Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 1)Wrath by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am a HUGE fan of this author!!!!

WRATH is a fast, action packed read. It ends as abruptly as it begins. The beginning of the story started in what seemed like the middle of a story. As this is part of a previously published series, I’m not sure if the other stories in the series had the same “theme”. It didn’t matter though because the story worked itself out

I read this “blind” based solely in the author’s name and I wish everyone could read it this way

5-stars

Wrath was an action packed steamy romance. There was not a dull moment in this storyline at all. I was captured by the authors writing from page one. Konstandin was an excellent character. He fought hard for love and had to face the hardest decision ever by going against his own blood. He grew up in a life full of torture, pain, cruelty, and death. He chose to change for Jade aka Rea. I loved his focus and determination despite his injuries. This was such an excellent and action packed novel. I can’t wait to see what is in store for book two. I highly recommend this book!

While this is a very, very quick read it sure does pack a punch. No details were left unturned and I really felt connected to the main character. Only told in the male POV, until the end, we see the the reason and aftermath of running and hiding.
This author never ceases to amaze me with her writing. And I cannot wait to dive into the next in this series, im preparing myself now.

Five Stars

Tainted Saint is the fifth book in the Hawke Family Series by Gwyn McNamee. This novella is definitely not a stand alone, it should be read with along with the full series. This is one of my favorite series I have ever read. This is Saint and Caroline’s story, and boy is it worth the wait. If you are looking for something short and sexy, with a little suspense then this is the book for you. Gwyn just knows how to write a book that will keep you guessing until the end. I love the ebb and flow and the fantastic characters. Definitely FIVE Stars!

I have such a girl crush on this author. Everything she writes has a certain level of uniqueness that makes the story stand out. SQUALL LINE does not disappoint.

Is this the beginning of a new genre? Instead of bodice ripping pirates, we have kick a$$ women who aren’t afraid of “big, bad men”.

Great main characters and the secondary characters were also intriguing. This is going to be another great series from this very prolific author. The story flowed well from beginning to end and it held my attention for the entire ride.

I look forward to reading all future books by this author.

First of all – this cover is hot a.f.!!!!!

TAINTED SAINT is not a stand-alone, please don’t read it if you haven’t read the other books. Trust me, you will be doing yourself and this fantastic series a disservice.

TAINTED SAINT is a fast paced novella that is set in the Hawke Family setting. It acts as a bridge to the next story.

This novella is full of open door sexy times. I am a HUGE fan of this author but I must admit that I skimmed the sex scenes after reading the first time the MCs hooked up.

This story has the weight of a full length novel in that it has a very clear beginning, middle, and end. It has layers that I didn’t expect and look forward to reading the next in the series.

The Hawke Family Series is such a fantastic series it should not be missed.

Squall Line is book 1 in a new series from Gwyn McNamee, and a little different than what she normally writes, but nonetheless I was totally captivated and intrigued by this read, from the start until the very end!

Gwyn McNamee has once again created two brilliant main characters that are real, relatable and very easy to enjoy reading about and following their journey.
War & Grace have a connection that is undeniable and immediately puts them into a new position. Gwyn has given these two characters an epic story that really makes stand out and tell their journey. This is one of the books that saying to much can really give away the main plot, so all I can really say is that this book was beyond what I expected, it’s gripping and thrilling. It’s fast-paced, flows from chapter to chapter and really holds you.

Gwyn McNamee has proven again how much of a versatile writer she is and boy oh boy is this another book that should not be missed by anyone! I highly recommend you check out this read, and all other books from this author, I guarantee you will find your next Go to favourite author.

Do not miss this read!

