While this is the third book in the series and while I haven’t read the previous two trust me when I say I definitely will. But to ge completely honest I had no idea whay i was in for when it came to this book. Full of ghosts, mystery, drama and more this book definitely kept me intrigued. The characters were very well developed, the plot was interesting and did I mention the beautiful cover? All of this and more is what will have me looking for more from this terrific author.

I loved this book as much as the previous book. I would say it’s geared mostly towards middle school aged girls, but I’m in my 40s and enjoyed it. I liked how there were lessons to learn from the story like teamwork, honesty and responsibility. You can read this as a standalone, but why would you?

What a cute story! It combines real life problems with some paranormal. Lauren’s character is troubled, thoughtful, and seems older than she is. Grace is a very lively spirit! She wants to help Lauren so bad. You dont have to be a fan of ballet to enjoy this book.
This is book three of the series, but I read this one as a stand-alone. It’s a great book for teens and even middle schoolers! Lauren gets back to school already worrying with a new student, and her ghost friends. Her friend decides to put a gossip blog up about ghosts which has put a turn to a lot of events. Please take a read! Totally worth it!

This is the third book in the series, and it’s a good one! I really enjoyed reading it! It’s a quick little book, but still full of adventure. Once again, it is probably best suited for younger audiences, but it’s still enjoyable for adults! It’s like the ghost version of Percy Jackson! I think I actually might buy these for my little cousin for Christmas this year, excellent books!

This is such a cute story! I definitely would have loved it when I was younger, and probably have been obsessed with it. While I feel it’s a book meant a little more for younger people, I still really enjoyed it. It’s a cute little story and an excellent read. This is the first book I’ve read of this series. It tells a story of a ballet school in England. Lauren can see ghosts, this is where we met Grace, and Rodney. It’s a great read as a stand alone or read the whole series.

This is book three in this wonderful series of a world of dancing paranormal ghosts. Once again, the author made me laugh from all the angst going on in this school. It’s no different than typical high school and made me think about some of the gossip years I experienced myself and the drama that created. I think the author does an amazing job with these books and can provide some valuable lessons in the process. I think that it’s a perfect read for young teens, but I have thoroughly enjoyed these books as well. While this could be a stand-alone book I do feel like it would be best to read the entire series to get the most benefit from the life lessons she is preparing our young girls for.

Ballet School Rumors takes you to Amberwood Hall where you will find a vast array of characters living and going to school. Lauren and Katie are best friends who meet at ballet school. Within their group you find a group of students who treat each other with kindness and acceptance. A new student arrives this year and Lauren is assigned to care for her – and while Lauren is a bit irritated, she soon learns that Nyree is a good friend to have in her corner.
Grace and Rodney, resident ghosts take good care to not be seen or found out. Lauren is the only student who knows they are there. That is until one of the boys wants to uncover ghosts in the school. Add in the new wall on the school news site where someone is spreading rumors and you get a real middle school feel for what rumors and shenanigans can do to interrupt friendships and focus!

Ballet School Rumours is the third book in the Amberwood Hall Ballet School Adventure Series and I absolutely loved reading it. This is a Paranormal Children’s story that I couldn’t get enough of. This is recommended for ages 8 and up but I think anyone can enjoy reading it.This may be a short story but its packed with adventure, drama, ghosts and friendship and more. This authors style of writing along with her creative characters and attention to detail makes for an amazing story. What will happen when rumours start to fly after an online gossip column is started? There is rumoured to be supernatural presence at Amberwood Hall. Lauren is worried about her ghost friends Grace and Rodney. Will Lauren loose a friend over wicked whispers? Will friendships be lost? I highly recommend reading this cute story to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

This was a wonderfully written for young adult girls, especially ones that are interested in or already taking dance classes. The author has put so much into this story that I didn’t want to put it down. It does include some paranormal activity and characters which make the book even more interesting. When considering this book, think Hogwarts School of Magic but a school of dance. This contained a lot of laughs, tears, bullies, and close-knit friendships. Most of all it contains a wonder life lesson that all females need to learn. Especially our young females. We need more books like this. I highly recommend that you get this book for your kids. They will enjoy it.

This is the 3rd book in the Amberwood Hall Ballet School series. This is a really fun series for young readers. It is a beautiful mix of a story that includes themes that young readers relate to. This is a fun story involving friendships, both paranormal and real and the problems that can occur.
We are back with Lauren and her friends at Ballet School. When her friend Katie decides to start a wall for gossip it seems like a good idea. Until rumours start about the strange things going on at the school. When one student inparticular decides he’s going to get to the bottom of it Lauren becomes concerned for her ghost friends Grace and Rodney. In the lead up to the school production the rumours start to turn more sinister in nature and starts to cause rifts between the friends. Can Lauren find out who is causing the rumours before it destroys her friendships?

I love how the protagonist isn’t what you would typically think of as a main character. A ghost as the main is just brilliant! Without getting into spoilers, I love that she started out with a selfish (albeit worthwhile) mission. But she ends up understanding the real reason to complete it and doesn’t really care about the outcome for herself. The secondary main is such a sad character at the start, but she really grows as a character. I’m excited to see how the author continues this series with a ghost as the main.

I accidentally read this thinking that it was the second in the series, but I’m still happy to have read it. The author, as always, does an amazing job describing the technical bits of ballet. I can picture the scenes in my head without any effort. I love that Grace and Lauren continued to be joint protagonists. The added element of Nyree was just amazingly sweet. Now I need to go back and read the second entry to get to know the boys who have joined this world.

