Degrees of Control, by Via Mari, is the third book of the Prestian series in the continuing epic story of Chace and Katarina. In this contemporary romance, we have traveled the trials and tribulations that these characters as they attempt to find themselves and forge forward in their lives, whether together or apart. So many choices ahead and watching Chace and Katarina navigate those kept me on the edge of my seat wondering which way they would go. I have enjoyed reading their story over the previous books and I really liked how the author continued in this third book. This was well thought out with a captivating story line. This is a series that is worth reading at least once.

Degrees of Control is the third book in the Prestian Series by Via Mari. This series just keeps getting better and better, it filled with action, suspense, mystery and hot romance. This series should be read in order as the books begin where the last book leaves off. This whole series has had me on the edge of my seat. I find myself reading well into the night not being able to put the book down till I’ve read the last page. This book follows Chase and Katarina in safety lock down as the try to find out who is trying to take down her father’s family and Chase and Katarina with them. I can’t wait to see what is coming in the next installment and look forward to reading Ms. Mari’s backlist. This series will keep you coming back for more.

Degrees of Control is the third book in the Prestian series from Via Mari. I have read the previous two books and in order. I would highly recommend that you do so as well or you will find that you are a bit dazed and confused as to what is going on with our characters at this point in the books. Each book really breaks down a stage of a BDSM/intimate relationship. In this one it is centered on the aspect of control.
I must say I enjoyed the other two books much more than this one. Not that this wasn’t a great read and I won’t be back for more because I sure will! These are fantastic reads, and ultimately this book made sense amongst the greater picture of things. I do believe once you have read the entire series you will see this for yourself. I’d be divulging just a bit too much if I explained too much more in my opinion.
The one reason I struggled was Kate in this book was a big pain in my rear end. I seriously found myself yelling out loud several times at her. This isn’t a bad thing though. Good books involve the reader right? She just really needs to let go of some insecurities herself and learn to trust not only others but herself.
The steam and kink is still there to keep you blushing and fanning yourself ladies, and don’t worry there is plenty of intrigue and adventure to balance it all out perfectly. I personally can’t wait to see what will come next for these two in the book four, Degrees of Power. Thanks for another great Via Mari!

Degrees of Control by Via Mari is the third book in the Prestian Series. This is not a stand-alone story and you will be a little confused without reading the previous stories. I have enjoyed how Via Mari can keep my interest in the story. She does have fully developed characters that I have grown to love. This story continues where Chase asked Katarina to marry him and she turned him down. Now that seems harsh because she does love Chase but doesn’t want Chase to get hurt. The story goes on from this one point into an amazing mystery/thriller/romance all in one. I am not going to go on because I do not want spoilers in my review. Will Chase and Katarina have a happy ending? Will there be more heart ache in store for Chase and Katarina? You have to read this book to find out the answers to these questions.

Degrees of Control is the third book in the Prestian series by Via Mari. It is an erotic romantic suspense- full of emotion, highs and lows, mystery, action, danger, secrets, danger, passion, and more. I have been really enjoying this series, zipping my way through each book just because I need to know what’s going to happen. I had high expectations for this book and am happy to say that it was just as good as the first two, and definitely kept me hooked the whole way through. This book should be read as part of the series as there is a bridging story that continues from book to book, plus there are all the character introductions and other relevant information that you will need in order to really appreciate the story/series- so I strongly advise you to read the first two books before starting off on this one. After the events in the previous book this one picks up with Kate deciding that Chase’s choices aren’t for her and has turned down his marriage proposal. But circumstances arise where she will need to play along and put up a front of being a happy couple. With their chemistry simmering just below the surface, it doesn’t take much for their passions to unleash. But with so much still up in the air, Katarina has some decisions to make…… Kate really frustrated me a lot through this story with all her trust issues, being hard to get along with, and generally being difficult and stubborn- placing herself and others in danger. I wanted to yell at her at times. There is plenty of suspense and the tension was built to a very high level- which had me on the edge of my seat a lot of the time. There were a few unexpected developments and twists which kept thing quite interesting and had me clamouring to know how it all works out. Bring on the next book!

