This book is not only about the evolution of a new world, but hope for our future generations as well. The amount of detail put into making this new world is fascinating. I am blown away with how intricate this author gets, down to the smallest bit. This book blew my mind and opened my eyes to so many futuristic possibilities. I highly recommend this book.

Maddison Bear’s Heart is an environmental lawyer and her life’s work is to protect the earth and those inhabiting it, however, this work is about to be cranked up into a new gear when she arrives at a conference and meets more than just others who share a similar belief. Maddison is approached by two women of Hopi decent who they explain, have been waiting a long time to meet her and now is the right time to speak with her, this is where they explain about the earth as a sentient being named Gaia who has been speaking to them about the end times and usher in a new world and that Maddison is going to be the ones who leads them to safety.
Maddison is understandably shocked by these revelations and at first is reluctant to believe the two women, however, when she realises that this isn’t the first time that she has felt a presence and that this explains a lot of what she has been feeling for a long time. As Maddison is introduced to the other people in attendance, she realises just how much responsibility has been thrust upon her shoulders, however, she knows she isn’t alone in the mission she has been given, but to the outside, she has to project a different exterior so that they can achieve their goals.
This mission is further clarifies when the sister of Gaia, Adelphi approaches Maddison through another voice saying that she will welcome them if they can travel to her, so Maddison is tasked to work with the military so that they can use one of their newest ships to undertake this journey, however, it is not all smooth sailing when people have to be left behind on their own journeys to help in Gaia’s transition and someone sabotages the ship. Will Maddison and her colourful group of women, men and some animals be able to survive the journeys they are on, or will the military and those associated with it destroy their chances before they can even begin? This is a journey which is filled with twists, turns and an unprecedented level of unpredictability in this adventure to a new planet where hope is the only sure thing which everyone is relying on.

4 stars Hope For a New World is the first book in The Hope Sci Fi Series by Renee W Peek. There is a cast of many in this story, but it only makes it more interesting with the interconnections of all things. It was so easy to get emotionally invested in the characters. Where strong women bring out all the feels from tears to laughter. It’s a world where telepathic and energies within all are the norm for some and connections with mother earth reaching out hoping to make things better. But greed, power, corruption, have nearly destroyed it all. But is there is a way to set things right? Will all be lost for the women who stay behind by those who would do harm? Hope for a New World is an interesting read and one where it is all too real and where we are heading in some ways. A sentient being, a new planet, guardians of the land, protesters, corporate military are just some of what is found in the compelling story.

The Hopi people have long known this world will end and the earth will be reborn into the fifth world. Maddison Bear’s Heart, an environmental attorney, is sought out and chosen by those who speak to the earth and know her as a sentient being named Gaia. They ask Maddison to lead them through the coming of the fifth world.
As she finally accepts the task, a young girl tells her Adelphi, Gaia’s sister, welcomes them to travel to her, a new planet. The corporate military is glad to see the back of these eco nuts trying to protect the planet, they are happy to provide a ship to send them away. Colonel Miller would prefer a more permanent end to the protesters. He sabotages the ship and hunts down those who have stayed behind. Will any survive? They have hope and each other. Women powered by hope, a force for sure.
I have been called the crazy chicken lady, the crazy llama lady, and most recently the crazy goat lady, and proud of it. Living in the north woods of Wisconsin, we call our place Bear Run, because our first year there were 18 different bears that visited our home. I am a retired vocational teacher.
