Drag Me Down: A Cyborg Sci-Fi Romance (Full Throttle Cyborgs) by Landra Graf – Review by Roxsanne Lesieur.

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs, #4)Drag Me Down by Landra Graf
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dakota ‘Drag’ Michelson is a member of the Full Throttle Gang and he is a drag racer for his group, and he is certainly more than capable of everything he puts his mind to, except for the one woman who caused him to lose everything, including his arm, and become a cyborg when he had to get a new cybernetic one. Bridget MacIntosh is a woman with a lot of responsibility, she is the leader of the MacIntosh gang, and she has fought tooth and nail to get there and stay there, even if it meant throwing away the only future, she truly wanted because of a deal she should never have had to make.

The only thing that Drag wants now is to celebrate his win and qualification into the upcoming Championship Race, however, when Bridget appears asking for a meeting during the afterparty, he is extremely wary, especially after the last time she framed him for murder and got him kicked out of the MacIntosh gang. He reluctantly goes to hear her out, however, when Bridget tells him that she wants help getting out from under the thumb of her sponsor, he is gobsmacked and has to laugh at the irony of her plan, but he agrees to think on her proposal and promptly leaves before he acts on any of the baser impulses, he still has towards her. Bridget, however, is frustrated by having to wait for his answer when she knows that time is running out, but she also knows how Drag works and that he will give her the answer, she just hopes that it is the one she wants.

When they next meet, tempers and passions flare as Drag lays out the ground rules and his expectations which Bridget is forced to accept and so a truce is called, however, Drag knows that he is most likely going to be double crossed and so develops a back-up plan in case this happens, although Bridget will never know, but as they become entangled in a web of desire, deceit and subterfuge, will the two be able to keep their feeling tamped down so that they can enact their plan with clear heads, or will they blur the lines and allow feelings to ignite? This is a full throttle romance with a sci-fi backdrop where the adrenaline is pumping, and the stakes are high in this danger filled race against time set in a dystopian future.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I didn’t realize I was picking up a series when I read this book, but I felt like it did pretty good as a standalone. It was absolutely gripping though, so I have run to pick up the previous 3 books now! This was a perfect blend of sci-fi and romance which are two of my favorite genres. We waste no time getting right into the middle of drama, action, and all the secrets. Drag and Bridget have quite the history that I’m sure I’ll get more background on in the other books. What’s apparent from the get-go is their intense chemistry together! The development of each character is just perfection, and the flow of the story is enjoyable and natural. I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a fast-paced sci-fi read. I’m on my way to pick up all of these books right now!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Drag me Down is the fourth book in the Full Throttle Cyborgs Series but it’s the first book in the series that I have read. This was a totally unfamiliar world for me, but I found that I really enjoyed this book. I did not feel like there was anything that I would have missed, and I did not feel lost while reading Drag and Bridget’s story, so I can say this would be ok read as a standalone. Drag and Bridget were together once before, but they split when she betrayed him, so when she comes to him for help it brings up lots of still existing feelings that he doesn’t want to experience. It’s a great redemption, second chance at love, super interesting universe, and a well told story.

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs, #4)Drag Me Down by Landra Graf
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Drag Me Down is Book Four in the Full Throttle Cyborgs series. It is a cyborg sci-fi romance
with danger, drama, passion, chemistry, action, suspense, and cyborgs. Dakota, or Drag as he is known, is out for revenge after being betrayed and having his heart broken. Bridget is used to getting what she wants and will stop nothing to come out on top. She has been ruthlessly setting her sight on trying to take over Drags racers, his gang and his town but Drag has stopped her
at every turn. Now, Bridget is determined to get out from underneath the thumb of her gang sponsor and Drag and Bridget finds that they must join forces. Bridget thinks that she can fool him again, but Drag will not be fooled by her again. What neither expected was for the underlying chemistry and the sexual tension between them being off the charts. This book is fast paced with twists and turns that kept me reading until the end. The characters were amazing and unique, with a bit of an enemies to lover’s twist to keep you on your toes. The chemistry between Bridget and Drag is undeniable, but can they ever trust one another to have a relationship?

