My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Heath Bailey is on top of his sport, with his team just winning the Championship and riding high, what more does he want or need but with his friends finding that special someone he feels its time to put his love’ em and leave them attitude behind him and settle down. So, when he is invited to am event at the animal shelter his worst nightmare appears but when after the event he can’t stop thinking of the bossy, rude woman is there something there.

Grace Dyer has her dream job which she loves with all her heart, the only problem is she is only just scrapping by. When she decides to organise an event for the Animal Shelter in walks the cocky, arrogant ball player, Heath Bailey. The man infuriates her and boils her blood but once the event is over, she kind wants him around, but when she meets him again at his sister’s hospital bed there is an attraction which she can’t really pin down but as she gets to know the real him, he starts to get into her heart and her head.

This is the third book in this series and it brilliant just like the other stories in this series. You get to see some of the characters in the other books, but it was lovely to see the interactions and the chemistry between these two in a full story. The book is well written and can be read as a stand-alone story but the other books are brilliant in their own right would make a great addition to you TBR list.

I loved the interaction between Grace and Cash and the understanding that in the end they were perfect for each other. The sassy character of Grace was just what Heath needed to put him in his place and the fact that Grace called his bull and vice a versa was refreshing to read and be a part of. I love the fact that these books make you feel like you in there world with them as a cherished friend and I hope there is another book or two to continue this series.

A series but can be read as a stand alone. Grand slam starts off as a contemporary romance between two people who swear hate one another. Heath has been too busy building his baseball career to care to have a relationship with anyone further than sex a few times. Grace is too busy fighting for a better life and higher social status than what she was born into.

Both hardworking and determined to avoid each other can no longer fight the romantic pull that grows stronger thanks to the birth of Hannah’s daughter Harper.

Heath realizes what he feels for grace isn’t hate but love and he will stop at nothing to win grace. Terrified to love grace continues to push heath away. Is falling in love in their cards ? Will they overcome grace’s silly social status boxes ?

I really liked the first book in this series, but I LOVED this book. It was humorous and flirty. Zara, the lead character is witty, fiercely independent, and good at what she does. She is the perfect complement to Noah and the background characters really support the story masterfully. I didn’t want to put it down, and am excited to read the next book in the series!

I really love a book that combines some flirty romance with sports. This book delivers that and more! I loved the closeness of the main characters with the supporting characters, they really feel like a great group of friends that you would know. The scenes just pop off the page. A quick read second chance. Definitely recommend!

Love this one! It is my favorite of the series! The storyline is really good. I laughed or smiled mutiple times while enjoying this read. The characters are well done and fun! I love all the back and forth Heath has with his friends about his love interest. Those guy friends are just as nosy as the chatterbox girls/wives of them. Its good to have friends who want the best for you though.

The only part I struggled with was her family issues especially the one involving her brother. I feel since that could have been fleshed out better to make it seem more than just a point of contention that was solved with an OK..no problem. I know that is cryptic but I dont want to give anything away either. I was just disappointed in that whole scene.

Overall this a good easy read that left me turning pages. I enjoyed the way the title is worked into the story. Not sure if there will be more in this series but I would grab it if there are. Fun baseball themed storyline!

Bree Kraemer continues the Ground Rule series with Sacrifice Bunt and boy do things get pretty steamy! Zara Dewan and Noah Ashe, whom we met in the first Ground Rules book are the main characters in this hot romance! If you did not read book #1 you really should go back so you can pick up where we left off, including finding out how these two had initially met, it’s a tale you don’t want to miss that’s for sure! I was so excited to see that their story got to continue, I was rooting for Noah right from the start. This book has realistic situations that will have you reminiscing about your younger years and asking yourself oh gosh did I do that lol. I love the character-building that Bree Kraemer does, and the fact that she continues the story of each of our original character’s love stories! They each get to live their happily ever after with a lot of hot scenes that’ll have you gasping for air. You may want to have a fan close by, cause you’re going to be sweating after this read!