First off I just have to get out of the way one thing… Gwyn McNamee can write anything! She stole my heart and attention with her Hawke family novels and I have been literally addicted ever since. When I first saw that this was something that Gwyn was doing I had to have it and was anxious for it to hit my Kindle. This was so very different from what we normally see from her and I have to say I like it. This was a tad more angsty and dramatic, a touch of the dark hit the soul when you read pieces of the story and it grips you until that last and deliciously frustrating cliff hanger. War and Grace are two characters that I know will stick with me for a long while. Between the shenanigans that flow on board the ship and the tantalizing chemistry between War and Grace this book was one that had me glued from beginning to end all in one sitting. I can’t bring myself to share much more than what Ms. McNamee has already given us in the blurb so for all the juicy details and bits you will just have to take the plunge and one-click this for yourself.

Tainted Saint is another incredible read in The Hawke Family Series, every book in this series has been brilliant from start to finish and this one is no exception.

To me, for the best experience of this book, it should be read as part of a series and not as a stand-alone. You will not be disappointed with this read, it is full of twists & turns that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout. Once again Gwyn McNamee has created two incredible characters that have been introduced to us throughout the rest of the series, they have always been ones to intrigue me so I really was looking forward to getting Saint & Caroline’s story, and boy oh boy their story was captivating at that.

This is another story that should not be missed, along with the rest of this incredible series from Gwyn McNamee, and that ending is not to be missed! This is a series that you will not regret reading and becoming captivated with! Do Not Miss This Read!

Stars-5

I absolutely love the Hawke Family series! I was sad when the last of the family’s book was complete. Even though the Hawkes are not the main characters, I loved getting little looks of them. I was concerned that I wouldn’t like this book as much, but Gwyn McNamee has done a wonderful job. I am so glad that I read it.

This book focuses on Caroline, Dani’s best friend, and Saint, an employee of Savage. We have met these characters in previous books, but I enjoyed getting to learn more about them. Caroline is a mixture of tough as nails and vulnerability. Saint wants to protect those he cares about and is often too hard on himself. I think that they are a terrific couple. This was a wonderful addition to this series!

I have read books from this author before and this book was just as good as the ones I have read before. I really find this author’s style to be quite refreshing. The characters just seem to come to life and I feel as though I am actually there in the pages as the drama unfolds.

The drama that unfolds around Jade and Konstandin really keeps you glued to the pages. I just couldn’t put the book down. The feud between Konstandin and his brother Tarek really adds to the story line . I must admit that I found the ending to be a twist I was not expecting but as the drama unfolds I really found that I felt as though I was there. The author really has such a brilliant writing style that you cannot just assume what will happen next. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

Tainted Saint (Hawke Family #5)Tainted Saint by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The fifth instalment in the Hawke Family Series, Tainted Saints throws us straight back into the dark and mysterious mafia world of New Orleans. We’ve come to love the Hawke family and each time we get a new glimpse of their world I can feel the anticipation and excitement building. Tainted Saint was no disappointment and I loved learning more about Caroline and Saint. This is a great instalment to the series and another five star read!

During the previous book, Building Storm, I really became interested in Caroline’s character and learning more about her. She comes across as quiet and shy, so I was waiting for someone to bring her out of her shell. Queue Saint, and what a wonderful job he did. From their very first, secretive, meeting during a rather intimate party, the chemistry between them had the book on fire. My eyes couldn’t read quick enough to get to the next sexy scene as the two of them have a connection that is just so addictive. This book also has its fair share of drama, which is expected when it comes to the Hawkes. As usual, they can’t help but insert themselves into something dangerous, which is the very reason we love them so much.

Tainted Saint proves that series can continue to be just as good at book five as it was at book one and two. I love the Hawke family and I know so many other people do, too. I’m so excited for the next instalment; bring on Luca!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tainted Saint is the fifth story in Gwyn McNamee’s Hawke Family series and what a series it is! Every single book takes you deeper into the Hawke Family universe and you are left panting for more! Every story is a complete story BUT they do need to be read in order as you would be totally lost if you picked any of them up randomly! Some stories are the Hawke sibling stories and some of them are of secondary characters so I see good news in that as there is a load of writing material for our great Gwyn McNamee!
Tainted Saint is the story of Soloman “Saint” Clarke and Caroline Brooks. We have met both of them in the previous stories! Caroline is best friends with Dani so she meets Saint when visiting with Dani at the club the Hawke guys are running. Saint is protective and has a heart of gold and Caroline tests his patient to no end! Bring together two strong personalities that lust after each other and you get fireworks!
There is some suspense and danger floating around in this novella and it will leave us with a cliffhanger (sort of) so I cannot wait for the next story in the series!