I wish I had began with book 1, but that will be my next read. I have been reading more YA stories lately and enjoying them, and this one moved quickly to the top of my list. This story had a number of great elements within it, and a wonderful cast of characters to play it out. The emphasis of friend ship, loyalty, honesty, and drama all entwined in this paranormal mystery is a great read for all ages. You will fall in love with Lauren, Grace, and Rodney instantly and will feel like your right beside them trying to solve this mystery.

This is a good junior range book. I read this one as a standalone, but may back up and read the first two or even have my daughters (8 and 9) read them. I had no issues reading this book as a standalone book. This book has several solid messages to it, such as not judging someone by rumors that you hear, and talking through issues with friends instead of just ignoring them and letting the issue continue to worsen.
Lauren and her friends are well formed characters and the story pulled me in pretty quickly and makes me want to read the rest of this series. Lauren and her friends, Katie, Ethan, Mark, Jay and the rest of the Year 10 students attend Amberwood Hall, a boarding school in which not only are academics important, but the students are also focused on ballet. Lauren, however, also has the ability to see the schools ghosts, though she is the only one who can. Lauren has befriended the ghosts, so she is desperate to help them in any way possible when a fellow student starts trying to find proof that they exist using an EMF device.
I would definitely recommend it for girls who are in upper grade school or lower middle school, though I do feel that it’s important to note that as the author is British, and the book is set in the Britain, there are some terms that will be different from the US terminology.

This book is great for teenagers who enjoy dance, suspense, and teenage drama. Lauren is at Amberwood Hall school of ballet. Her one passion in life is dance. She is able to see Grace and Rodney who are ghosts in the school from the 1800’s. They are all close friends as such, as only she can see them. Her best friend Kate puts up an online website for students to talk about things they are interested in or things happening around school. It was a great idea until stuff starts to get posted that can affect them all. Can Kate and Lauren’s friendship survive? Read and find out.

This is a quick and easy YA paranormal story that can appeal to people of most ages. The story is quick to pick uo even if you haven’t read the previous books, although it would be my recommendation to read them in order. The characters are all likeable and believable. It is easy to imagine kids of this age doing and saying the same things. I thought the author did a great job of portraying the age range and connecting with a range of audiences. This is an easy to read and likeable series that any fan of the genre worked enjoy.

A delightfully charming and cheeky read for a pre-teen/tween. This is the third installment in this series and while this could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading from the beginning so you can thoroughly appreciate the characters and plot. I really enjoyed Dixon’s characters and the relatable predicaments they got themselves into. I think a lot of young girls will relate to the main character, Lauren. I really enjoyed this quick read and would recommend this book to any young kiddo who enjoys ghosts, friends, and dance.

I was really intrigued by the synopsis for this book and I wasn’t sure that I was going to enjoy but I loved that I was pleasantly surprised. The story was really easy to follow and I really liked the characters. When I first started the story I actually wasn’t aware it wasn’t the first book in the series and I think although I would have had a better understanding of some of the things going on had I read the previous two books I was quite happy reading it as a standalone however I would like to read the first two also as this was a great read. The characters were really likeable and relatable – I think it was easy to imagine yourself as a student at the ballet school. I think this would definitely be a great series for younger readers but I also really enjoyed it as an adult!

This is the third book in the Amberwood Hall Ballet School Adventure series. This book is definitely for younger readers but I still enjoyed reading it. Although I haven’t read the earlier books in the series, I easily connected to Lauren the main character and her friends and family. The opening chapter made me think of my days as a student in school and being part of a group of people who share common interests. I think many young readers would love this series as it includes fun moments with friends and classmates, shared expectations from parents, and it includes some paranormal aspects but nothing really scary.

Ballet School Rumours is the third book in the Amberwood Hall Ballet School Adventures series by Eleanor Dixon. This book continues the Amberwood Hall adventures and is a wonderful paranormal children’s story with ghosts, friendship, drama, fun, mystery, ballet/dancing, and more. With the school magazine starts a gossip wall it brings an influx of speculation about there being a supernatural manifestation at the school. With rumours flying and causing problems things get complicated and friendships are threatened… Is there something sinister at play? What happens makes for an intriguing read. I have enjoyed following this charming series, and this book is a wonderful addition to the other two books. It could be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading right from the beginning to fully appreciate the story and characters. Another great little story for all ages!

To be honest I didn’t know what to expect when I began reading this. This book has a target demographic of young teen but let me tell you it is such a cute quick read that I, a grown woman, loved. It has the typical teen drama like gossip, not liking the younger students, and the normal growing pains. This book has an amazing storyline and great characters that everyone can relate to, whether that is a teen or an adult reliving their childhood. The whitty ghost really makes this a page turner. I wanted to know what would happen next. There are great life lessons in this book that I wasn’t expecting. I would highly recommend this book to any one. I would especially recommend it to any teen that is starting to have a love for reading. They will relate to it and feel accomplished since it is an easy read. What a fun, paranormal adventure Lauren goes on to figure out who started the rumour about the ghosts. An entertaining romp for the young readers that will entertain them with an easy to read story and enjoyable characters. Laurent’s best friends are ghosts. Can she save them in time? It’s a quick read with positive tone. I enjoyed it and I’m sure my granddaughters will also. I’d recommend it.
