I really enjoyed reading Shadow. The author had my attention from the very first chapter. This book was about suspense romance with action, drama, and so much more. The women in the story took crap from no one. The storyline had you wanting to know what happens next. I didn’t want to put the book down at all. The world building was amazing. The characters and plot was well thought out. Great job!

Three Made In Heaven (Made In Heaven #1) by Elena Kincaid – Review by Kerry Carr

Three Made in Heaven (Made in Heaven, #1)Three Made in Heaven by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this romance. It was an interesting read and I love how our 3 characters all meet in their dreams it was very unique. This is a romance with a hint of danger which made the story even more gripping. I loved all 3 of our characters and their connection that was built up through their dreams is so special you just know there would be fireworks when they all come together. And boy was there.

Maddie, Cole and Charlie all meet up when they are kids in their dreams not realising that as they grow they would become soul mates. When the time is right the 3 soul mates finally meet and everything is finally right in their world. That is until a danger threatens to take Maddie from them. Cole and Charles are certain that no one will harm Maddie while they are around even if it means putting themselves at risk.

This is a steamy read but their connection and love for each other is what really brings this story to life. I loved it.

Loretta's Caterpillar (Loretta's Insects #4)Loretta’s Caterpillar by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loretta’s Caterpillar is a great book for classroom teachers to have for science/lifecycle lessons. Loretta is a very inquisitive young girl who wants to learn about the world around her. This time, she finds an egg under a leaf and watches as it goes through hatching into a caterpillar, who then turns into a beautiful Monarch Butterfly. Loretta is a role model for all young girls who are interested in “sciencey” things – if you have a little one at home, this would be a great addition to their library!

This story has the makings of a movie. It has the action and adventure of love. A classic revenge plot but with a twist of falling for the wrong guy. Viviana is just trying to get revenge for her friend but she gets that tingly feeling about Nazario. Could she get her revenge or end up dead? Maybe she’ll find love? Worth the read to find out.

The bond forming between them is making it impossible to leave her alone. The problem? Kodiak is stuck between choosing the newly forming bond, and his pack. Tamaska has to learn to trust a new world, a new bond and maybe, she will get out of this alive. Lovers of paranormal, romance, and mystery will love this new series. 4 out of 5 stars.

Master Calabrea (Masters of the Consulate Book 6) by Sylvia Black – Review by Rebeca Elliott Figueiras

Master Calabrea: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 6)Master Calabrea: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 6th book in the Masters of the Consulate series, and it’s just as good as the rest of the series.
As with the previous books, the novels are short and easy to follow, and the writing flows nicely. The novels are descriptive, and the characters are lovable and unique. I thoroughly enjoy this series and always look forward to the next book in the series.
Master Calabrea has been given an important task by the Overmaster, he is thrown in the path of Embry’s (a recurring character in previous books) cousin who is visiting. They both fight the attraction but are forced together to complete the task given to them.
I really liked the character of Tansia, she’s flawed but devoted and so strong. She’s had her share of problems but is strong enough to push forward despite her setbacks.
Although this book could technically be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend that the series be read in order to gain a deeper understanding of the ongoing story which begins in book one and to get the know the other characters a lot better.
I cannot wait for the next book to be released so I can find out what happens next and get some answers!

This is a sweet story about Grace, who is fiercely protective of her family ranch land and Ryan, who is buying up land. With their past history, it is difficult for both to forgive and move on, but when current things happening in both thier worlds bring them together, they find a way. All throughout this story, I wanted Grace and Ryan to make peace and and tell each other that their love has grown. I wanted them to put their cards down and fall into each others arms. It was so evident in how Ryan came in to support Grace, how they worked together to save the farm, and how their families were providing opportunity for them to work together that it was meant to be. <br />If you are into sweet romance with some steamy (not too much), this might be a book you could check out!

Master Calabrea: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 6)Master Calabrea: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fantastic continuation of the series! I love that Black is able to keep the flow from one Master to the next without missing a beat. I will STRESS that this is a series and you need to read them in order. They really don’t work as standalone novels, but you aren’t going to be disappointed with having to go back and read the first 5 novels 😉
We are invested in the “love/hate” relationship between Master Calabrea and Tansia. The dynamic between them is steamy, dramatic, dangerous, and so much more. This installment definitely gave me all the feels! I really love how Black develops her characters and advances her plot lines. I would classify these novels as dark, paranormal romances. If you are into sexy, possessive vampires then you definitely need to check out this series!

Book 6 in this series and I am still absolutely loving it! In this latest instalment we follow Master Calabrea as he is set the task of an enemy of the vampire community Isala. I loved the first meeting between Master Calabrea and Tansia who is on his team. There was something between them right from the very start and I enjoyed reading their story. I actually really liked Tansia, she was a great female lead in the story and could definitely hold her own, she had a history which made her an interesting character to get to know. I am really excited to see what happens in book 7 in this wonderfully dark vampire series!

Wow! A Suspense Thriller true to those words. Sam Crawford graduated high school and is ready to start her future. She has her goals set and plans to make them happen. Sam is determined and independent as well as wanting to leave her past behind.. Moving to LA she tries to make a career in acting. As things don’t progress as she likes she agrees to The Exchange. That is where this high paced and thriller of a story takes off. No Spoilers here! This author sucked me in before I finished the first chapter. Her writing is clear and easy to follow. The characters are independent and know what they want. The story has many twists and turns which make this story all the more frightening. Icontinued to read this story as I could not put it down. I Loved It! This author is new to me, and I look forward to reading more from her.

