Lingering Spirits (Soul Connection Book 4) by Nikki Lynn Barrett – Review by Rachel Moss

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a really good read! This wasn’t my favorite of this series though, because I am extremely biased to the first book and I honestly don’t think it can be topped! This installment had everything I love in the rest of the series, like romance, thrills, paranormal shenanigans and a bit of mystery. This was a great addition to the series and I did enjoy reading it. This book was enthralling and a joy to read. I just find the first book really hard to top. This can be read as a standalone, but you see some recurring characters from past books that make it more enjoyable when you read from the first. I’m glad I got to go on this journey with these books, they were all awesome!

I normally don’t read historical fiction. This book is one of the better ones I have read. I like how the author had the couple defy all odds to be together. They definitely shouldn’t have been together, but they did everything they could. They really did love each other and it was such an amazing love.

This contemporary romance was so beautifully written that I couldn’t put it down. Our main characters both show so much emotion, that you can’t help but relate to them, both have been hurt before but can they open themselves back up to love again? This story was so full of emotion, births, accidents, serious obstacles that you can’t help but feel like your on a roller coaster ride that’s full of wild twists and turns. Will put characters open themselves back up? Could a happy ending be worth risking a heart break again? You’ll have to pick up a copy of this book to find out for yourself!

This is Book One of the series. It is a quick, fun, steamy read. Its funny to read how the coworkers have fun at work an after hours together. Also shows the true struggles of their everyday job. It was a great mixture in such a short story. Definitely left wanting more.

I really wish I could give this more than 5 stars! This was my favorite book of the series so far. Paley still got on my nerves but not as bad as the first two books. Van is still growing and proving herself. The side characters are still amazing. I started this as soon as I finished the second one and didn’t stop till the wee hours of the morning. It was that good! It’s filled with life lessons and I think every teenager should read it. I’m going to sweet talk mine into reading it. This author is definitely on my favorites list.

This story is pretty interesting. On one hand we have an old murder mystery to solve, while a romance may be brewing. I enjoyed the vintage aspects of the book. The clothing, language and architecture seemed spot on. The author did a great job with their research. Despite the constant flashbacks, the story is very easy to read and follow along. It kept me busy entertained from page one.

This was you run of the mill historical romance! I would have liked for the grammar to be more realistic but you really got a feel for the time period. The characters struggles were clear and it was easy to let them into your heart an want what’s best for them.

Divine Vintage by Sandra L. Young – Review by Allyson Ware

As a mystery lover, this novel enticed me right away. A very quick read, but very detailed as well. The characters are easy to get to know; as if I had already met them from prior books in the series. We all know that cannot be true because this is the only book in the series. These characters just melt your heart right away and the author does a fabulous job of capturing your attention until the very end.

I am not much of a romance reader, but this book had just the right amount of mystery along with the romance tied in which kept me hooked. This novel also has a happy ending, which I can appreciate. The author has struck my intrigue and I definitely plan on reading more of their work!

This series is something you will not want to put down and want to figure out how it is going to play out in the end!! The world-building and character development that the author produced for this series was top-notch. The author tackled the multiverse with multiple characters, who were pretty diverse in their personalities, with great skill! I truly enjoyed myself with this Science Fiction/Fantasy novel! Even though the author was well thought out and very enjoyable, I struggled a little with the back and forth reading of the multiverse groups. Then trying to remember what happened in the previous chapter/subsection when the change occurs to another point of view. I love the worlds he creates and his characters in these awesome universes! My favorites were the Isonian Empire and The United Commons of Eurotopia, as these particular universes caught my fancy! I love the Utopian feel of the United Commons of Eurotopia, and how the exploration into the new chapter unravels! I enjoy and yearn for a relationship like Rashella and Cysoro have!! The trouble that always seems to find the protagonists keep you on edge and hopeful that they will do what it takes to live up to the expectations placed on them. There is more to the story than what is on the surface and hopefully, you as the reader can find the hidden gems!

A Spider in the Garden by Courtney Davis – Review By Megan Watson

A Spider in the Garden by Courtney Davis

It’s late and I’m still not ready for this book to end! Alas, I have finished it and there is no more adventure for Arahna, Dag and Jonah. I don’t know what it is about the alpha attitude and the snarky female comebacks; but, I love them and I want more!!

Aranha is the last of her kind and as much as she resembles a spider (I’m terrified of them), she was a character I could root for and relate to. She’s just surviving with her clingy, adopted werewolf until she meets Dag and then her content life of hiding in the shadows is not possible anymore. Dag is a daywalker vampire that’s just floating under the radar as much as he can until Aranha walks into his bar one night; and then it’s all he can do to keep himself in check as he tries to win her affections and protect her at the same time.

I loved this book and really hope the author gives us more of Aranha and Dag. I didn’t want to put this book down from the very beginning and got to experience the butterflies you get when you read smitten characters. The steam was tasteful and very well written and I want so much more!!

The Traveler: Book 2 by Deborah Dugan – Review by Lorrene Huisman

The Traveler: Book 2The Traveler: Book 2 by Deborah Dugan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved the previous novel, and this one was certainly no different. I loved the story in this one, the flow of the story was more heavier than the first one, but it made me really love it. I love this authors way of writing, she really brings the story to life, and really mesmerized the reader fully in body and mind.

The Traveler is a wonderful being, this one as I have said was heavier in the sense of the things he has gone in the previous vs this one. Things he is faced with and emotions behind them, really make you feel. As the Traveler did as well. it was not all candy and sugar canes. The story was real as it can get and you literally feel everything! His impact though on the characters he meets in the story were truly impacting as well. I found even more so in this one than the previous. The journey you take in this one with The Traveler is one beyond your imagination! Loved this one just as much as I did with the previous novel!

If you didn’t get the wonderful enjoyment of the previous book in the series, I do say you should look into it. I really loved this one, and I certainly highly recommend this book as well as the series to anyone that wants an out of this world adventure. And defiantly look up the author, their a high recommendation too!

I really loved the writing of this book, and how things had flowed out. I was hooked into the whole story line and how things went by. It was well done, and the writing and the characters flowed very nicely. I was very impressed, and the story kept me very interested as I read.

Celeste was a main contribute to the story in my eyes. I loved her mind and how she really thought and saw the word. She was your normal teenager I found in a small way , she wanted more than she had going on in her life What she was ca[able of though, I found very intriguing I found. I enjoyed the excitement and the suspense as I read through, it had a lot of moments you weren’t sure where things would lead to next. The side characters really added to the story line as well, everyone was easy to love, except maybe those who meant hard. But they still made the story what it was! Loved it!

Wonderful and intriguing story from start to finish. i could not ask for a concept of writing that was better. I defiantly am going to be looking up more books by this wonderful author. I highly recommend this book, I truly believe it is one that will be enjoyed by all. Has a bit of everything.
