After reading the prequel, I couldn’t wait to dive into book one in this explosive series. I had a pretty good read on Riley and Cole from the prequel and so it just made everything that much more interesting to read in this story. The author does a great job of continuing the character development of all of the characters and she writes them in a way that feels relatable. The story continues to have a mix of humor, romance, and mystery all wrapped into one story. Definitely had me hooked until the final page and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Definitely make sure to review the trigger warnings for the book!

I think there should be a trigger warning, some people will not be able to handle the kink. For me this was a good book and informative. I’m not new to submissive and dominant roles in kink. Though it taught me about little, middle, and daddy. I highly recommend this book if your open minded. If your not open minded don’t start something you can’t finish.
Master Botosoni is Book Nine in the Masters of the Consulate series and this series gets better and better and every book if fabulous, and just when you think it cannot be any better…….it is!! Master Botosoni is seeking to know what may be in store to come especially with the stench of rogue shifters and a possibility of a war. This is the first book I have listened to by this author and narrator. I enjoyed the story about a war veteran and small town librarian. The sister with trouble following her makes it more interesting. I liked how the story flowed. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters to life.

A great first book in this werewolf series. This isn’t a genre I usually read, but I am glad that I did because it was very good. I enjoyed this story and became connected to Derek and Annabelle right away. Their story and what caused them to be driven apart at a young age despite being fated mates was heart wrenching, but made it all the more significant as the story continued. Spence is hilarious and probably my favorite character in the whole book. I really had a blast reading this one and can’t wait to dive right into the rest of the series. Well done Brooke May. This is my first of hers, but it definitely won’t be my last.

Curse of the Forbidden Island is a Supernatural Fantasy that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. It’s a short story that I only wish was a bit longer only because I wanted more. This author out does themselves every time with the covers. I could stare at them for hours, they are so wonderfully done. Selena has had not so good luck at keeping jobs of lately and ends up losing her latest job and in serious situation where she needed a job like yesterday or she’s gonna lose her place to live. She takes a job on an island and there are certain rules everyone must follow. It’s said there’s a curse on this island and she’s not so sure there is. People are not the same in the daylight as they are in the dark of night. What happens next you’ll have to read this book to find out. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Fashionably Fake is the 4th book in the Kings of Screen Series. They can all be read as a standalone and I really don’t think the reader misses anything reading them out of order. Morgana Bevan does an amazing job connecting the stories together and giving important information without making it seem like the reader has missed something. I have read another book in this series so I was really looking forward to this one. I was not disappointed. There is so much in this quick, fun, easy read; there is romance, intense chemistry, and tons of drama. The characters are fun, flirty, and sassy and fairly believable. There were a few instances throughout the book where Ros and Jackson seemed to be thinking in circles and it felt like the momentum of the story stalls briefly, but otherwise, the story had a nice flow and lots of good world building. I love the dual point of views through the eyes of both Ros and Jackson. It’s always nice to see things from another’s perspective. I look forward to reading more books by Morgana Bevan.

This was a fun book to read and get quite a few chuckles out of! This was my first book by this author, so I was pleasantly surprised to be pulled out of my reality and placed into a spooky bit of New Orleans. I was impressed by the detail of New Orleans and felt like I was experiencing the history, suspense, and humor as if I were there. If you are looking for a supernatural mystery combined with fun, mystery, and history, your search is over! I highly recommend getting lost in this book for the day. I can’t wait to pick up other books by this brilliant author!

I am in awe of this book. I had not read anything by this author before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The cover caught my eye (pun intended) and the synopsis drew me in. I’m a pretty quick reader, but this book made me slow down and truly ponder these perspectives. It is quite emotional as well so I feel a bit of a book hangover in a good way! It is quite original, and I enjoyed the spiritual theme throughout. You will be hooked from the very first chapter just as I was because this author has such a way of crafting his story that pulls you in. I highly recommend this book even if it isn’t your typical go-to genre. I am eagerly awaiting to see what this author has in store next!

