This is the first-time reading, Lang Johnson; Devil’s Breath is a great read. Sera and Cassius have a love story that you aren’t sure how it’s going to end. Sera is a strong female main character. She is strong, sexy, and an assassin to top it off. Cassius is a rich smart man. He is a strong male character to match Sera. If you are looking for a great romantic action-packed thriller this is the book for you. I can’t wait to see what Lang Johnson puts out next.

This was a very well written romantic suspense. Both main characters, were written expertly, and wonderfully. Both are strong in their own right and still had their weaknesses that were relatable. Sera is an assassin, known as the Ice Queen rightfully so. She has a cold exterior that allows her to do her job efficiently and quickly. Cassius, is an outdoorsman with a good head on his shoulders and is tired of constantly bailing his brother out. Both worlds collide in the most fantastic way possible and I loved every single minute of it!

Devil’s Breath was definitely different. Not a different I was really a big fan of. However, don’t let how I feel deter you. This book may not be my thing, but it could be the book you fall in love with.
The author did a fabulous job weaving a criminal web that keeps one interested.
A story full of drugs, gangs, theft, and murder keeps you on your toes at every turn.
Sera, a hired assassin, has just started the biggest job in her life. Rope in a billionaire, drain his accounts, and kill him. How hard could that be?
Cassius is once again trying to bail out his brother Christian, to keep the strain off his parents. Little does he know Christian has other plans for him. Christian was the brother he idolized growing up and he turned into everything Cassius never expected. Meeting Sera has opened his eyes to a life he never thought he’d have. Unfortunately Sera’s lifestyle and father are a major complication in his happily ever after.
It’s not a book I took with a grain of salt, it’s just not my thing. The action/romance are well written. Give it a chance and decide for yourself.

Devil’s Breath is a suspense romance about an assassin named Sera and her mark, Cassius. Sera grew up poor with an abusive father after her mother died from drugs. Sera’s biggest weakness is satisfying her father, no matter what. Her father and a couple of associates want to invest in a “gems” company. This “gems” company is actually a way to sell drugs under the radar due to Sera’s brilliant chemistry mind. However, while she is a millionaire, they need a backer, that is where Cassius comes in. Cassius is one of the associate’s brothers, who hates him and wants revenge on the family he was disowned from. What they all didn’t count on was Cassius’ crazy smart brain and the fact that Sera’s tough exterior could have a flaw. Will Cassius figure out the plan before he loses his life? Will Sera’s tough exterior faulter for anyone besides her father? A game of cat and mouse is a good one!
I enjoyed this book a lot. It always helps when you have a badass female lead who is an assassin with daddy issues. You get to see her transformation throughout the book and give you hope that people might be able to do and be better. However, her daddy issues did make me want to slap her at times. The two characters together had great banter, which I thrive off of. However, Cassius, oh my, he was my favorite character in the book. He was adventurous, charming, down to earth, and understanding. How he treated the people around him, especially Sera, just made you melt! He was a broken but honest, lovable, really good man that you just couldn’t help falling in love with.

Devil’s Breath is a Dark Romance Suspense that will pull you into there world and wont let you go till the end. This is not what I was expecting at all but I truly enjoyed this story. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what other books she has written. The characters are developed and easy to fall in love with and the storyline flowed so well I felt like I was apart of the story. What you do if you were asked to choose between love and your family? Could you choose one or possibly fight for both? This is a fast paced story that will definitely have your emotions going all over the place and these two have great chemistry between them. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author soon.

Cassius is a little different from most people, brain scans will confirm. But what’s wrong with a little different? He likes to walk on the wild side of life (thanks to that brain of his). Is Sera more then he can handle? Cassius just wants to save his parents from having to deal with his brother’s antics anymore. BUT he wasn’t born yesterday.

What would you do with 15 million? What’s the price to pay? Is it worth it?

Sera came from the wrong side of the tracks growing up, BUT now, years later she is a successful rich “business” woman. Her loyalty to her Tay is unending, strong, and unbreakable. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for him.