Bree Kraemer’s Walk Off is a great romance read! I love the tale of a past love reconnected but with a twist. The characters are so realistic, and the situation that they are in is something that happens more often than we’d like to think about. The love that Kyle Dulanay has for Celia Mullen is so deep, I felt like I was a bystander watching their story unfold before my eyes. There are so many ups and downs, tears were definitely shed over the fear that Celia has in keeping her daughter close to her, as a mom this resonated with me so deeply. You’ll want to read this in one sitting, it was so hard to put down once I got started, I was invested in the lives of the characters and couldn’t wait to see what the outcome would be for our heroine Celia. This steamy book had me wondering why these two ever broke things off in the first place, they can’t seem to keep their hands off one another!

Sacrifice bunt is about a three book series 😍 it can definitely embed read as a stand alone however I do recommend her first book.

Bree writes about Zara and Noah. Zara is a PR agent for sports. She works with everyone from soccer to tennis but prefers a man in baseball attire ;).

Noah a baseball superstar been around the block once or twice but can’t get the confident naked woman in his shared apartment years ago.

When Zara and Noah reconnect after a mutual friends wedding it’s clear they’re both mad about each other. But Zara lets her embarrassment get the best of her. Unable no more unwilling to allow herself be loved, whisked away with Noah. She plays hard to get; setting up rules to keep her heart caged.

Does Noah have what it takes for Zara to open up? Will Zara let Noah in ?

Read this steamy romance to find out more 😍

Sacrifice Bunt (Ground Rule Book 2)Sacrifice Bunt by Bree Kraemer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m starting to fall in love with this author. Book 1 in this series made me fall in love with the series. I thoroughly enjoy sports romances. Sacrifice Bunt is another favorite I plan to add to that sports romance list. It keeps growing, especially since I’ve been reading a lot of them lately.
The author put together another wonderful story between Noah and Zara. A misunderstanding from years prior led Zara to highly dislike Noah. However, when she finds out the truth does that change anything?
Noah has wanted Zara for years. Ever since he saved her life, she’s occupied his mind. Does he finally get his chance?
I really like the demonstration of growth for the two main characters in this book. The author also makes the characters relatable. I see a lot of Zara in myself, especially when it comes to expressing and voicing how you feel. Yeah, it reminds me of one of my flaws, however it makes me feel like part of the story.
No romance comes without a bit of drama but add in the sports aspect and I’m sold.

I’m a sucker for a good sports romance, and this author didn’t let me down. Walk Off was everything I expected and then some.? The beginning of a new series that leaves the reader wanting more.
Celia and Kyle have been through the ups and downs of heartbreak. What happens when 8 years pass and all those feelings come rushing back?
The way the author navigated the narrative of the story is beautiful. Are there ups and downs? Sure. Is there character growth? Absolutely. It also makes me feel.
I can relate to why Celia made the decision she did, I’ve been there. So another thing this author did was get me to reflect on what I read as well as my own life. In ways I never expected going into this book.
I can’t wait for the next books in this series. Time to go look them up and some other books by this author. An author who’s working their way on my favorites list.

I loved Sacrifice Bunt so much! Zara is such a strong and sassy main character which made me fall hard for her pretty much immediately. She isn’t reserved and knows exactly what she wants. Or does she? Noah ruffles her feathers from the very beginning, and I absolutely love their energy together. I enjoy the spice and humor throughout this story. Bree Kraemer knows just how to bring all of these characteristics into a marvelous read that you’ll struggle to put down (or in my case, shirk all responsibilities until you finish). I’m excited to read the third book already, so pick up the first two so you don’t miss out!

Another great one! Though the second in a series, this can be read as a standalone and date I say I enjoyed it more than the first. The author composes a page-turning read following Zara and Noah. I love a good sports romance and this is no exception. Zara is a powerhouse character and I love her sauciness and interactions with Noah. The author does an excellent job creating well-rounded, likable characters, ask well as tension and relationship. I love a hate to love type storyline and this author delivers it to the next level. I love the first one, now the second, can’t wait to start the third!

Sacrifice Bunt is another fun, sports themed, romance which is book 2 in the Ground Rule Series, where Zara and Noah are beginning to figure each other out once and for all. Noah a panic attack riddled, fire fighters son, who really enjoys playing baseball, and thinking about Zara. Zara, after experiencing the most embarrassing moment of her life and being left behind, naked, with only his shirt, after he saves her from a fire wants to avoid Noah at all costs. This was a sweet, romantic story, with real life elements that made it seem more realistic while discussing real mental health struggles. I really enjoyed reading Noah and Zara’s story and I look forward to continuing this series.