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs, #4)Drag Me Down by Landra Graf
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in the Full Throttle Cyborg series. This is a sci-fi romance with a enemies to lovers story. It is also full of action, adventure, fast cars, lies, gangs, betrayal and revenge. I was immediately captivated by this authors world building skills. It was so easy to picture and imagine yourself in the places the author was describing.

Dakota ‘Drag’ Michelson has only truelly loved one woman in his life but when Bridget betrayed him and framed him for murder the only thing he felt for her was hate. Or so he thought. With a big championship race looming the last thing he needs is a distraction and Bridget is one big distraction.

Bridget has always gone after what she wants in life no matter what she has to do or who she hurts in the process. Now she wants to be free of the gang she finds herself and the only person that can help her is Drag. After she tried to sabatage the race and her spy was uncovered she knows the only thing left to do is join forces with Drag.
But Drag won’t be fooled twice. He doesn’t trust Bridget at all. After she did last time how could he possible trust her. But as old feelings start to resurface is the need for revenge going to be the only driving force? With love and hate being so close how can you tell you’ve crossed the line from one to another?

This was a fast paced story full of twists and turns. I loved the duel prospective which really brings the characters to life and makes them feel more real.

This book is very interesting. It has a good mixture of romance, action, and humor. You are drawn in by the main characters, Drag and Bridget, and their tension but love for each other even though circumstances has caused them to drift apart. This book keeps you engaged to the very end and is worth every second you spend reading it.

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs, #4)Drag Me Down by Landra Graf
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

 1. Drag Me Down can definitely be read as a standalone. I did not read the first three books in The Full Throttle Cyborgs series, but felt like I wasn’t missing out on much background information. I did, however, enjoy this book so much that I would love to go back and read the previous three in the series. Drag and Bridget’s story is full of passion, love, betrayal, distrust, and a whole lot of drama. This particular sci-fi series takes place on Mars (so many questions regarding that) and seems almost as if humanity has backtracked in their way of thinking and living (not wanting women to hold power or participate in any manual labor). However, Drag and Bridget think a little differently, which is refreshing. Landra Graf’s world building is great; I could feel myself in the heat of the day on Mars or the middle of the dome watching the car races. And the characters, while a little out there (it is sci-fi after all), are realistic, believable, and I couldn’t help but feel a connection with them. There is such a deep connection between Drag and Bridget that goes beyond the purely physical and it is, at times, heartbreaking to see the war that rages inside them both at their fear of being betrayed by the other. Overall, a great read for fans of sci-fi and romance alike. And I’m definitely going to pick up the rest of the series!

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs, #4)Drag Me Down by Landra Graf
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Drag has spent 12 years without his old life, his arm, his home and the love of his life to Moag at the Mars Racing Championship. Somehow he finds himself back at this very same race 12 years later determined to win.

The night before the big race his past comes back to haunt him and its Bridget asking for a favor to release her from the trap she’s found herself in. She’s managed to dodge Moags proposals but he’s becoming impatient and she’s becoming desperate. Unfortunately for Bridget Drag does still love her but she has a reputation of taking what she wants when she wants and he’s protecting his heart from further damage of the Bridget kind.

She needs proof of Moags trechery and she needs Drag to provide the cover she needs to find it to be able to escape Moag, who has become her prison and well known as the sponsor who ruined Drag and Bridget’s future.

Will they work together to get the proof she needs to reset the loss they’ve shared and can Drag let go of the heartbreak she’s caused and fall again? Can they let go of the past and trust one another to work together and turn everything upside down again , hopefully in their favor this time? Who wins this battle Moag or Drag & Bridget?
This was a good read I read this without the previous books and had no trouble and the cybernetic science in the book was actually quite engaging.
A def must read for the Sci fi community!

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs Series) by Landra Graf. This is the 4th book in the Full Throttle Cyborgs series but it can be read as a standalone. I always recommend reading them in order to better understand the characters though. This is Drag & Bridget’s Story and Bridget trying to take over Drag’s gang. Drag and Bridget have a past and Drag has always loved Bridget but she has taken his heart and stomped all over it. Bridget has done so many bad things in her life to get where she wants to be she doesn’t know if she can do any different. Drag wants nothing to do with Bridget and her plan is to work with Drag but he doesn’t know that. He has his guard up and won’t let it down until he figures out what is going on. The fast cars and their fast lives make this a fast paced story that will have you flipping the pages until you are finished! Such a fun addition to this series! One of my favorites so far!

