Con and Neeve have gone to Ireland to help his brother, Eammon, with a perplexing case involving his fiancée. This book had me intrigued right from the start. The prologue just reaches right out and grabs you. The author’s descriptions make you feel like you are right there watching as they participate in the deed. I loved the characters. They were so well-written and the Irish landscape was described so well. Someday, I just want to visit. This story line was perfect. I loved the thrill and suspense. What did Max do? Did he really do it? How did he do it? What a thrill ride! If you haven’t gotten to imbibe in the Con and Neeve series, I would highly advise you to do it. A favoirite on my author list. Definite must read.

I have read a few of this author’s books and she continues to blow my mind. I love how she writes from both characters’ points of view. That makes me feel like I know the characters very well. This is the first book of a new series called Bound by Blood. This book is the perfect introduction to an addictive series. I could not put this book down until the end. This author knows how to keep you on your toes until the very end. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

Salvatore had a horrible childhood. He was an orphan at a very young age and just because of who he came from made him at the bottom of the family. Salvatore is now an adult and he only has one thing on his mind: revenge. He has been waiting in the shadows and now it is time. Salvatore has a very big soft spot for the girl that helped him, Serafina. She has a duty to marry to save her family and she feels a calm on who it is to the dark stranger : Salvatore for her childhood. Will the both find a way to love each other even though it is for the family or will they never find the peace they are both looking for?

Twisted Oath, by A.S. Roberts, is the first book of the series Bound by Blood and my first experience with the author. This darker style of romance had me drawn in from the very beginning. I really felt like all the story element boxes for a good, suspenseful and interesting read were checked off. The characters and plot were so brilliantly fleshed out. Serafina and Salvatore brought an intense but believable amount of chemistry and emotion to the storyline that made this very difficult to put down. If you love the mafia romance genre, this one is absolutely worth checking out. I am excited to see what comes next!

Twisted Oath is the first book in the series Bound By Blood . Holy Cow this Dark Romance is packed with drama, revenge, family drama and suspense plus so much more. I’ve read several books by this author and this one is by far my favorite yet. I found myself turning the pages as I had to know what was going to happen next. This is an emotional rollercoaster ride at times that had my heart breaking in some parts. The characters are developed yet raw and as real as they come. They made the story come to life and had me turning the pages till the end. This is Serafina and Salvatore’s story . These two have great chemistry between them and the story flows so smoothly. Get ready to be taken on quite the emotional journey with these two. I don’t want to give anything away by accident but I will say if you enjoy Mafia Romance then I recommend reading this book to find out what happens. I can’t wait for more from this Author.

Wow! Just wow. Twisted Oath was a wild ride. One I didn’t want to get off of. Being it’s book 1 of a new series though it gives me something to look forward to! The author created a world that I just want to get lost in. This book in particular focuses on two characters where lines get blurred. But the way the author navigated those blurred lines despite intentions worked wonderfully.
Twisted Oath is Salvatore and Serafina’s story. One born out of revenge for Salvatore, he intends on making Serafina’s father pay for what happened to his mother. What better way than to claim her as his. But what happens when it’s not just revenge anymore? Serafina is drawn to Salvatore, which could very well be her downfall. Despite the sorted history she refuses to give up.
Broken into 2 parts this book has a lot going on. Part 1 is a lot of growing up and letting go. While Part 2 is growing together.
Nothing is ever easy, and when you’re an important member of the Italian underworld it makes things a little harder. Constantly risking your life as well as others. However when someone comes for you and yours, that’s never taken lightly.
Salvatore is an amazing character that’s born out of anger. But the growth and acceptance throughout this story shows even those types of characters can be redeemed.
This author has me intrigued and looking forward to future books in this series. As well as other potential books they may have been written outside the series.

I knew there would be intense moments but holy cow there were so much more than I expected them to be.

Serafina and Salvatore have a very interesting journey starting when they were kids. Lots of pain and suffering by both and their families but I don’t think anything else could have happened differently without changing the entire story.

I am already in love with this group of people and I’m so looking forward to seeing everyone’s stories and how they all play out.

Twisted Oath is a Mafia Romance, with an enemies to lovers relationship. Salvatore and Serafina, even their names roll off the younger, and go well together. The first half of the book was mostly background and how they got to where they are today and then the story proceeds from there. There are some definite triggers in Twisted Oath that you should look out for before you begin reading. It doesn’t get spicy until after about 50% but there is some next level spice after that. Overall I really enjoyed this book and really enjoyed watching/reading about Salvatore and Serafina, how they work through their problems, and grow as individuals and as a couple.

