Shadow (Devil’s Handmaidens MC: Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter Book 2) by D.M. Earl – Review by Deb Robinson

Shadow (Devil's Handmaidens MC-Book Two)Shadow by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shadows story will have you in tears and angry all at the same time. I could never imagine how someone could survive with everything she has gone through for years. Thank goodness Tink came into her life or she may not be here now. Everyone at the ranch has their own painful story but I believe Shadow (Zoey) has seen and been through the worst of the filth of humanity.

We all know from book 1 that Tink and Shadow and besties that will be there for each other no matter what. One would give their lives for the other and that is definitely tested in this book. Panther is Shadows’ fancy underwear secret. He will have her back no matter what. When Panther makes a deal to save a few girls all heck breaks loose. This is a must read.

Tink (Devil’s Handmaidens MC Book 1) by D.M. Earl – Review by Deb Robinson

Tink (Devil's Handmaidens MC-Book One)Tink by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my my, this was an amazing book. When reading the back of the book summary I had a preconceived idea of how the book would play out. I was wrong and pleasantly surprised as well.

Tink is a force to be reckoned with even though she is in a tiny package. She has a mountain on her shoulders dealing with the ranch. Her heart tears a little bit after every rescue. It’s a wonder she is coping at all. She is the Prez of the Handmaiden MC. She is the daughter of a prez as well. Everyone will need to come together to save the day.

“Noodle”, “L”, Ellington, is a Navy SEAL who is in Montana helping a Seal with an animal rescue. All military personnel have a lot of mental issues to deal with when they come home. It plays on the mind.

So much happens in this book. I was so tense when someone was coming for Tink. She is on someone’s hit list. These people are brutal. A few parts had me in chills and revolted at the same time. If you love a very suspenseful book with a definite edge, you will enjoy this book.

Please trigger warnings.

Oh my gosh…. LOVED THIS BOOK

The depth of each character was dripping from the pages. I went through every trial and tribulation, happiness, deep revenge and so so much more. I’d love to read about these characters again and see where the authors take them.

Dominic has gone from the wrong side of the tracks to a highly influential business man. He has one thing on this mind and that is revenge. He won’t stop until he gets it. His one love Juliana is gone and assumed dead but no body has ever been found. Dominic finds himself in jail for her murder.

A twist of fate has Whitney Green, a marketing agent, in the sights of Dominic when they accidentally cross paths. Whitney is dealing with some unexplained phenomena. She is hearing a voice in her head.

This story will keep you reading and won’t lose your interest at all. Please make a book 2.

This was a very interesting prequel. I’m excited to read the full story and see what happens.

Riley and her mom have been moving from place to place without any stability. Riley would love to stay in one place long enough to make friends. We don’t know why they are on the run. They do whatever is necessary to get money to survive on.

Cole and Damen are twins from the right side of the tracks and don’t have any struggles with money but are at odds when it comes to their parents. Their mom is struggling in the relationship with her husband and the boys are caught in the middle. Cole is on his moms side and Daman is on his dads side. This is all causing more friction in the household.

So much happens in this prequel to get me excited the read the story and see how everything comes together or falls apart.

This was a wonderful story of first love. Krysta (Krys) is Paxton (Tank) younger sister and she has had a crush on Kasper as long as she can remember. They both don’t want to cause friction with Paxton so they do nothing about this attraction until she turns 18. Kasper is jealous when Krys gets asked out by someone else. He can’t stand it and kisses Krys. Krysta is on cloud nine and falls fast and hard for him. The two spend months together in secret trying to decide when they should tell her brother.

This is where the story takes a twist or 2 or 3…the events that follow had me shocked.

This is a SHORT MUST READ. I absolutely loved the characters and Krysta’s bold attitude.

I loved the first book so much and didn’t think the author could top herself but I was so WRONG. I love how the characters continue into this story.

Gabe is Savage’s main man in business and best friend. He has always been loyal and trustworthy and a part of the Hawke family since he was young.

Skye Hawke is twin to Star. With the loss of Star, Skye is fighting a battle to survive without her. She is a woman who is very hard to deal with and she is very abrasive when upset. She is upset most of the time.

At the wedding of Savage and Danika, Skye’s long lasting crush on Gabe gets the best of her and she kisses him. Gabe walks away as he knows she is totally and completely off limits. They are both tormented as they navigate their feelings for eachother. Gabe is struggling with his mental health due to killing again. He is spiralling.

When Danika finds out her sister Nora has quit school and is working at Savage’s Club, she heads to the club to have a face to face with the owner. Danika has no filter when she speaks and you get her honest opinion throughout the book.

This book really surprised me. Demons, Angels, and humans and world destruction.

Sully, The Demon Hunter, has fought demons for as long as he can remember. He grew up with adoptive parents whom he loved dearly. At the age of 13, he was sent to a monastery for his protection. He was destined for so much. As the story unwinds and you follow his journey of self discovery, you find yourself wanting to know just as much as he does. It is not an easy journey by any means. He is the son of Asmodeus, a prince of Hell and with that comes danger at every turn.

Can he complete the quest he was born to complete? This was a good read and ket me reading so see what was going to happen and who was on his side and who would betray him.

I really enjoyed this book. Connor our motocross champion and Sienna the downhill skiing Golden Girl. The paralympics are coming soon and both are training their hearts out at the same closed resort. Kurt the coach has kept it on the down low that Connor is there training as well. Sienna’s mom would lose her cool if she knew.

Sienna has had every move she makes planned and monitored during her entire skiing career, she is now starting to wonder what else is out there for her to enjoy and explore.

Connor lost his leg just below the knee in a motocross accident. He is missing the speed and is looking at downhill skiing to fill that void.

Will these two put animosities aside or will it come between their dreams.

This entire series was absolutely amazing. I got my daughter hooked on it. I loved the variety of characters. I will miss all the characters as the author made them come alive in every book. It was like you were part of the family as they went through life in the mafia.

This prequel was about Marissa who we have heard about in every book but did not know her exact story. We all know she died and that the ladies were all close like sisters. I wish this prequel had been longer as I was not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet. Here’s hoping we all get to read about them again.

To the Author: This series has been an amazing ride. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the mafia books. Bravo.

Thought Provoking, Enchanting characters, Strong Females, and the Discovery of Magic. What more could you want in a book?

This author never fails to bring out so many emotions out of me as I read. She has a way of tearing my heart apart one minute and making me laugh the next.

Miranda, Neeta, and Billie are a very unlikely trio, all with varied pasts. When these three come together, they finally find people they can trust and rely on. Miranda, being a 16 year old runaway, pretending to be 18 years old, finds herself in New Orleans after discovering she has magic powers. With the news showing many females are suddenly acquiring magic she is terrified to be caught. Women are disappearing and being reported to authorities. No one knows where they are going or what is happening. When a new character is introduced you are on the pins and needles wondering if something terrible is about to happen.

I was totally swept into the story as the characters and surroundings are so full of depth. When the author describes the rug in the motel room, my toes actually curled and I lifted them off the floor.

I loved reading this book to my grandson. He always loves how vibrant the illustrations are. His birthday is coming up so this book grabbed his attention right away. This book is about a birthday surprise. Surprises are fun at any age. He checks under his bed and finds 2 boxes. What will be in them this year? He opens them both. He finds a hat and stone. He puts the hat on and can suddenly hear what others are thinking. He puts the stone in his pocket. Read the book to find out how the magic hat and stone help him.
