A dark and twisting mystery that truly skyrockets toward as a psychological thriller. One can only imagine what it’s like to be the mother to a child lost, and we give sympathy to those who live that reality. This book keeps you guessing and with so many possibilities that are equally plausible, it allows the reader to assume things themselves while feeling like they’re perfectly in step with Catherine. Overall, a good read.

This book was definitely a world wind, like a roller coaster. There were so many possibilities for how the death occurred you wouldn’t know which one it would be. Everything had me guessing of who killed or accidental death of Susie.

Catherine is Susie’s mom she is searching on what really happened to her daughter so she is doing loads of research and on thesearch. Something just didn’t feel right about what happened to her daughter. But the more she investigats the more she realizes how little she really knows who her daughter really is. With ten possible scenarios on who was involved and how the accident happened will Catherine ever finally uncover the truth? Or is the truth best left alone before something else sinister happens?

Eaxh aspect of the scenarios had me doubting who could have played a role in Susie’s death.

I did not expect how the book ended. But buckle up for a great read.

This book was definitely a thrill ride from start to finish. I enjoyed the fact that there were so many possibilities on how the death occurred and each one was just as plausible as the last. It kept me guessing as to who might have played a role in Susie’s “accidental” death.

Catherine is a mom on a search for answers into what really happened to her daughter Susie the day she dies. For her, something never felt quite right about the circumstances and needing to find closure the truth is important to her. Unfortunately, the more she digs in the more she realizes that she didn’t really know who Susie became or the kind of person she was. With ten possible scenarios on who was involved and how the accident happened will Catherine ever finally uncover the truth? Or is the truth best left alone before something else sinister happens?

Each scenario had me doubting who could have played a role in Susie’s death. And the fact that the more Catherine learned about Susie the less she knew about her daughter and the woman she had become. The end really threw me for a loop and I was shocked at just how everything played out. If you like psychological thrillers then definitely give this one a try, it is a well written masterpiece.

I’m a sucker for a good psychological thriller, and this met all of my criteria. I felt an emotional connection to Catherine, the main character in this book. It is difficult for me to really delve emotionally into a novel, but this author managed to pull me in: hook, line, and sinker. Being a mom can be incredibly difficult but being a mother of a child that has passed has to be a million times more difficult. I think becoming a mom for the first time has really put that into perspective for me.
Enough about myself.. this novel is spectacular and I highly recommend for anyone who loves a good psychological thriller. The characters, plot, and emotion in this novel will leave you wanting to read until you finish it.

Wow! This is my first read for this author. I was captivated from the start. Like a spider weaving an intricate web, I found myself tangled into Susie’s story and all the mysteries she was shrouded in. I could not imagine being a mother and trying to hunt down facts and truths for your child’s loss. Like Catherine, I would not stop until I found the truth. And I would seek it even if it ripped my heart to shreds.

Read this book! You won’t regret it!

This beautifully written book left me wanting more in the very best way! It was so easy to get caught up in Catherine’s day to day life & tag along with her. She is a lovely narrator & I loved her character. The author’s style of thriller writing gave me the most pleasantly suspenseful experience I’ve had with a book, & I’m so happy to have discovered it. Even though I thought I knew, I was genuinely uncertain of what really happened to Susie all the way up to the end. The ending snuck up on me so calmly I felt a hard “wait a minute!! it’s over??” that I don’t usually feel, which was fun. Even a few days after finishing, I still find myself wanting to spend more time with Catherine & come along on the rest of her journey. There were a few more intense moments, & they were just enough to knock your heart rate up a notch without crossing over into being too much. Brilliantly created & intriguing in such a refreshing way!

A mother’s love knows no bounds but as a mother, how well do you know your children? Catherine Keely’s daughter Susie died a year ago. She was on holiday with her boyfriend Daniel and some friends when she fell over a balcony. Was she drunk? Some say she was. Was she pushed? It’s pretty suspect. Catherine travels to Crete to try to get to the bottom of her daughter’s death. There are so many questions that she has. As she meets with Susie’s friends, her former boyfriend, and people who were present on the night of Susie’s death, different pictures emerge. All of them have some layer of truth to them but what really is the truth? She’s presented with ten different scenarios and the reader is challenged to choose the correct one.

This is another new-to-me author and I found her writing style to be very easy to read. She has a way of drawing the reader in to her story and not letting go even after the last words are read. This book is full of intrigue and lots of twists and turns. I hope you’ll enjoy this great little short story!

