An Inheritance To Die For (Cozy Mysteries To Die For, #4)An Inheritance To Die For by Judy Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beck has been working in the bookstore cafe with her grandmother, dating a nice man, and just got her P.I. license. Her college freshman roommate Jacqueline calls begging her to come down to Miami to investigate her fathers death not convinced it was a suicide as the police believe. Jacqueline was the roommate from hell but, its a paying job. She takes the job and finds herself in the world of the rich and things are not what they seem.
Great read, great character development. I didn’t read the first couple books and I didn’t feel like I was really missing anything.

Beck is a girl after my own heart! She helps run the family bookstore/cafe with her Grandmother and loves reading! She’s not a highly athletic person, but she agrees to free lessons from hot tennis pros at a private tennis club when offered to appease her sister. One of the pros wings up dead, and Beck grabs the chance to work with the hot detective she’s been crushing on to help solve the mystery of “who done it”! Kept me guessing until the end!

A Tennis Pro To Die For (Cozy Mysteries To Die For Book 3) by Judy Moore

This is the perfect busy life read! Life can get busy where you go a couple days without getting the chance to read then lose interest in a book, but not this one! Every single chapter will have you enthralled; you won’t want to put it back down. It’s an easy to follow fun mystery that lets you connect with the characters and root for their small victories- sometimes that victory is hitting the ball over the net, sometimes it’s simply just hitting the ball!

I really enjoyed reading this uncomplicated cozy mystery novel and having not read the first two books in this stand alone series I can’t wait to go find them. Beck is living my dream life and I’m excited to see where we go next!

A Tennis Pro to Die For is book three in the Cozy Mysteries to Die For series written by Judy Moore. This is a great who done it mystery and was cleverly written. I was excited to read the work of this new to me author. It has been a long time since I have read a good mystery. The story sucked me in as I tried to solve the mystery. The characters were well developed, had striking personalities, and they were very easy to relate to. The story evolved really well and kept me interested and invested from the beginning. A Tennis Pro to Die For was a thoroughly entertaining read. 4 stars.

A Tennis Pro to Die For by Judy Moore is the third book in the Cozy Mysteries to Die For series. This is a nice, quick read and great to return to the familiar characters of Beck, Lizzie, and Devon. This can be read as a standalone and completely enjoyed. I have read the other books in the series and it is nice to have the recurring characters and see how they are changing as the series progresses. I read this quickly and was left wanting the next book in the series. I enjoy the characters and the odd murders they find themselves involved in. This is a great getaway book to get your mind off of all the craziness of the world and allow yourself to find yourself elsewhere. I hope there is more to this series and look forward to more from this author in the future.

A Tennis Pro To Die For (Cozy Mysteries to Die For, #3)A Tennis Pro To Die For by Judy Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was looking forward to reading this third book in author Judy Moore’s ‘Cozy Mysteries To Die For’ series having read and enjoyed the previous books and I was not disappointed. Back with what now feels like old friends, the main characters Beck O’Rourke, her grandmother, Miss Alice, and Beck’s younger sister Lizzie are all present. As well as running ‘Beach Reads’ a bookstore and coffee shop Beck’s also likes to investigate mysteries and crimes. In this story Lizzie has persuaded Beck’s into taking tennis lessons and to make things worse for Beck’s who does not like the heat it’s the middle of a hot South Florida summer. Whilst Lizzie is sporty, Beck’s would rather sit in the shade and watch but when one of the racquet club’s tennis pros is killed by a hit-and-run driver Beck’s helps investigate the murder along with police detective Devin Mathis. I already loved the main characters as they are very likeable and relatable and I have enjoyed the character development throughout out the three books. Each character brings something different to the story and the interactions between them all are very realistic. The storyline flows well and the plot twists and turns kept me guessing until the last page. The descriptive narrative made me feel immersed in the story and I felt like I was investigating along with Beck’s. This was an enjoyable and engaging read which had me hooked from page one. Although each book can be read as a standalone story the main characters do crossover and I would personally recommend reading the whole series to really understand the backstory.

A Tennis Pro To Die For (Cozy Mysteries to Die For, #3)A Tennis Pro To Die For by Judy Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Tennis Pro To Die For is the third book in Judy Moore’s Cozy Mysteries To Die For series. With a coastal Florida setting and a book loving accidental heroine, this series is proving a great comfort read!
In this book, Beck is caught up in the mystery when a tennis pro from the club where she has been (reluctantly) having lessons is found dead. A fan of mystery novels, Beck has already found herself caught up in multiple cases before and seems to have a knack for solving them.
The supporting characters in this series are well established by now! I particularly like Scratchoff, the unlikely millionaire who is committed to supporting those in need. There are also some great canine characters, particularly Coquina.
This book could be read as a standalone if you’re particularly looking for a tennis-themed murder mystery. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend starting at A Book Signing To Die For and working your way through, getting to know the characters along the way!
For me, this is another five-star read. I can’t wait to read more of the series!