Another great book from this author. True to Landras’ style we get Sci-Fi romance with Cyborg, Gangs, Races, Love and Hate.
Being the fourth book in the series the characters obviously had a bit of a back story that I was unaware of but the book did read well as a stand alone. The character development is well written and the world (on Mars) is well depicted.
All in all a good read that keeps you hooked as it twists and turns through races and the characters lives.
I went into this not reading the first three books of the series, I believe each book can be read as a standalone, but I enjoyed all the side characters, so I want to go back to read all their stories as well. I also thought it was so cool that they all live on Mars so I’m hoping book one has more about that. I felt no hatred between Drag and Bridget, again, that could be addressed in another book I will have to go back and find out myself. But I loved their chemistry and glad that their hated for one another didn’t last long. I liked that the story was fast paced, their living environment doesn’t feel like one where you can slow down anyway. The story made me feel a little like I was in the Fast and Furious on mars and recommend to readers who are into stories like that. It was a great and entertaining read.

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs, #4)Drag Me Down by Landra Graf
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mars, gang-towns, racing, secrets. Love the worlds Landra Graf creates. While this is the fourth book in the series I mostly did fine with understanding the story the only confusion in some ways was not fully understanding the past of some of the other characters in relation to the female lead of this book. As she says at one point in the room with all four male leads of the series so far, Snapper, Jack, Hemi and Drag, “she has left her mark on all of them.” Primarily told through the perspectives of Drag and Bridget.
Twelve years have passed since Drag lost everything. His gang, his home, and the only woman he ever loved, not to mention his arm. Now he is about to be at the same place again, the Mars Racing Championship. The night before the big qualifying race his past comes back asking for the mother of all favors. In the time since “that” day Bridget hasn’t been able to be herself, to drop the act. To be herself she risks losing everything, including herself. Now is her chance, all she needs is him and she can have her cover to get the proof she needs to rid not only herself but the entire planet of Mars of the monster that is Moag Cheatham. The sponsor that truly ruined her entire life and the future she and Drag had planned for themselves, together. Both feel betrayed. Both feel that it’s a trap that will close in around them at any moment. Moag wants to replace Briget if she continues to decline his proposal, to bring in someone more subservient who he can control. Drag wants to revive his town to its former glory, to help his people and thrive once again. Is this real or just another act?
Will Bridget get the proof in time? Can they let go of the past and accept the present? Who will come out on top? Everything in this world is mostly relatable, minus all the cybernetics, but realistic in nature. People often have their own hidden agendas and are willing to do whatever it takes to come out on top. All they wanted was each other, to be together and build a future together. Everything was flipped on its head and twelve years later flipped again. Together, will they finally find their happily ever after?

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs Series) by Landra Graf – Review by Paloma Fierro 22/4/24

‘Drag’ Michelson has suffered for his gang, the racing may be working on their side for the first time in forever. The rings had to pass, the uphill battle to survive it just about to start. And even in his darkest moments in the back of his mind the woman who made him hate the lack of loyalty still simmers.

Bridget has done all kinds of unwholesome things in order to make do, lying, betraying, damaging the man that had had her heart since the beginning of time. But such is life that in desperation she may drag him to her once more, even when nothing in her hand can help her do it without hurting even more.

Let’s start with the obvious, you can read this book before reading the others in this series. There are characters that overlap between books but each book can be read as a stand alone. You don’t feel like you are missing out on anything if you are starting with this book. You will want to go and read the other books in the series. Now, let us talk about this book. It is amazing and fast paced. The action on the pages keep you turning them. When I say this book was a quick read, I don’t mean that by it being a short time span; I mean it because the action and pace of the story line is quick. Just when you grasp what happened, something else happens. The cars in this book just accelerates the story line and the pace which the author wants to take you through the story. Then the author adds in some amazing characters that help feed into the pace of this book. I felt like an adrenaline junkie while reading this book. When I finished it, I felt like I do things that are way out of my normal. lol. This book will have you thinking you can do some of this amazing stuff that the characters do because you can relate to them. The characters help drive home the chemistry in this book and I loved every second of it. I will be reading the rest of the series because if this book was the good, can you imagine what the whole series is like and how even more incredible it could be. This book contains a little of everything for everyone. I highly recommend reading it even if you don’t like romance, you will like the banter with the characters and the action in this book.

