Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters, #2)Curse of the Sands by Martin Ferguson

This is book 2 of the series, and so far, I have no complaints. This book was an amazing read, and I couldn’t read it fast enough it was incredible. This book is supernatural and history all in one. I would highly recommend this is you like suspense, action, supernatural and then a little of history all rolled into one. With the discovery of a pyramid in Egypt, with all the traps inside the pyramid it’s nearly impossible to get into tit. But this doesn’t stop the relic hunters and they set out to discover the secret a why it was just discovered now, and why all the traps what this pyramid could be hiding. This book follows two timelines but is incredible with the back-and-forth feedback and insight, I really like this part of the books.

Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters Book 2) by Martin Ferguson is adventure series.

Adam Hunter and his team from the British Museum are called in to assist after a strong sandstorm in Egypt uncovers a long-lost pyramid. In a competition against the clock to uncover the mysteries and riches concealed within, they will take on competing teams from all around the world. They are constantly thwarted by lethal traps and deceptive illusions, but worse is ahead in the shadows. An evil lurking deep within the tombs, willing to do whatever it takes to punish anyone who dares to disturb their revered dead.

Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story really brings excitement into your life. I couldn’t put the book down. As the story progressed, it made me glad I got the third one to continue the series.

Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters, #2)Curse of the Sands by Martin Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Admittedly I was drawn to the Relic Hunters series originally because of its whimsical and interesting cover art. I truly had never seen anything like it before, and as soon as I read the back cover of the first book, Eagle Of the Empire, I knew I had to read it. I was immediately transported into Adam and Matt’s world with no way out. Before I knew it I had finished the first five books of this legendary adventure.
I have never read a series as captivating as this one, where each amazing book is so much better than the last. The inclusion of history and myths makes Adam and the gang’s story feel almost nostalgic. I adore Adam and really enjoyed getting to deeply know his character. Ferguson is very skilled at developing his characters and their relationships so naturally. The flow between past and present was smooth, I also loved the structure of these books and the use of different perspectives other than Adam. It also helped the flow of the story and helped me see it as a whole.
I really enjoyed Ferguson’s tone with The Relic Hunters series and his inclusion of humor with the action. Each book is my favorite book until I read the next one in this entrancing and intriguing series. Every book had me more on the edge of my seat than the last, audibly gasping at the pages. This Young Adult Series will have anyone at any age coming back for more! I for one can not wait to sink my teeth into the Sixth installment of this series Kingdom Of The Oceans!

This is the second book in the Relic Hunters series, and it is even more incredible than the first! There is more action, danger, and adventure with Adam and his team. I do recommend reading the first book as it is good to have the background. The author does attempt to give a little introduction to him in the beginning, but there are pieces I would’ve missed without reading the first book prior to this one. I know this is aimed at a younger crowd, but I am pleased to say I was entertained the entire way through. I read it all in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down! I had to know what happened next and wasn’t going to wait to find out! Adam and his group are in Egypt for this adventure when a sandstorm hits. What is surprising is that a forgotten pyramid is found after these sandstorms, and they want to know what’s going on with it. I highly recommend picking this up because it is just too good to miss!

Indiana Jones (Adam Hunter) is back. This time in Egypt. After the first book, the Eagle of the Empire, the team at the British museum enter a quest in an unknown pyramid in Egypt which is surrounded by an unknown force. There are other teams from other countries as well, which are in the pyramid plagued with ancient curses. There is love between Gods and rivalry, there are booby traps, evil spells and thrills to keep the readers on the edge of their seats. I love mythology and this genre coupled with mystery, suspense, thrill is always a pleasure to read. I loved reading the first book and the impression continues.
I look forward to reading more from this author.

Five Stars

Curse of the Sands is a book to get lost in. I found this story to be enthralling and adventurous. There was no part od the story that I did not enjoy. Even the characters I didn’t like where enjoyable because they were written so well. This author really knows how to capture your attention and deliver the unexpected. I almost felt like I was reading two different stories. One of the past and the other the present. I don’t think that’s an easy thing to accomplish but the author pulls it off well. Adam is my favorite character so far. He gives off cocky vibes but is really insecure about his worth. I really found the theme of the book intriguing. Ancient Egypt! Long lost history filled with mystery, curses, traps and legends. I couldn’t help but to fly through this book. Definitely worthy of a second read.