I have read several books by this author, and this is one of my favorites! Although all of their books are different, they are all simply amazing! I was hooked by this book from the very first chapter, and it was over far too soon. Selene is our main character who has gambled her way to the bottom. When she finds a job that seems too good to be true, does she find out it is? I won’t give anything away, but this book should absolutely be your next read. It’s quick enough to fit in at lunchtime and you’ll be hooked just as fast as I was! I would love to see this author expand on this book or even create a series from it. I highly recommend picking this up and any other you see from C.A. King!

Short and Steamy! I blew through this book so fast. It’s a quick read that starts off a little slow but when it picks up it flies by. This story left me wishing there was more! It was equally steamy and interesting!
While I do wish that there was more character development of the other island owners I understand that it’s a short story. However I will be reading more from this author.

Cray the crab is always pinching his friends. After an accident, Cray finds the true meaning of friendship. This book has a great message for kids and is beautifully illustrated. I love the rhyming rhythm of the book, very catchy for kids.

This was a super fun read on a lazy afternoon! I couldn’t put it down!
The first thing that I love about this book is all the recommendations that the author gives out for someone visiting New Orleans. I’ve never been there before and not sure I’ll ever go but if I do, I have a good start on places to visit. I also love hearing about the research that she put into this book! I feel as if I was there, on the streets along with Juliette and Jean.
There is humor (a lot of it actually), paranormal activity, swashbuckling action, mystery and more in this story. I found myself laughing at a lot of Jean’s actions and I figure if it’d been me, I’d have wanted to hang out with him after getting to know him a little bit better.
I highly recommend this book and look forward to others that may follow!

We loved A New Day For Cray. It was such a fun, rhyming, kid friendly way to take a look at bullying! So well illustrated. Cray was such a bully to his friends just because he could but Hay stood her ground and explained to him that as friends they would always be there but they didn’t like the way he treated them. Poor Cray had a healthy dose of karma before he realized that what Hay said was right and all his friends agreed. I really like the author/illustrators bio at the end and how G PA Rhymes was a fun, grandkid loving, rapping, rhyming Grandpa whose kids encouraged him to publish these. They are great stories.

3.5 stars WOW. I am not sure how I feel about this one. Emotions on overload. John Stone is a new author, and he takes you on a journey unlike anything you have read before. There is a lot going on, a lot to digest in Fuller Sight. It is a story about time, space, events, being, existence, universals and everything in between that is considered metaphysical. It starts off with a bang and that sets the tone of the story. It is a very unique, original and intriguing read as it explores someone no longer in the physical plane and looking back at the life they had. There are different time periods explored and reminisced. If you are looking for something a little different then this is for you.

Curse of the Forbidden Island by C.A. King is a delightful supernatural novella. After losing, yet another job, losing her home and having no where else to go it seems like Selene’s luck starts to change when she is offered an all inclusive position at a mysterious island resort. It seems to goo to be true, however upon arrival Selene determines that it is not all sunshine and cocktails, there is something deeply unusual about the Island and Selene is determined to find out what. I really liked the supernatural element of this book, I just wish it was longer as I wanted to know more of the details behind the curse and get to know all the characters better as each interaction was very brief (and there wasn’t much time for dialogue!). Would recommend to reverse harem fans looking for a quick read.

This is another great short paranormal romance by C A King. Every book I have read by this author has been captivating and this one is no different. This is a paranormal romance with a reverse hareem theme. Even though it is a short read the author manages to pack so much in and the story feels complete and not like it is missing anything. I am always amazed at how the author creates these wonderful stories as each on is unique.
In this story we meet Selene. She is down on her luck after losing her job and her home so when she gets the opportunity to go to a deserted island to work which provides good pay and accomodation she jumps at the chance. However things arent what they seem, with 6 owners who are mysterious, mysterious men that appear at night and the rule of everyone wearing masks in the evening all adds up to Selene’s curiosity getting the better of her and her wanting answers. But will her answers cost her the job of her dreams? Or will it open her eyes up to a world of possibilities she never knew existed?

A beautiful story that will help kids to understand both the consequences of bullying and the importance of forgiveness and friendship. The rhythm of the story flows well and keeps it simple for younger kids whilst also getting the point across. Would be great to read with an early childhood class.

