My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I will be honest, I was excited to read this after reading the synopsis of this book, but The Goddess of the Wild Thing was just a little too wild for me. The detail in the story was wonderful, and I loved the fantasy elements mixed with a little bit of thriller, but it was just a little bit too much for me, and I found it hard to focus and differentiate between descriptions and of present happening things. I can see how many would love this book, and It was good, I personally just had a hard time holding concentration with it. I think others would still find this enjoyable especially if you’re a fan of fantasy and thrillers and It has a good story it just wasn’t my cup of tea.
3 out of 5 stars.

Goddess of the Wild Thing starts off a little slow following the death of a dear friend, and then spirals into a wonderfully scary enchanting story. Paul definitely has a way with words! This book is a mix of real world problems and is mixed with magic and dark characters. I was thoroughly impressed with Paul’s attention to detail as the book went on. A wonderful story deserving of 5 stars!

Goddess of the Wild Thing: A Dynamic Spiritual Journey by Paul DeBlassie is a 3 star read.
This story was like nothing I’d ever read before, I will admit a lot of the story went over my head and I had to re-read some of it a few times for it to make sense and even then I only got about half of it. This author has a unique style of writing that will appeal to many readers unfortunately I wasn’t one of them. I would encourage people to try this book for themselves as this in only my opinion.

If magical happenings, witches and love are the type of book you like, I recommend giving Goddess of the wild thing a chance! Eve is our main female character, she will lead you through trying to find love, and if bad love is better than no love at all. With so many amazing characters around her, you’ll fall under Paul DeBlassie’s spell in this novel. Love, magic and good vs evil witches- a recipe for success!

Goddess of the Wild Thing was a good story. Paul DeBlassie III did a phenomenal job at writing! There is some in-depth psychology stuff going on throughout, but especially in the beginning, and it was a little difficult for me to get in to at first. It’s a great psychological fantasy novel, but I wouldn’t recommend it to a first time fantasy reader. The novel picks up the pace about halfway through, but I had a lot of trouble in the beginning figuring out the plot, and the characters, and overall what was going on. It felt like I was just kind of dropped in the middle of a novel, and left to figure things out. But after the beginning, when the plot starts picking up and making sense, about halfway through, it gets much better! I am curious about reading other novels from DeBlassie in the future!

There is a lot of back story in the beginning, just be patient, its necessary. If you like the paranormal, the spooky, witch demon thing, then this is definitely a book for you. Ultimately it’s a story about good versus evil, and how love conquers all. In Goddess of the Wild Thing by Paul DeBlassie III, Sam and Eve are on a roller-coaster of emotion where nothing is as it seems and danger is everywhere. Mr. DeBlassie’s use of language is beautiful and almost poetic. I loved the flow of it.

This is a good story that revolves around love and finding the right person. Eve has always fallen for the wrong guy and when a chance meeting with Sam happens she has a feeling it will happen all over again.

Sam is a lawyer who is great at getting bad people off their charges. Does his jpb make him a bad person or will Eve see more to him than a ruthless lawyer.

Added into the story is a element of magicmagic and mystery when people start dying by what seems like natural causes but Eve knows dark magic is at work.

Its a great story filled with ups and downs as Eve and her friends try to figure out who or what is behind the killings at the same time as they try to navigate their own love lives. With them being guided by a spiritual being will they be able to find true love or only more problems and questions.

I really didn’t know what to expect when I picked up Paul DeBlassie III’s Goddess of the Wild Thing. It stands out from other books I have read as a rich paranormal fantasy that draws on spiritual and psychological ideas to create a fascinating world and gripping story.
DeBlassie’s descriptive writing particularly caught my attention, with the level of detail and vivid language used really painting a picture. At times, I felt this slowed down the progress of the story or made it hard to keep up, but at others it really painted a picture for me.
The central characters are a group of four women – Eve, Shirley, Tanya and Samantha. It’s nice reading a book where the characters are a bit older and have experienced more in their lives. The characters are strong and not afraid to disagree with each other which leads to some interesting conflicts. Although it’s a story about love, it’s good to have such a focus on friendships that outlast the ups and downs of romantic affairs.
For me, this is a four star book. I found it very interesting, and it was good to read something a bit different! I’d recommend it to fans of the paranormal who are after a book that will keep them on the edge of their seat.

Goddess Of The Wild Thing by Paul DeBlassie III – Review by Liz Vrchota

Goddess Of The Wild ThingGoddess Of The Wild Thing by Paul DeBlassie III
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Paul DeBlassie III was a completely new author to me when I picked up Goddess of the Wild Thing. I was drawn in by the eye-popping cover art and the minimal but gripping description of the novel. I will not lie, I really wanted to love this book. I had high hopes but it just fell short for me. I had a really hard time wanting to push through the first 30% of the novel. It just was very slow to build up and get to that point where I was hooked. Once it did though, it was a solid four star read.

In Goddess of the Wild Thing we get the story of Eve. Now Eve has not had much luck in the love department. She struggles with the day to day monotony that most can relate to. Everything will change when she meets Sam. Will Sam be the one that will break her bad luck with love? What will happen to her everyday life when he introduces her to a whole new supernatural world?

Overall there is several different things going on in this book. We have the love triangle of sorts, fantasy and sci-fi type scenarios, and of course the ideals of good vs. bad, and good love vs. bad love. What will ultimately win out in the end? You will have to read for yourself to see just how it all comes together in the exploding final chapters.

Goddess Of The Wild Thing by Paul DeBlassie III – Review by Jenni Bishop

Goddess Of The Wild ThingGoddess Of The Wild Thing by Paul DeBlassie III
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Goddess Of The Wild Thing by Paul DeBlassie III is a paranormal fantasy psychological thriller. The synopsis had me intrigued and I liked the concept because it was full of everything I enjoy reading and I must admit the story was not what I thought it would be. The story is full of witchcraft and mystery, darkness and evil vs good, folklore and the mystics. For me the book was a little too busy and it took me a little while to connect to the story and with the characters. Once I found that connection I had to keep reading until I knew the outcome. This story is certainly full of surprises and many twist and turns.

If you enjoy something a little dark, evil vs good, magic and witches then this one’s for you. Keep and open mind……

Goddess of The Wild Thing by Paul DeBlassie III is a fantasy-thriller story with some romance mixed in. This is my first story by this author and I can’t wait to see what else he has for us. I enjoyed his writing style that pulled me in from the beginning. His attention to details where descriptive and made a situation or item stand out more. His characters where creative and interesting. They will take you on some twists and turns that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen next. You never know what you might find lurking in the next page. This is the story of Eve who has had some bad experiences with men and has pretty much given up on love. Then she meets him, will he be able to change her opinion on love? Eve and her three friends go on a journey of discovering if one should just take what they can get good or bad. They meet some wicked witch who has a obsession with a man that could be threatening and put lives in danger. Eve struggles with deciding if she should take a chance on love but a battle between good and evil just might make it an easy choice for her. I enjoyed the characters in this story as well as the secondary characters. These four women has kind of a strange relationship with each other as they are friends but don’t always seem to like each other. They each have their own qualities that make them strong characters. They will just take you on a journey to find love that will leave you wanting to know more. I highly recommend this story as it is an easy flowing story that you won’t be able to put down until the last page. Find out if these four women find the love they are looking for.
