My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars!

I have loved every book I have read by Jane Suen. They are not my usual genre but for some reason I get pulled right in.
This was such a sweet book watching Mary Ann and Connor find their way back to each other. I enjoyed reading the character of Mary Ann, she is a strong yet because of a rough past with her stepdad she doesn’t trust very easily. Connor kind of irked me at some points, and I had trouble deciding if I really wanted Mary Ann to be with him again.
I love a good second chance romance, so this story was great for me, and I would highly recommend this book, and every book by Jane Suen really. This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the others in the series.

This is a suspenseful rollercoaster of so many emotions. There is a romance in the story, but the other side of the story is so much more.

Shannon is a district attorney, working for her ex husband. When she wrongfully convicts the wrong woman. Things just feel wrong. Her husband told her to drop it. What’s done is done. Being the woman Shannon is, she needs to make things right. But with everything, doing what’s right has its consequences. This made be the fight of her life. I never expected the outcome!

Meghan O’Flynn had me on the edge of my seat on page one. Her story is a non stop ride of epic proportions. I have never cried so hard, while reading a book. This one just kept bring the intrigue. I could not put it down. Okay I put it down at 3:30 in the morning. Then I sat and pondered over what I had just read. Cried a little more, then fist pumped at Shannons bravery and strength. Such a great story. If you like suspenseful stories this one’s for you. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Absolutely no doubt about it this is on my list of favorite series ever…Detective Petrosky is one of my favorite characters ever as well and I can say that after reading this whole series so far..I can also say that Ash Park is probably my least favorite book town, definitely would not want to live there.

I read these totally out of order which you can do, but I have to say I can not wait to take a weekend and sit and read them all over back to back and in the correct order.

This author closely rivals some authors out there that everyone has heard of and in some ways there is no comparison, she is a master of this genre, which is one of my favorites.

It took me a bit to figure out Famished, I have to say that reading these out of order kind of helped reading the first one, but from there on Holy Mackerel! Not going to say these books were always easy to read because they weren’t, had to skip parts, and put the book down here and there and walk away, which means the author has done her job in my opinion.

I loved the first 3 books in this set, my favorite book actually comes later on in the series and I have to say if you in any way like this genre you will love these books!

Can’t wait for more!!!

This is a full length novel you won’t want to miss. Not for those under 18 due to violence. This is a no spoiler review!

Ash Park holds secrets nobody wants to hear or live through. Detective Petrosky daughter was murdered many years before, and her murder is still a mystery. In the last 5 years Detective Petrosky has worked these murder cases. Each seemed to be linked to one serial killer. Each murder has many avenues to be traveled. That is what reading this thriller interesting. You should really start with the first book in the series. It will help with what happened in this book. If you have then just know it’s more intense than the last.

This the 6th book in this series, has once again made my heart race. This story keeps you locked in, until you read the last page. Meghan O’Flynn has written this fast rollercoaster of a thriller. She has kept some characters and added a few new ones. All the same this is a fantastic read. It will give you many feels throughout this story. The strongest being this killer must be stopped! Way to keep me on the edge of my seat Meghan O’Flynn! I can’t wait to read the next book to this series

By K.G. Fletcher
5 out of 5 stars

The story A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts Book Three) by K.G. Fletcher is the third amazing book in a series. It pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that I just couldn’t put down. I loved reading about the characters of Fiona Merrill and Chris Ballard. Fiona is a woman who doesn’t need money however finds that she can’t find the right one to begin a relationship. She gets an idea after seeing Chris and makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Chris is someone who would rather spend time fixing up his farmhouse than going to VIP events, however with the amount of money that Fiona is offering he agrees to her plans. They are posing as a couple in front of the city’s elite. It soon becomes clear that their arrangement is becoming more than just business. Chris wants to quit pretending and become a couple for real. Is Fiona ready to take that step? What does the future hold for Fiona and Chris? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about Fiona and Chris with each chapter that I read. Fiona is a woman who many would find cold and pampered however Chris is falling for her as he sees small glimpses of the caring woman she can be. There are other characters that interact with Chris and Fiona that I enjoyed reading about. This book had me misty-eyed and also with a smile on my face. It is a story that gives you a warm feeling and I found myself rooting for Chris and Fiona to find happiness. Don’t miss out on a wonderful romance story. I highly recommend it.

Second Chance by Jane Suen is the third and final book in the The Flowers in December Trilogy. This can be read as a standalone but I think better enjoyed if read with the other two books. Connor and Mary Ann had parted ways but Connor is back in town. Will Mary Ann allow Connor back into her life. This is a happily ever after but the two have to go over some obstacles to get there. This is a sweet small town romance which will have you rooting for the couple to find their path together. I enjoyed the characters and the progression of their story over the course of the series. I look forward to reading more from Jane Suen in the future.