Squall Line (The Inland Seas Series Book 1) by Gwyn McNamee was an interesting read that kept me reading.

Not my first read by this author, so I was excited to get my hands on this author’s new work. As someone that has spent over 10 years on the water, I may have been a little picky, so I’m not going to get into that. I will say that this book was enjoyable, interesting and had a unique plot. I wish the pace was a little more smooth, and that the romance wasn’t so rushed, and again, that dreaded word, innocent, appeared. Describing the female MC like that, it took away and downplayed her strength, and power that I felt she was full of. Towards the end things started to get intense, and then it ends full stop with a cliff hanger. That threw me a bit, because I thought there was another page, well played, well played. I’m looking forward to the next book!

Overall this book was engaging, well laid out read, that had positive character development. This book get my high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Happy Reading

(The Inland Seas Series #1)
by Gwyn McNamee

Squall Line was a great 5 star read and book one in The Inland Seas series.
This is War and Grace’s story and I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is a modern pirate romance.

War ends up on Grace’s ship and takes her hostage. As they spend time together they start to build a connection along with driving each other crazy. Grace was pushing War for answers to her questions and learned more about him. She started to see a different side to him. We do get some steamy moments from these two as well. I had some LOL moments at the bickering between them. Can War keep Grace out of danger? Can they have more together?

I loved Grace she was a strong character and War was a hot, loyal man. All of the secondary characters were great. If you’re looking for a read that has action, mystery, steam and so much more this is the series for you. Overall I loved this read and the ending was great. I can’t wait to read more from this series.

Ok confession time…The first words out of my mouth when finishing this book were..OMG Are you freaking kidding me??? Then…Oh yes it gets worse…I saw when the next book will be released and the first words then were…I am never reading another effing book..EVER

So..about an hour has passed and I’m over my little tantrum and feel like I can find some words to get me through this review. I flipping loved this book..Totally unique and different then I have ever read. I can see where this series is going to be in my favorites because there are so many stories to tell with this group of very interesting characters.

War and Grace were awesome and this story grabbed me at page 1 and still literally has not let go, I loved both of their stories and even how they met although not your average first meeting it still was as I said above very unique and I still see more story to tell for these two and I simply can not wait, especially after that ending…REALLY!? If I didn’t love my kindle so much it would be in a million pieces right now.. I also thought the addition of the cryptic notes from Mom were brilliant, this is why I love this author so so much…You just never really know and her talent for storytelling is in a class of its own.

But…I still need the next one like RIGHT NOW! LOL

Highly recommend, I just know this is going to be another home run series for this author.

I’ve been dying to know more about Caroline since she has been weaved in an out of many of the other books in this series. She is Dani’s best friend and I’m so glad she got her own book. I’m also so glad she is just as feisty as I thought she would be and her move walking into that office and facing Luca was brilliant, a little crazy but simply brilliant.

I love this series, it’s one of those that I will read again back to back in the future, although I really don’t want it to ever end. Don’t even try to read any of these out of order…You need everything from book 1 on to get the full picture of everything taking place in all of these stories.

You could almost feel the heat radiating off the kindle reading the interactions between Saint and Caroline and you could also feel the frustration as Caroline just wasn’t one of those women that takes orders very well and poor Saint lol

I am completely invested in this family’s story and the way this one ended Oh My Word the next in this series can not come soon enough.

One click this author, seriously it doesn’t matter what she writes but this series is amazing and I just know you will love it as much as I do.

