This was my first book by Amy McKinley. It won’t be my last. I found another favorite author! This book stole me the second I started reading it. I couldn’t put it down. Adeline Rossi is our main female character. She’s a head strong, smart, driven female who knows what she wants in life. Is set in her way of not “ending up like her mom”, and feeling like she missed out on her goals in life. Stone Crenshaw is our main male character and he’s a business tycoon who is a workaholic. They have an interesting meeting. While pretending to be engaged, things start to boil. This is unlike any other “fake fiancé” books I’ve read. Absolutely recommend and can’t wait to find more books by Amy McKinley.

Urban Justice is another phenomenal book by India Kells. This is the second book in the Chicago Vigilantes series, a series that should be read in order as this book follows the first. This author never ceases to amaze me with all of the detail, which makes it so easy to picture everything playing out in my mind, keeping me highly entertained the whole way through.
I loved Sloane and Luke’s story and being able to follow along in their action-packed journey filled with so much character development. The two headstrong characters had me on my toes the whole way through constantly guessing how it would all play out, and I couldn’t be happier with how it ended.
If you’re looking for an action packed read with never a dull moment, steamy scenes and great characters look no further this is the series for you! I promise you will not be disappointed.

I am a huge fan of Mark Nolan’s; his writing abilities are absolutely incredible. I had previously read the third book in the Jake Wolfe series and loved it so I knew I had to start the series from the beginning and I am so glad I did!
Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is a phenomenal thriller read. From the very first chapter I was hooked! I found the characters really easy to connect with and the storyline was highly entertaining. It’s action-packed, intense, funny and incredibly detailed, a real page turner. I loved all the thought that went into this series, it’s truly one of a kind! I can’t wait to dive into the rest of this series.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for their next thriller read!

First We Kill All The Lawyers by Seelie Kay is the first book on the Donovan Trait series. This is quite a suspenseful story and it one that will absolutely grab your attention from page one! The author has really managed to keep this book interesting the whole way through. She throws in so many twists and turns that you are racing to get through it to find out how it will all end. I loved the main character as well. I thought he was such a well developed character it was so easy to connect with him. I wanted to read more about him even after thy r book had finished. This is a strong start to a new series and I am already excited to see what will be next!

Urban Justice by India Kells is the second book in the Chicago Vigilantes series. This is a fantastic follow up to the first book and was just as gripping a read! The book was intense and fast paced from start to finish. This is the type of book that you just have to read in one go because you just can’t put it down. At times it honestly felt like the pages just turned themselves. It was great to get back to these characters and their stories. They are intriguing and work so well together. It was brilliant to see their relationship developing throughout this story. India Kells has become one of those authors that I don’t question whether or not to get the book it is just a given that I will. She has an excellent writing style that really engages you as the reader. This is a fantastic series and one I would highly recommend.

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is the first book in the Jake Wolfe series. The story line is intriguing. There is a good amount of action and suspense as you read. I love the addition of the dog as an integral part of the book. That being said, there are a few places where the story is slowed a little by some filler that could have been cut and still left a superb adventure. Overall, a good read.

TRIGGER WARNING! This is the first book I’ve read by Willink and it won’t be my last. This book is very clear about a trigger warning and for that I am glad. This book will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat.

So the story focuses around marital abuse and at times my heart broke when I was listening to this it was so gut-wrenching. From very early on you know exactly what it is going g to be happening in this book. I feel like the author handled it really well and respectively and sensitively too. I really like that the author tackled these topics and it was written really well.
The narrators of the audiobook did a fantastic job with this story and really brought it to life and also handled it with such care.
I always love a good a Vampire book, and Donovan Trait is great he is a 300 year old Vampire who just happens to be a Lawyer, he is confident, Hot and Charismatic. But there is someone who wants his blood, he is top of their hit list of all the Lawyers they want dead. But when they try to kill Donovan and he doesn’t die will they realise his secret? This story had me hooked from the start, its well written and there is some great characters also a bit of romance.