I’m on a ledge deciding which way to fall when it comes to this book. And Then She Fell was an interesting read. Although I didn’t love it, I didn’t dislike it either. This book was wonderfully written and deserves praise in this regard. The author kept me intrigued, which says a lot because I struggled at the beginning trying to get into the book. I want to be proven wrong, I made an assumption early on which is what kept me reading. But I will neither confirm or deny the outcome of that want.
Catherine is retracing the steps of her late daughter Susie. She doesn’t fully believe her death was an accident(neither do I.) She finds herself back in Crete at the hotel where it happened. She finds herself meeting up with Susie’s two friends Jessica and Sebastien, where she finds out Daniel was a controlling boyfriend. She also ends up in Daniel’s crosshairs. Despite all this she’s being stalked/threatened, somebody doesn’t want her to continue her quest. Susie was changing and she never noticed.
What kind of mom does that make her?
That’s a question she seemed to internally ask herself throughout.
I don’t trust Daniel. I also firmly believed from an early point that he pushed Susie, maybe not intentionally but it still happened. Like I said I want to be proven wrong. Controlling relationships sometimes go too far, unfortunately the next likely scenario is even sadder. There are things that take one’s mind elsewhere when reading that give one hope to be proven wrong, but sad knowing what the outcome would be.
If you like reading for clues and making your own assumptions hoping to be right or wrong, this book is perfect for you. The author gives you so much, it makes you feel one with Catherine in her path of discovery to what happened When She Fell.

This book is so intriguing. I love how it has different scenarios in a kind of who dunnit mystery. I love the mother’s POV and getting to see how she is a year after this tragedy has happened. It is very suspenseful and haunting. It is great to see how the mother has people that allow her to grieve the way she needs to and not trying to change her or make her better. The daughter’s life that comes to light kind of hints at social peer pressure and the need to be a certain way. It is definitely worth a read.

WOW! This was my first read by Dreena Collins, and the book And Then She Fell did not disappoint one bit! After reading the first chapter, I knew I’d be hooked. The thought of multiple potential stories that were told throughout the book really drew me in, as well as the title of the book itself.

Catherine’s daughter Susie fell to her death in an accident in Crete. Nothing about the “accident” has ever felt right Catherine, so Catherine decides to take a trip Crete herself and see if anyone can remember anything that may help her “solve the case”. To Catherine, this wasn’t just about solving the case, but it was about trying to gain some type of closure. After gathering some information from speaking to several employees of the different areas in Crete, Catherine figured she had enough courage to approach Susie’s friends and boyfriend to help her try to piece together what could have happened.
Catherine soon comes to realize that she truly didn’t know who her daughter Susie really was!

The 10 possibilities of known scenarios coming together of what might have happened and who Susie really was, had a unique approach. I found each scenario to be affecting my opinions on who could possibly be responsible to the “accident” that happened to Susie. Each scenario was well written suggestions of what possibly happened to Susie, and to say that I was surprised by the ending is a definite understatement! I was lost in the rabbit hole of possibilities from start to finish.

The writing was incredible and what an ending!

Catherine’s daughter, Susie, has fallen from a balcony while on holiday.
It is suggested to be a drunk accident, but this doesn’t feel right to Catherine and she is not letting go, determined to find the truth. Who can she trust? What will she uncover?

The 10 possible outcomes were such a great premise, I suspected this was going to be a great read and I was not wrong! Such a well thought out story and characters. This was so gripping with the twists. I was hooked after just a few chapters.

And Then She Fell is such a roller coaster of emotions and stories. This book had me captured from the very beginning, and I almost read it in one sitting. Catherine lost her daughter, Susie, to a falling accident in Crete. Something didn’t feel right about this “accident” so Catherine begins investigating, eventually questioning her daughter’s friends and boyfriend. As she begins to piece together all of the information, she slowly realizes she did not know her daughter at all. Was she living a secret life? Was she blinded by “motherly love” or lack of attention? It is an emotional and winding path, as she searches for the answers to the loss of her daughter. I have never read anything like this, and I hope I can find others that make me really think like this one did. It brought up a sort of “13 Reasons Why” feel, at times, with all of the stories that change and make you change your idea of “whodunit”. I categorize And Then She Fell as an intense and immersive psychological thriller that you will not want to put down.

