I honestly went into this not knowing what to expect. I was drawn to this book because the description seemed very interesting. This is a YA paranormal read and it’s very good. It’s a bit of a slow start, but it gets really good once it gets going. Because of the slower start I was a little confused about the clowns but once everything gets explained, it all makes sense.

This is my first read by this author and this book was fun! Two actors who start off as just costars, but what happens when love gets involved? Sophie didn’t plan on falling for Gil, it just happened. Will he return her love? Or friend zone her to keep things professional? This book was a fun read, but I do wish there was a little more drama to it, especially involving Emily. Good read!

This is such a cute read! A fake dating to lovers, age gap romance that is such a sweet story. Amara has been stung by love and vowed to not let herself be in that position again. Petro has been focused so much on work, he doesn’t have time to venture into dating. When the two of them are assigned to pretend to be engaged, what could possibly develop between them? This book reminded me of a Hallmark movie and it’s a very easy to read book. Even though it’s book 5, it’s a great stand alone novel and doesn’t require you to read the previous books in the series.

This was my first read by this author and it was so well written. The details in this book are so descriptive I felt transported to the time period. It’s a historical, romance, mystery all in one and it’s done very well. This book does a great job at making the time period relatable and not feel like forever ago. I love the love between Tess and Trey and can’t wait to read more from this author!

This was my first book by this author and it was okay. The storyline is very solid and I can see what the author was trying to do. However, the way it was written didn’t seem realistic to me for what took place in the book. The way the story is written doesn’t match the series of events being written about. I wish the characters conversation was more realistic to the events being talked about and the word building was stronger.

This was my first book by this author and it was such an interesting read! I’ve never read any historical novels set during the Viking era so I was a little confused at first. But after reading a good bit I was so drawn in. This book felt like a movie. I didn’t know who the killer was but I knew everyone was out for themselves. I do feel like I should’ve read the previous books to get used to the era but I still enjoyed this book.

This was my first book in the series and by this author. This is a great stand alone book that does not require the previous books to have been read. Gina’s hobby sounds like a lot of fun even though I know a lot of work goes into it. Although I didn’t love this book, I did like it. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was it was hard for me to see the love between Gina and Bryce when the lust is so high in the beginning. This is more of an “insta-lust” book instead of an “insta-love” book and that threw me off at first.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was the first book I read in the series and I definitely need to go back and read the first two. I could understand what was going on, but I know for sure I would have much more ease with a background story. This author writes in an exciting and intriguing style that will pull you in and have you wanting more. Know that this is book 3 of 5, I will be reading books 1-2 & 4-5. This is a great read in fantasy which is starting to become my favorite genre!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 4 in the series, and I can’t believe how good this series is! I’m used to series falling off after the 2nd or 3rd book. But here we are, book 4 and it’s just as good as the others. From book 1 I was hoping we would get to have a book about Elena and I’m so glad we did. The mafia world with its twists and turns is has been created beautifully in this series. I can’t wait to finish the entire series with books 5-7!

This book was a very interesting read. Lizbeth’s quest to learn about her family background made me want to look into my own! At the beginning, I was a little skeptical to where the story was going to go. But after reading further, it became very engaging. I really enjoyed seeing how the different parts of the Gordon family came to be and what happened to them.

This is the second book in this series and it’s just as good as the first. Between fantasy, romance, betrayal, and heartbreak, this book has it all. Titania is so wise and strong in her position as Queen. She doesn’t back down and always makes the best decisions regarding the kingdom. I just know as the series continues the books will continue to be engaging and so entertaining. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

This was the first book in this series that I have read. I can admit, reading the other two would’ve probably helped out a lot. However! This book can be read as a standalone book as well. Tasha and Levi have such a passionate love story between the two of them. I will definitely go back and read the first two, then this one again so I can understand the whole scope of the series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my first book by this author and about an apocalyptic world. I was so glad to read that it didn’t take place in New York like every other world ending book or movie. This is the 2nd book in the series but it isn’t hard to follow along. I must admit, Kelly, Huck & Jumper handled being survived off a pandemic that ends society much better than I would have, lol. I can’t wait to read book 3 and continue the series.

