This author and book certainly had a wow factor going. I was impressed, immersed in the book, and held to the end. The writing was perfectly done as well as done with a intense force!

The book was woven together perfectly. I find there is a thin line behind love and revenge. When is enough, well enough? The book was a quick read for me, but I was deeply intrigued and immersed as I read. The anticipation to the ending was strong, with the two characters. I must say I was knocked out of my seat when the ending occurred. Did not see it coming. I enjoyed the writing and the descriptive use by this author, great read, that is quick to read, and where the author really gets the nail in with the hammer!

Amazing read that will suck you in and hold you there to the last word on the final page! Freaking amazing read. Needless to say, I highly recommend this author and novel! Definitely a must read for sure! Loved it!

New to me author, this is a very short story but it really does a good job of getting to the point and telling you a bit about the reasons the Main characters act the way they do. I am truly intrigued at this story and would love to read more about the MCs previous and future lives. This book literally just takes minutes to read and is a violent, steamy, lust and jealously filled short story.

Glass Houses is a devilishly intriguing short and dark paranormal novella by Sinister Styx. This little tale might be short in pages, but it packs the punch of a much longer novel. It is cleverly woven to capture the reader’s attention right from the get-go with a mysterious vibe that permeates the entire story. The mystery and suspense pull you further and further into the story as you try and figure out what is going on.
This is quite a surprising little package- with all the dark and moody tension- as well as the intriguing aspects of the mystery…. But it is also very much more than it appears at first- and the revelation definitely comes as a surprise. Very cleverly done…
The writing, scene-setting, and storytelling is very rich, imaginative, and vividly descriptive. The author has woven a lot into a small package, but skilfully choreographs everything into quite an enthralling read.
Mix a toxic relationship with suspicion, doubt, mistrust, ego, pride, and tension- then sprinkle in some manipulation, violence, jealousy, suspense, curses, spice, revenge, and a touch of the paranormal…. and we get a riveting little treat from this polished storyteller.
Can’t wait to see what comes next…
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Sinister Styx!

This was definitely an interesting read. I’m hoping there is more to come, or another, longer, book added, because for only 20 pages I’m VERY intrigued and definitely wanting to read more. How this author managed to pack 20 pages with a whole story is beyond me. This author really did nail it. This book is definitely dark and may contain a few trigger warnings. I can’t wait to (hopefully) read more!

A short story about a pair of lovers who accuse each other of being unfaithful. The guilt each feels leads to their demise. One accidently kills the other and then takes their own life.

This is the first book that I have read by this author, and I LOVE THIS BOOK! The first thing that drew me to this book was the cover art. Once I saw this, I immediately knew that I had to read this book. The way that the author wrote had me not wanting to put this book down. I was not expecting the book to end the way that it did, and it had me wanting more! I cannot wait to read other books by this author as this one was amazing!

Trigger warning – This story portrays an unhealthy relationship spiral resulting in domestic violence and is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

This is a dark fantasy tale where jealousy starts a spiral that you cannot come back from. Sorrow, fear, pain, curses and manipulation are only some of what you get in this sordid tale. It is a very very short tale only 20 pages, but boy does it surprise you. Dark twists you will not see coming.

What was supposed to be love turned out to be anything but. How do you survive when you were the one that started it all because of revenge? How do you get away from the monster that cages you for eternity? Life will never be the same again. What do you do when you no longer recognise the person you have become?

Revenge has never tasted so sweet, or does it?

This fast-paced read will have your emotions all over the place! I haven’t read anything by this author before, but I’m glad I found Glass Houses because I’ll be reading much more by Sinister Styx. When a sneaking suspicion creeps into your relationship, do you let it take over and obliterate everything? Is there a way to repair that small chip at all? I had no idea where this story was going, and it totally blew me away. I highly recommend picking this up. You’ll be able to read through it quickly and be completely absorbed into the world!