And Then She Fell is an emotional and captivating story. A year on from her daughter’s tragic death, Catherine is convinced there’s more to the story. As she probes, following in her daughter’s footsteps and talking to the people she knew, Catherine learns a lot about Susie, with plenty of surprises.

This book is a real page-turner. At the start, you think you’ve got a good idea what happened. But like Catherine, everything you learn unravels the story more. Is Catherine merely overanalysing a simple, tragic accident? Is she being protected from things Susie didn’t want her to know, or are people hiding the truth from her?

The first person narration is effective here – the story is told as Catherine talking to Susie, so we already know she is shaping the narrative to what she would want Susie to know and think. And interspersed are retellings of the moments leading up to Susie’s death, each presented in third person and as if this one must be the truth, but each undermined by the next.

This is a five star book for me! I couldn’t put it down, I was squeezing in a chapter on the bus to try and find out what would happen next. I’d recommend it to fans of mysteries and psychological thrillers!

This book was intriguing from the very beginning. I could not put it down. I kept pushing on trying to find out if there was something sinister to Susie’s fall or if it was as simple as the official story, she was drunk and fell.

We follow Catherine as she tries to find the true story of her daughter’s death while also trying to cope with said death. She feels as if the official story is not true since Susie wasn’t much of a drinker. Catherine thinks she knows her daughter best but as more and more stories of Susie emerge, she doesn’t know what to think anymore. Catherine starts getting paranoid about everyone in Susie’s life, especially Susie’s boyfriend at the time. As the story progresses there are 10 different scenarios that Catherine thinks happened but which one is the truth?

The book was written like it was a journal that Catherine wrote specifically to Susie. I found myself going through a slew of different emotions with this read. I highly recommend this book!

And Then She Fell by Dreena Collins is a book about a mother, Catherine Keely, who is determined to find the truth about her daughter Susie’s death. Her daughter died on a trip to Greece at age 26, and Catherine’s grief was not ebbing. She sets out to try to put together the pieces of what really happened. As she meets with those who accompanied Susie on her trip, and residents who may have seen her during her stay, it does not take long for Catherine to realize that Susie had secrets she was withholding.
This story was an intense read for me. I never want to know the pain and grief that weighed upon Catherine. Losing a child is the biggest fear of any loving parent. The author did such a wonderful job conveying that devastating pain to me as a reader. It was so raw and unwavering. I could not have guessed the story would end as it did! Phenomenal writing and a well-crafted story. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work in the future. Highly recommend.

While reading this book, I was constantly thinking – thinking I knew the truth, thinking I was a step ahead and then thinking I had no idea what I was talking about. Each chapter dove deeper into a complex dynamic between several people, with no clear understanding of truth. The author does a great job at developing characters who are ever changing, or perhaps the author just gives the perspective of change. This book had me curious to the very end and left me thinking about how anyone can have a multitude of stories based on different people’s perspectives.

First off… OMG… this book is a MUST READ! Once you start it sucks you in and good luck stopping until the last page. This is the first book I have read from this author and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

I always read the writeup to see what a book is about before I choose to read it or not. I knew from the get go I wanted to read this story. I am so glad I did.

Catherine going thru the grieving process of losing her daughter Susie in a tragic accident. Trying to make sense of the accident a year later. She wants so badly to know exactly what happened to her. Even going back to Crete where the accident happened. Even reaching out to Daniel who was the boyfriend at the time.

Things are mysteriously happening to her at home while she is talking to those who knew Susie during that time. I love how the author has excerpts from Susie that are changing from the night of the accident. I found myself comparing the changes each time one came up and trying to solve what happened.

Wow what a story. I was gripped right from the beginning and I was gripped until I found out what happened to Susie. The author does an amazing job with this story by giving the reader several different scenarios of how Susie fell, was it an accident? Was she drunk? Was she pushed?

All of the scenarios seem likely but the actual events will blow your mind. Several times I thought I had the answer and I was still wrong.

Catherine Keely is a heartbroken mother trying to come to terms with the loss of her daughter when she fell from a balcony in Crete. Catherine doesn’t believe it was an accident and so she sets out to find the truth. She questions Suzies friends and ex partner trying to find answers but what she finds out is perhaps something she wishes she didn’t know. When you believe you know someone completely could you really not know them at all? Are somethings better not being know?