In the first book of this mafia series, Roberts tells of Salvatore, once from a powerful family but unfortunately becomes an orphan. After his mother’s kidnapping, he is determined to do whatever it takes to make his way back to the top, even tarnish the reputation of others. Serafina, who is the eldest daughter of a powerful family dreams of one day becoming a doctor and helping save the lives of others. Unfortunately when things turn upside down for Serafina’s family, she must do the unthinkable to save them, taking on an arranged marriage. So many twists and turns that it keeps you wanting more. I am very eager to read more in the next installment of this series!

I was drawn into Twisted Oath when I read the very first page and pleasantly surprised that it was just as engaging throughout the rest of the story! Some series can take a bit to get into, but this one is absolutely riveting. It is a dark romance with the undertones of mafia, suspense, steamy chemistry, and angst all through this read. To say the twists took me by surprise was an understatement. I enjoyed every bit of this dark and thrilling romance with Serafina and Salvatore, though you might find yourself yelling at the book like I did at points. If you enjoy dark mafia romances, go ahead and give this a chance so that when the second Bound By Blood book comes out, you’ll be ready!

Now the MMC does have other partners while the couple is apart (which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea) but if that doesn’t trigger you dive in! He grew up without his family, she grew up wanting to change her destiny within her family. Together they may be able to get what they both want, as long as they get out of their own ways!! Great book! Can’t wait for the second!!

Twisted Oath (Bound By Blood Book 1) by A. S. Roberts. This is one of my favorite genres so I was not surprised that I loved it. Its the story of Salvatore who grew up a orphan and his one goal was to take his rightful place in his mafia family. He also plans to avenge his mothers death by getting in the family and figuring out who killed her. Serafina is on her way to become a doctor so being part of the mafia family has never really effected her. She has seen Salvatore at the beach several times over the years but they have never done more than stare at each other. Something has kind of pulls them together. When tragedy strikes she has to give up her dream to be a doctor and marry someone the Don chooses. When they marry Salvatore swears he will not fall in love with her but feelings get involved and his well laid plan may just fall apart because of that. I loved this book so much! Can’t wait to read the next one.

I don’t want to give anything away about the storyline, you simply have to read it for yourself, but expect plenty of suspense, heat, secrets and so much more. This was a great dark romance that I was infatuated with from the first sentence to the very end. You were given a strong alpha male mafia character and the girl who was his obsession from the moment he saw her. He watched her grow up in the shadows and was all she could think about. When they get arranged to be married that is when this book really began to get amped up. This was my favorite dark romance that I have read to date and cannot get it out of my head. I love the way this author wrote, and I cannot wait to read more in this series as well as others by this author!!

Twisted Oath (Bound By Blood #1)Twisted Oath by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Twisted Oath is a mafia romance, enemies-to-lovers story. The story is about Salvatore – a bastard child to a Don that has been tossed aside in the family, and Serafina a mafia princess. When the story begins, it is written about how they both met in the past and Salvatore was biding his time to be with Serafina. They had secret meetings but never spoke. Salvatore, for one, is a little older than Serafina, the enemy of her family, and planning his revenge on the situation he was put in. As a bastard child, his mother was the mistress of the Don’s son and was eventually kidnapped and killed. Salvatore planned to get into his rightful family and plan revenge on the person who took his mother. In the process, while Serafina was part of the plan, he never planned to fall for her (especially since he is evil, dark-hearted, and incapable of love). Serafina was always intrigued by the boy/man who met her on the rocks and fell in love without understanding. As the story goes on, their love story takes a turn and they are arranged to be married. Serafina has always loved him, but also never really wanted the mafia life, she wanted to save lives rather than take them. However, being the mafia princess she is – she does her duty. There are many twists, turns, and stories throughout the book – will they be able to truly love each other? Will they each be able to get to their final goals? Can they make a life with so much difficulty going on around them?
Mafia romances are one of my favorite genres and this one was a little different than the ones I have read in the past. Make sure you read your trigger warnings. In the beginning, I had a hard time keeping up with where in their story they were – each chapter is from a certain character’s point of view at a certain age, but it does pretty much go in sequential order. I enjoyed the characters. Salvatore was your typical brawny, over-protective, mafia psycho, but the changes throughout the story were great to see. Serafina I thought was a good character. She was brave, smart, kind, and loving, but also not willing to completely be run over by these mafia men. Overall, I did enjoy the progression of the story.

