3 out of 5 stars

Everwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies-to-Lovers Billionaire Romance is my first entry to books by Stacy-Deanne. While I had a hard time connecting to the storyline of this book, both characters were well written and developed. I struggled with the plot as it was slow at times, and the ending seemed to wrap it all up to quickly, the setting of the book was beautiful, and the description of the property was breathtaking.
Lovers of history, romance, and a bit of mystery will enjoy this book. 3 out of 5 Stars

This story is a very quick read and it draws you in from the first chapter. You will understand each of Colton and Zenni’s reasons for wanting the plantation. The love that they try to deny throughout the book is super cute. It’s the rich guy that wants to tear it down and the girl that feels it’s the last memories she has of her family. This book does touch on slavery and shows you two completely different views on it. One is pain and suffering, the other is trying to preserve the history. The angst that the characters feel for each other is felt throughout the book. It is such a sweet burn romance. The book has you constantly asking who will prevail and if so will they be able to love each other. Can they put their differences aside and make the best of the situation and have a happily ever after? These questions are what kept me turning the page. It will be a fast, interesting, slow burn romance read that you didn’t know you needed until you finish it.
