Delicious Death (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries Book 2) by Byrd Nash – Review by Megan Conley

Delicious Death (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries #2)Delicious Death by Byrd Nash
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Byrd Nash has done it again with the second installment of Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries. It is filled with humor, mystery, death, and so much more. We pick up not long after the first volume ends and both Madame Elinor Chalamet and her friend, Dr. Charlotte LaRue, are disappointed that there hasn’t been much death. That soon changes as all of Elinor’s worlds quickly collide and she has to work quickly to help solve the mysteries that plague the King’s Winter Revels.
While you don’t necessarily have to read the first volume, I highly recommend you do simply because you will have a better understanding of the characters and their relationships. I absolutely adore these novels. They are a quick read and while they do deal with paranormal and death, they don’t tend to be heavy.

Mermaid and the Water Magnifying Glass (Mermaid Science Series) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Megan Conley

The Mermaid and the Water Magnifying Glass (Mermaid Science, #3)The Mermaid and the Water Magnifying Glass by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Very cute children’s story! I love the aspect of Trezzie as the imaginary friend that not every character can see. I also love how Lois Wickstrom weaves the scientific aspect into her story while still keeping it interesting for kids. The illustrations are colorful and eye-catching as well. Definitely a great addition to the series!
