This is the second book I’ve read by the author. Luke is another amazing book. So far the Default Distraction Series is amazing. I will be on the lookout for more.
Luke has had it hard his entire life. In comes Nikki and she changes everything. Luke is nostalgic and thinks of someone from the past. The quote I chose for Luke is: “She could have had it with us.”
Nikki is one of the few who get to get close to members of Default Distraction. When she catches Luke’s eye things change. The quote I chose for Nikki is: “Would it work if I said I wasn’t hungry?”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Cade is a good book and I can’t wait for the other books. The author did an amazing job and I’m looking forward to the other books.
Winter is a manager from her brother’s band. She has caught the eye of one of the band members. She can’t let herself fall for him or things will go bad. The quote I chose for Winter is: “Don’t flatter yourself, you wouldn’t have the skills to satisfy a woman like me.”
Cade is a cocky one and he knows it. He likes Winter, but doesn’t want to lose his bad boy status. When things change between them they change all the way around. The quote I chose for Cade is: “I didn’t know you had a stutter, Winter. I could train you not to have one…In fact, I think there are many ways I could help you.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
Cade is the third book in the Default Distraction series. Cade is the drummer of a popular U.S. rock band called Default Distraction. He is a bad boy that’s used to getting what he wants and has never been scared to go after anything in his life. As the drummer of a popular rock band, he is used to women falling all over him and being able to pick and choose whoever he wants. Then suddenly everything changes when the lead guitarist’s little sister re-enters his life. Cade falls hard for her and wants her, but she wants nothing to do with him; or so she says.
Cade is so used to having women fawn all over him that he finds it hard to take no for an answer from Winter who is not easily impressed by his rock band popularity. Winter turns him down at every turn, but Cade won’t take no for an answer. He doesn’t know what it is about her, but he is drawn to her like a moth to a flame. As hard as he pushes her to fall for him, she continuously turns him down and pushes him away. What Cade doesn’t realize, and Winter won’t admit, is that she finds it harder and harder to resist him. The chemistry and sexual tension between Cade and Winter is intense. Cade will stop at nothing to make Winter his girl. He knows what they have is real but it’s going to take a lot of convincing. Winter is hardheaded and comes across as being cold-hearted. She refuses to let her guard down and is purely focused on running her business and making a success of herself. She can’t let any man gets in her way and stop her.
This book was intense and hard to put down! I became completely absorbed into the story and the lives of Cade and Winter. The relationship between them appeared hostile yet the sexual tension between them was undeniable and mind blowing. I had to keep reading to find out if either was ever going to let their guard down and let the other one in. Both have their own heartbreaking backstories and fear getting hurt. They both come across as tough but deep down it is because they’ve put a wall around their hearts so that they don’t get hurt. The story was one that I could not put down until I had finished reading the final page to see if there was going to be a happy ever after between Cade and Winter.

Luke is the fourth book in the Default Distraction series. From the first page this book hooked me, and I was eager to learn more about who Luke was. Luke is a man that knows little about his past or where he came from. His early life is quite tragic, and because of that he feels like there’s a piece of himself that’s missing. Luke’s rock band, Default Distraction, is highly successful but no amount of money, fame, fortune, or fans can replace the piece of Luke that is missing. Despite his early beginnings, he is determined to become a better person and to give his young daughter the life that he never had. Luke is determined to be there for his little girl and always protect her and wants his daughter to know the sense of having family and belonging.
Nikki has had a quite different upbringing than Luke and comes from a very close-knit family. Suddenly tragedy strikes and her world is turned upside down. Nikki is now broke, jobless, and no longer feels as though she knows who she is. To provide for herself and her family Nikki takes on the job as nanny for Luke and his young daughter.
What nobody expects is for the sparks to fly between Nikki and Luke. Nikki doesn’t want to risk losing her job or losing the little girl that she has come to love so she tries to deny her attraction to Luke. The chemistry is something that Luke also feels but tries to deny because he does not want to risk losing the woman that his daughter has come to love. The risks are too great for both Nikki and Luke and there is too much at stake for them both to lose. Yet, it is hard to deny the chemistry and attraction between the two of them. Will they risk losing everything to be together?
Luke had great characters in it, and I loved learning more about the backstory of the character of Luke. It is very well written and is a story unlike most others. Although it could be a standalone book and read on its own, I would recommend reading the other three books in the series first.

Is it worth the risk of losing her job to give in to her attraction?

I loved every minute of this book i love nothing more then a second chance storyline, it goes to show when feelings and love is that strong there is a way back. I love how much depth and emotions was in this novel it really had me captivated i just couldn’t put it down. Also what this book make you realise is no matter how much you fight against your feelings you alwayd end up following your heart in the end especially when you know its meant to be and in this story that is the case. Such a beautiful novel which i highly recommend reading it can be read as a standalone but i do think its best to read the 1st novel first.
Rafferty by A.S. Roberts is the second book in the phenomenal romance series Default Distraction. This is a series I would suggest reading in order and not as a standalone.
I completely devoured this series and ended up reading it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop. I loved all of the detail and all of the emotion throughout the storyline. I also loved how the author kept me on my toes with the twist and turns that Lauren and Rafferty had to go through.
I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

