A fun counting book. Engaging and fun, this book will have many children counting along. Fantastic illustrations make this book all the more entertaining. Highly recommend all the books in this series of Ocean and Marine Life books.

A fun and engaging read. This book gives readers of all ages interesting facts about animals. We are treated to twenty-six different animals and facts on each one. I enjoyed getting to see the picture of each animal’s nose first and then getting some facts about the animal. It was nice to see different animals for each letter and not just the usual ones that are used in these types of books. The animal facts are interesting and I loved the added weird facts. This is a good book for all animal lovers, young and old.

Dinopotamus Goes To School is the first Lois Wickstrom book I “wasn’t sure of”. My daughter will be 8 in a couple months and I thought the story might be a little “young” for her but being a big fan of the author, we gave it a try. She loved the story and had a lot of fun reading it to me. The illustrations were adorable and as always, there was a subtle lesson while having fun reading along. Another great children’s book!

I found this book to be interesting and informative. This is a cute book that shows you a snoot and asks you to guess whose it is. Of course, I guessed a few right but not all of them.”. On the next page it tells you the animal it goes too.
I may get this book for my grandson to read to his sister. I think they will both enjoy it.

The Big Book of Booper Snoots is a non-fiction children’s picture book. It could be enjoyed for younger children learning their alphabet and animals, as each page contains an animal starting with that letter. However, it also would be great for older readers, as it is full of fun facts about said animals. I am an adult, and learned soooo much from this book. My 8 year old enjoyed it too. It is quite long, so we didn’t read it in one setting- which is unusual for a children’s book. However, we still loved it and would be a great book to have in any personal of class/school library. It was not bad as an e-book either, with good sizing and picture clarity.

I just finished reading Ten Little Sandpipers to my grandboys and they wanted to start reading this one straightaway.
As with the other wonderful books Ten Little Sea Turtles is one of the Marine Life Counting Collection. Doesn’t matter what young age the kids are they will be enchanted when they see the little Sea Turtles and learn all about them, where they are found and other things about Marine life.
This counting book it is full of fun facts and educational information. The bright and colourful pictures help the story along and which is told in an interactive and rhyming way.
With a bright spark in their eyes, I could see their little imaginations working as they learned about life under the sea by counting. The added bonus that Kim has included is for you to download a song that makes it even more fun to learn.
As with the others this adorable adventure story helps bring the sea to life for little ones.

Ten Little Sandpipers is a delightful tale that is a part of the Marine Life Counting Collection that is suited for children aged between 1 to 6 years of age. Don’t know what a Sandpiper is? Well by the time you finished reading this you will as it is full of educational information and facts.
This fun and colourful picture and counting book will help imaginative little minds learn to count in an entertaining way. This interactive tale is told through rhyme which makes it easier to retain. But wait there is more! Kim has included a QR code for you to download a song that makes it that much more fun to learn.
This wonderful adventure story helps bring nature to the indoors.

3Dinopotamus Goes to School by Lois Wickstrom

Another family favorite! Dinopotamus just wants to go to school to learn just like the other kids but quickly realizes he is not quite the same. My neice and nephew devoured this book just as they do any other Wickstrom book I bring them. I love the life lessons the stories always include, such as inclusiveness, and there is nothing wrong with being a little different. As usual, the book was well written, and the illustrations were eye-catching. I would recommend this book to others.

Oscar and Emmy’s First Christmas is the fifth book in the Oscar and Emmy series by Terri Sabol, but takes us right back to the beginning when Oscar and Emmy were kittens, spending their first Christmas with their newly adopted furever family. It is a cute, uplifting children’s story that is woven around some really lovely illustrations.
This is an adorable story, and we follow along as the kittens experience all the wonders of Christmas- getting into a little mischief along the way. Climbing the Christmas tree and delighting in all the wonderful holiday additions to the home, and holiday traditions that make Christmas such a special time of the year. It made for a very charming adventure story, with all the trademark touches I have come to expect form Terr Sabol’s stories. The illustrations, as expected, were delightful, interesting, colourful, and engaging.
Another heartwarming story to add to the series. And even though this is the fifth book in the series, it could be read as a standalone, without feeling like you are missing anything that has happened in the other books. But having said that, each book contains its own adventure- they are all cute stories that the young, and young at heart, will enjoy reading. My grandson loved reading this book with me and seeing what Oscar and Emmy got up to on their Christmas adventure. Well worth the read.