I’ve read several books by this author but this one may be my favorite yet. This is packed with action, gangs, fast cars, suspense, revenge and so much more. Get ready to be taken on a fast paced thrilling ride as we dive into Drag and Bridget’s story. Drag has been left for dead after being beaten but now he’s out for sweet revenge. Bridget does what needs to be done .These two live hard and drive fast cars and the chemistry/ sexual tension between is off the charts but oh so good. I highly recommend reading this book to find out happens next. I’m already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Drag and Bridget the two main characters have a lot of deep history and love that goes way back. Drag was betrayed and framed by Bridget and throughout the book doesn’t know the truth. Now after 12 years Bridget needs to team up with Drag and his gang to take town someone before it is to late.
This had a lot of loyalty on each side and family like atmosphere when it comes to the main characters when it comes to their gangs. I loved the dual POV and getting to see each side’s feelings towards another after all these years.

Drag Me Down is the fourth book in the Full Throttle Cyborgs series by Landra Graf. It is another full throttle sci-fi romance brimming with action, super-charged chemistry, plenty of sparks, sizzle, drama, danger, tension, emotion, cyborgs, and so much more. This intriguing plot for revenge that turns enemies into lovers, with a second chance at romance- which definitely dragged me in and had me invested right from the get-go.
I love all Ms. Graf’s books, but this is definitely one of my most favourites reads from her. And as with the rest of the series, it gives off a bit of a futuristic ‘Fast and Furious’ vibe. So strap in for a thrilling ride…

Drag Me Down by Landra Graf is the fourth book in the full-throttle cyborg series and can be read as a stand-alone, however, the characters cross over between all of the books..

The development of the characters was nice, and I especially liked how the MMC always took care of his territory making sure they were good while also trying to strive for his end goal. There is excitement, drama, and romance… just picture fast and furious but on Mars and the gangs/territories are family. If you like a great story/plot, AI, cyborgs, and/or revenge stories then this book is definitely for you!

I don’t know if it is because I don’t normally read this genre, or if it would make more sense if I read the other three first, but a lot of the book had me rereading parts to try and make sense. Because of this, I give the book 3.75 stars but someone who normally reads this genre might give it more.

This is a well written story where the author brought the characters to life on each page. They are strong, creative and add so much to the story. This is a story that starts out as revenge but then turns into something more. These characters don’t see it coming. I enjoyed watching the growth and chemistry throughout the book which made it easy to pick up. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story. An engaging story that will keep you coming back for more. This is a really great story that I enjoyed reading. I highly recommend this book.

Drag Me Down is the fourth exciting action-packed tale in this unique Sci Fi romance tale. I think this one is my favourite so far. Landra takes her readers on a thrilling ride of their life with fast cars, artificial intelligence, cyborgs, sabotage, gangs and so much more. This fast-paced tale is full of high speed, action, suspense, adventure and revenge.
Drag has been battered, bruised, betrayed and left for dead but now it’s time for revenge. They say revenge is sweet and he can almost taste it. He won’t be fooled this time.
Bridget makes no bones for what she does so when she tries to infiltrate the enemy, she is thwarted at every turn but what she hadn’t counted on was her traitorous heart.
They race fast and live hard doing what they love. It’s full throttle and pedal to the metal all the way. This enemies to lovers tale gives us a romance where the sexual tension is so palpable it is off the charts. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

This is an action- romance. I was hooked the moment I started. The chemistry is there. Torn apart by family/gang drama, will they find there way back. The writing is well-done. It’s fast-paced. Bridget has to show the gang she is leading that she is boss and knows what she is doing. She is trying hard to take doing the lousy, cheating antagonist. She gets her ex, Drag, to help her. Watching their struggles as she had to earn back the respect of those she hurt, as well as Drag, showed how much she had grown. I found it to be a story of redemption. It’s a fantastic series that I’ve enjoyed so far.