I have read a couple of books from this talented author but she continues to blow my mind. This is the first book to Default Distraction series and wow what a great start. I absolutely love rock star romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. I was hooked to this story right from the beginning. It only took me a day to devour this incredible book.
Brody Daniels had a very hard childhood but now he is the lead singer of a huge rock band. He has it all money, women, and fast cars but he feels like something is missing. Brody wants something real. He knows that all his fame can be taken away. Brody is out for a walk to clear his head and he comes across this cute shop. He can’t help but to go inside. Brody meets the beautiful Amy Harper. He is shocked at how he feels for her. Brody can’t get enough of Amy. They get to know each other and they quickly realize they might have found the one. Will Amy be able to be in the spotlight like Brody or will it be too much for this small town girl? Will Brody convince Amy to take a chance with him or will his past try to destroy it all?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, doubts, forgiveness, and love. You can’t help but to fall in love with these characters. Brody is a hot rockstar but deep down he wants the simple life. He loves what he does and he doesn’t take it for granted. The way he treats Amy will make your heart melt. Amy is a sweetheart. She loves her shop that she shares with her grandma but she wants something more. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. Brody by A.S. Roberts is the first book in the Default Distraction series. If you like all things music and rock and roll then this is definitely a book for you. Surely if you have everything anyone could dream of then you must be happy, right? Wrong. At least it is for Brody Daniels, lead singer of the chart topping US rock band Default Distraction. He is bored of the lifestyle, of the cars, the money, the women. But more than anything he is bored of the pretence. Of convincing everyone that he is happy all the time. He wants something more from his life. Something more than he can get from the music and the fame. Amy Harper on the other hand definitely has something more. She has more debt than he will ever have. She has more struggles with her business than he will ever have. And she has definitely had more than enough of it all. So what happens when the two of them meet? What happens when their worlds collide? Can they go back to their realities? Or can they push for something more, together? This book has everything you could possible want. Hot rock star? Check. Strong woman? Check. Of the charts chemistry? Double check! I absolutely loved Brody and Amy together. I felt their connection and their chemistry from the instant they met. I found myself being swept away by their attraction. And this book wasn’t all about the connection. The story was such a good one because it was so relatable – we have all at one point or another wanted something more than we had. Even if we should have been happy with what we had. The writing keeps pace with this story beautifully and really holds your attention. Anyone who wants to be swept away needs to buy this book immediately.

Who doesn’t love a good Rocker Book, and let me tell you, Default Distraction series. Brody is book one by A.S. Roberts and she does NOT disappoint AT ALL!
Default Distraction is the leading band in the US and they all can have anything and everything money can buy them. Brody who is the lead singer in the band loves his band and loves his lie but he is craving something so much more than just fame. He and his bandmates decide to remodel a hotel in a quaint village and one day while running, she sees a beautiful women and right away he feels drawn to her. Amy lives with her Nan and works in her shop. Brody comes into her shop one day and she notices that his accent is English, and when she finally she’s knows she has never seen someone as handsome as him or someone whose voice awakens something inside her. Amy has been hurt in the past and Brody has never wanted someone to see him for him as he does with Amy. Follow these two on a path that will not disappoint.
I highly recommend this book, there is never a dull moment and the sparks with Amy and Brody will leave you speechless. Roberts has given us a rocker romance like no other have read. Her words simply drag you into the story and don’t let you go. The other character introduced show me we are in store for even more amazing reads!!!! This is a five star read that everyone can just dive into!!

A.S. Roberts’ Brody is the first in the Default Distraction series. This contemporary romance was an excellent read and kick-off to the series. I loved Brody’s character and how he fits within different dynamics. He’s a box waiting to be opened and discovering all the wonderful treasures inside. Pair him with Amy, the options instantly turned limitless. There was humor, disappointment, compassion and many more emotionally aspects built into the pages of this story that made it perfectly heartwarming and a pleasure to read. Along the way, the author gives us glimpses of supporting characters and potential pairings for upcoming books within the series. This is absolutely one of those that I will be anxiously awaiting to read what’s next.

This is a superb Rockstar romance that had me captivated right from the very first page. It’s full of passion, some suspense, drama, secrets, emotion, romance, chemistry, humour, and all the elements necessary to make this a riveting read. Amy Harper has had her fair share of heartache, it has left her wary of getting close to anyone, because then she couldn’t be hurt when she was cast aside in the end. She has her beloved grandmother, a few close friends, and the little shop she holds so dear. There is sooo much to love about this book, I really feel that I am not doing it the justice that it truly deserves. You really should read it for yourself and discover all the deliciously sexy details for yourself. Ms. Roberts writes so beautifully- she has a real talent for getting her story and characters to really connect with the reader, pulling them in and captivating them with her words. The energy and tension she is able to create in her stories, and between the characters, is truly masterful. I can’t imagine anyone reading her stories and not enjoying every word. The characters are really well written, full developed and wonderfully endearing. I loved everything about them. I also felt for them, my heart ached hearing their back stories and I wanted to give them both a massive hug. I loved meeting all the secondary characters as well, and watching some of the groundwork being laid out here for their own stories in the future. I can’t wait to read every intriguing detail!! This book has a great pace, there isn’t a dull moment to be found anywhere- it flows smoothly and is a joy to read. But be prepared for a book binge, as you won’t want to put it down! I read it in one session, staying up long past my bedtime just so I didn’t have to put it down before knowing what would happen. Bring on book two!
