Aimee got shot and Qadir was there and got his bodyguard to get help for Aimee. Aimee and Qadir got close to each other. I will let you read the book to see what happens next.

This book is SOOOO good! I loved the characters and their romance so much! Aimee is a delivery girl who is living on the streets. She has a great system of friends and a job that isn’t too bad. One day a very urgent delivery comes through and Aimee is just the girl for the job. In more ways than she can ever imagine. She is used to paying attention to the things going on around her. When on this delivery she senses danger and saves the life of the foreign stranger in the lobby. Qadir’s life is forever changed by Aimee, not just because she saves her life but because he is completely transfixed by her. He believes that she is his soulmate. Can they fall in love despite their very different backgrounds? And can their love survive their very different lives and upbringings?

Unexpected
I was very unsure going into this book but what I found was an intriguing story. I was glued from page one. This book has action, suspense and romance woven throughout a storyline that you just wanted more. The author has a very good writing style that made me so vested in the characters and their outcomes. I will definitely be checking out book 2.

Reading this book was a breeze! I was just turning the pages and wondering what would happen next to Wheels! The author paints a beautiful canvas with the layers to Wheels as a character, and Qadir and all that makes him who he is. Reading this story has been like watching a movie! With all of the twists and turns I was so ready to find out where all of the trouble was coming from. This story is one of strength that is clearly exhibited by Wheels. I feel so much more empowered by reading this love story. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series!

Fabulous book….riveting story draws the audience in at every turn. My only disappointment, was that the backstory wasn’t as developed as I would have liked. Kinda just throws Aimee in there, leaving the reader with questions. Quick, easy read. Enjoyed the strong female lead and the way that she carried herself throughout the book!
Out of author SE Smith’s normal wheel house of Sci-Fi, however she did phenomenal with this sizzling romance/mystery as well!
Aimee Wheels is a homeless courier who works so hard at everything she does. Despite being homeless, Aimee is extremely educated and fluently speaks multiple languages. When Aimee helps to stop a plan to kill Quadir, an extremely wealthy & powerful sheik, Quadir is completely smitten with Aimee and vows to make her his wife, but Aimee isn’t having it. Fiercely independent & certainly not able to be bought, Aimee makes it clear that she is her own person. After some twists and turns, the find themselves falling for each other. Can their two very different worlds collide and allow them obtain the fairytale, happily ever after they both desperately want?

Excellent read. Relatable characters. Can not wait for book 2 in the series!

5 Stars

Something About Aimee is the first book from the Girls from the Street series by S.E. Smith. I have read a few of Ms. Smith’s books now, but this is definitely my favourite of the bunch, so far. As soon as I saw the cover and read the blurb, I knew I would like it- but I never expected to love it as much as I did. It was such a treat to read, incorporating much of what I love to find in my stories.
This is a stellar romantic suspense, with plenty of action, danger, agendas, dramatic developments, originality, creativeness, tension, chemistry, intrigue, suspense, mystery, and so much more. The author definitely got the recipe right with this book. I loved every minute between her cover.
Aimee (Wheels) and Qadir are such wonderful characters, I loved them from the outset. They have been meticulously crafted into well-developed individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. Aimee brings such a fresh and somewhat quirky vibe to the whole story- very cleverly done by this talented author. Both her MC’s are ‘different’, in a great way- which added more depth and an extra element of interest to the whole story. I don’t think it would have been the same without these two particular characters. I also loved the little bit of mysteriousness that the author had instilled in them both- especially Wheels with her backstory/upbringing etc. I really wanted to know more about that- I felt that her origins might be something unexpected and really interesting. I have my own suspicions on this, so I am hoping that we may find out more about her in future instalments.
I was immediately captured by these wonderful characters and their exciting tale- finding myself completely invested in them and the outcome of their story. I couldn’t read quick enough; I was that eager to find out what happens. I only meant to read a few chapters before bed to see what the story was like- and before I knew it several hours had passed and I had devoured the entire book in one sitting.
This is definitely one of my favourite, and most memorable reads this year.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, S.E. Smith!