Oscar and Emmy Weather a Hurricane is the second book in the Oscar and Emmy series by Terri Sabol. This was an interesting children’s adventure story, with an important message about being prepared in the event of a natural disaster.
We all know the importance of having emergency kits packed and ready in case a disaster hits, and having all the things we might need packed and stored ready for use. But when you are new to having a pet in your life, you might overlook having an emergency kit packed and ready with all the things that your pet/s will need (as well as all you family’s needs), or just remembering to check the kits regularly and to replace expired items. So, this is a helpful reminder and covers everything you will need to include in a pet emergency kit (things such as food and water, medications, leashes/collars, pet crates, potty supplies etc).
The story is inspired by the author’s own experience/s during natural disasters.
Another great instalment in the Oscar and Emmy series.

Dinopotamus Goes to School is a part of the Dinopotamus Series by Lois Wickstrom. This is such a cute story about Dinopotamus. He watches the other children daily and does what they do. As they go to school he goes to school too. We get to see how fun it is for Dinopotamus to learn and he handles doing things even though he is different. This is such a great way to show children how fun learning is. It also teaches a great lesson on how to adapt to various situations. The illustrations are wonderful. They remind you of something you would be able to learn how to do yourself. This is another fun book by Lois Wickstrom.

Dinopotamus just wants to be one of the kids and do what they do – play, go to school, learn things. Unfortunately, Dinopotamus is half T-Rex and half hippopotamus, which means they are much bigger than the children and has difficulty even fitting in through the school door!
In this story, children learn about differences and the importance of finding solutions so everyone can join in, but in a cute, fun story.
I would say that children aged 4-8 would enjoy this story.

This was a cute little story about Dinopotamus who so desperately wanted to play and join in the fun of the children he saw. He joined all their fun including going to school. The story is about inclusion and the love of learning. It is an enjoyable story and I recommend it to anyone with children who love to read and explore new ideas.

We have enjoyed several of Oscar and Emmy’s adventures and this one has a little deeper meaning. I like that Terri has written a tale about animals and what it is to be prepared for them in an emergency situation. We are able to find many things in regard to preparation for humans but little for our furry friends.
This fun tale is aimed at children aged 3 – 9 years and is told through the POV of kittens and children. It shares the importance of what is happening, being safe and prepared, having loving friends around you in a scary time and helping others. Adults could learn a thing or two as well.
As always, the illustrations by Natalie Merheb are beautifully done and bring the story to life.

“Not So Little Things” by Kyle Ann Robertson is a captivating audiobook that delves into the complexities of family dynamics and the power of communication. The story follows Tina Edwards, a 33-year-old miniature room artist, who is still haunted by the memory of her father’s sudden death and her mother’s abandonment.
The author’s writing is engaging and well-paced, with a strong focus on character development and emotional depth. The narrator’s performance is also excellent, bringing the characters to life with her clear and expressive voice.
One of the standout aspects of this audiobook is its exploration of the impact of miscommunications and misperceptions on family relationships. The story shows how these misunderstandings can lead to unwarranted pain and separation, and how confronting them can lead to healing and closure.
The audiobook is also full of vivid descriptions of the Victorian mansion and its intricate details, which will transport listeners to a different time and place.

I absolutely love the Oscar and Emmy series. Sabol does such a great job of teaching pet responsibility in such a way that children, and adults alike, forget they are learning. This time Oscar and Emmy have to weather a hurricane and all of the scary things that come with that. Abby and Charlie quickly learn what it takes to not only keep themselves safe during severe weather but also their pets. Sabol does such a great job informing her readers with fantastic information from reliable sources.

Wonderful book! I loved everything about this book. There is so much to learn and many weird and fun facts. I like that on each animal the author tells what a group of that particular animal is, like who knew a group of giraffes is called a tower? So fun! Kids are already interested in animals and this book is great for them to learn about some of their favorites. I really appreciate all the work that went into all the research and facts on each animal in this book.

What a wonderful way to teach kids about pets and preparing for disasters. I loved the pet disaster kit. It’s a terrific story that’s informative and very caring. I’ve enjoyed the Oscar and Emmy series. The pictures are bright and catch the child’s attention. This is a must for any cat families.

Terri Sabol is an accomplished children’s book author, renowned for her heartwarming and entertaining stories featuring the real-life adventures of her two beloved rescue kittens, Oscar and Emmy. This was a cute story! The Dinopotamus wants to be just like his friend, everything they do he tries to do. They slide down the slide so does he, the kids go to school, he follows. He finds out he has a few differences than his friends. Definitely recommend.

Under the Bandage by Lois Wickstrom is a fun and imaginative kids’ book. The story is filled with colorful illustrations and lots of creativity.
This book was great for teaching kids about how their cuts heal and about bacteria and blood cells. My son, who has a bandage on his hand right now, really enjoyed learning about how cuts heal.

This is a cute little story about a little boy and how he recovers from a scraped knee. I really liked how the book interjected facts about the body and how healing occurs. I think many children would enjoy reading the cute story and finding out about how their bodies work. I recommend this book to anyone with children who have inquiring minds and love to learn more about their body and how it heals.