Sacrifice Bunt (Ground Rule Book 2)

I may have developed a little crush on Zara while I was reading. She is what I wish I could be. Confident, successful and loves her job.

Oh where do I start with Noah? I mean he’s a baseball player and most of us can appreciate a hot guy in those wonderful pants.

Zara and Noah’s love/hate relationship was quite entertaining to read and it all went back to a chance and brief encounter several years earlier.

Bree Kraemer hasn’t let me down yet. I have read and obsessed over several of her books and is definitely on my list of authors to read any chance I get.

Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I read Kraemer’s first book in the series and I definitely wanted to give this next book a try. A bit different mentality with Zara, who is career driven as a Sports Agent and prefers non-committed connections. Distractions arise when it comes to Noah, an all star sports athlete, who has quite a thing for Zara since the college days when he found her naked. Their connection cannot be denied and things start unraveling after Zara goes on a work trip with Noah. Kraemer has such a vivid way in expressing her characters that make you empathize with the course of events. Cannot wait for the next one!

Sacrifice Bunt (Ground Rule Book 2)Sacrifice Bunt by Bree Kraemer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sacrifice Bunt is Book Two in the Ground Rule Series. It is a sports romance full of drama, angst, passion, and chemistry. The story centers around the characters of Zara and Noah who appear to be complete opposites and for all outward appearances are enemies. Zara’s focus is on her career, and she has no need for relationships in her life. However, she does happily enjoy no-strings attached sex whenever and wherever she can. Noah has had the hots for Zara since college years earlier when he caught her in a rather compromising position. He has never stopped thinking about her so when he meets her again years later, he vows to swoon her and win her over. The problem is, Zara hates Noah and does not want any part of a relationship with him. She agrees to one night with him but that is all he gets. Will one night be enough? Will Zara realize her feelings for Noah?

This was a well written book that fully draws you into the story of Zara and Noah. It was easy to become immersed in their story and see if Zara would eventually be worn down by Noah. I loved the character of Zara. She is strong, smart, career oriented, and determined to make it in a man’s world. She was unafraid of going after what she wanted and may come across as cold. She is unafraid to admit that she enjoys having no-strings attached sex without the hassle of being in a relationship. When her and Noah hook- up she does not want to realize that she has feelings for him and tries to deny it. It was interesting to see the relationship between the characters develop and see if Noah would be the one man to win Zara’s heart. I highly recommend this book full of drama, love, sex, passion, sizzling chemistry, and enemies turning to lovers.

This is the second book in the Ground Rule Series. I really enjoyed this story. These books can be read as a standalone but I will be reading others in the series as I really enjoyed it. The author does an amazing job with the characters. They are relatable and easy to connect with. A part of me felt sorry for Noah. I feel the misunderstanding with Zara has lead to her thinking of him as something he’s not and that hinders any chance they have of a relationship.

Zara is a very independent, determined woman. As a sports agent she is used to being strong and doing things her way. She doesn’t like being made to feel vulnerable and that is exactly what she feels when she is around Noah.
A chance meeting, a fire alarm which caused them to flee and then Noah disappearing has left her feeling vulnerable but the main thing that is making her vulnerable is if she admits to herself and to Noah that her feelings for him aren’t hate after all.
Noah has had trauma in his past. After losing his dad in a fire, the night he rescued Zara caused him to flee. Since that night he has not been able to get her out of his mind. But how can he make her see that the image she has in her mind of him isn’t the person he is?
Can they learn to trust each other enough to be completely vulnerable with each other? Or will having to be vulnerable be too much for them to even think about and stopping any chance of romance before it begins?
The attraction and chemistry between them jumps off the page but until they learn how to be vulnerable will they ever stand a chance?

I just want to know if the author will be writing books for the whole team? Lol. This another good book and it can be read as a stand alone. However since some character to pop up that are in the previous books reading books one and two isn’t a bad idea. Heath and Grace first meet at the bachelor auction that benefitted the animal shelter ran by Grace. Is there such a thing as instant hate? If there is then these two has it down pat. Grace disliked Heath because she thought he was arrogant and cocky. Heath dislike Grace because she was bossy and he definitely didn’t like her treating him as if he were a child. They start to become close when they have to be in close proximity of one another and are then left alone due to unforseen events. As they get to know one another they realize that they don’t hate one another after all. There may be a chance at a real relationship if both participants are willing. I have enjoyed this series and hope there are more.