This was a really good read! It was well written, and fast paced so it made go pretty quickly while reading. The characters were lovable and had great chemistry together. It starts off with a bang, so it was definitely exciting and I may even go so far as to say adventurous while being emotional. My only complaint is that while it moved quick, it was hard to determine points in time so I stayed a little confused in parts on the timeline because there was several skipped days. But other than that it was a great read. I can’t wait to read more in the future!

An engaging, fast-paced read. I really enjoyed this story and the writers style is engaging and draws the reader in. The story felt realistic and it was made up of everything a good suspenseful romance needs.

Aimee is a strong leading female who is unexpectedly, but quickly, well-matched with Qadir, who proves himself a great leading man! Through from different worlds, their chemistry is palpable!

I really enjoyed this one by an author I’ve never read before! I look forward to additional books from her.

Something About Aimee (Girls from the Street Book 1)

I love finding new to me authors and learning about their style to see if they are a one and done or if I will be reading more by them.  This author is one I will be one I will be looking forward to reading again.

There was something quite endearing about Aimee and Qadir from the beginning and it only increased the further I got into the book.

Aimee is not your average girl in any shape, form or fashion and that was the beginning of her charm.  Not having an easy life would have a lot of people mad at the world and bitter towards everyone and everything,  not Aimee.  She protects those she cares about with everything she has, but she manages take the wrong person mad.

Qadir is not the normal Sheikh.  It’s obvious he has money but he doesn’t act like others I have read or the stereotypes and I liked that a lot.

I have been traveling for the last couple of days and this was able to get lost in the book instead of worrying about my husband’s driving.  I’m so looking forward to the next book in the series.

This book was gripping! Something About Aimee (Girls from the Street Book 1) by S.E. Smith is my first read from this author, but I guarantee it won’t be my last.

I loved Aimees’ street wise, spunky, and strong willed free spirited attitude. Aimee is proud of her lifestyle and all the different skills she’s learned living on the streets. She is a perfect match for the Sheikh Qadir Saif-Ad-Din despite them being from two completely different worlds. Their love story was one of passion and adventure. I love the fact that Qadir is protective over Aimee, without trying to change her or hold her back. This book is a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs that packed so many emotions. I loved these characters and this book, I can’t wait til Book 2 is out. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who wants a great read.

Something About Aimee is an action-packed romantic suspense tale and a long way from the sci fi stories I have read by this author. Your emotions will be all over the place with the many twists and turns. SE has a wonderful way with words, the descriptive nature brings the reader in and doesn’t let them go They say opposites attract, right? The story is a slow burn romance but I would have liked to see a bit more heat/sizzle/passion/sparks for this couple.

Strong, independent, witty and street savvy Aimee saves Sheikh Qadir from danger, only she doesn’t know who he is. Doing so she has inadvertently put herself in danger but this girl from the street knows a thing or two.

Two people from completely different worlds find each other but can they make it work?

This face paced modern Thriller romance is definitely worth the read!!!

This was my first book by this author, but I know it will not be my last. I am always down for a suspense romance book and this one did not disappoint in the least!
This is definitely an opposites attract sort of book but from the perspective of the main characters live two very different lives and immediately develop this connection that cannot go unnoticed by the reader.
I really liked the character development and the twists and turns and drama this book had!

Overall I really enjoyed this book. I was hooked from the beginning and found it difficult to put down (when of course I needed to because well.. life!) I am looking forward to reading more in the future by this author!

Something about Aimee was a great read that took me away. I felt as if I traveled to New York and even to Jawahir. The book had lots of twists and turns and kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed learning more about Aimee and Qadir, while reading this adventure romance. I didn’t realize that this book is a part of a series when I started reading it but I was thrilled to realize that the story doesn’t end here and I can continue reading the series to see how things develop. If you are looking for a book that will take you places and shows the beauty of the world in both big and small things then this is just the book for you. Thank you S. E. Smith for creating a book full of lovable characters and a world that readers can escape to when they need a break from reality.