This is the third book in this series and my favorite yet. This is an author I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up by her. I love being pulled into the story right from the beginning and this book is just that. This is a well developed story that I read in one sitting. Her characters bring the story to life and made me feel part of the story. What will happen when Fiona, a billionaire heiress, gets more than she bargained for with a deal she made with Chris. I highly recommend this book to find out just what Fiona is in for.

Naomi (Maggie Trilogy Book 2) by Mya O’Malley. Once again this author blows me away with her words. From page one we’re taken on a journey that our main character Naomi won’t soon forget. Each character brings something unique to the storyline and you can’t help but connect with them. This story quickly captured my attention and I couldn’t put it down once I started. I do recommend you reading them in order so as to not have any confusion a long the way. Naomi may be one of my favorite characters this year. It’s a well thought out story and well written. I loved this book. Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars all the way.

Chris Ballard lives with his mother, biding his time until he can save enough money to completely renovate his crumbling farmhouse in upstate New York. An opportunity for some quick cash is a no-brainer, and with the amount of money Fiona offers him, he is eager to agree to her scheme.

In a world of have and have nots, posing as the next Manhattan power couple is the easy part. Things become challenging when Chris dares Fiona to go deeper than what her pampered life style offers. Recall: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 6) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez

Recall: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 6)Recall: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Recall: An Ash Park Novel is the 6th in the series by Meghan O’Flynn, but the first one I read. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone novel, but has references to things that happened in the past. The book is written in a way that you can feel the importance, without knowing the details that would come from reading the previous books. The past of Detective Petrosky weighs on his current state, but again, I didn’t know the details and did just fine. The characters personalities are great, and play off each other well. This story draws a wobbling line between doing what is right and doing what is just. A young man was murdered, right in front of his girl friend. To create more outrage, he is the son of a councilman and the couple was interracial. There are no witnesses, and the detectives have no leads. They struggle to determine if it was a random attack, serial killer, or hate crime. I love the way the story unfolded, as it seemed to come out of no where. It didn’t fully click until the end of the book, and then once they knew who the killer might be, they had to find him. Total thrill and I didn’t want to put it down. I want to go back and read the others now, because I am sure they are just as gripping.

Singles and Other Singularities (The woman Scientist Trilogy 2- The Italian Saga Book 8) by Gaia B Amman – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

Singles: ...And Other Singularities (Woman Scientist Trilogy 2, The Italian Saga)Singles: …And Other Singularities by Gaia B Amman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Singles And Other Singularities is the second book in Gaia B Amman’s Woman Scientist trilogy, a continuation of her Italian Saga. The Saga follows the life of Italian scientist Leda as she grows up. At this stage in the story, Leda is settled in Buffalo conducting research under the unforgiving guidance of Dr Scrui. Working hard to keep up with the constant demands of her studies, Leda is also involved in an array of romantic dramas.
With a series like this, it is hard not to get attached to the protagonist. The story is told from her perspective, mixing first person narration with epistolary emails and the poetry Leda is writing. This keeps things varied and the emails are a great way of keeping us up to date with what’s going on back in Italy!
Like in the other books, there’s a huge amount of romantic drama in this book. It’s not all Leda’s own drama – with many friends confiding in her she gets tangled up in their dreams and woes as well. With the stress of her academic work, and an ill sister to worry about, Leda really needs stable friendships she can rely on which is hard with all the drama.
For me, this is a four star book. It’s similar in tone to the Adrian Mole series – if you liked that you’ll love this! It was great reading about Leda’s childhood in Italy and seeing her getting to grips with American culture is very entertaining.

The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3) by Meghan O’Flynn
Five Stars

Famished: An Ash Park Novel is the first book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. This is my first book by this author and I’m really glad I found her. This is a great first book in the series, very intriguing and hooked me on the very first page. This psychological thriller had some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. The story is gritty and gruesome as the author got into the mind of the serial killer. This novel is not for the faint of heart and if you have a weak stomach this may not be the book for you, but if you like to get into the mind of a sadistic killer this is the perfect book for you.

Conviction it the second book in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn. This series can be read as a standalone, but there are recurring characters from Ms O’Flynns first book. The series has gotten off to a wonderful start and I can’t wait to read what is coming next in this series. This book drew me in from the very first page,it was full of mystery and suspense. I love a story where I really don’t know who the killer is until the very end, and this book provided that. Ms. O’Flynn weaves tales of lies and deception. Shannon Taylor is a fascinating character, she is a District Attorney who is all about getting convictions even if the people she is putting away are innocent. She takes care of her family and it’s stress on herself to succeed. When the detectives from the first book come to talk to her and convince her she may have made a mistake she feels remorse, but now someone is leaving her threats. Will she be able to find out the truth of the situation before it is too late?

Repressed is the third book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. This series keeps getting better and better. This book is full of twists and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. This book and the series is not for the faint of heart, some of the scenes are quite gory. The mind bending story will leave you with a book hangover for days to come. I highly recommend this chilling psychological thriller and can’t wait for the next book in the series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Recall is the sixth book in the Ash Park series. I was able to pick it up and keep up with the story without having to read the previous ones.

