Sugar and Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Crystal Jimmo

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia, #1)Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The characters for Sugar and spice were cute. Jolie was more relatable more than Cy was. In the beginning Cy was a huge turn off. He was whiny, annoying and clearly spoiled and knew how to get his way. Seeing him grow and actually learn that money can’t fix every problem was refreshing. Seeing Jolie put him in his place was absolutely hilarious. The sex scenes seemed a little lacking, but were still pretty good. I enjoyed the book and I will be looking forward to reading her other books!

Hell Hath No Fury (Life is Hell Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Crystal Jimmo

Hell Hath No Fury (Life is Hell #2)Hell Hath No Fury by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Miss Naomi Valkyire has done it again with book 2. I loved how we got see more of Millicent and Sheridan this time around and see how their story unfolded. I love how the book picked up where the 1st one left just from a different point of view. This definitely was a different take on relationships this time around. Any would have sex scenes were implied and not written out, which I loved. The character developments for both ladies was yet again awesome. There were times I wanted to strangle them both and yell at them, but I loved the progress throughout the book. I have more questions now about Terlain the Merman! I hope she continues with this series! I cant wait for more!

Miss Everly has done it again with part two of Blue Summer! I couldn’t stop reading through this second part and seeing our girl grow into a badass and be able to hold her own made me overjoyed. The writing is phenomenal and the steamy scenes had me begging for more! The guys weren’t too overly protective and aggressive like most harem stories. Everything meshed well and nothing overpowered each other. The story flowed quite nicely and quickly. I would 100% recommend!

I loved reading this book. My daughter and I read it together. We laughed and cried at parts. The antics that the main character gets herself is crazy. We loved that it’s a cook book too! We can’t wait to try some of these out on our own! Looking forward to the sequel!

No Rest for the Wicked (Life is Hell Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Crystal Jimmo

No Rest for the Wicked (Life is Hell #1)No Rest for the Wicked by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book had me laughing and feeling bad for the characters. Delilah is someone you should not mess with. She will always get her way in the end. For a demon she was very human. I loved that I could relate to her and everything she does is on her terms. She knows she’s a demon but tries to do some good in her situation. I wish I got more background to Caspian. These the only characters that was just there. Yes he tried to help his friend but I had more questions than answered. I can’t wait to read more!

I loved this spooky thriller book. One character that I didn’t like was Rubia the ring leader. Something about her just rubbed me the wrong way. The rest of the characters were well written. I wanted to hide Amelia away from everyone just so she could have a break from being picked on. I loved the spooky thriller parts and some made my skin crawl. Definitely a good read and will be going on my personal bookshelf!

Myths & Legends: An Indie Love Anthology – Review by Crystal Jimmo

Myths & LegendsMyths & Legends by Laura Greenwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved reading all of the different myths and legends. Some I didn’t know even existed, and others it was nice reading them from a different point of view. My favorite one reading about Geb and Nut. I have heard they myth many of times, but I’ve never read it from her point of view. It lead me to the series called Forgotten Gods origin story, and from there I fell into the rabbit hole reading all of the different stories. It amazing how some legends have been forgotten. I will always come back to this book over and over and over again.

I loved the characters. I loved how much the Zayed gave her respect and treated her like a person. Most of all they didn’t treat her possessively. Unlike all of the reverse harem books, all 4 men were respectful of Lillie and each other. There wasn’t an ounce of possessiveness at all and that was a breath of fresh air. While there were some steamy sexy scenes, those were outplayed by the story itself. It added to the story instead take away from it. I can’t wait to read book two!

I’m one for young adult books and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The different perspective on each character gives you an insight on just what’s going on in a 13 year old’s mind. It reminded me very much when I was younger and wishing I had awesome friends like Vlad, Damien, Lily and the other misfits in the group. I had a good chuckle about the situations these kids got themselves in. I highly recommend if you need a good chuckle or want to remember being a preteen again.

Seductive Prey (Relentless #1) by Vivian Fiano – Review by Crystal Jimmo

Steamy scenes!

Vivian has outdone herself with this book! Jordan and Grant are one of my two favorite characters of all time. I love how she paints Jordan as an independent woman but doesn’t overdo it. Grant is an amazing man and I wish there was more if him in real life! The scenes are hot and steamy but not too overwhelming. They aren’t the sole reason of the book. They are just enough to keep you hooked and the story itself is very well written and thought out and that cliffhanger is a sinker! I can’t wait for book 2 to come out and read it!

While I thoroughly enjoyed the books 1-3 and the rawness of Lexi’s and Lucca’s love for each other, I couldnt finish the rest of the series. The writing was really good and it brought you literally into Lexi’s mindset. The abuse scenes got to be a little much for me and i had to skip some parts of it. I would recommend to my my friends, but I wouldnt recommend it to those who have gone through abuse. Lexi’s development through all 3 books was nicely paced out. You could see her growth and there were some parts that weren’t realistic, but still added to the story. Overall I enjoyed the Authors storytelling and her writing style.

Revelations (Separate Worlds Book 1) by Izzibella Beau – Review by Crystal Jimmo

Revelations (Separate Worlds Book 1)Revelations by Izzibella Beau
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Revelations was written really well. I felt bad for Madison and the back and forth she had with Jacob. I connected with everyone except Jacob. He reminds me of the high school jocks I dealt with in high school. I hope he gets his head on straight and fesses up to his mistakes. The different points of view got a little confusing to follow at first, but once I got the hang of it I was able to follow who was “speaking” that cliffhanger got me real good and I can’t wait to read the next book! I seriously couldn’t put this book down!

Try RightTry Right by Jill Brashear
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved the steamy scenes in this book. I fell hard for Claudia and Henry and was rooting for him the entire time. My heart broke when theirs broke. When they were happy I was happy. the small authors notes threw me off for a second. I knew they were there to explain, but i felt like it was unnecessary.

Good read.

The first few chapters were a little hard to get through because it took me a second to realize what was going on and the lore was a little confusing, but once I got past that the book was really good. The action scenes were well written and the characters were awesome and I enjoyed the book. I can’t wait to see what he puts out next!

Worth the read!

This book was really good. The character development was well paced and I absolutely fell in love with the characters! It is very well written and instead of seeing the words I was seeing the story unfold like a movie playing in my head. That doesn’t happen very often for me. Can’t wait to read more by this author!