I give A Tennis Pro To Die For (Cozy Mysteries To Die For Book 3) by Judy Moore, 5 stars.

This is another thrilling cozy mystery in such a fun series. This can be read as a stand alone, but if you are following the series, you will enjoy this book even more. Yes, there is another whodunit for Beck to solve, but it is totally different than the last two. While Beck and her family and friends are back as well as her bookshop, the murder involves a country club and the employees and residents there. This bring a whole new spin on things. Plus, Beck being away for a while makes both Beck and Devon ponder on their futures. You will have to read the book to see just what I mean.

I love how the author brings back the characters we love, yet makes the main story different enough from the previous ones to keep us enthralled until the very end. If you are a fan of Agatha Christie and cozy mysteries, I highly recommend both this book and series.

A Tennis Pro To Die For (Cozy Mysteries to Die For, #3)A Tennis Pro To Die For by Judy Moore

Well, what happens when you are bullied into taking tennis lessons but your instructor mysteriously ends up in a hit and run accident, it could only happen to Beck.

Beck has been hounded by her sister Lizzie to start going to Tennis lesson, so after a lot of coercing she finally gives in and starts her lessons at the local Country Club, but when Beck hears that one of the Tennis pros is found in a hit and run scenario her sleuthing vibes come to the forefront and is itching to get involved in the investigation but will Devon let her get involved. So to her surprise when Devon asks for her help she is all to eager to help solve this murder.

I have read all the books up to this stage in the Cosy murders and I love them, the characters are wonderful and I love to see the growth of them in each book I read. Beck is such a wonderful forthright character who knows exactly what she wants and is not afraid to run for it headlong even though sometimes it may get her into more trouble. I am so intrigued in reading the next book to see if the relationship of Devon and Beck moves into the next gear as I love the anticipation of the bubbling chemistry.

Although I love the main characters in these books, I am also glad the secondary characters are moving forward also, with Granny and Scratchoff (please involve him more, I love this character). With the fast pace of the book, you have no time to be caught sleeping, the book whisks you along with the story and you will end up saying that famous line “just one more chapter” and you know we have all been there. The story is well written and the plot twists are brilliant. I think this was my best book so far purely because of the interactions and the growth of the characters. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series to see where the next adventure/crime will take us. Although this can be read as a standalone book, I would recommend that you read the series as you get a better insight into the characters.

A Tennis Pro To Die For is the third book in the Cozy Mysteries To Die For series by Judy Moore. I really enjoy a cozy mystery, and this book/series certainly fits that bill with an intriguing storyline, crime, interesting quirky characters, murder, investigation, danger, suspense, and some drama.
This story is descriptively detailed, fully developed, and well-woven. And as with the first two books in the series, Ms. Moore had no problem building the suspense and tension, keeping it going over the course of her story.
A Tennis Pro To Die For takes us back to Manatee Beach, and to Beach Reads Bookstore where we join Beck, Grammy, Lizzie, and Devon (all of whom we met back in book one) on another murder mystery. This time we explore the darker side of pro tennis, when Lizzie convinces Beck to take tennis lessons (which is a rather unpleasant experience for Beck)- and all too soon things turn into a murder mystery and investigation when one of the tennis pro’s is killed.
Bring on Book #4!

Thank you, Judy Moore!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Tennis Pro to Die for is the 3rd book in the Cozy Mysteries to Die for series by Judy Moore. This is a really enjoyable book. Set on the sunny Florida shores, Beck and her sister Lizzie are given guest memberships and tennis lessons at the local country club, athletic Lizzie loves the game however Beck would rather sit in the shade watching than actually playing, watching the dynamic between the flirty members and the handsome tennis coaches. When one of these coaches turns up dead Beck decides to use her detective skills to try and find his killer and there is a list of potential suspects. During this investigation Beck gets close to the club’s professional tennis player and of course, the handsome Detective Devon, who finally realises how useful Beck can be. I have really enjoyed this series so far, each book can be read as a stand along, but it is better if you read them all as you can see the characters development. An enjoyable mystery.