The author does a great job making the story come alive. It feels like you are right there with the characters. The story is dark. You are not going to get a light, fluffy mystery here. As you read, you are taken on a thrill ride of adventure, with twists and turns that make the book impossible to put down.
The characters are well-written. I particularly like Petrosky’s partner. She’s snarky and deals with his gruff exterior expertly.

I can’t say too much more without jeopardizing the reading experience for everyone. Just know that you won’t be disappointed when you go on this reading adventure.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Naomi by Mya O’Malley is the second book in the Maggie Trilogy. It can easily be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading Maggie first to get Naomi’s entire back story. Wanted or not, Naomi seems to attract spirits with unfinished business. She does what she can to help them pass over, but this time the spirit seems to have a personal vendetta against Naomi. Worse yet, this new spirit is interfering with Naomi’s personal life and making her doubt even herself. I think I enjoyed Naomi more than I did Maggie. I loved getting Naomi’s fiance, Bryce’s, POV and seeing their relationship grow. If you’re looking for a suspenseful but heartwarming read, this is it!

Second Chance (Flowers in December #3)Second Chance by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Second Chance is the third and final instalment in the Flowers in December trilogy by Jane Suen. I really enjoyed the first two books, so I was really happy to find that the third book had arrived. It is everything I could have hoped for as the conclusion to Connor’s story. A lot has happened since we met him back in book one.
This sweet story is all about second chances- with a very realistic and believable storyline. Ms. Suen definitely saved the best till last, as this is my favourite of the three books, for sure.
Even though you could read this story as a standalone, I really recommend reading the first two books before beginning on this one- as all the backstory and other relevant information is contained in those books.
As with the other two books, Ms. Suen had me hooked quite quickly and kept me engaged the whole way through. It is a short story, which makes for a quick and easy read. For such a short story, it definitely leaves an impression.
Looking forward to what ever Ms. Suen decides to do next!

Thank you, Ms. Suen!

Naomi (Maggie Trilogy Book 2) by Mya O’Malley – Review by Karyn Taylor

NaomiNaomi by Mya O’Malley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Naomi is the 2nd book in the Maggie Trilogy by Mya O’Malley. I would 100 % recommend that you read book 1, Maggie, before reading this book. Although the mystery surrounding Maggie is solved in Book 1, this book is a continuation of Naomi’s own personal story and there is so much necessary information in the first book.
This book is a paranormal thriller/romance but unlike the first book where the ghosts were friendly and helpful, this time round the ghost is menacing and dangerous. Naomi’s past has come back to haunt her…literally. The ghost of Naomi’s ex-boyfriend Nick has come back to haunt her and he’s even more menacing and horrifying as he was when he was alive.
Nick’s return puts much strain on Naomi’s relationship with fiancé Bryce which is then further strained with the return of Bryce’s ex-wife Genna who is the mother of his daughter Holly.
This is such a well written paranormal thriller. Like book 1 I was dragged into the story from the very start and did not want to put this book down. It is a sit at the edge of your seat, heart in your mouth read. Again, like the first book the author throws in a few curveballs that come totally out of the blue and have you reeling.
I would definitely recommend this series to others and I can’t wait to read the final instalment of this exciting trilogy.

Set it Free (Fallen Eagles MC Book 3)Set it Free by T. Birmingham
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

While is a sad thought provoking story there were many times I just wanted to quit.
I was really looking forward to reading this because the last two were so good. This one seems too internally focused for me. Too much thinking in the head about why she does what she does or why he is the way he is. I really didn’t need half a book on it. Addiction is terrible. I got where she was early on and his thought process early on. I just wanted the book to move forward. This part of the story seemed to overtake the rest of the story.

I do love her family and those MC boys. There are happier times with her sisters and the people from the MC. I loved the second part of the story much better. That one of full of laughter, kidnappings and lots of shenanigans. Casper does have a great personality. I get he uses that as a cover sometimes but the most amazing things come out of his mouth. He really can make me laugh.

The story rounds out nicely and it shows how everything comes back around. Overall it was just an ok book. Sorry. I just wasn’t riveted to the pages like the last couple. The story though is a good one.

Singles: …And Other Singularities (Woman Scientist Trilogy 2, The Italian Saga) by Gaia B. Amman. This author knows the meaning of emotional roller coaster, this isn’t the first one I’ve been on with this author and I’m definitely hoping it’s not the last. The author knows how to write characters readers can connect with and root for. The writing style is smooth and well thought out. The story world that’s been created is one I love to visit. From page one I knew I was in for a journey and I loved every single minute of it. The story is paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The characters truly draw you into their world and take a little piece of your heart along the way. I’m becoming quite the fan of the author and this Trilogy. I’m excited to see where the author takes us readers next. Four stars and highly recommended.

It may be a smaller size book but it doesn’t hold back any. Five stars all the way.