Fashionably Fake is the fourth book in the Kings of Screen Series and is a Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. This is a fake relationship friends to lovers trope that is packed with drama, chemistry, and so much more. Hollywood isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. This is Ros and Jackson’s story. She’s about to lose it all and so is he but can a simple solution save both of them? Can their fake relationship turn into more? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This author impressed me with this story. I love well written children’s books. This has it all. Including opening a conversation with our children. If I could give half or partial star ratings, I think for the first time I would. I truly enjoyed this story and this cast of characters that I hope to see in additional entries in this series. The operators were a real Tribe.
Kai Serrano is a movie director. She has directed several different genres and made many successful pictures. She is about to embark on a new movie. A military-suspense thriller. She needs a consultant to aid in making the picture more realistic and authentic. Kai had a consultant all lined-up until he was called out on a mission and would be in the field longer than expected. This consultant called in a favor.
Enter Waters. Waters is a nickname given to by his fellow operators. At this firm, everyone has a nickname and that is all they go by. Waters is struck by Kai the moment he walks into the room for the conversation about whether or not they would consult on her film. There is something about Kai that speaks to his soul but thanks to company rules, he is not allowed to have a relationship with Kai.
Over the next several months as Kai, now nicknamed Kubrick, and Waters work on the movie together, their bond grows and deepens. All of the operators slowly develop a respect and admiration for Kubrick. So it’s said to never judge a book by its cover. Well the cover of Portrait of Deception is what drew me in. What I didn’t expect was how the contents of the novel played out. It wasn’t at all what I expected. The author wrote a twisted story that sucks the reader in. Bringing the reader into a world of fame, fortune, deception, fear, and dictatorship. Beautifully weaved together to give the reader a story that keeps them turning the page. Margo thought she made it. However, when a fellow colleague as well as flame deceived her and took it all away she was left with nothing. A career that would take years to salvage, a crazy hotel repair bill, and an offer from a man that she doesn’t feel comfortable taking. Unfortunately she’s left with no choice. The president of Tiranistan had a twisted plan and Margo is the defining piece. He’s twisted, cruel, and gives off bad vibes so when tries to hold Margo captive she has no choice but to run for her life. Will she get away? Will that be the end? Well at that point the stories really taken off and is left to the reader guessing which event will happen next. You can begin to guess the events by the clues the author leaves, it’s the order in which those events happen that keeps the reader on their toes. If you want a well written book with some twists, turns, and a little bit of romance I suggest you jump right in.

Master Botosoni is the 9th book in the Masters of the Consulate series, but the only one I’ve read. I really liked the book, and got sucked in almost instantly. I felt the bdsm aspect was unnecessary and one that is over done. Rich powerful male, youth virgin girl… same old, same old. Once I was done rolling my eyes on that part, I got back to the story, which is well written and developed. There are a lot of characters, but they are supporting roles and focuses on Botosoni and Catina. I assume they are from the other 8 books I have yet to read- so reading as a series would probably make you more invested in their roles. The ending is a total cliff hanger which is frustrating, but the author was successful in guaranteeing a reader for the next book.

It is obvious how much the Brooks family cares about one another, no matter how diverse and different they may be. Carter’s background and current life gets more interesting with every page turn. As you see where he’s currently at, what got him to this spot and what he’s attempting to do next, you understand more about why he is so quiet and distant. I enjoyed the way Sunny balances out Carter and brings him out of his shell. Sebastian adds his own interesting dynamics in both his interactions with Sunny as well as Carter.
I can’t wait to read more about the Brooks siblings.

I have been waiting to learn more about Miller, and this book did not disappoint. He is quite different from his business owning older brothers. As much of a mess as he seems to his brothers, you soon realize that he’s just the younger brother trying to find his own way. Maisy just made a real drastic decision in her life, though it wasn’t really what she was wanting to do in the first place. Conveniently, it was Miller’s car she dove into and he is willing to help her out in many more ways than she initially thought. Honestly though, Bear is the real prize of this book. He steals the show every time that he’s mentioned.