Real Movie Hero (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 2) by Debra Parmley – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Real Movie HeroReal Movie Hero by Debra Parmley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another action packed military romantic suspense which had me happily turning the pages. A fairly quick read but a great storyline and I was hooked throughout. Christie is excited to be attending the movie premiere of Turn and Deliver, a new action, adventure movie on the anniversary of D-Day. Having been looking forward to a fun girls night out all dressed up she is upset when her friend cancels, leaving Christie to go to the theatre alone. Meanwhile, Marine Reed was lucky and won a ticker via his local ration station, and he can’t believe his luck when a very attractive young lady sits in the seat next to him. Christie can’t ignore how handsome the Marine next to her is, but she’s even more thankful for sitting next to him when a live shooter fires into the crowd. Reed must act quickly and use all his skills to get himself, Christie and the others out alive, and take down the shooter. This is a fast paced story full of action, drama, suspense and romance, in which the characters and the setting come alive through the descriptive narrative. I’m enjoying this series and look forward to book 3.

Grace Under Fire (The Anderson Sisters Book 2) by Jennifer Raines – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

Grace Under FireGrace Under Fire by Jennifer Raines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Grace Under Fire is the second book in Jennifer Raines’ The Anderson Sisters series. It can be read as a standalone, as it follows a different sister from the first book, but if you plan to read both I’d recommend reading them in order to avoid spoilers.
Grace is a cheesemaker and stands to take over the farm that has been in her family for generations. She’s used to being independent and relying on herself, but is still building her business and isn’t yet ready to buy the farm. But she has to, soon, or lose it forever. Which means she’s forced to accept help from others – family, those in the community who want her to succeed. And the brother of her best friend, who she hasn’t spoken to since the friend’s suicide many years ago.
This is an emotional read about accepting help and coping with challenging situations. The relationship between Ryan and Grace is well written – they’re both open about their attraction to each other, but reluctant to get involved with each other when there is so much for them to work through. I like Ryan’s dog, Satan, who breaks the tension and helps us see Ryan’s caring side. And Bluey the farmhand is fun, always bringing a cryptic crossword clue he’s stuck on (how did the author find so many cheese-themed clues?).
This book gets five stars from me! I’d recommend it to fans of rural romances.

Echoing Hearts (The Echo Series Book 1) by C.R. Alam – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Echoing Hearts (Book 1 of The Echo Series)Echoing Hearts by C.R. Alam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance with an enemies to lovers love triangle theme, which kept me happily turning the pages. Having watched her mother have her heart broken and then deteriorating into depression, Rae Allen has vowed never to fall in love. She’s perfectly happy and certainly does not need a man as she travels the world, getting paid for it and living her dream. Likewise, Dean Rowland has sworn off women after his fiancé left him at the alter, the only way he could continue was to keep going like nothing had happened. Working all hours has definitely paid off as he now has a thriving business and more money than he will ever need. Rae and Dean’s first meeting is not great, especially as she wasn’t expecting him to be there and he thought she was trespassing on his property!
Rae admitted her first impression was that he was hot, followed by thinking he was an ass. Dean wasn’t expecting to play host to a sassy redhead all weekend, but the encounter changes both their lives forever. The chemistry between Rae and Dean sizzles off the page but I like the slow burn romance between them as well. However, when Brandon, a rockstar and Rae’s best friend arrives he stirs up jealousy and doubt between the couple. This story took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it, wondering if they would trust in love or not. The characters were brought to life, as was the setting by the descriptive narrative and I felt engaged with Rae and Dean and immersed in their story. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Master Calabrea: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 6)Master Calabrea: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Master Calabrea has been put in charge buy the Overmaster Descillia to find the traitor, Isala and bring her in. So when he meets the team his is tasked with her is drawn to the mysterious red head who is destined to be trouble.

Tansia is committed to the cause, deeply respectful of the vampire community but when her physic abilities are discovered can she feels that she is more capable of going it on her own but when Master Calabrea demands that she not take things into her own hand’s things go side wards and she is left fighting for her life. Can Calabrea find her in time to save her?

I love this series and these strong characters, this book as the rest is well written and follows the Consulate while they are trying to find the traitors in their mist, although this could be read as a standalone novel, I feel you may need a little background when it comes to the main characters.

As always, the book is fast paced and draws you in quickly into the story, I love the character of Tansia her sassy, feisty attitude is a welcome equal to the Alpha nature of Calabrea. I always love a flawed character and you get that with Tansia and her history. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Grace is working towards her goals to take over her family’s farm, but this is sped up when Grace’s mum’s health deteriorates. The years she thought she had to buy her parents out has now turned into 3 months or lose the farm.
Ryan, Graces neighbor, has returned after 8years away and is ready to sell his mum’s farm.
With pressure from the bank, Grace is having to consider Ryan’s suggestions to buy some of her land.
Grace and Ryan are well outside their comfort zones – Can Ryan care avian? Can Grace accept the help she needs?

Jennifer Raines has done it again!
I really enjoyed this read! This expands on the first story of the Anderson family, Taylor’s Law. Another Anderson sister with strength, sass and determination.
Ryan and Grace have a vibrant chemistry that had me hooked from the first chapter! I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow. This was sweet and brave – I definitely recommend.

You don’t need to read Taylor’s Law before diving into this story. It is just as sweet, and you won’t be disappointed to give both books your time.
