Jack was taking his dog Shank for a walk to a friends house when Shank sat down to scratch his ear. Right away Jack thought he might have a flea. He tried everything from flea powder, vinegar, a bath, smelly perfume among other things. Still no one saw a flea so together with his friends, Jack took shank to the vet when they figured, maybe shank just had an itch.

Tally and the Angel: The Sands of Time is Book Four in the Tally and the Angel Series. This fun series is intended for middle school kids between the ages of 11 to 13 years of age. In their newest adventure Tally and her sidekick angel, Jophiel, are in the Greek Islands. Now that Tally is a bit older, she is starting to notice boys and one boy named Theo has caught her attention. Things are not as they seem on the surface and although Tally has always followed her angel’s advice and heeded his warnings this time those warnings may fall on deaf ears. The ensuing adventure is full of mystery, danger, drama, action, with Greek Mythology mixed in. A great read for all ages with engaging characters and a wonderfully written story.

Dinopotamus Solves a Mystery is a cute book but we wish it had better illustrations. I think it is a good effort for the author, who likely drew the images herself. The story is good and I like the diversity of the children. While it is a cute story, my 8 year old pointed out a animal who puts off heat likely wouldn’t have heat vision. But I soon reminded him a Dinopotamus is not a real animal so anything is possible. I love how thoughtful Dinopotamus is and how well the school children and teacher accepted him into their class. We have read other books in the series and they are all adorable.

This was such a cute and funny book! I read this with both of my kiddos who are 8 and 12 years old. Although my oldest is a bit out of the targeted audience, she still enjoyed the shenanigans. Our furry friend, Shank, has an itch to scratch, and his owner, Jack, thinks he has fleas. Jack and his friends try a number of solutions, but nothing is working. I thought this was a great book that had us all giggling and highlighting that brainstorming before jumping into action can be beneficial. It’s always great to see friends working together and also learning how to take care of our pets. I highly recommend this for your classroom or home library to share with the young ones in your life!

This was a cute and quick read that would be perfect for young kids. I love that the illustrations look like drawings colored with crayon. The class Dino, that can see heat spots the children can not, solves how to keep the children warm for their nap time.

What a cute story. The dog has an itch and everyone has to solve the problem. My grandson actually sat and read this to me. That’s a win by itself. He laughed at all the solutions they came up with. He’s autistic and felt the vet solution is the one that should have been first. He’s a logic thinker. I loved how it opened up a conversation for us. I loved the colorful illustrations. It’s a neat book that teaches about dogs. A definite must for a kid’s library.

Rocky the raccoon is going to his first ever family reunion. He has never met any of them, so he is a bit nervous. His parents moved to the city before they had him and they never went back to the country to visit before. His mom and dad tell him that it will be okay and he will get to meet and make friends with new family members. It doesn’t help his nerves though. When they get there he meets so many people and names are thrown around so fast that there is no way he can remember. Joking his uncle tells him there is a test on names later. He watches as everyone starts games. He can’t swim so he doesn’t play the first game. He doesn’t like eggs so he doesn’t play the second game. For the fourth game everyone has partners but him. He’s not having the best of times. But when the final game comes about he is the perfect teammate. He was born in the city so it gives him a leg up on dumpster diving. He teaches the rest of the family what to do and he starts to have fun. He makes plans with Rascal (a cousin) to come back and learn the other games and maybe even have them come to the city. It’s such a cute story and book. Rocky leaves happy and excited for another visit. I’d recommend this book for younger kids (10 and under). Maybe a first library even.
I am so happy to see another Tally installment. In this book Tally and her dad are on a Greek island. I have a feeling that most people are interested in Greek Mythology, as am I, so that immediately pulled me in. I loved learning about the history and culture right along with her. In this book Tally faces many challenges and tough decisions. She gets to experience so much with her dad, making many new friends everywhere she goes. Here in Greece, she gets to learn to scuba dive, enjoy the sea, and discover ancient temples. Tally and her Angel Jophiel always have an adventure and reading as and adult its magical, I can’t imagine how wonderful it would be for kids to read and what they can learn and dream up.

“No One Could See the Flea” is a delightful and humorous tale that teaches children an important lesson about the dangers of assumption. The story is well-written and easy to follow, making it perfect for early readers or for reading aloud to younger children.

Cute read about helping others. Everything about the Dinopotamus series is amazing the easy to comprehend stories for all ages and how they always involve so many life lessons in them. This one was no different Lois Wickstrom shows not only how to help others, Dinopotamus making a warm nap spot for the children but also alternate forms of communication. Just because someone or something can’t talk doesn’t mean they can’t communicate with you in other ways if you just pay attention. My younger son was nonverbal until he was three, currently seven and he loved this book, and remembers using sign language to communicate in other ways.
Anytime I pick up a Terri Sabol book I know it’s going to be a treasure. This book shows the amazing ways youngsters overcome anxiety. Rocky is going to his first family reunion and doesn’t know anyone other than his parents and sister. The moment a struggle appears he overcomes his worries and speaks up to help everyone. Classic style illustrations mixed with the story gave me some childhood memories of the American Tails movies.
Heads up the eBook had a slight mix up in one place with the pages being reversed. The pages with the egg eating contest.
This is a cute children’s book about the anxiety of new experiences and trusting others to help feel included. Rocky has never met his family that lives in the country, and he is very nervous. But when his cousins get stuck in a dumpster, Rocky helps save them.