This was my first book by this author and my first Sci-Fi romance read. At the beginning I was a little confused by the language, but that’s just because I’m not used to the genre. After the first chapter I had a good handle on understanding what was going on and I am glad I kept reading! This is such a good book and intro to Sci-Fi romance! It’s an engaging story that really keeps your attention. This book has sparked an interest in me to keep reading Sci-Fi romance novels.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Books like these always pull on my heartstrings and make me wish I grew up in a small town. This is a slow burn, clean romance, but a mature one. There’s some hunting at sexual stuff but no details. CC and Brant couldn’t be a better couple. I love everyone else in the town as well. I especially love that CC has friends that don’t let her make bad decisions. This is book 3 but can definitely be read as a stand alone.

I usually shy away from this genre but I’m so glad I took a chance with this book! Not only is a sweet romance, but the historical part isn’t too much. It’s written in a way that I can understand and identity with even though it’s set in the 1880’s. I knew from the first few chapters that Jace & Cora Lee would be a good couple. I was so glad the way things turned out for Jude, lol. This author is an excellent writer that writes in a way that makes the time period seem just as exciting as today.

The writing in this book is so good. The story really flows and reels you in from the first chapter. Not only was I on the edge of my seat for the romance, but I also wanted to know what happened with the murder. This author has an excellent way of telling the story. The elements in the book might be a little dark but it’s such a good read.

This was a well written book! I liked that it was a high school setting but didn’t seem childish. I mean, yes the reasoning for what Kirsa went through was childish. But it was maturely written. I would love to see more of Rylan’s story in another book. A lot of this book reminded me of 13 reasons why but without the dark elements and an actual romance. Great read!

This is the 3rd book in this series that I have read and this author has done it again! I absolutely love this series. I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the series. Just when I think the mafia world can’t draw me in again, it does. I wondered in the previous book if I would get insight into what’s going on in Emiliana’s head and this book does just that. Emiliana’s and Stefano’s story is just as good as Lili & Max’s and Sofia & Enzo’s. I can’t wait to keep reading.

This is the second book I’ve read by this author and it was just as good as the first! This book continues on the story of Will & Tori. The topic of cancer, sickness, and death is never easy to read or discuss, but it’s done so well in this series. I found myself genuinely rooting for Will & Tori to overcome his sickness. This book is well written, entertaining, and will definitely pull on your heart strings!

I knew I would be in for a good read from the first page lol. This book started off with a banger that had my mouth open from the first few paragraphs. Caspian and Paisley have a run in and reunite after almost 20 years apart. The catch is, they reunite to have a fake marriage that lasts a year and a day. This book is a good read. I couldn’t read the pages fast enough to find out what would happen next between the two.

This was my first ever apocalyptic read and I enjoyed it. I’m beginning to love books written in the style this book is written in. It’s dual perception but not separated by chapters. The epilogue definitely leaves you on a cliff hanger but there is a warning. This was the first book of this series that I read so I’m planning on reading books 1 & 3 next!

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship (The Perfect Pairings Series Book 1)Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship by Parker Fairchild
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The story idea behind this book is very solid. But, the way it’s transcribed is a little confusing. This book would make for a great Christmas movie on Hallmark and has the same “too good to be true” Hallmark cuteness. However, the part of how Olivia meets Jace would’ve worked better for me if she had just described her soulmate instead of knowing his actual name. That would’ve helped make the story seem a little more realistic and helped it flow a little better. Nonetheless, this book is a clean, easy to read book that makes me want to snuggle up in a blanket with hot chocolate.

Blood Oath is the second book in the Mafia Elite series that I’ve read so far. No way out was so good I had to read the second. I usually don’t like books that don’t really keep the main characters as main characters but I love this series. Sofia and Enzo’s storyline is so good. From their childhood to them as adults, I really enjoyed reading about them. There’s suspense but it’s intriguing suspense that makes you want to know what’s next. I can’t wait to keep reading this series!
