I really enjoyed reading The Goddess of Everything from Paul DeBlassie III. This is one thriller that will and did keep me sitting on the edge of my seat as I followed the story of Gabriel de LaTierra, a psychiatric healer. This is one that really takes it time to build and find that smashing ending, but I felt all the time spent was well worth every second. I found myself really connecting to Gabriel and becoming invested in his journey and the layers that surround it and build. I have high hopes this is not the last of this type of novel from DeBlassie, because I will be there to devour it next. I do look forward to seeing whatever new comes from him. This is my absolute favorite of his so I hope he can top it! If thrillers and layered, well planned and thought out novels that engage you are your thing, this is a book you do not want to miss out on reading!

This is my second book by Paul DeBlassie III. This book was well written and extremely detailed. The players in this book are Mother Juana, Gabriél and Consuela. Mother Juana is a spiritual leader and Gabriel’s actual birth mother and Consuela is Gabriel’s wife. “Goddess of Everything is a blood-curdling tale of the affection of one mother for her son and her son’s struggle for truth, freedom, and love”. This was a great story and so detailed. Absolutely recommend it.

Goddess of Everything by Paul De Blassie III is an original and intriguing story. It is a well written and detailed book that I found really requires your undivided attention. It is a complex story that really creates a vivid image.
This is a fantasy story of love, family and loyalty and the truth and evil that encompasses this. There is a lot going on in this book so when to read this book you really have to read it – you can’t skim through parts of rush it as you will be sure to miss some detail.
This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author and I have to say I do enjoy his writing style. The level of detail brought to his books is one you don’t often see so, although it takes longer to read, it is refreshing. This was a really good, strong book that, if you are a fan of this genre, should read.

Magic runs rampant in the land of Atzlan del Norte. Evil resides there and has taken hold of the land and people for decades. Evil is smart, it hides in plain sight. The people of Atzlan are very religious. When you follow religion so piously sometimes you are blind to what’s directly under your nose. Gabriel de LaTierra has grown to become a psychiatric healer. He loves helping the children of the orphanage. Mother Juan de la Cruz, Superior of the Nunnery and the Orphanage is his mother. It seems they are a tag team made in heaven. She heals their physical needs and Gabriel heals them mentally. Children start disappearing without reason and Gabriel decides he will get to the bottom of it. He is blinded by his religious beliefs and his love for his mother. Will the love and guidance from his wife help Gabriel open his eyes and see the truth or will he see all he cares about perish horribly in front of him?

Mr. DeBlassie once again wrote a vividly detailed story about the dark side of religion. The story is twisted and complex. Between the nuns capabilities to hurt you just with their thoughts and Gabriel and his wife’s visions, the story was constantly jumping back and forth. I felt like I was bad tripping, not knowing the difference between reality and the visions. I had to constantly reread to figure out what was going on. The blurred lines made it extremely frustrating. It is quite possible that I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to read a book like this. Maybe if I had read it at a different time, I would have enjoyed it more.

Paul is back at it again with another absolutely phenomenal work of art. Goddess of Everything is one of those books that you will have trouble putting down, and before you know it, it’s 5 am, and you definitely need to go to bed but just HAVE to finish the book first. I loved the idea of this book when i read the blurb, and i am so glad i picked it up! Gabriel’s story was full of amazing, vividly detailed writing. Paul knows just how to make you disappear into the world of his words with his amazing character development, vivid imagery, and a plot that will keep you hooked from start to finish. This isn’t my first book from Paul, but so far it is absolutely my favorite. I recommend this to absolutely everyone, no matter what your preferred genre is!

This is not my first read by this author and I keep trying every book I see because I do like the writing style but as hard as I try I can not get into this genre. This book did keep me on the edge of my seat but also had me confused through a lot of it. I did enjoy many parts so it may just be an off day for me and this one takes really paying attention to understand what you’re reading. I have added it to my reread in the future pile because this author has a way of weaving his words to create an awesome story and those that really love this genre will probably be head over heels for it.

I will still be back for more!

Four Stars

This is a very original story. I haven’t read a plot like this. I normally don’t read thrillers. Was very surprised by how much I really enjoyed this story. It’s a paranormal thriller that literally has you clutching your pearls. I thought the high level of anticipation would take away from the story but it really enhanced it. Gabriel and his mother’s relationship was very questionable to me at some moments. The level of detail and intensity was amazingly done. You can really tell how unique.