What’s that saying…. “Don’t mix business with pleasure.” ESPESUALLY when you’re their assassin.
Money, fortune, drugs, lust, love…. What do they all have in common? DEATH, or so you would think.

Can one step away from their family? Start a new life? Or is blood thicker than water?

Ok so I absolutely loved this book! It was an amazing read and it had me pretty much gripped from beginning to end. Sera was a fantastic female lead in this story, she was fearless and a genius! Cassius was a brilliant male lead, I loved that he wasn’t afraid to show his feelings. Whilst there was some definite passion between Sera and Cassius their relationship was more of a slow burn one which actually fitted the story I feel. The author managed to keep the suspense running throughout the whole book and this together with a nicely layered complex storyline it made for a very exciting read! I shall definitely be looking to read more from this author again in the future.

This was a great 5 star read. This was my first time reading this author and I can’t wait to read more from her. I was pulled right in and on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen. Sera was a very strong female with some deadly training under her belt as an assassin. She ends up getting a new assignment involving Cassius. Problem is that the chemistry between them is off the charts. Will she be able to go through with her assignment?

Overall I really enjoyed this book. We get suspense, mystery, action and so much more. I loved the bantering. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I look forward to reading more from this author. If you’re looking for a great read 1-click and get started today.

Devil’s Breath is the debut novel by Lang Johnson. I didn’t expect to get so swept up in this romantic suspense- but loved that it did- the author certainly produced a captivating and action packed adventure that surprised me, in the best possible way.
We have a feisty female assassin, who also happens to be a genius when it comes to chemistry. She’s developed a new drug that is set to explode onto the market. Then we have the billionaire investor who’s funding the show, who has a price on his head. What happens when chemistry ignites along the way? We get a very intriguing story that will ensnare your attention right from the get-go!
Looking forward to more from Ms. Johnson.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Lang Johnson!

Sera is the main character in this captivating book. I personally connected with this character more than any other character. I connected to her not because of her looks but because she is being used….Cassius is something else as well. I relate to him as well because he feels like he doesn’t belong. At least that is how I am taking him in. I personally love this book and would recommend it to all of my friends.

Devil’s Breath was everything I wanted and more. It was sexy and hot and mysterious. The FMC, Sera, was not only a bad ass but she was so smart. We love a woman with beauty AND brains. Cassius is just as sexy and he has that tough guy exterior that only Sera can get past. The tension of Sera choosing between her father and Cassius made the drama of this book stand out. I can’t say enough good things about this book! Sera and Cassius are definitely goals.

I’m not sure where to start or how to do this book justice !

So let me start at my weakness …. Cover art is phenomenal! Once I read what was between the pages I liked it even more and it added to the suspense ….

Now every girl should be her daddy’s princess and Lorenzo really did a poor job here especially manipulating her to do his dirty work but having said that at times I felt like I had a bit of whiplash with the people in Sera’s life ….

Make no mistake Sera isn’t just smart but she’s beautiful and deadly as well so naturally Cassius will warm her heart and bed 😜

Be warned all is not as it seems !

This ticked all my boxes and I’ll be telling anyone and everyone to read it 📕❣️

This is an amazing dark romance with a twist. Sera is sent by her father to fill Cassius but once she lays eyes on him she feels herself being drawn in. The chemistry between the two of them is unbelievable and as much as they both try to keep their distance it’s not possible for either of them. There is so much action, and suspense and twists and turn mixed in with all of the heat and romance that I was absolutely glued to this book! Sera has a huge choice to make, love or family? Will she follow her heart or turn her back on love to please her father? This is one book you are absolutely not going to want to miss and I can’t wait to read more from this amazing author in the future!

