Falling for You (Buckeye Falls Book 2) by Libby Kay – Review by Heather Stanley

Falling for You (Buckeye Falls, #2)Falling for You by Libby Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was such a cute romance story. It is perfect if you are looking for a quick read! Finished it in one setting, was so good. It is very well written with really good characters that you’ll just fall in love with. I haven’t read many books that have a chef/baker as one of the main characters so, that was nice and refreshing. All in all, would definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good romance!

Grace Under Fire (The Anderson Sisters Book 2) by Jennifer Raines – Review by Heather Stanley

Grace Under FireGrace Under Fire by Jennifer Raines
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a great book, second in a series, but I had no problem following along not having read the first. But, after reading this one, I’ll be going back to read the first! I don’t normally read contemporary romance; I love a bit of magic in my story. I enjoyed this one immensely and it has possibly opened me up to read more of them! I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, the plot, and the authors writing! The story was very emotional, and I loved the journey the characters went through. Would definitely recommend this series, particularly this book.

To be a Fae Guardian (Realm Chronicles Book 2) by Tricia Copeland – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

To be a Fae Guardian (Realm Chronicles, #2)To be a Fae Guardian by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This author is one of my absolute favorites! I have read almost all her books and love everyone of them. This series is so intriguing and the characters are so well detailed that you can’t help but fall in love with them.
Titania is the queen of her kingdom and bears the weight of a worlds worth of responsibility, but she does so with such grace and wisdom. You would think that if she did everything she could to save her realm she would be worshiped yet she is instead put under investigation for taking actions to save her people. She becomes so overwhelmed that she has a heart breaking decision to make.
This book held my attention from the very first page to the very end! I could not put it down. I am so relieved there will be another in this series because these characters deserve more, maybe even more than one … maybe five more or six more heck maybe even a whole 10 more to make it an even dozen!! If you are looking for a great YA paranormal read you should definitely read this series, you won’t be dissatisfied! Can I give this ten stars please??

A Cold Creek Christmas (Reigning Hearts, Book 5) by KG Fletcher – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

A Cold Creek Christmas (Reigning Hearts, #5)A Cold Creek Christmas by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This sweet Christmas Novella has everything you could ever want in a HEA story for the holidays. There is a grinch whose heart gets softened, there is a little girl who wants nothing more than a new mommy for Christmas and a man who loves his daughter but is lonely. The secondary characters are amazing people and really help the story along. I would say this story is more character driven but very enjoyable nonetheless. This tale could easily be played out on the TV during Hallmark or Lifetime Small Town Holiday Romances. If your looking for a great Holiday HEA look no further! Definitely worth the read!

Whatever Tomorrow Brings (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 2) by Amy Argent – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Whatever Tomorrow Brings (Embrace Tomorrow #2)Whatever Tomorrow Brings by Amy Argent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What an ending to a great duet. The first absolutely MUST be read before reading this book. This novel deals with cancer and the struggle to live in spite of all the pain and medical procedures one must endure during treatment so some of the material may be sensitive to some readers. I love Will and Tori’s journey yet I thought it felt a bit unrealistic. Being a nurse myself I have seen these things go down in real life. I felt the author could have done a bit more research into Lymphoma and the treatment of it as well as the real patient experience prior to writing this duet. (Which is why I only gave this 4 stars) That said the story line is fast paced, emotional and leaves you truly caring about all the characters even the supporting characters. Definitely worth the read!

Diabolical Sword (The Charm Collector Book 1) by Melissa Erin Jackson – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Diabolical SwordDiabolical Sword by Melissa Erin Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Daughter of a bounty hunter and a charm collector, Harlow is an amazingly strong character. The author really did a stand out job of adding all the details you could possibly need to this story to flesh out every character, even the character of the sword itself. This original story line is action packed and wouldn’t let me go even after I had read the last page! I look forward to what I am sure will be more harrowing adventures in the next chapter with Harlow and the Sword! If you are looking for an original, fun, mystical, magical adventure with beloved characters who are strong, witty and charming, look no further as this book has it all!

The Mating Call (Long Claw Pride Book 1) by Brooke May – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

The Mating Call (Long Claw Pride Book 1)The Mating Call by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really liked this story. Mating Call is book one in the Long Claw Pride series. The author, Brooke May, really has an amazing talent at creating this new world of shifters. One note I would have appreciated was a little more background on why they are Mountain Lion shifters. What made them that way and what is the deeper story?
That note aside the story line itself is really well developed, with characters that are well fleshed out and make you care about them. I thoroughly enjoyed Cheyanne & Lane’s story and look forward to reading more about the rest of the family.
This wonderful HEA tale will keep you engaged and leave you with a smile.

Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven Book 2) by AJ Renee – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven, #2)Cursed Sight by A.J. Renee

Looking for magic, mystery, suspense and steamy romance? Look no further you have found it in this amazing series by author AJ Renee. This tale is innovative and inspired. AJ Renee is truly a visionary with an impressive imagination.
Series novels that have a continuing arc are my favorite reads especially when they continue to show you previous characters stories intertwined with the new stars of the next novels. This series does just that and we continue to catch glimpses into Brandy’s life. Brandy was the heroine in book one, Cursed Love. You definitely want to start with book one. These stories are intertwined and really can not be read as a stand alone book.
In this book we follow Brandy’s brother, Ethan who had just found out he is an Oracle and Serena who is High Priestess of her coven. Will their attraction turn to love and will their love be strong enough to defy even the strongest magical forces? HEA ahead!!! AJ Renee has a new fan! I am on to book three!! You won’t regret reading this series.

Kingdom of Embers (Kingdom Journals Book 1) by Tricia Copeland – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Kingdom of Embers (Kingdom Journals #1)Kingdom of Embers by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hogwarts, Narnia, Forks, Alicante?? The City of Angels takes on the mysterious bent given to magical places! A supernatural coming of age book that is a mystical mix of everything we love about other supernatural novels. Alena, an almost 18 year old, vampire witch hybrid is rebellious, determined and a cool character. Although I believe there is way more to her than meets the eye. She is the perfect heroine for this series. Blending modern day teenage angst with ancient mythology like rules, author Tricia Copeland once again brings us such clear imagery it is as if we are there watching it happen instead of reading it.
I love fantasy type stories and this one is a great start to what is bound to be an amazing series. One of those series that has readers saying “I wish they would turn this into a 9 hour long movie not missing any details so I could watch this again and again.”
Bravo to the author!! Bravo!!

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Emotional, impactful, poignant, impassioned! Author Amy Argent has managed to write a novel so full of feeling, spirit and intensity that it was literally impossible to put down. You will laugh, cry and scream and you will close the final page and sit in stunned disbelief that the end has come. The first thought I was able to think after reading this book was where is book two?
Will and Tori’s relationship is full of pain, some anger, some anticipation, a lot of hope, a little faith and a great big healing dose of healing love. When Tori falls apart (being a professional in the medical field I have been in her shoes although admittedly not having deeper feelings for a patient) I literally fell apart too. I cried with her and felt a crack form in my heart for her. Sometimes even as a professional we can get so emotionally tied that’s patient’s plight sometimes feels like our own. In Tori’s case it affects her far deeper than that of a patient because she developed feelings for Will.
Will’s struggle brought me back to my own struggles and his desire to give in and let himself stop fighting is so reminiscent of so many people I have worked with. A DNR is a hard thing for any person to accept, but for those of us who are doing our best to save lives it is that much harder to accept.
The characters are so relatable, the words so full of elaborate details that you feel each sentence of this book!! I cannot wait for the next book and to find out if Will and Tori will get an HEA!

Love’s Refrain (The Stardust Duet, Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a unique and timeless romance that exists between the covers of this book. Such and amazing tale of passion, mystery, true love and that desire we all feel.
I loved Kat. She is a true heroine and I really think her strong determination and amazing talent are wonderful but it is really her heart that makes this story so great. Phillip was described so well you get to know him down to his dimples.
This novel kept me turning pages from the moment I read it until I finished it. I really enjoyed how detailed the story is and I love that it just pulls you in. I honestly can not wait for book two!

The Book of Carraig (The Cross of Ciaran Book 2) by Andrea Matthews – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

The Book of Carraig (The Cross of Ciaran #2)The Book of Carraig by Andrea Matthews
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let me give you a little backstop. After being asleep for 1500 years, 5th century Ciarán, an ancient pagan priest in Ireland , awakens to find himself in 20th century after being found as a pristine specimen by archeologist, Caitlin O’Connell, who transported him to New York. When he awoke and the amazingly intact specimen went missing, mystery and magic ensues and the story begins to unfold.
If you read these books out of order you will find yourself adrift. You really need the background created in book 1, The Cross of Ciarán, to fully appreciate the continuing mystical escapades of Ciarán and Caitlin.
As a continuing tale I fully expected that it would be filled with the history the author put in her previous novel, however she exceeded my expectations. I love the addition of the hunt for a serial killer, on top of the hunt for the book that may actually be the key to stopping the serial killer. Again I was a little disappointed in the romance between Caitlin and Ciarán, but in this book it was fully understandable because of the memories Ciarán is seized by. Memories of his wife and his brother, memories of the Ireland he loved and the wicked clash between the way it is now.
A story about finding yourself, finding long abiding love and about enchanted mystery will keep you hooked to the very end! I cannot wait for book three!!

