her kind and that was very intriguing.
This story started out slow for me but it is a quick and easy read.
Not a huge fan of the book overall but it does have amazing points.
I need to read more from this author to recommend in the future.
I liked this book, I did expect to love it.

A Hundred Wishes (Band of Sisters) by Marianne Rice – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

A Hundred Wishes (Band of Sisters)A Hundred Wishes by Marianne Rice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is such a beautiful honest story.
I believe all women should read this.
A journey of loving yourself before you can love someone else.
Gina is a soldier and that touched me,
Bryce made me think of dear John but with a happy ending.
This story was so well written that I was transported into the love story.
What would you wish for if you had 100 wishes?!
That is what I thought of when I saw the cover.
A love story and a battle of truth and identity.
This story is the perfect pace and seemed very original with the character development.
This can be triggering for soldiers and their families.
I am so excited to read more from this author, add her to my collection because this could has won my heart.

Nite Fire: Smoke & Mirrors by C. L. Schneider – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

Smoke & Mirrors (Nite Fire #3)Smoke & Mirrors by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This author has officially bought this story around full circle.
WHY DO I STILL LOVE DRAGONS?!
This right here….
Okay now these books are so long and it’s great because it’s alit of omg and yes and wow but,
Everytime I get to the middle it drags& it’s not the story it’s just so much at once and it never ends and then it’s over and I want more.
Do you see my dilemma?
The world of power and murder twisted into mystery.
Did I say there was a dragon? It really is the best!
Now the great thing is unlocking all the power that our female MC has inside and I’m guessing she has evermore amazing tricks.
Be careful who your friends are my mom taught me that!
This author has time to bring us gold.
I am going to give it four stars, it IS amazing but for me it was longer then it needed to be but I still respect and love this series and I cannot wait for more.

Savage Secrets (Mafia Elite, #4)Savage Secrets by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wait WHAT!!
Did I miss something, I waited for this I love this author the mafia trope is the best but,
This was a wild ride but it wasn’t as fast as the first three books.
These definitely cannot be read alone this author has literally created a world that lives in my heart rent free.
Marco….he brings all the feels in such a short time.
This book and series is quick but NOT light!
So I need today that if you ever get a second chance at love …take it.
I literally chose book one just because of the cover and still I want to post this everywhere it is appealing from the cover to the very last page.
I love this series and this is my number one mafia romance recommendation this year.

This is a story of a multiverse.
Do you know how talented you have to be to pull a story like this off?
Wow!
A battle of the gods and humanity that has never been written.
This is book three and this is a true masterpiece.
It was a world wind of adventure and magic and power and it is such an original story that it takes my breath away.
This author has gotten better and better with each book and I love that the story has continued.
Five stars six stars seven…what is next? I’ll be waiting!

Etched in this Moment (Etched, #1)Etched in this Moment by Calla Zae
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What do you do when justice can’t be served?!
Tia ran and changed her life and her habits and recreated herself, her past however was right around the corner.
This is one of my most enjoyable books this month.
It is full of adventure and suspense.
I love a good male MC that saves the day.
This is book one of a series and I am so excited to know more.
There is a slight trigger warning but it is not devastating.
Just enough of the hold my breath moments that have you excited to reach the last page.
I loved watching the relationship that Tia builds within her self and her savior.
Ooooooo the cover does not do it justice you can feel that heat building but …..
Well written, quick and enticing.
I’m honestly stuck between four and five stars but i deserves hype.

Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery)Shadows of Doubt by Merissa Racine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this book, it seemed like a good reference to the court process.
It was informative and entertaining.
I give this four stars only because it seemed a bit slow in the middle.
This kept me guessing the entire time though and the character development in our female MC.
Oh the secrets that emerge,
Let’s just say she handled it well.
I personally would have minded my business cause it got real.
Most of the book she gave me Kate Beckett vibes.
The twists and turns can’t be explained without spoilers but you definitely need to read this.
I didn’t read the first book but I wasn’t lost.
I love the defense attorney, I would definitely read I book from his point of view.
This author keeps you on edge and I love the legal plot.
It wasn’t over dramatic it was just enough.
I would read this again and recommend it for book club.