Sera was an amazing female lead, and she did not back down in her professional life or personal. Together she and Cassius take you on an emotional and mysterious rollercoaster ride in which you don’t have a clue where you will end up. Cassius is this successful billionaire who likes to leave on the edge, and had quite the past . Together they had insane chemistry with perfect mixtures of drama, angst, lust, love, deception, and twists that you never see coming.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a beautifully written novel with everything you need! There’s action, romance, espionage, and family drama. I absolutely love the main character, Sera. She is a strong woman who has built herself up with a horribly broken foundation. Her best friend and sister by choice, Raine, is almost the same. They have become crime lords of the first order. The only “weakness in their operation is Sera’s father, Lorenzo. He’s an abusive and manipulative man who could destroy everything.
Their most current job involves Cassius, our “Romance novel cover” leading man. He has a penchant for the extreme and he knows things are shady in New York, but when he meets Sera, he’s met his match.
When your past and your future collide and you have to choose, which way will the characters go? I highly recommend you read this and find out.

Sera Dwari is an amazing chemist, she is about to revolutionize the drug industry with her creation, Devil’s Breath. She is also an assassin., Sera is tasked with killing billionaire Cassius Batista. Cassius knows there is something off with Sera, no one is this perfect. They fall for each other and Sera must choose between family and love.
I loved the premise not the execution, I wanted more. I wanted more of the drug world side of things, I felt it was introduced then put to the side. I would have also loved more physical connection between Cassius and Sera but the emotional connection was intense. The book was well written and the characters did come to life I would recommend this.

Wow where to start with this book. It is definately a story that you start and completely lose yourself and time flys by. The author does an amazing job with the characters and this story has a mixture to suit everyone. From action and danger to romance and emotions that the reader feels every step of the way.

Sera is a trained assasian who always gets what she wants. She is also amazing with chemicals and she creates a drug called Devil’s Breath which is set to hit the streets and become the next big thing. From the outside she seems every bit the cold hearted assassin that cares about no one or nothing.

Then we have Cassius. Cassius is the rich business man who is funding (unknowingly) the front for the company to make Devil’s Breath. But because of that he is on Sera’s radar and now they just don’t want him to fund the company they want his entire fortune which means he needs to go.

But there’s one snag that Sera didn’t see coming. How is she supposed to kill someone she has fallen for? Will the connection and feelings between them be enough to save Cassius? Or will the appeal of his money be worth more to Sera than a man to love and who loves her in return?

I absolutely loved this book for so many reasons, I could not put it down to say the least! Full of action, suspense, and of course that seductive chemistry we all crave. The author knew exactly how to pull the reader in, and hold us there, the book was very well written, and hit all the right elemental keys!

I do love a good suspenseful book. This one certainly took the cake. I truly did admire Sera, she was a strong minded and an assassin you do not mess with. I seen a lot of character development with her, as the story went on. I didn’t think I could admire her more, but I did! I loved the chemistry with her and Cassius. Their chemistry was very much fireworks and seductive all at once. I loved this book, I was on the edge of my seat with how the book would turn out, with all its twists and turns. Stuck between two men dear to you, do you choose family over love? If you seek the answer I did, I suggest you read this book too! The book is more than a well wroth read! I love dark romantic suspense and equally a strong, sassy female character and a ruthless femme fatale to boot. The characters are complex along with depth and flaws.

Devil’s Breath is seductive with forbidden love. It is tantalising in the chase. It is suspenseful and mysterious in the journey. There are secrets and lies, crime and action. There is intrigue and there is slow burning passion.

It’s a dangerous game of cat and mouse caught between the man who manipulated her and raised her and the one she was sent to kill.

This gripping tale is addictive and one to be discovered all on its own at your own pace. I really look forward from more from Lang.

Cassius and Sera have some downright flaming sparks but can they work through some nasty baggage? The fact that she has to kill him may be an issue….. This book is an action pack, suspense thrilled, adventure ride. Nothing is quite as it seems. Many secrets to unravel. There are some plot twists to keep you on your toes but the characters are entertaining and feel downright personal, even Lorenzo. Cassius knows what he’s doing. I’m rooting for him and Sera.