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

No Strings AttachedNo Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is so well written and so easy to fall into. I simply couldn’t put it down. Author Lara Ward Cosio really knows how to turn out an amazing tale. So many emotions go through you as you read this story. I really related with Kayla and the issues she faced. I laughed out loud so much that this tale includes that added bonus of enjoyment and entertainment that is very healing for the soul. I love a book with a strong female lead who proves although men are important in our lives we do not need them to survive and enjoy life. Kayla has it all, a career where she is excelling, a beautiful albeit small apartment, a lovely daughter and great friends. Her daughter’s father is more absent than not from both of their lives and Kayla is ok with that. She has dedicated her life to making her daughter’s life stable and good.
However, an attractive attentive man who has it all, except a woman to share it with, shows up in Kayla’s life and the attraction is instant. Tanner is handsome, dedicated to his work and sister and a family oriented man. He doesn’t have kids of his own but he dotes on his nephews. The vibes and funny antidotes that the author so descriptively uses will make you want more. Even at the end with the HEA I found myself wishing there was more to the story. A charming read that leaves the reader feeling good, No Strings Attached, will leave you wishing for more story even just a side story that includes life for these two people after the HEA.

To be a Fae Queen (Realm Chronicles Book 1) by Tricia Copeland – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

To be a Fae Queen (Realm Chronicles #1)To be a Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Enchanting! Stunning! Breath-taking! So many descriptive words to choose from, but these three stuck out the most. Author Tricia Copeland is very gifted and brings her stories to life, making you the reader feel like you are immersed in the story. Her characters are well thought out, fully developed and polished giving us an incredible understanding of each and every one.

In To Be A Fae Queen we are surrounded by mystery from almost the instant the story begins. Mystery surrounding the Fae King Oberon of Aubren, the queen herself and the crystals leave you wanting more. Titania although young in age (only 15) seems on the precipice of life. She wants to be taken seriously, but seems as if she is not really sure how she should go about it. All her attempts are thwarted by her father the King as he wants nothing more than to keep her safe. Titania fights for her right to the throne and takes us on an epic journey as she attempts to solve the magical mystical mysteries that are plaguing her kingdom.

I love the details Ms. Copeland added to this book. The simplest being the map, however while simple, the map really aides in your expedition throughout the tale! I love the unmitigated brilliance of Ms. Copeland’s artisanship.

Something Lost (Funerals and Weddings Series Book 1) by Bernadette Marie – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Something LostSomething Lost by Bernadette Marie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In an instant, Author Bernadette Marie, has a new fan! Something Lost was a wonderfully sweet story that brought out so many different emotions in myself as I read through it. Dealing with grief is never easy and so many Authors attempt to bring out the pain their characters feel in a very real way. Ms. Marie has not only accomplished that, but made me care deeply about the characters as well. I had a real connection with Rachel and Craig. I found myself unable to put this book down and finished it in two days time. I cannot wait for the next novel by Bernadette Marie! As I said in the beginning she has a fan for life!! You won’t regret reading one of her extraordinarily impressive, emotional, beautifully written tales!

Scarlet Princess (Lochlann Feuds Book 1) by Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Scarlet Princess (The Lochlann Feuds, #1)Scarlet Princess by Robin D. Mahle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an amazing novel!! It captures your mind from the very beginning and keeps you in its grasp all the way through and for many hours afterwards. I was unaware this was a series so when I tried turning the page, on what looked like a new chapter on kindle, I was shocked, dismayed and instantly went looking for book 2. It’s not out yet so I have added it to my must have list. Rowan, Theo, and the rest of the characters have transformed the way romance stories usually happen. I loved all the plot twists and turns. The Princess’s plight at the end will leave you twiddling your thumbs and obsessed with watching the calendar until the next book is due out. Happy reading!!

Can Dreams Come True? (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Krysten Lindsay Hager – Review by Heather Stanley

Can Dreams Come True? (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1)Can Dreams Come True? by Krysten Lindsay Hager
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was intriguing from the very beginning. It was my first Krysten Lindsay Hager novel and I enjoyed it. It did not go as I expected but was definitely a fun read. This was a great teen read that is good for all audiences as it is somewhat your typical YA novel. Quick, easy read. Very enjoyable. I enjoyed how the characters were written, especially the relationship between Cecily and her parents. You don’t always see that positivity in YA novels. I would say that this is perfect for a quick, enjoyable summer read.