This book wasn’t the best it was AMAZING!
It was young adult so I picked it up because it has a beautiful cover.
It was good, the plot does keep you guessing.
The mystery of it is an OMG.
This book had me on the edge of my seat.
And as the first read from this author I was very surprised it was so good.
Felt like it was more fantasy then mystery and that’s just an honest opinion.
I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
A lot goes on in this book and the magic was the best part.
These female MCs that I have read lately are seriously like wow.

The Fire God Tour (Moore Family Saga, #3)The Fire God Tour by Michele Sims
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was good but I think it caught me at a bad time.
I felt a bit of a disconnect when I started on this book.
Everything about this screamed keep reading and I’m glad I did.
Luckily I read this saga backwards so I did enjoy it but I think I ruined the hype by not reading in order.
Miles is officially my go to man candy.
This is a book of desire and lust and steam and this author is the way to go.
She has a way with this couple that just built and built.
What would you do if you saw your crush naked?!
This was one of the best of the series worth the binge.
I don’t know how to explain this.
A favorite that’s all.
Five stars not to shabby.

I feel like I need a break but there is more and I need it all.
Amazing is an understatement each book I read gets better and better.
I did feel like in the middle it dragged just a bit but it’s worth it to keep reading.

It was truly a beautiful story.
The anticipation and wonder, I loved this so much.
First let’s talk about the cover art, second the characters the plot.
I love the female character so much, it was heartwarming to pick this up in the middle of the series.
You can feel the emotion between the characters.
I wish I can read more from this author cause she has a way with words.
Not hot but steamy, endearing and aspiring.
I love a good romance.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oh well this was refreshing.
This was an easy read so entertaining.
I loved the plot to this story the suspense and romance was amazingly written.
I loved the character development that it’s a future story.
This should be a standalone because even though it had the same story line and characters as the rest of the series this seemed more like a past story then six weeks later.
This wasn’t as good as book four or three but this author has a way with words.
It’s great to know that the story goes on with the main character.
I really enjoyed this overall.

Wildcat: A Steamy Firefighter Romance by Carina Alyce – Review by Corine Lombardi-Quiles

Wildcat (MetroGen After Hours, #1)Wildcat by Carina Alyce
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I don’t know how to feel about this book.
It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst.
The plot was good but it was all steam not much build or burn.
Now I have never DNF’d a book and I am determined not to ….this almost got it.
Maybe because I’m a mood reader the characters didn’t catch me but I enjoyed the story itself.
This was a love hate type of book and the fact it’s a series had me determined to finish and again I just don’t know how to feel.
It just seemed a bit chaotic.
This gave great tension but I lost my place a lot trying to figure out if I missed something.
Warning it’s third person. That is not for me.
I would recommend this for smut, for good story no.
This fell flat for me.
I am sorry, I am going to reread this soon maybe I just wasn’t in the mood.

Oh the MC is one I will be thinking of for awhile.
A very vivid picture was made with this author and that really set the story apart.
I am so happy this is a series because I need to know what happens next.
This book is what I needed to get out of a slump.
If you are a fan of mafia and family feuds, love and spice,

TRIGGER WARNING!

I am still crying over this book I never have been so emotional.
Elsa and Anton really are true love and prove that love can conquer all.
This personally hit home for me.
Depression and alcohol abuse brings this story to life as it is so relatable.
The first book was good, this book I cannot even describe how amazing it is.
My heart hurts and I need therapy.
Now the story is character driven and the triggers bring this story to life.
OMG the character development of both Elsa and Anton is so well written that you feel compelled to keep reading as if you are a part of their story.
This story proves that money and fame do not bring happiness.
They triumphantly are couple goals by the end.
Marriage is beautiful.
Thank you to this author cause this book is a masterpiece in love and marriage and the real life that we as woman overcome.
I loved this I can’t wait for more.