A Tennis Pro To Die For by Judy Moore is the third book in the Cozy Mysteries to Die for series by Judy Moore. Moore’s attention to detail about the dark underside of the tennis pro circuit is intriguing. Another great mystery starring Beck O’Rourke. Lizzie, Beck’s sister talks Beck into taking tennis lessons at a nearby country club. Beck loves to read and really isn’t an athletic girl. Beck is good at is solving mysteries. Several weeks after starting tennis lessons one of the tennis pros that both Beck and Lizzie had class with is found dead. Beck has assisted the local detective Devon Mathis with solving a couple other mysterious death in the community of Manatee Beach, Florida. I love Ms. Moore’s Cozy Mystery Series. A Tennis Pro To Die For has just the right amount of mystery and intrigue to it that it keeps you reading.

This is the third novel in Judy Moore’s Cozy Mysteries To Die For series. In my personal opinion these books just flow and are so much better when read in order. You really begin to feel as the characters are family you could visit from time to time and join in on their adventures. I love how Moore writes these mysteries with just enough humor and wit to feel like you get a comedy read as well. It is a unique spin to the cozy mystery genre. In this one we visit the world of pro tennis and man do things get messy. Beck really finds herself in the thick of it while taking tennis lessons she was coaxed into taking by her sister. The death of a tennis pro will make things even more interesting. I can’t wait to see where we will find ourselves next in this series.

A Tennis Pro to Die for by Judy Moore a five-star read that is great off the bat. This is number three in the Cosy Mystery to die for series, they don’t need to be read in order as they each focus on a different main event, and story, but they are all amazing Beck O’Rourke is such a great character, she is relatable, funny and just one of the characters that will suck you into this story and keep you hooked all the way through. The mystery when the tennis pro is murdered just adds to the story and solidifies the role that Devon plays. It’s a great story and a fab series that must be read.

A Tennis Pro To Die For (Cozy Mysteries to Die For, #3)A Tennis Pro To Die For by Judy Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Tennis Pro To Die For is the third book in the Cozy Mysteries To Die For series by Judy Moore. This book can be read as a stand-alone story, but I recommend starting from book one because we already know the backstory of these characters.

As you can tell by the title, this story sees the plot take a turn away from the usual path, and down that of a sporty route. I loved this element, it was fun to see the author take this series down a different path. I didn’t realise until after I read the book that the author herself is a former tennis pro, but this is definitely reflected in the writing, her knowledge of the sport and the politics surrounding it shines through brilliantly.
As with the previous books in this series, the stories are action-packed and fast-paced, but the brilliant characters help to keep the reader on track.
If you haven’t started this series yet, I would definitely recommend it if you love cosy mysteries and whodunnit-style books. It keeps you guessing and on your toes right up until the last page.

I love this series so so so so much!! I have read almost all of Judy Moore’s books, still a few more I need to grab but she has literally become one of my favorite authors in this genre. I know once I open a book I need time because I will not want to put it down.

This series in particular is an absolute favorite. I feel like these people have become my friends and I’m so emotionally invested in everything, the book store, the town, and especially the characters, including Coquina and whether she learns French or Spanish LOL Scratchoff is still a favorite and I’m having visions of a super fun yet unbelievable storyline for him that I think would quickly become a killer part of this series!

I love how the Devon and Beck story is going…it feels so amazingly real and is building perfectly!!

This is an awesome series. I personally do not recommend reading them as standalones if you want to become completely invested in these characters, you need them all for the full effect!

This author has a way of weaving her words into the most amazing stories that flow so perfectly and have just enough of the twists and turns to make them amazing.

Loved this addition and can not wait for more!!!!

A Tennis Pro To Die For (Cozy Mysteries To Die For Book 3) by Judy Moore is another great mystery starring Beck O’Rourke. Lizzie, Beck’s sister talks Beck into taking tennis lessons at a nearby country club. Beck loves to read and really isn’t an athletic gal, who I totally relate to. The thing Beck is good at is solving mysteries. Several weeks after starting tennis lessons one of the tennis pros that both Beck and Lizzie had class with is found dead. Beck has assisted the local detective Devon Mathis with solving a couple other mysterious death in the community of Manatee Beach, Florida. In the past Detective Devon was against Beck helping solve the crimes. But a summer spent apart (Beck was helping her mom after surgery) seems to have softened his feelings.
I think this is my favorite book of the series. I loved that we continue to learn more about the main characters and the supporting characters like Scratchoff and Shirley. Can’t wait to read more crime solving in future books.