This is a brilliant, fast paced short story that really hits the ground running. I found myself being swept away by what was happening and I really became caught up in the characters. I thought the dynamic between them all worked really well and it fit with the excitement of the story.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and, although it were a short book, I was impressed by how the author created a great flow. This book is exciting and well written and I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to reading more from the author in the future.

This fast-paced short story was a true page turner. Filled with suspicion and revenge, the characters find themselves in a cycle of anger and jealousy that they just can’t escape from. I had to read this twice to fully understand what I had just read. But all I can say is WOW!!! This short story really packed a great punch in just a few short chapters.

This book was definitely not what I expected. The suspicion and drama escalated quickly culminating in a violent explosion. Although there were supernatural influences, it is a perfect example that communication is a key factor in a relationship. It is a short novel that packs a punch. There are explicit sexual content and violence therefore I do recommend for mature audiences only.

Although this book wasn’t my cup of tea it was a really well written book. It was a perfect look into what happens when you allow suspicion to take root and try to take revenge. It has some very big twists and really makes you think. Definitely didn’t see the ending coming.

Wow this is a short story but it completely blew my mind. It is a story of how jealousy and suspicion turns into to anger and revenge and the horrible consequences that could follow.
The relationship it portrays on the surface seems an unhealthy one with the mistrust and the need for them to hurt one another but underneath it all you can tell they really love each other. They just can’t stop the abusive cycle.

For a short story it is a complete one. It was a great read and I felt there was nothing missing or that the story felt unfinished in anyway. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more

I loved reading this book. This is my first book by this author and I can’t wait to see what is next for this author. This is a well written story about love and revenge. How far is someone willing to take revenge? You don’t want to miss this book. It is a shorter story that I read in one sitting. A story that is engaging and fast paced. It had me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next. A great story with great growth and I enjoyed the characters and what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book. It is a must read.

WOW! This was a short story but packed full and powerful. I have read many books by this author and this is the first I have read that is more on the erotic side. At first I felt so sorry for Ivy, was really pissed at Falcon and couldn’t stand Lantia. Then Serin crept up and grabbed my ire. At the end I was just blown away! The amount of feelings I had in such a short amount of time an from such a short story is truly amazing. This author really blows my mind. I did not see that ending coming, and now I’m on team Lantia.

Well, it’s a quick read. A tale of revenge gone wrong. It’s kind of a contemporary Romeo & Juliet erotic romance. I found the characters interesting. The Demon messing with our main characters was a twist but I did love the lesson learned of not to throw rocks at glass houses. If you like steamy romance, this is for you. Overall, an entertaining romance.

This book is a short read but very intense. Ivy and Falcon are a couple. Ivy has a suspicion that Falcon is cheating on her. When he finds out, he is enraged and everything falls apart around them. His rage makes him want revenge on Ivy for questioning his faithfulness.

This book is 18+ as there are a lot of brutal scenes.

Code Name: Vulture: Dark Vampire Romance (The Order of the Condor Series #1) by Maya Daniels & Sylvia Black

This is the first book I’ve read by Daniels, but not for Black. Knowing that Black is a part of this book makes me a happy person. Code Name: Vulture is an amazing book.

Danielle Is a curator at a New York Museum. When she spends time with an old man who is thought to be eccentric things seem to be true. She’s then kidnapped for answers, but ends up falling for her captor. The quote I chose for Danielle is: “I want to believe you. What I find hard to come to terms with is that someone betrayed my trust. That’s the only way word could have gotten out that fast, which explains how you were there to buy Condora when no one else in the art industry with enough money had a clue it would be up for auction. It also came out from an old man’s estate—a man thought to be eccentric and more than a little cuckoo, according to my friend Cara.”

Vulture is known for killing just to get his way. He never misses a mark and won’t start now. Being sent to capture the statue and the curator has him questioning things. The quote I chose for Vulture is: “I see this will take time. Your life as you know it is over, little bird, and the sooner you come to terms with it, the easier all this will be. We should start first with the rules, no?”

Highly recommended for Dark Paranormal lovers.