This is the 3rd part of this series and I loved it as much as the first. There was a lot going on and there were more than a few times I was like noooooo this can not happen, and there were more than a few times I wanted to smack Katarina upside her head..I couldn’t believe a couple things she did in this book, and if she had just listened half the time things would have gone much smoother. In saying that there were a few times I loved her taking control and then her poor security detail…LOL
Like I said there is a lot going on in this story but it all leads to one person and I’m hoping that book 4 will finally get this person figured out and out of the lives of Katarina and Chase and everyone else close to them. I can honestly say I’ve never seen people fly so much before in my life. Everytime I turned the page they were boarding this jet or this helicopter so I don’t have a book hangover, I have severe jet lag lol
I’m moving right on to book 4 as soon as I’m done writing this review. I love this series and I love this author, by now I’ve usually lost interest in a normal series but this one has me totally hooked and is as fresh as the beginning which just shows the talent this author has and her words flow so effortlessly.

Degrees of Control is the third book in Via Mari’s Prestian series. Do not start with this book, you need to read the books in the order as then you really get the story, the journey … I truly think that the series gets better and better with each book … the writer’s attention to detail becomes clearer and clearer and you feel as if you are co-existing with Kate and Chase, right there … next to them! There are so many twists and turns … one moment you are slowly floating along, enjoying the ride and then suddenly you are at the edge of your seat, almost falling off! Degrees of Control picks up after Kate has rejected Chase’s proposal for marriage. She struggles with trust and at times with what is right and what is wrong and she is so strong and at times I wish that we could also see another side of hers … on the other hand, I can so totally relate to it as when we are in control then at the end of the day there is no one else we can blame … There are some twists here that you do not see coming so it is really good that there is at least one more book for us to enjoy the journey and I am wondering, what lesson does Kate have left to learn …

Degrees of Control was a great 5 star read and book three in the Prestian Series.
We continue where book two left off. Katarina is confused on her feelings and struggling with trusting Chase and has declined his proposal. How can she love a man she can’t trust? Chase convinces Katarina to pretend to be engaged until everyone is safe. This is where things start to take an interesting twist.
There is so much that goes on, suspense, danger and several twists and turns along with a few surprises. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Katarina frustrated me at times with her stubbornness but she was still the feisty and strong willed woman that Chase fell in love with. The heat was definitely turned up between Katarina and Chase, some kindle melting moments for sure. I was happy with how things came out but now I need the next book in the series to see just where everything leads. Degrees of Control by Via Mari is the third book in the Prestian series. This story is amazing, so glad I have been keeping up with it and can’t wait to see what happens next with Katarina and Chase.
These two definitely haven’t had the easiest time together. Lots of interesting things happen to them again in this book. Feels like these two will never catch a break and just get to be a normal couple.
The one thing that is different is Katarina decides she isn’t going to sit there passively and watch everything happen. She helps out in a big way.
I love Katarina and Chase together and can’t wait to see what adventures they go through next, I seriously doubt whatever happens next will go without something happening to one of them.

Degrees of Control is the third installment of Via Mari’s Prestian Series and all I can really say is wow. So many series start to fizzle out by the third book but somehow this one is still hot! I would recommend starting the series from the very beginning if you haven’t already because each story builds upon the last, picking up where the others left off. Not to mention, you wouldn’t want to miss a single plot twist. I would have to say Degrees of Control is my favorite installment of the series thus far. Intrigue, edge of your seat suspense and even a few tears shed all while keeping up with the steamy factor of the last two books. Once again Chase and Katarina prove to be enjoyable characters with obstacles to overcome within and outside of their relationship and to say I’m invested is an understatement. Once again Via Mari hit it out of the park and left me craving more.

