Twilight’s Curse (Twilight Realm Series Book 1) by K. M. Wray – Review by Daryian Lucas

Twilight's CurseTwilight’s Curse by K.M. Wray
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Twilights curse should most definitely be adapted for a TV show or movie (only if it does it justice). This book teaches a beautiful lesson on forgiveness, the power in vulnerability, and the beauty in trusting in your own abilities. I loved the details that were used to describe every second of the book. It made imagining the storyline very easy. This YA romance was very sweet and reminded me what it felt like to be a teenager in love. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent – Review by Daryian Lucas

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Where do I begin? This book is sooo good. I knew from the synopsis somewhere in this book I would cry and I did indeed cry with Tori in so many parts of this book. This book is a slow burn romance but it’s not too intense once the burn gets going. The cliffhanger at the end made my mouth drop. I am definitely reading book two.

Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery) by Merissa Racine – Review by Daryian Lucas

Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery)Shadows of Doubt by Merissa Racine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I read the first book to this series and loved it so I decided to read the 2nd book. I made a good choice because this book was just as good as the first. I’m beginning to love suspense/mystery novels and this series is why. The book is written in 3rd person but it’s not too much. It mainly focuses on Lauren’s feelings which I like. I can’t wait to keep reading more by this author.

To be a Fae Queen (Realm Chronicles Book 1) by Tricia Copeland – Review by Daryian Lucas

To be a Fae Queen (Realm Chronicles #1)To be a Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve recently started adding fantasy novels into my TBR pile and am glad I did! This book had me hanging on to every page I read wondering what would happen next. To be so young, Titania is fierce and I loved her character. Because I’m still getting used to fantasy, the language wasn’t something I was quite used to. This is a great started book to the series.

Stand Your Ground by A. J. Ullman – Review by Daryian Lucas

Stand Your GroundStand Your Ground by A.J. Ullman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stand Your Ground was a good book! It takes on current issues that we see on the news every day. The ending did shock me. Characters who I thought were one way turned out to actually be another way and it really surprised me. The only thing I didn’t like was that it seemed like the language of the characters that lived in the hood was exaggerated.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was my first romance book that featured BDSM and boy did it take me by a surprise! This book left nothing to the imagination when it comes to describing exactly what’s going on. The only reason for the 3 stars is that this isn’t my jam when it comes to reading. The book has a strong plot, but the BDSM was a little much for me. The book did make me want to become a secret spy because of all the action that place.

Silent Gavel (A Crawford Mystery Book 1) by Merissa Racine – Review by Daryian Lucas

Silent Gavel (Crawford Mystery #1)Silent Gavel by Merissa Racine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I wasn’t aware this was a series, but I loved this book. Who I thought was the killer was not the killer which made my mouth drop. It’s written in 3rd person but the only feelings we get explanations on are Lauren’s. I enjoyed this writing style because I didn’t feel overwhelmed with information. I would love to read the next book.

Love’s Refrain (The Stardust Duet, Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Daryian Lucas

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This a very cute time travel read! When I first started the book, I wasn’t sure how the time travel was going to be incorporated. The portal through the closet was a great way to bring time travel into the story! This book was sweet, and well written. It wasn’t corny at all. I enjoyed the author’s writing style.

Wow. This book has me hooked from the introduction. I have never read a Trident Security book but after reading this book, I have to read the series. I felt like I was watching a movie reading this book, constantly wondering what’s next. Bodine’s character made my blood boil and my heart ached so badly for Callie. Definitely a great read!

Gone Country (Gone in Love) by Katrina Marie – Review by Daryian Lucas

Gone Country (Cousins Gone #1)Gone Country by Katrina Marie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely LOVED this book. From the moment Stella met Johnny, I knew this book was going to be good. It’s one of those books that I could see being turned into a movie or a TV show. Stella is trying to get a promotion at her job after working very hard for countless years. Johnny is the country hottie she meets during her newest adventure of temporary relocation. This is book 1 in the Cousins Gone series and I will most definitely be reading the other books in the series.

Fight for it by Amy L Gale – Review by Daryian Lucas

Fight for It (Sunset Cove)Fight for It by Amy L. Gale
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a cute, fast read about two people who have always had feelings for each other but neither of them ever said or did anything about it. Alyssa is recently from the town’s “it boy”, Jared, and Ray is a professional boxer. The two cross paths when Ray decides to buy an old restaurant in their hometown. What seems like fate, is almost ruined when Jared tries to get between the two. Overall, I liked this book but I would’ve liked more details about Alyssa’s brother Rick’s accident and a little more drama at the end. I would’ve liked to see Jared have more consequences as well.

DATING THE INTERN by Natalina Reis – Review by Daryian Lucas

Dating the InternDating the Intern by Natalina Reis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first book by Natalina Reis, as well as an age gap where the woman is older. I assumed this book would be very cheesy from reading the description but found out during the first few pages it’s very natural. Ivory Tower’s skepticism with love is very relatable and doesn’t seem forced or cliche. While reading the book at first I did think it was a little weird that the author repeated the character’s full name like “Li Quang” and “Amber Lee” consistently, but I found it helped the characters stick in my head. I loved this book and am looking forward to reading more by this author.
