Libby Kay is a brand new to me author. It seems her genre are warm, cozy, comforting, holiday romance stories that are incredibly feel good books that take place in Buckeye Falls, Ohio. Falling Home is a second chance romance between Ginny and her ex-husband Max. It was a throughly enchanting read that due to its size was so easy for me to devour, very quickly. I’m actually looking forward to reading the rest of her backlog of books!

This is the first book I’ve read by author Libby Kay, but I’m so glad I picked it up. The quant small town of Buckeye Falls with its unique townsfolk help to enrich the story of Ginny & Max. This is a fun fast read second chance romance that will have you wanting to read more about the people of Buckeye Falls. If you enjoy wonderful humor, great characters, and everyday small town life especially around Christmas then this book is definitely for you. I personally loved seeing how Max and Ginny grew throughout the years since their divorce and how they found their way back into each other’s arms!

Ginny returns from New York City to help her father who is having hip surgery before Christmas. What Ginny doesn’t know is that he ex husband and her father are friends – they connected through the pain of Ginny’s moving to NYC. What will being in the same town as Max do to her life plans? Can the two of them find common ground and love again?
This is the first book in the Buckeye Falls series. The author did a beautiful job of world and character building. It’s so good, I feel like I could be part of the series living in a small town. Not only do we meet Ginny and Max but several other characters join in the fun of helping with the Christmas Jubilee.

This book follows Ginny Meyers a New York transplant heading home to take care of her father for the holidays while he is recovering form surgery. Ginny has stayed far from her small town since leaving two years ago. Mostly in an attempt to avoid seeing her Ex-Husband Max. But when she accidentally volunteers to help with the marketing for the Christmas Jubilee all that goes out the window. Will she be able to keep him at arm’s length or will she finally realize what she walked away from for her career. This cute contemporary romance is the perfect read for the holiday season. This is the first book in the Buckeye Falls series. It’s a sweet holiday romance, perfect for curling up by the fire for an easy read.
It’s written nicely, flowing well making for an easy read. The characters are written well and each have their own personalities.
I really enjoy characters which show development as the story progresses, and this book has them. Ginny for example, beginning by trying to avoid all things Christmas, but finding herself getting more and more involved and developing as a person as it happens. Her and Max share a past and they get the chance (with a little help from the Christmas spirit) to rekindle their relationship.
You can’t help but get involved in their lives and wanting the happily ever after that often comes with the season.
A sweet romance which would be quick and easy to read around the holidays.

Falling Home (Buckeye Falls #1)Falling Home by Libby Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After reading Falling Home, I desperately want a trip to a cozy Midwest town where everyone feels like family. I found myself falling in love with Buckeye Falls, Ginny (one of the protagonist)’s father and his companion, Mona, and of course, Ginny’s ex-husband but still love of her life, Max.
Ms. Kay jumped back and forth from Ginny and Max’s perspectives, and sometimes you found yourself wanting to shake either one of them (like you do with friends in real life when you know they can’t get out of their own way!) but ultimately it felt like reading a Hallmark movie, and I’m sold. Super cute cozy romance, and perfect for the upcoming holiday season!

Falling Home (Buckeye Falls Book 1) by Libby Kay is a great romance story

Ginny Meyer, a transplant from New York, goes back to her little hometown to assist her father in recovering from surgery, but she doesn’t anticipate any issues. No decorating cookies, no Christmas caroling, and most definitely no time with her ex-husband, Max. The issue is that she has been enlisted to assist with the Christmas Jubilee, and one of her ex-partners is involved in the preparations. Her attempts to stay away from Max are now a vaporous cloud of glitter. Max Sanchez is much in love with his ex-wife, Christmas, and his diner. The woman who shattered his heart and moved out of town has been missing from his life for the past two years, and he will do everything to see her.

Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.I can’t wait to read more from this series.

This is the first book in this series!  This story is about Max Sanchez and his ex-wife Ginny. So make sure that you read this one first, otherwise you will be a little confused like I was. I absolutely loved this book!!!! Max is a chef who met Ginny while in school. He moved back to Buckeye Falls, Ohio once his parents decided to retire and move to Florida. Ginny is a marketing genius for a company in New York (which is where she moved to, she fled Buckeye Falls and Max). The question is now, do they still love each other and it is really worth the risk with a possible heartbreak again? I had wondered this through out the story. It seemed like they… I really don’t want to spoil the book. Please remember to read this one first and then book 2.

Falling Home is such a cozy romance story. Ginny left her husband behind to follow her promising career. When she comes back home to take care of her dad, she never expected to find Max in her dad’s house. I absolutely enjoyed reading Ginny’s quest to discover who she is and where she belongs. If you enjoy small town romance, then this is the book for you.

In the story, Falling Home, we follow Ginny and her life and love. I didn’t read the Buckeye Falls series in order so I knew a bit about Ginny already from book two. This didn’t deter me from reading Falling Home since it was just Ginny’s life story and reminding love. It was nice to see another person in the series’ story come to life. I definitely recommend the Buckeye Falls series.

Ginny Meyer is returning home to help her dad who is having surgery. Her plan is to stay by his side and avoid ex-husband Max Sanchez. She cannot deny she still holds a torch for him but seeing him would just hurt her more. The plan falls apart though when she sees Max and her dad makes it known he wants them together. Max knows he was absent in his marriage, he just wants Ginny back. Now she is home and he has an opportunity to win her back, can they forget the past and make a fresh start?

This was a fun one. I especially liked the fact that the author let the characters have honest emotions. I thought this book was filled with a lot of the emotions one would have about returning home to a past that held hurt, hope and more. Really good story.