I loved that this book had us traveling back and forth in time. From the times of Prohibition to 2020, we’re thrown into a murder mystery that’s unlike any other. I love that the author’s personal settings happen to be thrown into these stories as well. Logan is also balancing a private life with her professional life which we know can be tough for her. This book is multilayered in numerous ways but the author definitely gets the reader to think about a lot while indulging in a murder mystery. These kinds of stories do wonders for my memory and for a new way of thinking.

This was a great story that kept me gripped from the beginning. It is a faced paced paranormal story. I loved the characters. They are very easy to connect to and well written.
Donovan is a well known lawyer. Not only is he well know but he is the best in the business. No one stands a chance against him in a court room, but Donovan has a secret. He’s a 300 year old vampire.
There is someone out to kill all the lawyers to write a wrong. The first one on their hit list is Donovan but after several attempts Donovan won’t die.
Why won’t he die? Will the killer figure out his secret and reveal just who he is? Or will Donovan figure out who is trying to kill him and end this persons plans?

Bake Believe is a pretty cool book which reminded me of this Netflix show “Just Add Magic”. This is a book on similar lines where the main character gets a family gift she never imagined. The gift is that whatever emotion she feels as she bakes is infused in her creation. This adds more fire to her already raging teenage problems and leads to comic consequences. I loved this book, it has a dash of magic, humor and innocent school day romance. To top it all, the detailed recipes are a huge bonus. My son is into baking and the recipes in the book are quite elaborate for him to try out. I absolutely adored this book!

Unwrapped was the perfect addition to my Holiday reading lineup! This story is written by Evelyn Sola and this is my first time ever reading a novel by her. Immediately I found myself wrapped up in this story and unable to put it down. Within the first chapter I both felt sorry for, and laughed at Nick, whom is the boss of Mona, whom is the mom of Miranda, whom is the narrator of this story. I found this story had many laughs, lots of suspense, an excellent amount of heartache, and just enough steamy romance. This entire story is based around the Christmas Holiday, and I just adored how much tradition was packed into it. I loved that every single character was likable and obviously flawed. This story is meant to be a standalone novel, and is targeted at mature audiences. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick holiday romance! 4 stars!

And this time was just another fine example of why she’s in my top favorite authors. Once again I found myself completely drawn in and and I couldn’t put this story down any easier than the others. This one is just as amazing as book one. The characters are complex and so easy to connect with. The storyline is engaging and unique you can’t help but read it in one sitting because trust me you’ll tell yourself to quit but you won’t be able to. Each character brings something different to the storyline and they truly make this an awesome story. You’ll be happy to get lost in these pages for a while trust me. Lies That Bind: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 6 (Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson. I can’t get enough of this series. Just when I think it can’t get any better this author proves me so wrong. I love getting lost in the pages of this series. Without fail the storyline and characters draw me into this world created with words and I have the hardest time leaving when I reach the end. I love a story that keeps me guessing and that’s exactly what I know I’ll be getting when I pick up a book from this series and author. The characters are so easy to connect with and I’ve definitely developed a fondness for each one over this series. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Oh my this book is good! I love a good mystery and this book definitely gives you that. The characters are wonderful and they make such an impression you think they are jumping off the page. This was my first read by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. This book isn’t for everyone it definitely has some hard issues brought up that may be difficult for some. I love books like this which may seem weird but I love when the characters aren’t shiny and new. I love tough characters that go through heck and back and can still be ok in the end. This book had me completely hooked from start to finish. The characters are complex and relatable, you can’t help but root for them. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