Book three. This series can each be read as a stand-alone but honestly I LOVED being able to read about the other couples and anticipate each story! Grace has been working at the animal shelter, though not completely lucrative, something she absolutely loved. Heath is a hot baseball player that Grace simply can’t stand. Or can she? After meeting him weeks ago in a celebrity charity auction for the city’s animals shelters, she wants nothing to do with him. But Heath has other plans when he inserts himself into her life and doesn’t give her an option to run. I absolutely love Bree’s style. The characters are so lovable and easily relatable. I enjoyed watching Heath break Grace down but by bit. The connection between the characters is evident but Grace is refusing to believe she can have anything good. Do yourself a favor and read this amazing series.

Book two. Ahhh I was so excited for Zara’s story! She is the rough around the edges friend and one who hasn’t been in love, ever. Very career focused, and darn good at what she does in the sports world, she doesn’t date athletes anyway and especially not ones named Noah. Noah saved a beautiful woman’s life one day years ago and hasn’t been the same since. Being the poster boy baseball player, he’s never in trouble, never seen with a woman and never on a scandal. Mainly because there’s only one girl he wants. Hint: it’s Zara, from the fire. I loved these two. I loved Zara and how real she felt. Their chemistry was amazing and let me tell you this book was spiiiicy. I loved everything about these two. I am excited to read the next book!

Grand Slam is book 3 in the series and this series just keeps getting better and better. I love these characters and want to be friends with them. Haha
This book is focused on Heath and his love interest.
Back when they did the bachelor auction he met a thorn in his side names Grace who ran the animal shelters they were raising money for. She seemed very bossy and tested Heath like a child. They both seemed to
Dislike eachother a great deal. Why can’t either of them get the other out of their mind?
They see eachother again at the hospital when Hannah has her baby. Grace and Heath end up sleeping at Hannah’s house for the night until Grace leaves first thing in the morning trying to put space between her and Heath before something could happen.
To bad for Grace, Heath doesn’t give up
Easily. This was such a great read and cannot wait to see what else this author has to share with us.

Grand Slam is Book Three of The Ground Rules Series. It is a sports romance story that can be read as a standalone, or as a part of the series. I highly recommend reading the entire series because this author has a fantastic writing style that will draw you into her stories and make you want to read more. This story centers around the characters of Grace and Heath.

Grace is working her dream job at the local animal shelter which she loves but it barely pays the bills. When she first meets Heath, it is during an event that she planned for the animal shelter, and she instantly dislikes him. She found him difficult to deal with as well as cocky. Heath is a professional baseball player who makes a lot of money and that also rubs Grace the wrong way. Months later Heath’s sister is having a baby and when he arrives at the hospital he is surprised to run into Grace. A woman he found bossy, rude, and who treated him like a child incapable of doing the simplest task while he was trying to help with the animal shelter event months earlier. Grace and his sister have become friends since the event which Heath was unaware of. Although Heath found Grace bossy and rude, he has not been able to stop thinking about her. Grace finds herself attracted to Heath as well but neither want to admit to their attraction to the other. Is there a chance of love and romance between them?

This was another phenomenal story by this talented author. Her writing style immerses you into the lives of the characters who you instantly feel a connection to. It was interesting to read Heath and Grace’s story and watch them evolve and grow as characters. The initial attraction between them slowly grows into more and you find yourself rooting for them to be together. Heath is a good-looking, professional ball player that makes a lot of money, but the fame and fortune have not gone to his head. He is down-to-earth, looking for the right girl and is not into playing the field anymore. Grace is smart, feisty, hard-working, and determined. She loves her job at the animal shelter and puts her heart and soul into her job. Although the two come from different worlds the attraction between them is undeniable. This book has love, romance, attraction, passion, humor, angst, and a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

This is a great second chance romance and one in which you will really root for the characters the whole way through. This book is a combination of some of my favourite tropes – second chance, secret baby, sports. I knew I was going to enjoy this book as soon as I started reading and I can definitely say that I did. It was lovely to see the connection between the main characters build again after so much time apart.
This is a new author to me and if this book is anything to go by it is one who will become very familiar. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and the overall writing style. It found the book to be easy to read, the perfect escape into a fictional world. I am looking forward to book 2 already.