This is a strong series that really takes you in a ride. We are once again taken back into the lives of Kat and Chase. Lives that are as tumultuous as ever. Each book successfully develops the characters and the story more, making sure you can’t get bored of reading about these two. This was as well written and fast paced as the previous two books. Since finishing book 2 in this series I have been itching to start book 3 – I needed more of Chase and Katarina’s story and I was not disappointed at all! This is definitely turning out to be a 5 star series! The author took the drama to the next level in this book and for the first time I started questioning whether I actually like Katarina or not, this is the first time that I have ever had my feelings change towards a main character so far into the series and I love it! For me it means the author is keeping her characters fluid and they are evolving with the storyline! I still love Chase; he is an alpha male but with a softer side which I really like about him. There is still an intense sexual chemistry between then two of them in this story which doesn’t seem to be showing signs of getting any less – although Katarina had turned down Chase’s proposal I am still rooting for them as a couple! I am absolutely looking forward to the fourth book in the series and seeing what happens with Chase and Katarina!

This is Book 3 in the Prestian Series and I’m a little torn on this one. I truly thought this was the last book in the series but it turns out there is a 4th book. I’m ok with that. What I’m bummed about is that I am not as in love with the female protagonist as I was in the first 2. This book series moves at a really quick pace, so it’s natural that her feelings would change that fast also. HOWEVER, at times she is just down right mean. As I write this review, I realize that’s what makes a story good – having FEELINGS about a character instead of just being indifferent. For that reason, I will read the fourth to find out how it all wraps up.
This is a series that has intrigue and drama – It’s a roller coaster of drama and emotions. It has some cute and quirky moments and some dark and dangerous elements as well. At times it’s a perfect balance and at times it leans heavily to one side.
The story is developed and well plotted and this series MUST be read in order or it will make no sense. Please don’t do the author the disservice of reading out of order.

Degrees of Control is book three in the Prestian series by Via Mari. This series is high energy drama and suspense and often left me on the edge of my seat, anticipating the next move. It is such an interactive series for me, and one that just keeps getting more thrilling, more passionate, more suspenseful.
Katarina wants it all but has trust issues. Frustration was what I felt when she became difficult. Chase is the alpha who is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it, so he has to make adjustments and seems to handle it a little better than Kate. Their lives are certainly not dull, which makes for action aplenty, and many nail biting, hair raising moments. Just what I crave in a romance.
Via Mari has excelled again. This author drags out so many feels, readers may need a little rest to reflect after each story. 5 stars.

The Prestian Series book three: Degrees of Control written by Via Mari. Degrees of Control is a great addition to the Prestian Series and I can’t wait to read what’s next in the series. This is a continuation of Kate and Chases relationship and the many struggles they continue to face. With now threats and Kate struggling with secrets being kept can she trust Chase when it means the most of will her past issues make her unable to trust Chase. I love how much Kate grows into her self in this book, she’s always had her struggles but she is trying now and knows what she fears and wants out of life. Degrees of Control (A Prestian Series Book 3) By Via Mari. This is the 3rd book in the series and I would advise to read 1 & 2 before hand. This one picks up where Book 2 left off with Katarina turning down Chase’s proposal. Chase is very controlling and Katarina is very head strong but they have sexual chemistry they can’t deny. Katarina agrees to go along with pretending to be engaged until a business deal is done but as much as she wants to stay stand offish towards Chase her body does just the opposite. He is willing to do whatever it takes to protect Katarina and she just wants to know exactly what is going on especially since she just found out who her father is and seeing her Mother so happy after all this time. Chase and her father are involved in something very sketchy but Katarina can’t figure out what it is. I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens.