This is a dark Mafia Romance. I love these types of stories that are full of danger, Suspense, revenge and a hot and steamy romance and this book has all that and more.
The author does an amazing job with the characters and their story. I loved how we got a complete back story to Salvatore which really helped me understand why he was so consumed with his need for revenge. After reading about all his struggles it is easy to understand why he grew up to be the way he is.
Salvatore was orphaned and left alone and penniless when he was a child. He had to fight every day to survive. The only thing that kept fueling his drive was getting revenge on the man who put his family in that position Alessandro Giordano.
The way Salvatore saw things to get revenge he would take something Alessandro adored and destroy it. That something was his daughter Serafina.

Serafina has grown up with a very protective family. All she wants is to spread her wings and be free. So when she meets a strong powerful man who offers her exactly that opportunity she doesn’t think twice before accepting and becoming his wife. But is Salvatore the Knight in shining armour or is he a devil in disguise?
Is Serafina swapping one guilded cage for another? What happens if Salvatore’s plans for revenge change? If he falls for Serafina could he still use her in his plot for revenge against her father?
It was a gripping story that I couldn’t put down. The story was fast paced and flowed really well.

So I really wanted to love this story but honestly it was a struggle for me. My biggest issue was the marriage between the two. She was sixteen and felt the wedding night felt like child porn. Blech! I skipped past this scene. The rest is very slow moving with broody characters. All the introspect and such was just not for me. I was also expecting a lot of mafia jazz and again its very minimal. The story focuses on the connection between the two. So after all that what did I like? The family development between the two rival families. This is a good love story with angsty moments. The secondary character I really got to know them more than just a little bit. I have read other nooks by this author and really enjoyed them but this one did not fit that bill for me.

If you want in depth characters with a lot of thinking in their heads this one’s for you. I am interested in Dante and Gi’s story.

Serafina is the middle child and oldest daughter of a man in the Italian mafia. Salvatore is the bastard son of another man in the mafia. Set on revenge to avenge his mother being turned away while pregnant, Salvatore sets his mind to getting Serafina from an early age. When he finally gets her though, his hardened heart can’t help but have feelings for her.
Opinion
I love a good mafia story and this book is the first in a series of them. I believe that Roberts did a stand up job creating a world in which the mafia could in fact exist. The revenge plot is certainly something I would expect of a book in the genre.
I did have a few minor problems with the story. The way religion was addressed in certain spots irritated me in that it almost was sacrilegious. (I do realize that has more to do with my faith but my faith was brought up in the book.) I also had a problem with Serafina marrying at 16. (Again, I know this has more to do with my morals than the story but it does rub me the wrong way.)
Other than my two issues, I though the book was well thought out and it kept me captivated. My two issues will certainly not keep me from reading more in the series, as it looks to be a good series.

This book….where do I even begin?? This book totally had me captivated since the very beginning. I feel like it was a bit longer then I usually but it needed to be. There was so much going on.
Salvatore was abandoned at such a young age. His mama was taken from him by someone but he doesn’t know who. He grew up with his grandmother until she passed away. He swore he would find who was responsible and make them pay.
He had his eye on Serafina for
Many years. They would see eachother at the beach and both looked forward to catching glimpses of eachother. There’s a lot of suspense, a lot of action and a whole
Lot of heat in this book. I don’t want to give anything away but it’s so hard.
The characters are all so strong and just incredible. There are some who you will not like from the beginning. I loved how this whole book played out and ended. Family is everything. Mafia books are my
New favorite genre to read. 5+++ stars. Cannot wait to see what gem the author brings out next!

Serafina Giordano is a half English half Italian mafia princess, a girl who happens to know exactly the kind of future someone like her may have: a bargain chip to negotiate when the moment her father decides is appropiated.

Salvatore De Luca, born into a once great family, he had to earn his place in the family of his progenitor, this just so revenge can take place under the right circumstances and with the correct princess to use and discard.

A perfect enemies to lovers story that would have you wanting for more, the more you read.

I could hardly tear myself away from this book to go to bed. This book is such an intense, dark story of mafia romance. It initially starts like a dark Romeo and Juliet story and slowly transforms into what reminds me of Jax and Tara’s romance in SOA. Roberts takes readers down a dark path of the criminal mafia world from a child’s perspective as she grows into a woman and slowly, but surely, begins to understand more and more of what surrounds her. The love, heartbreak, and hope that this woman feels was transferred into me as I read her story. There are a few erotic scenes in the story as well that I think are so well placed. I was 100% addicted to this book from the very beginning and could not leave it alone until there was no more left for me! This is the first of Roberts’ books of many that I intend to read!