This is the third book in this series, I enjoyed it just as much as the previous two books. This authors writing style is very creative and I was pulled in from page one. The charcters are likeable and I liked the fast pace of the story that kept things interesting throughout the whole book. Emotionally wrecked. It left me emotionally wrecked. Heed the synopsis and trigger warnings. All that out of the way – the author does a brilliant job weaving this story realistically and respectfully. I was consumed by this story, by these characters. I get almost to a painful degree the scars on full display in these pages. I cannot say enough by how moving this story was. Just completely overwhelming and heartbreaking and amazing.
If you enjoy an intriguing story with a great balance between romance and suspense, this box set is a must own. Dunn does a fantastic job in this series and once you start book one you will want them all. Great characters, great plot pacing. Just the right amount of suspense and romance – not too much of either but just enough to keep you completely enthralled. Highly recommend!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and this latest installment from Davisson is another suspense filled page turner. I continue to love reading Logan‘s escapades. I appreciate the character development with the side plot of her family relationships and intertwining with the latest mystery. A story that kept me reading until the last page. The Bullet Theory (Dr. Nolan Mills, #1) by Sonya Jesus This book pulled me in and broke my heart within the first couple of chapters.
Eleanor is a police officer and when she was called in to help with a case she didn’t realize how much it would change her life. Now she’s trying to move forward and she has set her mind to helping her fiance work on a case, but not for the reason he thinks. She agrees to go see a counselor, this is where she meets Nolan.
Nolan is a psychiatrist who Eleanor believes may have files on the proxy killer and she wants to get her hands on them. Will Eleanor get the revenge she is seeking?
Overall this was a thrilling read, the author pulls you right in. All of the characters added a great element to the story. There are some very emotional scenes that had me ugly crying. The pain that Eleanor went through, no one should ever have to experience. If you’re looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today on this one. The Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink is an emotional reading. Be forewarned there is a trigger warning concerning domestic violence. The story deals with domestic violence and how we do not really know what goes on behind closed doors. What might appear to be a fantasy, fairy tale life might actually be a horror-filled life. The book focuses on the characters Gianna and Derek. I enjoyed getting a different POV because it tells so much more about the story. This book is well written and the story and characters are thought out and engaging. I did not want to put it down because the characters had so much at stake. This is an engrossing story and handles a difficult subject beautifully. There is so much to say just about the title which speaks to the actual story. I look forward to reading more from this author in the near future.
Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie: A Gripping Thriller (Jake Wolfe Book 1) By Mark Nolan
This book drew me in from the beginning. I found this story to be full of action, suspense, humor, twists and turns, and wonderful characters including Cody the dog. There is a lot going on in this book but it all flowed nicely so you aren’t confused in any way. Even though this story is a little long I kept finding myself not wanting to put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. This book kept me entertained and at the edge of my seat at times. The author did a great job in writing with vivid detail. This is a good mystery novel that I recommend reading.

The loss of loved ones is extremely painful for many. Losing a child to murder is something unfathomable for parents. In The Bullet Theory, Sonya Jesus writes about such loss from the views of Eleanor Devero and her therapist Nolan Mills.
Eleanor is a former suspect interrogation specialist that is on unpaid leave after she was shot in an undercover investigation. Eleanor was pregnant and lost the baby. Three months later finds her fiancé, Kace Dalton, attempting to get her to move forward. Eleanor resents how he appears fine despite her attacker not being identified, and the loss of their unborn son. She is not allowed to return to work until she is deemed fit by a psychiatrist.
Nolan Mills is a psychiatrist working on a government project that is attempting to find the likelihood of family members of murder victims taking revenge upon verified murderer. He becomes extremely interested in Eleanor’s case when he becomes her therapist. As the book progresses, Eleanor begins to undergo emotional changes that make her fiancé hopeful.
Meanwhile, despite therapy, Eleanor secretly wants to find “The Bullet Man”. Labeled by police as a serial killer, the mystery man has solved several of the cold cases. Using several couriers, the families of murder victims receive a package with a bullet with the name of who killed their loved one as well as evidence to support the claim. Eleanor wants to find the “Bullet Man” to see if he can help her find her attacker.
What plans does Eleanor plan if she discovers the person responsible for the loss of her baby? Can Nolan break through the wall that she has put between herself and Kace? Who is the “The Bullet Man” and how does he or she get the information for police cold cases?