I give Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters), 5 stars.
**This review may contain spoilers from book 1.**

This book pics up after book 1 and puts the crew on a brand new adventure. It is just as good as the first, if not better. We learn much more about everyone on the team, as well as some new characters. There are more to love, as well as some new ones to hate.

Then there is the story. While still an adventure with supernatural tones, we are now into Egyptian mythology and history. This book, just like the first, actually has two complete stories in it — one of the past and one set in the present. While other books flash back to the past to tell another story, the author does this so well, it could easily be two different books. I was so enthralled by both stories.

This story and the characters were so captivating, I could not put the book down. If you are a fan of action/adventure with a wonderful story and characters, this book and series are for you.

Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters, #2)Curse of the Sands by Martin Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read many stories that involve an ancient tomb, a museum employee, a group of friends, and/or the central battle of Good vs. Evil, but Curse of the Sands is written in such a way that all of these components have come together to create an entirely new page turner that, even though it’s a sequel, can stand alone.

Many of the YA books today involve dystopian worlds for the main characters to overcome, but this book takes well-used plot points and locations of our current world and puts a fresh spin on it, all while keeping the reader on their toes.

One of my favorite aspects of this book is that it encourages young people to do many things whose importance has fallen by the wayside lately, including going outside, recognizing the value of teams and friendships, and striving to keep learning. It allows for hope to blossom for future generations, all while keeping them guessing until the very end.

There is very little of Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters Book 2) by Martin Ferguson, that is not pure action. Either something catastrophic is currently happening or it is imminent. I love it. Not only is this story nonstop action but there is even a little light romance all lightly done and in very good taste. But what I love, love, love the most about the Relic Hunters books is that they challenge my knowledge of history. I find that every time I read one, I am inspired to research the theme of the book and find out the truths the story is based on. This particular one…Pharaohs and Egypt. What could be better than that?!

Curse of the Sands by Martin Ferguson is the second book in the Relic Hunters series and was a great sequel to this series! I absolutely loved reading this novel, and had trouble putting it down once I started reading. The characters were great, including the new ones introduced, and the storyline to me was better than the one in the first book. I was instantly enthralled with this story from the first chapter, and it just got more interesting the further I read. I love the historical concept, even though it’s a fiction novel, and it just made the story even more interesting. I can’t wait to read the next installment to this series!

I have read a couple of books from this author and I loved this one just as much. This is the second book of the Relic Hunters series. I love a good young adult story but this author exceeded all my expectations. This book has it all mystery, suspense, and adventure. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the end. It only took me a few hours to devour this addictive story.

Adam and his crew are ready to see what is inside of this amazing pyramid. He is about to start their adventure when another team comes as well. They are also wanting to find out what is in the pyramid as well. Adam and his team now face competition to find out what mysteries are in the pyramid. I love where the action takes us in this ancient land but also to uncover so much mystery and around the world with rivals who are out to get them which takes us on a quest with them. This makes it fun for the reader to travel with the gang.

As he watches, he sees the sands part to reveal a pyramid long lost in myth and long forgotten.

We next see Adam on a mission in Colorado with his team, where he is sent in to do recon and something goes wrong, a contaminant is released and he abandons his team to save the local populace. They travel to Egypt where the other teams join them and they are debriefed about what they will be doing there, as well as what happened to the other Egyptian team who went into the pyramid first.

As they all prepare to go in, they have no idea of what they are walking into, until they come to their first experiences, but will they be able to get past all of the pitfalls, illusions and traps and figure out who is buried there and why they are so well protected?

This is the second book in the Relic Hunters series. This fantasy book in a young adult fashion.
I enjoyed this book from the first page to the last page. The characters are fully developed and fun. The story is engaging and is set in Egypt. In this adventure, a sand storm has played havoc in a pyramid in Egypt. The team explores the pyramid but what they do not know is how much trouble they are in because they are disturbing the dead and someone will have to pay for that. I highly recommend this story to see the race against the evil that is coming for them.

This is the second book in the Relic Hunters series and wow what a book. The adventure continues with Adam Hunter and his fellow team mates from the British Museum who are brought in to help in Egypt where a pyramid has been uncovered that has never been found before.

So the team embark on the journey to discover who or what the pyramid belongs to. Is it hiding treasures from ancient Egypt or is it just one maze of deadly traps and dangerous almost deadly experiences.

Why would all this protection be in place for nothing at all? Is it protecting something special or is it all a disguise to fool people?

The story is gripping and I love how it flips from ancient Egypt times to present day to help build the story and bring it all together.