Goddess of Everything by Paul DeBlassie III a thrilling four-star read. This was a rollercoaster of a read as it kept you guessing all the way through, that is one of the things I enjoy about this author, they always keep the thrill and action high, but not so high that there isn’t a story to take you along. Good characters and well developed and overall, very good, but there were just a couple of points that mother and son got a little off to me. Other than that, it good, even if I changed one of the character names in my head as I just couldn’t get my teeth around the word, so I just made up a new one instead.

Goddess of Everything by Paul DeBlassie III is a dark psychological supernatural thriller which is an International Book Awards Winner. Paul very cleverly weaves a gripping and engaging tale as we follow along with archetype realities of good vs evil and lots of mysticism. There are many differences with the characters from those with little or without much depth, those that are complex and have a much deeper depth to them and those that is twisted beyond the realm of horrors and hell.

This is an author I’ve read before but this may be the one I’ve liked the most so far. The characters are complex and de well developed. The storyline had me on the edge of my seat more than once I wasn’t expecting the twist and turns and I loved every minute. The storyline is engaging and unique, I found myself completely hooked. It may be smaller in pages but there’s a depth to this book that makes it seem longer in a good way. Four big stars and highly recommended.

This is a really good read. It’s not my first book  by this author but I enjoyed it very much. I love how the author draws together elements of paranormal and also spiritual. This tale is dark and twisted and will keep you hooked.

His mother is Mother Superior and she runs the local orphanage where a lot of damaged children live. From the outside it looks like she runs it with love and compassion but looks can be deceiving.

Gabriél works with these children trying to help them get over the trauma that’s happened to them. But when children start to go missing Gabriél starts asking questions he may not like the answer too.

With mystical happenings, spiritual assistance and his mother out for revenge will Gabriél and his family be safe or will he feel the full wrath of the Almighty?

Goddess Of Everything is a riveting supernatural thriller by Paul DeBlassie III. As I have come to expect from Mr. DeBlassie, this has an original concept that lept right off the pages. It’s full of vividly detailed descriptions, intriguing developments, and unique, interesting and well-developed characters.
This book blends psychological and spirituality into a tightly woven tale, all of which had me turning the pages to find out what would happen next and how everything would play out in the end. This has a complex and multilayered storyline which will pull you in and grip you the whole way through. It isn’t a light and fluffy read- it takes some chewing to get through, as the darker elements take hold.
The story is set in the mystical mythical Atzlan del Norte where we meet Gabriél de LaTierra, a psychiatric healer, and his wife Consuela. With children disappearing from the local orphanage, where his mother is also the Mother Superior, Gabriel finds himself thrust into mind-bogglingly twisted tale. This is a story based in the dark and desolate land of Aztlan Del Norte, it is a land of desert, scrub and sand which is whipped up into deadly storms on a regular basis, it is also home to religion and mysticism all rolled into one. This is where Gabriél de LaTierra lives and works as a psychiatric social worker and healer with his wife and son, as well as his mother Juana De La Cruz who is also the Mother Superior of the Nunnery and Orphanage of he Holy Innocents where Gabriél works with the children who reside there.
Gabriél loves his mother, but this conflicts with the love he has for his wife and his mother is behind it because she wants his love all for herself and to do this, she folds memories and feelings into his mind like silken threads. She has done this since his father died as they mourned at his gravesite, so as to make her the only one he loves, but what she doesn’t know is that he has another compartment she doesn’t see and this is where the spirit of his father left his message that he will always guide him throughout his life when he needs him. He has seen other things as well, the inner beasts of the people around him, shadows of dreams which come to pass in the days after and the spirit of a person, whether bad or good, he sees it all, but as he has grown up, he has become unable to do this as often as he used to, all because his mother blocks them from him with her arts.
As Gabriél prepares for his day, each one being different to the next as he helps the children of Aztlan Del Norte, he is focussing on one in particular that day, however especially when he is refused access to one of his patients, he digs deeper and finds that there have been reports of other children he has worked with disappearing and although the paperwork seems all in order, Gabriél feels that something isn’t right. He has his suspicions as to who is behind the disappearances, however, when he tries to gain clarity through his own mystic practices, what he discovers is more dark than he could have ever imagined and when he returns to his home, wife and son, he realises that the danger is reaching there as well.
Will Gabriél be able to uncover who is behind the dark practices enveloping the land and the children who live within it, or will his judgement be clouded by outside forces and will he be able to face the coming danger, or will his family be reached by the evil in the air? This fast paced drama will leave you reeling as much as it does it’s characters as mysticism, blood and death combine to create a world of darkness which sucks you in.