You will have to read the book to find out all the details of the story. I will leave you this quote from the books description that I love:

I love it when authors take a step out of their writing comfort zone and write something different and I absolutely take my hat off to Ms McNamee because she absolutely nailed this story!! I have read every book that she has written so far so I was really excited to see if she could keep my interest with a new genre and she absolutely did and more! I was completely hooked from beginning to end – in fact it is one of those books that you can’t wait to read again and it isn’t very often that I read a book more than once!
I loved War and Grace! They were both just totally amazing to read about! Both strong and independent in their own right – almost like an alpha male vs an alpha female! I loved the interaction between them and also the obvious attraction!!
I can tell that this is going to be an amazing series and I cannot wait for the next book to be released!!

Squall Line – The Inland Seas Series Book One by Gwyn McNamee is very different to other books that Gwyn writes but different didn’t make this story any less great, it’s just different and let’s just say it is most certainly well worth the read. This is just as much a page turner as Gwyn’s other books and I fell in love with the characters and their quirkiness and their normalness faults and all. The plot is well developed and had me intrigued and enthralled all the way through. The emotions, passion and chemistry between the main characters was like the squall they went through, wild and explosive and also vulnerable and sweet.

War was young and stupid and made a deal with the devil, a deal that he knows in the end no one will walk away from. What he didn’t expect is the one woman who got under his skin, the one woman that is driving him insane, the one woman that changed his life. Now if only he can keep her and himself alive.

Great start to the series and I can not wait for the next book to see where it goes.

The story Squall Line (The Inland Seas Series Book 1) by Gwyn McNamee is a contemporary romance/suspense book. It is a story that draws you in from the very beginning and I found myself turning pages to find out what happens next. I loved reading about the characters of War and Grace. The plans that he made have gone up in smoke. He had no choice other than to take Grace. Both Grace and War have a growing attraction to each other. They are trying to ignore it. It only grows stronger. Will Grace be War’s salvation? What does the future hold for War and Grace? Read this book to find out. This story has some romantic scenes that have the temperature in the room rising. I grew to care about War and Grace with each chapter that I read. I enjoyed reading about the other characters introduced in the story and how they interacted with Grace and War. This is a book that has an atmosphere of suspense and I couldn’t put it down until I had finished the last page. This is the first book in a series and I can’t wait to read the next one. We finally get Saints story, i was so excited. He’s intrigued me from the beginning of this series, and I’ve waited patiently to see if he got a book. And this did NOT disappoint.
Saint is a bouncer and part of the security team for the Hawke family and they’re places of business. I knew he had a past that would explain how he got to where he is now, but it wasn’t exactly what I expected!
Caroline turns into a blabbering idiot when Saint is around so she doesn’t think he’s ever even noticed her.
Can one night change the course of her plan?

This series just gets better and better and that ending?! Did not see that coming at all.

I have read every book by this author, so far, and here’s a new series like nothing i’ve read before. When I think of pirates, its dirty old men who don’t know what a bath is, or of course the famous movie series. But these pirates are very different.
Warwick has a job to do to repay debts, never having to deal with more than he or his crew can handle, he doesn’t expect a fiery redhead to stand in his way.
She makes him break the rules, and surprises him at every turn.
I was not expecting how this story went or how it ended. I need the rest of this series like yesterday, i want to know more of this crew.
Great read, kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Gwyn McNamee is an attorney, writer, wife, and mother (to one human baby and two fur babies). Originally from the Midwest, Gwyn relocated to her husband’s home town of Las Vegas in 2015 and is enjoying her respite from the cold and snow.  Gwyn has been writing down her crazy stories and ideas for years and finally decided to share them with the world.  She loves to write stories with a bit of suspense and action mingled with romance and heat.

When she isn’t either writing or voraciously devouring any books she can get her hands on, Gwyn is busy adding to her tattoo collection, golfing, and stirring up trouble with her perfect mix of sweetness and sarcasm (usually while wearing heels).

Gwyn is the author of The Hawke Family Series, The Slip Series, The Deadliest Sin Series, The Inland Seas Series, and The Supernatural Love Stories in the Absurd (as her alter-ego D.P. Payne).