This book was AMAZING. I made myself put it down because I needed sleep, but trust me when I say, I was diving back into as soon as I could. The world than Roberts has built for us to experience is one that I’ve always wanted to visit. I could have crawled into this book and lived forever. Salvatore and Serafina have the kind of life that most would consider unconventional, but it seems to work for them, (most of the time) mostly because, they really have no other choice. It wasn’t so much that they CHOOSE the life, as much as that the life they grew up in was chosen for them, and they just learned to survive and in both their own ways, they also learned to love the things they couldn’t change about each other. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series. I’m so hooked!

By: A.S. Roberts

This is the fantastic start to a brand new Mafia series. It contains the perfect elements of what will become an absolutely fantastic series. It contains an absolutely unstoppable alpha in Salvatore. Partner that with Serafina being the foil to her mafia family. She wants to undo all the damage done in the only way she can. She wants to be a doctor to heal. Their paths cross and that is where the best part of the story starts. This definitely contains the best mafia parts – secrets, revenge, love, violence, twists and turns, and everything else I’ve come to expect from a good mafia story. I definitely cannot wait to see where this series goes and if Salvatore and Serafina’s story continues in the other books.

Salvatore grow up an orphan but knowing his destiny he strived to take his rightful place in the family but he has to be careful and strategic. Once all his options are in a row he announces himself to his grandfather the underboss of one of the most dangerous mafia families. Being welcomed into the fold his plan is almost complete, when he revenges his mothers kidnapping, his trophy becomes his everything.

Serafina has known her family is part of the family but it has never really affected her with her dreams of becoming a doctor she has her life ahead of her, but there is always the secret she has kept for years. He never approaches, he always stays in the shadow of the rocks of her families beach in Italy but she has a kinship to him that even she can’t explain, ut one day that all changes and she is thrown into the life of the mafia, arranged to marry someone the Don has choose, there is no option she must accept to save her family and although she vows not to love her husband she must go through with it, but when she see him the boy of her childhood a peace comes over her.

Salvatore did not want to fall in love with her but she has woven her way into his heart and he will do anything to protect her.

OMG I have read a few of AS Roberts book but this one went straight to my soul. Salvatore although a strong alpha character has a vulnerability with his total devotion to Sera and to see him pen up in the second part of the story was brilliant and beautiful to read. Sera was such a great equal to him and with her own struggles through the marriage were beautiful also to read.

The story was fast paced and well written, it held my attention till the very last word and could not get enough of it, I had to stay up and finish to see what happened in the end. I loved the secondary character with Mia and Gia being my favourite and I hope to read there stories next.

It is a fantastic tense contemporary mafia romance with intrigue, suspense, action, drama, danger, dark tones, revenge, intensity, chemistry, sizzle, connection, heartache, obstacles, secrets, lies, mafia politics, agendas, plots, pain, and so much more.
Gah! A.S. Roberts has done it again- she had me hooked right from the beginning and held me in her thrall the whole way through. She hit this one out of the park! Ms. Roberts is a talented storyteller, and this story is testament to that fact- and is another feather in her cap.
I loved everything about this story and characters (even if I wanted to throttle them at times). Serafina and Salvatore have been through so much, over such a long period of time- they really are perfect for each other. I was glued to the pages to ensure that fate did the right thing by them….. I love this first book and can’t wait to continue the series- Bring on Book #2!!!!

I am a sucker for a good mafia story, plus it is in Calabria!!! This story has everything. Secrets, revenge, love, secret love, violence, steam, twists and turns, death and all the good mafia details.

Salvatore is out for one thing and one thing only, revenge on those that stole his mother away from him. That begins and ends with the Giordianos. From a young age, Salvatore decides that he needs Serafina, the oldest daughter. Over several summers, he befriends her from afar until she is of age then he starts inserting himself in her life.

Serafina knew what kind of family she grew up in. She wasn’t completely naive. Because of it, Serafina decides to dedicate her life to healing and saving people as a doctor. When tragedy strikes, she has to give up her dreams to protect her family. Serafina finds herself looking at an arranged marriage to save the family reputation, position, and smooth over some relationships.

I want you to know that I was mad at Serafina throughout the entire first part because Nick. I couldn’t believe it. I suspected the right person with the heavy steps all along. I hated that I was right. I was happy for Mia, who was going to get her dream guy. Dante needs to talk to his sister before he takes his vengeance too far. Did I mention that the story is wonderful? I didn’t see some of the twists coming. Can’t wait for more. Fantastic.
