Hidden Mischief (Shattered Embrace Series) by Alyndra Quinn – Review by Jessica stone

So, just to start out I’ll say if you have any BDSM triggers this is not the book for you.
With that being said, I am SO excited to see where this series goes! I’m actually going to be starting the second as soon as I’m finished writing this review.
This is a pretty fast paced book, which I enjoy alot, so buckle up and enjoy the ride.

This book focuses of Zachary and Ash, Zach a millionaire businessman and co owner of a BDSM club called Shattered Embrace. Ash is a widowed business woman, ready to explore life again after grieving and hiding away for soon long.

Ash’s best friend is Derek, who happens to be younger the younger brother of Zachary, Derek and his brother have brought ash in to help on projects with their company so Ash has met Zach a few times in a business setting. But what Ash doesn’t know is that the new BDSM club she’s taken an interest in and even applied to become a member is owned by none other than the two brothers.

Zachary is immediately interested in Ash when he finds out she’s applied for his club, it’s something about her that he can’t resist. And Ash knows it’s a little crazy to fall into Zachary and his wants so quickly but she’s keeping as much of her heart out of it as she can, and if she gets hurt? She’s ok with a little pain to feel alive again.

Ohhhh man, the chemistry between these two is electric, some might say it felt rushed between them, but I think how fast they act on their attraction and give in to their desires is one of their most endearing qualities. I love that they are such different people when they are playing, and that’s outside of the bedroom ash is a large and in charge woman, who doesn’t taken crap from anyone. Honestly, I pretty much love everything about Zachary, he’s so sweet with her and even when he’s demanding in his needs he’s always thinking of her first. Everything he does revolves around her safety and needs and all that. It’s pretty refreshing to see to people so enamored by each other, while at the same time maintaining their boundaries in their personal and professional lives. I’m intrigued to read the second book in their story and to see if they can hold out and stay together.

Now listen the only thing that could make me happier is if there was a book or duet coming up in this series about Derek. I’m hoping he’s going to get his own duet after Ash and Zach. Can’t wait to see what this series has in store, definitely going to be one of my new favorites, I know that for sure.

This is the second book from this series I have read and it is really peaking my interest. I usually tend to read romance but this series has been able to extend my reading interests. I find that the books really flow well from one another and that I could not put this book down. I really became enamelled in the characters and the adventure they are embarking on. I really like how the author is able to wind together adventure, intrigue and a dash of romance. I really felt drawn to the characters and the chemistry that is being built within this series. I really look forward to further books in this series to see how it evolves.

House Valdis Origins: Xenobia (House Valdis Series) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Jennifer Reimer

House Valdis Origins: Xenobia (House Valdis, #0.5)House Valdis Origins: Xenobia by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This really wasn’t I expecting but I was pleasantly surprised, in a good way. it was a very short read but so worth it in every way. This book is a paranormal story, its like a pre book to the series, and I will be definitely reading the next book. So I’m very happy to read this one first. This book has some interesting things in it thou, living in a house for slaves, never making friends for they could leave, until one day two girls Xenobia and Urd are sold. This book really packs a punch from sadness, sorrow, to happy and exciting, to suspense, to fighting, love, and so much more, this book might be a fast read but it is so worth every bit of it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was hooked by the title as my inner crazy cat lady couldn’t resist. I might also add I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with the author’s world she has created. This being the first book by this author that I have read and it certainly won’t be my last. I occasionally love a good mystery and this series just ticks all my boxes. The author is able to spin a tale that keeps the reader glued to their seats and eager for what is going to happen. I felt that the characters were really well written and the whole concept was absolutely addicting. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I am a very eager kitty to read it!

I really love this series by this author and this is yet another great addition to it. I am a die hard vampire romance reader and this once again hit the spot. I love how the author is able to bring the characters to life and drag the reader into the book. There is just the right amount of drama and adventure mixed into the romance. I really like how this brings the characters together as well as creates the world in which they are in. The reader is really drawn into the world and left on the edge of their seats waiting to see how the story will unfold. I really love how the books really do blend into one another. I really look forward to the next book in this series.