The Orange Forest Rabbit is a business rabbit, and he sells the carrots he grows around the Orange Forest, and they are the best carrots out there! The stories are a great combination of mystery, sci fi and fantasy. I would say they are a great introduction to this genre. As always Lois writing is incredible and really pulls you in.

My household loves it when I bring another book home by this author, and this was no exception! We have read so many of their picture books for younger readers, but the chapter books such as these have been so amazing. My kiddos are 8 and 12 years old so they are the perfect target audience for this wonderful book. Even though I am far past the target age range, I definitely enjoyed reading this as well. There are three short mysteries inside this book and they were all great adventures. The author does an amazing job setting the scene and developing characters and plot well enough for an intriguing story, but still at the proper level for kiddos. I highly recommend picking this up and sharing with the younger ones in your life. You will find yourself enjoying it just as much!
I picked up this book because I love Percy Jackson and there was Greek mythology involved. It is also a modern day tale mixed with mythology, this book is fourth in the series. But I was able to read it as a standalone. The protagonist Tally inherits a mysterious necklace , which houses an Angel, Jophiel. Together they embark on adventures around the world, in this case, the Greek islands and the ancient temples. There are stories inspired from the Greek myths, Greek customs and food. The story has suspense, drama, friendship, family and character building. This is a perfect book for middle schoolers. I would recommend it for anyone. I am planning to pick up more from this series.

He finds himself in unfamiliar situations but soon finds the courage to speak up and help when there is a problem. This is a great book to teach kids how to find their courage in new situations.

I really think many children will enjoy this book. It involves a mystery that had some surprises. The story had many twists and turns that kept me interested in finding out how it ends. The author has created a vibrant story that will bring joy to any kid who love mysteries and figuring out what happened. I enjoy this author’s stories and highly recommend them to anyone who’s child loves to read.

This is the thrilling fourth adventure novel in the Tally and the Angel series. There is enough back story woven throughout so that’s this book stands alone well. The adventure and drama in the story is appropriate for the 8-14 she group. The Greek mythology in this story is entertaining and relatable for kids!

I’m discovering this author for the first time. My oldest little one and I read this book together. It took us a couple days because we had to take breaks, but not because we wanted to. Lol we didn’t want to stop. It was such a good read. I personally love Greek mythology so now I can share that with my little one with a fun age appropriate book🥰. We enjoyed this action filled adventure that Tally went on. He said since we started on the fourth book he wanted to go back and read the others and I agree. They will be going into our tbr pile.i highly recommend reading this, especially if you enjoy reading books like Percy Jackson.

This is the fourth book in the Tally and the Angel series. These books are written for middle school aged children and are great adventures which are entertaining for children of all ages. I love the authors attention to detail and I’m this book we focus on Greek Mythology. We are back with Tally and her angel who we meet in book one and since then we have been on several adventures and this one is no exception. Tally’s angel is there to guide and protect her from danger and is a sense of comfort to Tally since the passing of her mum. Tally has always listened to her angels warnings and cautions however things maybe changing. As Tally is getting older she starts to notice boys and when she is visiting the greek islands with her father one boy called Theo catches her eye. However things aren’t what they seem and what unfolds is an adventure that has danger, excitement, mythological beings and an important decision which could change the relationship between Tally and her angel for good. I do highly recommend these books and my son loves me reading them to him. I would recommend reading them in order so you can get a complete understanding of Tally and her angel and how they came to be together and the adventures they have already been on together.

I absolutely loved the other books and couldn’t wait to for this one. I have to say it did not disappoint either. It was another engaging story of tally and her little guardian angle that helps her along the way. tally is a very strong-willed girl that kind of does her own thing and seem to always get in a little trouble but ends up winning in the end. And once again this story did the same. This book was very well written and developed with the characters that it making you really feel like you know them personally. This one sweeps us off to Greece and learning about today’s culture, but also, it has a little Greek Mythology twisted into this story. this book was very intriguing, and I couldn’t put it down like the other ones, highly recommend thou you start at the beginning.

Raccoon Reunion by Terri Sabol. This is such a fun book for kids with a very important lesson as well. Its about a raccoon named Rocky who is going to a family reunion. Rocky has never met most of these people and is so nervous about going and seeing strangers. When they arrive Rocky shuts down and won’t talk to anyone. He finally realizes that its ok to meet strangers and they can be quite fun. I read this story to my 6 year old nephew and he loved it. He struggles with anxiety as do I and the book is super relatable. This author is becoming one of our favorites. Its also got really cook pictures in it. This is a great book for the young one in your life!