A page turning romantic suspense, which had me gripped throughout. The main characters really are complete opposites, Aimee Wheels who was born on the streets and loves her free-living lifestyle, and ultra rich, Sheikh Qadir Saif-Ad-Din, who was born into royalty and power. Aimee is happy with her courier job in New York City, and although she hasn’t got a lot, she’s contented as long as she has her crazy friends and her skateboard. Qadir is used to having money and every that goes with it, and is used to wielding his power. However, his life changes when he is both saved by and then dismissed by a woman carrying a skateboard, and wearing tattered jeans.
He instantly knows that he wants her. Aimee’s life also changes dramatically having saved Qadir from an assassination attempt, and then becomes part of his world when she become a target herself. As well as the fact they have both led very different lives, the couple also have to deal with a rival billionaire trying to kill them. Can their budding relationship survive their distrust and differences, and lead to love. This was a fast paced, entertaining read with an exciting storyline and great main characters, which had me hooked from start to finish. The plot twists kept me guessing and the action, suspense and romance kept me happily turning the pages.

The story tested the true bounds of love and the meaning that opposite the track. I enjoyed their story very much, and i appreciated the differences that they had, but the way they were able to embrace each other. Aimee was such a free spirit and Independent woman. She may not have had much but her life was simple and she enjoyed it. Qadir was much more complex, and quite the alpha male. Watching their love story play out danced upon a variety of emotions. The way he watched over her and protected her displayed his devotion. I enjoyed the story very much and I’m happy that I discovered this hidden gem.

This is NOT what I thought it was going to be at all!! Reading the bio and the label of “girls from the street” my mind was wandering. This was shocking and surprising and I LOVED every second of this fast-paced, action-packed, keep me on the edge of my seat story!

Aimee is incredible! She has such a great disposition just about all the time! Her job as a courier is definitely interesting and I was WOWed how she used a skateboard instead of a bike. She is mentally strong, is kind to people and not afraid to take chances.

My only small issue with this is a couple different times (early and middle of the book) the POV or a time frame was displaced and/or not needed. It took me out of the flow of the story. Those parts could have still been used but put in at the appropriate time frame. This did not seem to be a problem later in the book.

Overall this is so much more than what I thought it would be. I would highly recommend it to those who love a suspenseful action filled story.

There is Something about Aimee.

I loved this book, so much so that if it was possible to give more than five stars I would in a heartbeat. The characters are fascinating, the plot woven flawlessly, it was like a hug that you never want to end. I was upset that it had to end though and will probably reread this one several times over.

Aimee is a strong female character with a tragic backstory that makes you love her even more. Life is going great for her just the way she likes it on the down low but fate has other plans. Those plans involve a super sexy billionaire whose life Aimee just so happens to save. Now with her crowding his mind his only thoughts are claiming her as his and giving her the life she deserves. However, Aimee is not so easily swayed by the promise of money, wealth, and security. Can Qadir convince Aimee to give their relationship a shot or are they doomed from the start? What happens when Aimee is in the crosshairs of a rival who is determined to make Qadir suffer? With the cards stacked against these two will they ever get their happily ever after?

This is a fast paced, adrenaline inducing, emotional rollercoaster of a book. It had me laughing one minute and crying the next. This is one author I will return to time and time again, the writing was beautifully done and keeps you engaged through the entirety of the book. I cannot wait to see if more come out in this series as I will be one of the first in line to read them. Definitely give this book a chance it may become your new favorite book like it has for me!

Excellent character building. My only critique is I would have loved to hear more about Aimee’s back story

Something About Aimee has a bit of everything in it and I love it. The many twists and turns in this book will have your emotions all over the place, I couldn’t put it down!

Aimee is a street-smart, no holds barred kind of girl living the free life in New York City. She is a street courier on a skateboard that seems to banish any kind of preconceived notions anyone has of her. Using her street smarts, she saves royal Sheikh Qadir from assassination. Qadir is drawn to her for many reasons and saving his life is just one. Every time Aimee has something to say, Qadir finds himself astounded.

I enjoy how strong-willed Aimee is and also that Qadir is not at all intimidated by her. This book threw me for a loop a few times! I thought I knew where it was going, and it would change direction. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend picking it up. I’m headed to get the second book in the series now!