Katarina Meilers is still head strong in her fight for trust. She loves Chase, but now it has come down to. Does she trust him as well as believe in him? She must decide as she is supposed to be engaged to him.
Chase Prestian loves Katarina, this is true. But he needs and wants to keep the ugly that is his job, from her. The inner fight is on, and choices need to be made. Does he push her away, or draw her in. She is safer out of his life. But he needs her in his life. Oh then there is the trouble coming their way.
Via Mari has done it again! Book 3 has even more in it. The rollercoaster ride you will take, will keep you turning those pages. The characters are amazing and fun loving, and the loving is steamy. I only wanted to throw my tablet a few times. Along with the tears. So have the wine, chocolate and tissues close by. Via Mari I look forward to the next book. As I know this story is not over yet. Degrees of Control by Via Mari a four-star read you will want to control. This is the third book in the Prestian Series and I would definitely recommend you read them in order to get the whole story, if you started with this one you wouldn’t go back as the main character Katarina grows on you during the first two books and in this one you would just hate her if you didn’t know the background, I did and I still had moments with her. Chase is someone many will love, and overall I did, I just had moments with him too, there are some heavy sexy scenes in this series and they really do have a place and depth to them that pulls the story together. The suspense and drama in this read are great and will keep you hooked all the way through.

Katrina knew what kind of man Chase is but she is getting on her high horse when he takes care of business. Chase is really controlling . His need to know where, when, who and how would drive anyone crazy. I have enjoyed this authors writing style so far and will definitely be continuing this series. The story Degrees of Control (A Prestian Series Book 3) by Via Mari is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that hooks you in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page. I have loved this series since reading the first book. One of the reasons is the amazing characters of Chase Prestian and Katarina Mellers. In this story, Katarina deals with her issues of trust and of information regarding actions that have been taken in which she doesn’t feel right about. After turning down Chase’s marriage proposal she soon finds herself having to pretend that she has accepted in order to draw out the man who has put her and others in danger. You can feel the conflict that Katarina has as she knows that she still loves Chase, however, doesn’t know how to reconcile that with her personal convictions of right and wrong. Chase is always looking out for Katarina and her safety. He is still fiercely protective of her. He is also not willing to give up on the feelings of love that he has for Katarina. Both Chase and Katarina still feel the passion and desire that has always been part of their relationship. Will they be able to navigate the rough waters that they find themselves in and come out together on the other side? Will the one that has put their lives in an upheaval be caught? How much danger are they really in? Read this story to find out. With each story that I read, I only grow to love Chase and Katarina more. They are a couple that I believe are meant for each other. Their steamy romance makes the temperature in the room rise. Don’t miss out on this next part of their story. Highly recommended book and series.

Degrees of Control: A Prestian Series, Book 3 by Via Mari 4 out of 5 Stars
This continuation of the Prestian Series is a fantastic read. This book is not a standalone. You will need to read books 1 and 2 to fill in the gaps of where this story picks up. Katarina has shattered Chase. She has rejected his marriage proposal and now he is at a loss. He still wants her, but Katarina is having a hard time coming to terms with being wanted by a man like Chase. They are thrown together in a crisis and they must learn to navigate this new dynamic between the two of them while Katarina still tries to deny to both herself and Chase that she isn’t what he wants, however, she soon begins to realize that she was wrong all along. This book is hot. Passion and sexual desire are straight off the charts and the plot within the store gives you something to work through while Katarina and Chase circle each other like hawks.

Via Mari lives in the Midwest with her husband and their loveable fur baby. As a child who was raised in both the United States and the United Kingdom, she spent countless hours traveling and developed a passion for the written word at a young age.
She is an avid reader of romance. In fact, you can still find her curled up in an overstuffed chair, especially during winter when the wood fire is crackling and popping, reading a page-turning novel until the early hours of the morning.
As she began researching and writing love scenes for her own series, it became apparent there seemed to be a cultural divide between what people believed was normal sexual behavior, or vanilla, and that which people considered BDSM. She enjoys creating characters and scenes that allow the reader to safely explore what they would and would not be willing to try.
