Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) by James Talisman – Review by Hailey Hop

Journeys Through SpaceTimeJourneys Through SpaceTime by James Talisman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Journeys Through SpaceTime by James Talisman is a book I had a hard time putting down. The author’s ability to not only create several complex universes and characters, but tie them together and have them flow naturally is spectacular! I fell in love with so many characters in this book. I loved seeing them develop as they learned how to truly harness their abilities.
Readers are drawn in immediately as we are teased with each universe’s main characters. It made me yearn to know more, thus I could not put it down! This is a very complex book, so I did read a few chapters over to make sure I did not miss any key information.
Overall, I loved reading Journeys Through SpaceTime. The only wish I have for this book is to have separate books that dive deeper into these characters’ origins! I’d love to see even more of them and what their worlds are like in different areas!

Captured by the Viscount by Wareeze Woodson – Review by Hailey Hop

Captured by the ViscountCaptured by the Viscount by Wareeze Woodson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Captured by the Viscount by Wareeze Woodson captured my attention from the moment I was introduced to the main characters, Isabel and Matt. Isabel is a sweet woman who was trying to set things right and escape a terrible situation in her life, but was interrupted in doing so due to Matt pointing a gun at her heart. Isabel is given a choice to either marry Matt for stealing or goal.
From that moment on, the author makes us question what will happen next. I kept thinking I knew what would happen next, but was thrown for a loop! I felt the characters’ fears, love, sadness and anger. I was unable to stop reading because I wanted to find out what would happen next.
The only thing I disliked about this book was the fact that some scenes in the book didn’t give enough detail for me to clearly feel like I was in the book witnessing it. All in all, I would read this book again.

House in the Woods by Jessica Aiken-Hall – Review by Hailey Hop

House in the WoodsHouse in the Woods by Jessica Aiken-Hall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

House in the Woods by Jessica Aiken-Hall is a book you will not be able to put down! This book is filled with so much fear, suspense, and love that you get sucked into the story. Several times I had thought I knew what the ending would be, but then had my theories thrown out the window as another clue was discovered by the main character, Molly.
Molly is such a likeable character. From the moment we meet her, she is a kind-hearted woman. When she finds the flyer of a missing woman while searching for her ill mother, her curiosity to learn more of who this woman was draws the reader into the mystery.
You will not be disappointed with this well written book.

Terrifying Love – A Halloween Anthology – Review by Hailey Hop

Terrifying Love: A Halloween AnthologyTerrifying Love: A Halloween Anthology by Serena Nova
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book definitely kept my attention. It was hard to put down! The authors all did an amazing job capturing fear, heartbreak, fear, and excitement in a small amount of time.
There are 7 short stories as well as a poem for each short story that work together beautifully. The poems would draw me in, and then the author would captivate me with unique stories that I probably would have never read on my own had they been separate books. I’m glad I gave this book a shot because I was introduced to several different authors- some of which have been added to my must read list!
I highly recommend giving this book a chance, and then going to read the authors’ other works. I know I am!

Secure Decision (Chase Security Series Book 5) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Hailey Hop

Secure Decision (Chase Security Series Book 5)Secure Decision by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

R.L. Dunn did an amazing job when writing this book. I had troubles putting it down! Dunn’s ability to make me feel like I not only know the military-type terms and situations but also medical situations was outstanding. I really felt like I was there with the characters seeing everything unfold.
As soon as I met Ellie, I was hooked! She is such a relatable character in so many different ways. As Wes’ character developed alongside her, I fell in love with the two. Several times I wanted to yell at Wes and Ellie! I felt their frustrations as they went through daily work life at the Chase Center for Training as well as personal life struggles.
The book is a stand alone, but I am definitely going back to read the previous books of this series!
