Forbiddenly Yours is the second book in the Titans of Chicago series by Anise Storm. As mentioned in my review for the previous book, this series is a (new) spin-off from Titans of Manhattan books, this time set in Chicago. Forbiddenly Yours is a romantic suspense with a forbidden/secret relationship element, plenty of drama, miscommunication angst, emotion, tension, chemistry, sparks, intrigue, and is told from a dual POV. This starts with a Costa Rican holiday fling- that turns somewhat awkward when they come face to face again- as teacher and student. Can they keep things professional and keep their chemistry from boiling over? What happens when secrets are revealed. Well, there will be no spoilers from me, so you will need to read all the dramatic developments for yourself. The story comes with trigger warnings – so if you have any issues, you might want to check them out before diving in. I hate to say it, but this is not my favourite of Ms. Storms books, I just wasn’t ‘feeling it’ this time around….. Let’s see what Book #3 holds. Happy reading!

This was a great 5 star read. This series continues to pull me in with each Titans story. This is Nicole and Callum’s story and it was great. The chemistry between them came off the pages. What was thought to have been a fling on vacation quickly turns into more when Nicole moves to Chicago. She is shocked to see who her professor is but they both quickly realize they can’t resist each other. There are several twists that added great elements to the story. All of the characters were great. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read more from this series. I suggest reading from the beginning of the series so that you can get to know all of the Titans. I love these books! I’ve read every Titan book that’s been released so far and none of them have disappointed me. Forbiddenly Yours is no different. Actually Forbiddenly Yours combines two of my guilty pleasures in these types of books. Passion and Forbidden Fruit(Professor/Student relationship. Nicole and Callum both ended up on a retreat in Costa Rica. Nicole being the daughter/niece of Titans in California and Manhattan. Callum a Titan in Chicago. But nothing could go wrong right. They and strangers during their trip, not knowing the details about the other, besides they both come from wealth. So what happens when after a night of passion turns into their worst nightmare. She’s his student, he’s her professor, which would make any relations between them forbidden. Will they be able to resist one another? Or will they cross the line? I’m sure you can guess the second answer, but jumping in and reading makes it all the more worthwhile. These books may be part of a series, but they are very much standalone novels as well. Though I’ll warn you once you read one you are going to want to read them all!! And they are totally worth it. Just you wait and see, after you take the leap on this one.

This was such a good read. I have enjoyed every book I have read by this author and this one is no different. Nicole and Callum are the main characters in this story and they are both strong and independent. There is some drama, spicy moments, action, and a little bit of suspense. I had a hard time putting this book down once I started. This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it as much if not more than the first book. Callum and Nicole go through some ups and downs once they realize that their one night stand in Costa Rica isn’t the end of their encounter. They return to their real lives after being in Costa Rica only to find out that Callum is Nicole’s professor. I don’t want to give too much away. I recommend this book. I can’t wait to read the next book.

At the end of the ceremony, Callum invites Nicole to an end-of-summer party at his villa. Figuring that she will never see him again, she accepts the invitation. After having the best orgasms of her life Nicole sneaks out of Callum’s and back to her life in the States. Callum couldn’t have asked for a better end to his summer. As he prepared for the start of the school year, nothing could prepare him for Nicole sitting in his senior lit class. Callum, a Titan, is used to getting what he wants but could he get what he wanted from Nicole? I really love reading this author’s works. She knows how to hook her audience and keep the pages turning. I can’t wait to see what is next for the Titans of Chicago!

Forbiddenly Yours is Book 2 in the Titans of Chicago and I definitely was eagerly anticipating my Titans fix again….I love how Anise invites me into a world of powerful alpha men, sizzle and spark, passion but also secrets and danger. There is so much to not only this story but this series, I definitely recommend reading this series in order as you get to know characters that are woven in each story.
What possibly can happen when enjoying holiday time off at a beautiful island to relax and enjoy…but finding the person that totally draws you in to depths that were unimaginable. The connection that Callum and Nicole have after a chance encounter is that….instant spark….believing in just in that moment that afterwards going back to their real lives at home, never to see each other again. Be careful what you wish for….when another chance encounter happens and feelings become real….just hold on for a roller coaster of an emotional ride….especially when someone wants to interfere with everything that Callum has worked for….
This story is fantastic and I am looking forward to the next Titans story.

This captivating contemporary romance has a dark element to it and had me hooked throughout. Nicole has always been the good girl, until she has a one night stand whilst on holiday in Costa Rica. To her horror the man turns out to be her professor. Callum is equally shocked to find the girl he had a holiday fling with is now his student and now off limits to him. However, he’s a Titan and used to getting what he wants, and he wants Nicole. The pair begin a forbidden liaison but secrets don’t stay secret for long. Someone wants to ruin Callum’s career and tries to use Nicole to do so. When they also develop an obsession with her Callum realises that power and money mean nothing compared to her. Once again the dark world of the Titans of Chicago was brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative. I felt immersed in the storyline and engaged with the characters whilst the plot twists kept me gripped.

This was a well developed story. The Titans series has always been delightful with its drama.. This story did not disappoint. I enjoyed how the story developed. The characters were very well developed. I felt they were kind of like friends to you. Even with the drama and everything else going on they still found time for each other. Right from the beginning I was drawn in. Callum is one of that I’d love to run into in a dark corner. The chemistry was just right which made for great romance.

I can’t get enough of the captivating books in the Titans of Chicago series. “Forbiddenly Yours” is my favourite so far. I always say that about each new book, but it’s true. Make sure to start with the first book in this amazing series or you’ll miss out on some delightfully wicked tales that only Anise can write so well. The Titans draw you into their beautiful yet dark world, full of alpha men exuding sexuality, intense passion, and a new level of heat. But there’s also extravagance, greed, deception, and at times, pain and suffering. Being a Titan means getting what you want. What was supposed to be a holiday fling, a one-night stand, turned into something more once he realized she was so much more. Now, the one thing he wants may be the one thing he can’t have, even with all the money in the world. All thanks to someone hell-bent on breaking him of everything he holds dear. The story is beautifully written, and Anise brings the depth of these complex characters to life with a solid hand. I can’t wait for what comes next.

This the second book in this series which is just as great as the first one if not better. I enjoy this author’s writing style that makes their stories hard to put down and realistic. I highly suggest reading the previous book as well to help your enjoyment of this series as well as this author. A well written story about Callum and Nicole. Their story is one that starts with a one night stand only to find out that they are professor and student. Their story is one of romance and some suspense. They are great characters with great growth throughout the story. Their chemistry is off the charts which made the story easy to read and entertaining. They are connectable characters that bring their story to life. This is a fast paced, engaging story and one you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this story and this series.