I just fell in love with Ginny the moment I met her 😍oh my gosh she had me in stitches while waiting for her rental car 😂and then her road trip began and who needs Christmas carols when you can listen to true crime podcasts 🙈😂

Ginny is heading to Buckeye Falls to visit her dad Harold but it’s also where her ex lives and runs his diner , Max is a nice guy and they parted on pretty good foot ….

Max runs his diner like a well oiled machine with the the help of Evan and CeCe and they are a magic team and they made me laugh

Ginny works for a real witch and I’m so darn proud of her for standing up to her ! Ginny put Ginny first and that’s just marvelous ! Harold needs her as did Max and well she needed them and the people of Buckeye Falls❣️

Max always loved Ginny and pined for her and what they had so watching them rekindle their relationship was a privilege and honour and I loved every minute !

There always has to be that one person that bugs you and in this case it’s Anthony Snyder , nie the mayor of the town but he’s been a thorn in Max’s side since way back when and I must say I would’ve punched his lights out a long time ago and while I was really judgmental of him even he managed to soften my heart towards him but he had to work really hard 😂🤭

Harold is a real sweetheart and he and Max share a special bond and I think he’d been cheering these 2 all the way and was playing Cupid all along 😉😋

CeCe and her story has me intrigued , what or who has her all emotional ? I can’t wait to have her secrets revealed to me 😌

Falling Home is about a woman, named Ginny, who returns to her small hometown to take care of her father while he is recovering from a pending surgery. She returns to a lot of people who are excited to have her back in town, including her ex-husband Max.

This was an adorable story about getting a second chance with someone that you miss and wish you never would have lost. It is set in the perfect, small town environment. The cherry on top is the time of the year. I am a sucker for Christmas romances. I really enjoyed the writing style from the author and the story is adorable. I’m not going to ruin the ending for you. If you want to know if Max and Ginny worked things you, you’ll need to pick up the story yourself.

On the other hand, Max has been missing Ginny and doing all he can to put his love for her into the diner. When they’re partnered for the Christmas Jubilee, Max sees his last chance to get Ginny back. I recommend this quick read, with a happily ever after!

I’m a big believer in 2nd chances (if deserved). I really liked the lost love and finding it again aspect of the story. Ginny & Max are very lovable characters.

Falling Home by Libby Kay is a heart-warming, second-chance love story. It follows small-town high-school sweethearts Ginny and Max years after their divorce and Ginnys subsequent move to the big city. Going home to help her Father through surgery, Ginny isn’t exactly excited about being home or the holidays but she’s less excited to run into her ex-husband Max. However, life isn’t predictable and neither is the heart – putting both Max and Ginny into real, relatable situations. I liked the characters and the story left me intrigued to read the next book in the series.

I love second chance romance stories and this one was right up my alley! I really enjoyed the author’s easy writing style. The story reads from Ginny and Max’s point of view. He is a patient loving guy and wants nothing but happiness for Ginny. She just want to chase her dreams. When she has to come back home to help her father she starts to question what her dreams really are. Would walking away from her life in the city really make her happy or resent Max forever? This story is such a sweet read and you really will fall in with Buckeye Falls. I am looking forward to reading more from this author and more about this small town!

I loved this book! A light and feel-good story. Ginny returns to her small home town of Buckeye Falls, OH, after living in New York City for 2 years. Even though she came home to take care of her father who was having hip surgery, Ginny agrees to work with her ex-husband, Max, to plan the town’s holiday Jubilee. The characters in this story feel genuine to me – they go to work, they need hip replacements, they grocery shop – all things that make them more relatable. I enjoyed the characters’ interactions with one another. Just as the characters feel genuine, so do their interactions. I couldn’t wait to keep reading until the end!

This was definitely a cozy book to read during the Christmas season. A lot of people use this time to learn how to love again and get back in the Christmas spirit. Max still lives in Buckeye Falls, Ohio, and misses his Ex-Wife, Ginny. She comes back to visit her Dad after he had surgery. This became Max’s moment to get her back. He tries to win her over with Quesadillas and Christmas spirit. Ginny wanted nothing to do with Christmas, but was ringed into helping the town this year, and with Max. Falling Home: A Buckeye Falls Novel by Libby Kay

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The author is one of my favorites this year. Falling Home had me hooked and it was very hard to put down. Falling Home is the first book in A Buckeye Falls Series. It is definitely worth a read.

Ginny hasn’t been home since she divorced her ex husband. When her dad is due to have surgery she goes back to her hometown to take care of him. She doesn’t plan on seeing her ex while she’s in town, but it’s a small town. What will happen when she finds the attraction is still there? The quote I chose for Ginny is: “You are all I’ve ever wanted, Max. I am sorry it took me this long to realize that.”

Max has been in the same town for the last two years. He stayed when he wanted to run. His father in law was part of the reason while the other was the diner. He hears his ex is back in town and wants nothing more than to see her. Can he get her back or will he be heartbroken again? The quote I chose for Max is: “I think you’re going to leave again. I think you’re not coming back from New York this time; at least not in a capacity to see me. I think I’m tired of always being the one left behind, so excuse me if I don’t want to prolong the inevitable. It is brutal being taken for granted like this.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Falling Home: A Buckeye Falls Novel

I think I may have fallen in love with Buckeye Falls while reading this book. The idea of cold does nothing for me but thus is definitely a town I could see myself spending summer months in and maybe a quick trip at Christmas for the Jubilee.

Growing up in a large metro area I have never understood the appeal of the hustle and bustle and I still don’t get it. There is something refreshing about a small town and Buckeye Falls definitely falls into that category.

This was a great second chance romance, Max and Ginny are so good together even when they aren’t necessarily together and oh my even if Harold is closer to may age, how adorable is he? Oh and Mona too.

This is the second book I have had the pleasure to read by this author recently, and I’m definitely becoming a fan.
